Computer isn't recognizing Zen V Plus two days after everything was working fi
My computer isn't recognizing my Zen V Plus. Everything was fine two days ago, I was able to upload music and create playlists. I have contacted Creative and they haven't been much help. Here is everything:. I am running Windows XP;2. Other items work when plugged into the USB ports;3. The player will charge when plugged into the USB port;4. It isn't being recognized AT ALL by the device manager, or the Zen V Series Media Explorer;5. I had already been using Windows Media Player w/ Urge prior to receiving the MP3 player (and as I mentioned it worked fine with the WMP for several days). Although I went ahead and downloaded the patch to be safe;6. I am always logged in as the administrator. Please help! Any advice is GREATLY appreciated! Creative has been horrible in offering support. They seem to ignore certain portions of my emails.

I have a tagging program, but I neglected to mention is exclusi'vely use WMA format. That doesn't matter.
There are no duplicate files, because I check that before uploading to the unit.
I've figured out a few ways to solve this problem, though. One way is to create a playlist. The Zen displays the correct file count this way.
Another way is to select files via album, artist, or genre, and THEN go back to All Tracks.

Exactly! The password I used to log on here and write my post I figured was the same Apple ID password I would use to reset my computer login password. But my computer isn't recognizing it as the correct password so it wont let me update my login password. I have 2 user accounts on my computer.
As far as the link you provided, I already looked to that for help earlier. It states:
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Users & Groups, click the lock to unlock it, then provide an administrator name and password. Select a user, then click Reset Password.
I did these steps, but I don't remember my admin password. The question is: How do I reset my admin password so I can reset my log in password.
Is my admin password the same password I use to log onto this website to post questions? If so, like I said previously, I already reset that password and my computer isnt recognizing it. -
I just got a new macbook and before i had to sync all my photos from my old mac onto a bunch of flash drives and most are on my phone. Ive successfully imported the flash drives and the photos on my camera roll to my new macbook iPhoto but not the other 1,000+. My computer isn't recognizing it maybe because its in 'mac events'. Does anyone know what to do? Please help it would be greatly appreciated especially since i don't have much room left on my iphone anymore. thank you.
You'll need third party software to get the images not on your camera roll. iExplorer is one such app, but there are others. Search on MacUpdate

When Creating OR, customer requested date is coming two days after ???

When ever I am creating OR, requested date of delivery is not the present date, but it is coming after two days(i.e. if I request for today, it is giving after Plus two days). I have checked at VOV8 for the proposed date, I have not mentioned any specific date. Please let me know, how to over come this.

Mac mini won't connect to internet two days after installing 10.4.4
Two days after I installed 10.4.4 on my Mac mini. It will no longer connect to the internet. At first I thought it was just the airport extreme card malfunctioning. So today I turned off the airport extreme card, and tried the built-in ethernet and I'm having the same problem. The odd thing with the airport extreme card is that it showing that its connected to the right network but won't do anything.
Any suggestions?

same problem. I too have a Mac Mini and upgraded to
10.4.4 a couple of days ago. It doesn't seem to be
pulling an IP address from our DHCP server(Win and
Lin clients are working fine), and when I give it a
static IP, I can't ping anything from the Mini.
However, I can ping the Mini from other
boxes. It does it with wifi as well as ethernet. I
know the wifi AP is working fine - other clients are
running with it, and the Cat5 I used to connect the
Mini to a switch should be working fine(it was what
the access point is/was using to connect to the
switch).
Maybe its totally unrelated, but it your situation
seems eerily similar to mine.
It does your situation does sound very close to mine. Like you said in your post I can ping the mini from other machines and I get responses back, but I can't ping anything from the mini.
The more I think about this problem I'm not sure if its hardware related, software related, or both. I wish I had another hard drive that I could boot from externally to see if my theory is correct. -
Install maverik on my MacBook Pro, I had no problem. Two days later I was shut down suddenly and reboot with a closed padlock and asking me for a password that does not match any of mine. What can I do?
Try booting to the Recovery drive, running Disk Utility and Repair disk and Repair Permissions.
1. Reboot and immediately hold down command and R (two keys).
2. When you see the screen shown on this page, select Disk Utility and continue.
3. When DU is running, select the hard drove on the left, First Aid and Repair Disk.
4. After Repair Disk, click Repair Permissions.
Quit DU and restart. -
I just. Bought an iPad air 2 about two weeks ago. Was working great then it froze on me shut off and won't turn on now?
A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure. -
It cracked in Jan 2012 but I jailbroke it in June 2012, than unjailbroke it two days after I jailbroke it. Can I still take it to Apple to get the screen fixed at whatever cost. And can they find out? I wanna make it where they cant!
Only Apple knows. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. The worst is that they say no.

