Computer isn't the same since it crashed...Please Help :(
My Computer went down a few weeks ago and completely froze me out after I did a software update. After installing the restart disc etc...I still can't get certain things back to normal...1st and foremost...Apparently i'm running version 10.2.8, but the discs that came with my computer are Panther 10.3. I've tried installing the 1st disc numerous times but just as I think it worked (FINALLY) I get "There was an error installing the software, please try again". How could this be possible...I was definitely running at least 10.3 pre-crash.
Any Advice?

Welcome to Apple Discussions.
I could ask questions about whether you used Disk Utility to Repair Disk and Repair Permissions, but let us go directly to a process which should take care of your issues. I recommend reinstalling Panther (OS X 10.3x) and here is what I suggest:
Panther: Archive and Install
If you do not have your original install disks or a Full Retail Version you can get one on eBay relatively inexpensively.
If you have the right disks here is what you do.
1. Warning: Although we will use Archive and Install there is always a risk something can go wrong. As a precaution back up your User Folder and any apps you can't afford to lose.
2. Check to see if you have the latest Firmware Update

3. Boot from the install disk holding down the C key.
4. Once booted go to the Installer Menu and open Disk Utility.
5. Run Repair Disk. If there are problems, run it until no problems are reported. If it reports that it can't repair the problems you might need TechTool Pro or Disk Warrior.
6. While still in Disk Utility run Repair Permissions.
7. Quit Disk Utility and open the Installer.
8. Choose the option to Archive and Install. This saves your data in a Previous Systems folder, which you can retrieve after installation.
9. You might want to Customize and deselect Foreign Language Translations and Additional Printer Drivers to save Hard Drive space.
10. Proceed with installation.
11. After installation is complete computer will restart. Follow prompts and set up computer.
Open Disk Utility (Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility) and Repair Permissions.
12. Go online and download updates, or go to Software Update under the Apple Menu and update your OS.
13. Transfer your User Folder from Previous Systems folder.
NOTE (below):
To do a clean install:
Follow steps 1 through 4 above.
a. In Disk Utility select your HD in left panel and Erase in main panel.
b. Be sure Volume Format is Mac OS Extended and the checkbox Mac OS 9 Drivers Installed is checked.
c. Select Options at bottom left in Erase panel. (
WARNING! This procedure will erase the contents of your entire HDD. Be sure you back up anything you cannot afford to lose!
Select option to zero all data. Click OK. Click Erase.
This process will take a while, so this is a good time to take a long walk or call your mother
d. After HDD is erased resume at No. 7 above.

That's the way tables work in iWork. No option for automatic break within a cell/row. As you guessed, it's your responsibility to fix it manualy. Sometimes you can downsize the font or increase the column width to gain some room for your content. If you want constant format, you've got to do the manual breakup.
I'll add that Tables aren't always the best container for your material. I know that it's a comfortable look and feel, but when a row takes up a whole page, it may be time to rethink the design.

when i turn on itunes, it crashes automatically with the error message saying "itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close." I've tried reinstalling itunes but its the same. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!

i think i might have a solution... i have windows vista and after i installed to latest itunes update everytime i tried to open it it would freeze. I tried everything, including uninstalling itunes and all of its components and reinstalled it numerous times. So i went to the itunes folder in my folders, not on itunes, and i deleted my itunes library and playlists. After that it worked just fine, all of my music was deleted but luckily i had my files saved elsewhere.
I hope this helped! I know its frustrating and APPLE/ITUNES NEED TO FIX THE PROBLEM!!!! -
My iPad and iPhone have the same syncing calendar but my Windows 7 PC with iCloud does not sync/show the same calendar...please help!
iCloud will not sycn a calendar from an external source. In order to use iCloud to sync it, you would have to move it to iCloud and stop using Google. I know how to do that on a Mac, but I'm not sure how to do it on a PC. If you're using Outlook, I suspect you export it as an .ics file to your desktop, then import it to the iCloud account in Outlook. I'm sure you could use Google to find the specific steps.
However, there's really no reason not to just use Google to sync your calendar across your devices. Instead, just continue to use Goole calendar on all your devices and they should stay in sync. Take a look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0Jj0KFgbYI. -
Firefox might have crashed permanently, I don't know. I have tried repeatedly to log on but continue to get the same message "sorry we have crashed" I clicked re-start but the exact same message appears. Please help.
Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.

If possible uninstall your current Firefox version to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
*Do NOT remove "personal data" when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords including data in profiles created by other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure NOT to remove personal data when you uninstall Firefox as that will remove all Firefox profile folders and you lose your personal data.
If you keep having problems then also create a new profile.

I have 2 iphones syncing on one computer and on the same apple ID.
Before i updatad my Itunes to the last available update and my Iphones to 5.01
i had no problem draging jpg. and mp3 files into my iphones DCIM folder (the picture folder that opens
when conecting to Itunes). Since my updates Itune wont let me drag and drop any files' even pictures that
were taken with my Iphone on 4.3.3.
Please help as we have no itunes music in Israel, only apps and i cant copy any of my old music from my computer
to my iphones.
If it helps, i am using a pc with 32 bit windows 7.
Other from the obove Itunes works fine and does sync pictures from my computer to my Iphone from "my pictures" folder.

I already took a chance deleting one of the iPhones, hoping if I deleted the wrong one, I can still reauthorize it (all with the same Apple ID acct, so not subject to 90-day waiting period, right?) The iTunes database just updated itself, and it says I have 4 "devices" "in the Cloud", but 5 "computers" associated w my account. How can I find out what computers are associated? Isn't there a list I can see? I dont have a clue what computers they might be. If I use the "Deauthorize All" option, is it a pain to add them all back in. I assume I would have to log in from each computer to reauthorize each one. Would I have to be running the newest OS or version of iTunes to reauthorize? I think I have a PowerBook G4 Titanium with an older OS and iTunes. I'd like to keep that authorized, if possible.

Can 2 different computer accounts share the same Itunes library?
Does anyone know: Is it possible for two users on the same computer to "SHARE" the same iTunes Library so you don't have to duplicate libraries on the hard disk?
So far I have been having to load 25GB of Music on my wife's account and the same 25GB itunes library on my account.
I have put the single iTunes files in the "PUBLIC" music folder and set that as the default on the ITUNES "Preferences" but still does not work for some reason.

Now when I go to my wife's account (everything identical , playlists, etc. in both accounts) it does not know where to locate the songs. I place it in the default and it works, but as soon as I go back to the other persons account, the default has automatically changed back, and none of the playlists (although still intact) have again lost the location of the actual music (located on in the Public Music folder) very frustrating.

You are on Windows 2000, you do not have a "Firefox" button, and should consider yourself to be fortunate in that you still have menus and don't have to do anything to get the menus back instead of the "Firefox" button. (The same applies to Windows XP users).
Use the "File" menu to get to Import. You are not on Windows 7 or Vista, and don't have to put up with the nonsense added for Aero.
If you want the "Firefox" button you can get it with View -> toolbars -> (uncheck) Menu Bar. The menu bar and the "Firefox" button were supposed to be mutually exclusive (which is impossible in some cases without being incompatible).
Once you are using the "Firefox" button ...
Use the "Alt" key to view the menu bar (temporarily) containing File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, and Help. On Windows 7 and Vista, the menu bar was hidden by default in Firefox 4 and above. These menu items are more or less available under the "Firefox" button which has the most used of the built-in Firefox menu items available in a different format.
To get back to having menus again. "Firefox" button -> Options (second column) -> (check) Menu Bar
