Computer is "not authorized" but it is

I am trying to synch my iPhone 4s with MacPro (early 2011) but I keep getting a message that computer is not authorized. Yet it is, and every time i "re" authorize the computer the message says it is already authorized. So how can I get past this message to synch up my iPhone ?

i Have had no issues with the setup until recently.

The computer needs to be authorised to play with whatever Apple ID purchased the music. You may need each computer to be authorised with all Apple IDs.
Have a look at the get info summary page of the media and see what Apple ID purchased it. Then authorise the computer with that Apple ID
Store > Authorise this computer
This is separate from the Home Sharing element

I am using a laptop from my home family of computers but when I try to play a movie I have transferred from my desktop, first iTunes says I am not authorized to play this movie. Then when I sign in to authorize the movie, it says that I am authorized on this computer but I still can't play the movie. When I try to play it again, the whole routine starts over again. Suggestions????

I'm having exactly the same problem. I just tried all the suggestions in the link from Jim and none of them made any difference. Tried calling Apple support but just got bounced round by people who didn't seem to know what they were talking about.

I have HP Pavilion TouchSmart with Windows 8.1 and current version of iTunes. I downloaded 2 apps to my laptop and am attempting to sync my iPod Touch but keep getting an error stating my computer is not authorized but it is. How do I fix this?

Why am I not able to access a tune because my computer is not authorized... but it IS!?!

Why can't I access a tune after purchasing an entire CD, there is only one tune not available. It shows my computer is not authorized, but it actually is. I have downloaded 100 plus tunes int heis session and I can't access this one tune. Why!?!

It's corrupt. Delete and redownload it if doing so is free in your country.

Ever since updating to IOS5 my iPhone will no longer sync with my iTunes on my computer. It states that my computer is not authorized to sync with my iPhone yet it is authorized. My "Music" folder on my iPhone is now showing as completely empty.

Guys, I found another user and what he said to do worked!!! I have copied the information below:
This was 1 of the things that happend to me too, the other one was that at the bottom of the itunes page were it says all the memory info, it marked that I had over 3gb of other memory wich I didn't.
Anyways what I did was to unmark the calendar, contacts etc. ( so that they wont sync with the computer ), pressed apply, then I marked all of them again, apply again and for last I pressed Sync wich is at the bottom right coner by the apply botton.
I'm not sure that had anything to do with it but it worked, my music appeard both of my itunes playlists and the ones I bought in itunes. Also the other memory dissapeard and it's all good.
I'm not sure this will help you but thats my 5 cents, if the problem continues its better to call customer service and ask for a technician.

Itunes says my computer is not authorized to play videos

I know this is a problem that Apple is aware of. I have tried several ways and I cannot get my iMac to play the videos I have purchased. I get an error message saying the computer is not authorized, but when I try to authorize it I get a message telling me it already is authorized. I think the only thing I haven't tried is going into the Terminal and following the instructions Apple gives, but I am not comfortable doing that as I know I can mess up the computer if I do it wrong. iTunes will play my music but not my TV shows.

Try deleting the SC info folder in the article below and the Authorize your account again that way you are not doing anything in terminal that would make you feel uncomfortable

Same problem. Not sure if it's since updated to Mavericks or iTunes updated. Must be one of the two as it has never happened before. Tried updating iTunes but still happens.
On one album I bought for example, it will only play certain songs; others it will tell me it needs authourising and then go ahead and tell me that it's already authourised. Fun.

Try deauthorizing the computer, logging out of the iTunes store, rebooting your PC, logging back into the iTunes store, and reauthorizing your computer.