Zen V PLus 4gb inoperative after Firmware upgr
I upgraded the Zen V Plus 4gb to Firmware version .32.0 for Windows Vista 32 bit. After powering down, the player will not power up. The screen remains dark and it is not recognized in Windows Explorer or in the ZEN V Series Media Explorer. Using the reset button and recovery tool has no effect. Holding play while powering up has no effect. Trying to power up or connecting to the computer illuninates the play/pause and options buttons solid blue. Battery status is 80-90% charged. In Device Manager it is displayed as Player Recovery Device Class. Player is approx. six weeks old. Does anyone have any suggestions that would help revi've this player ?
I have that same problem, even without upgrade firmware, with my brand new player.

Bought Zen Micro to replace Zen Nano Plus - Can't get it to work

Have tried to download drivers and software for Zen Micro. When I try to run it though, it does not install because it says that I do not have device connected. Have erased everything off of Zen Micro, but have not reformatted. When I attach Zen Micro to PC, Zen Micro displays "booted" & PC displays "Zen Micro" for a second or two, then switches to "MTP Device"?. Do I need to erase everything from the Zen Nano Plus first?2. If you are referring to adding a secondary account, to a single device, then you can do this at system preferences >mail, contacts & calendars. -
ZEN Nano Plus 1Gb Not Recognised, but 256Mb Works F
HI all, I've searched the FAQ but can't find anything like the problem I'm experiencing here.
I purchased a 256Mb Zen Nano Plus for my son at Christmas, and a Gb Zen Nano Plus for my wife. The 256Mb unit installed perfectly, works perfectly, no issues.
However the Gb unit does not install correctly - Windows XP SP2 recognises it as a Creative unit, although it takes an age for it to recognise the disk dri've. It appears in device manager as a generic storage volume with no drivers installed, and does not appear under My Computer - I can't even tell what firmware version is installed.
I've installed the correct drivers from Creative Technical Support. Have also tried to update the firmware, but the updater cannot find the Gb unit connected to the system.
After trying various driver updates on my own PC, uninstalling the software, reinstalling, Creative support suggested it's faulty and I should get a replacement.
Well the replacement arri'ved today and it has EXACTLY the same problems - can anyone help or advise?

BT68Arcl, I haven't a clue what's happening - have spent the best part of 5 days fiddling and installing/reinstalling. As you say, the drivers for the 256Mb and Gb are exactly the same, so why one unit should work perfectly and the larger unit refuse to work at all, I have no idea.
As stated elsewhere it appears to be some sort of compatibility issue, but I've tried it without ANY other USB devices connected, have updated my USB and Chipset drivers, and it's got me nowhere. Looks like I'll be getting a refund and going for a Sony player similar to my own, as although the software's clunky I know at least it works and is pretty much hassle-free.
Why does it seem to be a problem with the Gb units though? Both cadman and Nespa in the other thread are experiencing issues with the units, I assume they're Gb too?

All my artwork (frames, graphics, shapes, etc.) are suddenly all marked PLUS and I am unable to use any of them! What happened. I've been using them for years and now suddenly they are taken away! Do I need to become a PLUS member again? If so, how do I accomplish that?
The artwork that came with the program is no longer there. Yes, I did download the plus items. Like I said, they were working until two days ago when everything suddenly disappeared. Would it do any good to reload the program?
