Computer has to be ON for Apple TV to find "my movies"!!!!!?????

Mysteriously, apple TV can't play movies I've bought on the apple TV unless my computer is on. I get an error message "there are no movies on apple tv... make sure your computer is on". Am I missing something obvious? If I shut my Macbook while a movie is playing, the Apple TV reverts to the error message.
To be clear- this was a movie purchased on Apple TV, and in iTunes it shows up the green STORE folder "Purchased on Apple TV".

You must have your Apple TV set up to sync content back to iTunes.
When it does this it deletes the content from the Apple TV and streams it from the computer copy.
You need to change the settings in iTunes to keep the content on the Apple TV.

Apple tv keeps asking me for my credit card security code to rent a movie. I want to use my apple credit.

If you have credit then it will automatically use that, the code verification is simply for security purposes.

Why does it take so long for Apple TV to stream a movie?

I have a really fast internet connection on Verizon TV (75 over 35) but when I purchased a movie to stream over Apple TV earlier this evening, it said it would take over 48 hours before I could watch it! What gives? Not happy with this at all!!! Who can I complain to? Don't wanna any for a movie I can't watch tonight.

With my setup it takes 3 seconds to duplicate a 3MB file in iPhoto. A lot will depend on the processor speed (we're the same) memory (again the same) and free space on the HD (I've got much more than 20G). My Mac, however, is a G5 and that may be the difference.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

General failure -the browser fails to perform especially after computer has been left switched on for a while.

After the computer has been switched on for a while and I try to access the internet - it fails to do so and the message I get is : -General Failure - followed up by the specific address/site which it cannot open. This is happening with increasing frequency especially when I try to open email links etc. I then switch off the computer and after a few minutes or even half and hour, i reboot and it then becomes possible to open whatever was not possible before. This is quite irritating however.

Thank you for the suggestion and having tried it with other browsers, I can now confirm that it only happens with FF. I like FF a lot and hate to bother with other browsers but it I have to, I will most reluctantly abandon it.
By the way, having downloaded 36 of your recommended ADD-ONS, I had to get rid of them(uninstall). They not only cluttered up the start-up page but noticeably slowed down the computer. ( I left about half a dozen). Moreover, what is the point of them unless there is an icon or a button that I can click on for instant access to an ADD_ON. Instead I had to search hard to access the ones that I wanted and even then was unable to engage them. For example, I download clocks and a currency converter but was unable to use them.

Yup, updated my Apple TV and got sky news and a couple of other new apps I will never use. I am growing increasingly fed up with looking at all the good stuff there is on offer in America and nothing in the UK..... I know I shouldn't look :)
And it's not just Apple I suppose, checking out the apple and Microsoft US movie stores and they have a much better selection. Wish we all had the willpower to stop giving these companies money until they fulfil customer needs...

How do I know if my computer has a SuperDrive?

I am trying to use IDVD but it wont appear at all and then it said you needed a SuperDrive so I don't know if my computer has one?

Click the Apple icon in the menu bar and choose 'About this Mac'. Click the 'More Info...' button.
In the sidebar or the pane which opens, click 'Disc Burning' (expand thue 'Hardware' list if necessary to see it) and in the list you will see 'DVD write' and the types it can burn: if it doesn't have this you don't have a superdrive (unlikely, I would have thought, they've been standard for some years).

Flash Builder 4.5 support for Apple iOS

Hi All,
Its really good to hear that FB 4.5 has come with support for Apple iOS. Out of my curiosity I tried downloading the latest FB 4.5 trial version and create a sample mobile app , but to my surprise 'Apple Platform' was not listed under 'New Flex Mobile Project' wizard and appears only under 'Actionscript Project', Can anybody there help me in craeting a flex mobile project for iOS?

At this time, you can only create an AS project for iOs.
I heard, that whis realease of Flash Builder 4.5 you can create mxml
project for all plateform.

Apple will do nothing to assist. Problems about proof of ownership are too complex. Once the computer has been formatted it cannot be traced by Find My iPhone or any other software process.

Have you checked lately to see how much free space there is on the disk? Especially since iPhoto freezes at launch ...
Click your Apple menu icon top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac > More Info > Storage
Make sure there's at least 15% free disk space.
And make sure the OS X software is up to date.
Click the Apple  top left in your screen.
From the drop down menu click: Software Update
If you have anti virus software installed or are using third party Mac cleaning utiliites, that may be part and parcel of the your problems.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
