Computer just turned itself off and now cannot turn on

Hi. I have a HP Touch smart 310 PC. The last week it has been sounding like it was about to take off, I thought at first that it might of been struggling with to much internal memory. So I went in and deleted a lot of files and photos, this didn't seem to do anything as I was on it it just turned itself off. I turned it off at the power overnight and tried to restart it in the morning but I had no luck. The power button on the side usually light up but unfortunately does not. I have pulled out all cords turned off power. What I have noticed is the power adapter around the back is coming up green. Has anyone on had the same thing happen and if so what did you do. Many thanks

Crowy, welcome to the forum.

  • IPad 2 wifi turns itself off and I cannot turn it back on

Despite my sig it's actually iOS 4.3.3.
Twice now my wifi will turn off and cannot be turned back in. When you move the little slidy thing it goes to on, says on but on the left still says off. Also the box showing available network will not appear nor the option to 'ask to join networks' option. Needless to say the wifi isn't actually working. The only way to get it working again is to power off and back on.
The first time it happened was moments after I left the apple store. I connected to their wifi, left, went into s Starbucks and tried to connect but it was off. The latest time was after staying away from home and upon my return it wouldn't connect to my home network.
I already use a static address so it's not that and our iPad 1 works fine.
    Thanks

Be sure the Settings - Airplane Mode is set to OFF.
Rebooting the CPU may solve the problem.  However just turning the power off does not reset anything.  To reboot, hold both the Sleep and Home buttons several seconds until the Apple logo appears.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow.  After the iPad restarts, see if your WiFi has improved.
If rebooting does not help, or you have to repeat the process frequently, there could be a hardware problem with your iPad.  The Apple Store Genius should be able to run more thorough diagnostics.
Can you use a static address at Starbucks?

  • I HAVE AN IPHONE 4 I TURNED IT OFF AND NOW I TURNED IT BACK ON AND IT WILL NOT WORK ONLY SHOW THE APPLE ICO

Can anyone help me how to make my iphone 4 work I turned it off and now I turned it back on and it does not work it only shows the APPLE icon on the screen it has being like that for past 9 hours.... HELP PLEASE

Connect iPhone to Wall Charger and Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone begins to restart itself. Usually takes less than 15 seconds of holding both buttons.
If you decide your iPhone is not working properly, and you decide to Restore your iPhone Firmware then do this. Open iTunes on computer, then connect iPhone to computer, then hold both Home and Power buttons until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. This usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Restore the iPhone Firmware.

My iPhone 5c has turned itself off and won't turn back on, any ideas anyone?

    Hey Jswalker1969,
Thanks for the question. If your iPhone is not powering on, see the following troubleshooting steps:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
    1. Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
    2. Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion.
    Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
    3. Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
    4. After at least 30 minutes, if:
                   - The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
                   - The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
                   - Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
    5. If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
                   - If the display turns on, go to step 4.
                   - If the display remains black, go to next step.
    6. Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
    7. If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?
    Contact Apple Support.

    Hello untech,
I see that it has been awhile since you have posted with us on the HP Forums.  Please let me take a moment to say "Welcome Back".
I see that you are having an issue with the printer shutting it self off and not powering back on.
By chance do you have the printer power cable connected to a power bar/strip?  If so, please try connecting the printers power cable directly to a wall outlet.  Here is a document that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
The printer in the document is a LaserJet printer but this document is meant for HP products in general and only uses the LaserJet as an example.
I am also going to include a document for when The HP Printer Won't Turn On or Respond When the Power Button is Pressed.
If by chance the issue is not resolved after doing the steps outlined,  I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here: click here.
Please feel free to write me back if you have any other questions.
I hope you have a great Monday.

My iPhone4s turned itself off and will not turn back on unless it is charged at all times. I need help and answers please.

And we would need more info. "will not turn back on unless it is charged at all times." is pretty obvious: the phone will obviously not turn on unless it is charged.
    Describe your problem clearly.

  • Iphone 5c turns itself off and won't turn on until plugged in

I just received my replacement iPhone 5c and it worked fine the first night, the next day, the phone turned itself off, and would not let me turn it back on. I tried the reset option by holding down the lock and the home buttons, but that did not work. my phone only turns on when it is plugged in. It then shows me that battery is lows, and then powers on ad says 100% charged.
My lower screen blinks while it is plugged in as well.....
    Any help?

You might have a bad battery. But first try recalibrating the battery gauge. Run the battery all the way down until the phone shuts off and doesn't restart. Then charge for 4 hours with the wall charger. Repeat the process. If the problem remains you need a new battery.

  • My i phone has turned itself off and i cant turn it back on again even thought it is fully charged

  • TS1363 my ipod turned itself off and now it wont come back on

My ipod was fully charged & it turned itself off & now it wont came back on. What should I do? I sometimes have the same problem with my iphone3GS.

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. (And there is no need to SHOUT.)
