Computer Limit on the Cloud

I have Creative Cloud at work and at home. I realize that my access is limited to 2 computers and that I can cancel access on one to add another. My home computer, however, may be inoperable, leaving me without the ability to cancel the cloud suite installed on it. Will I be able to activate the cloud on the computer that replaces my defective one?

Yes, when you install & try to activate it on the third conputer, it will give you an option to deactive the previous machine.
Since you are unable to deactivate from the home computer, deactivate from the third computer & activate it on the third computer.
Once it is completed, please reactivate it on the second computer by logging out & logging back of the CC desktop app, then "license the software" by launching any product & signing in.

    I would like to install an app from the cloud on a secondary computer, but will only be using the computer for a few months. When I am done can I uninstall and still have the product available to install on another back up computer? or is it only one per subscription?

    You still have 2 activations and may use the software on 2 computers - just not at the same time. You simply deactivate the cloud subscription on teh machine you no longer need.

  • Using match and suddenly my entire library including those already downloaded or added from the computer are in the cloud and only available on-line.

    I have 83 plus Gb of songs on my hard drive, suddenly today every track is in the cloud and nothing will play is the wifif is off. If I redownload all of these is is it going to take another 83 Gb of my hard drive to bring down from the cloud what is already there? Wht can't I play the songs that I know were available off line previously and what is the use of the songs in the itunes folder if I cannot access them. This is quite frustrating, please help.

    Not having backups is going to make this a bit more difficult.
    First, disable iTunes Match while holding down the Shift key and quit iTunes. Re-Launch iTunes while holding down the Shift key and click the button to choose existing library. Navigate to the existing iTunes Library.itl file on your HDD, select it and click OK. This should add all the music back to your iTunes library and put it back the way it was.

    As far as I know, the Sync Process is FROM Computer to iPhone / iPod... and NOT the Reverse...

    You can only use that app on an iPad (and potentially an iPhone or iPod Touch if it's not an iPad-specific app) - you can't use it on a Mac as they are different operating systems.

  • Songs I purchased on my iPhone not showing up in the cloud for download to my computer.

    I purchased songs on my iPhone yesterday, and last night on my Notebook computer I was able to download the songs from the cloud with no problems.  But today, on my Desktop computer, the songs do not even show that they are available in the cloud.  All 3 devices (iPhone, Notebook, and desktop) are authorized to the same account in the cloud and have the latest updates for itunes.  Under my account information, the songs show in my purchase history, they just are not in the cloud.
    Other songs I purchase last night on the notebook computer showed in the cloud and I was able to download them to both the iPhone and the Desktop.  But the songs purchased on the iPhone were not available to the Desktop.
    Is there a limit to the number of devices a song can be downloaded to if purchased on the iPhone?  or is there a problem with these songs that Apple needs to fix for me? 

    Sounds like you're using iTunes Match. Is there a cloud icon next to the name of the song?  If yes you need not worry, those songs aren't actually on your device it just means you can download them to it.

  • My main pc died. How do I get my complete library on the replacement pc.  Apple says I have authorized the limit of five. I only recall doing so on the dead pc and an IPAD.  My IPAD suggests that I am on the cloud but I don't recall setting that up.

    My old PC with my Itunes library died.  I have attempted to authorize it's replacement but the store tells me I have reached my limit of five.  I don't recall doing this so my guess is that and old dead Ipod as well as old dead PC's could be deauthorized ONLY and I would be good.  As I read the Itunes store options it appears I can only deauthorize all five.  I am afraid I will loose all my library; I'm not shure I have an up to date backup with Itunes I am reluctant to take that step.
    I can take the hard drive out of the dead computer and fix so that I can restore from an up to date library.  I have never done this before and am scared I might erase my best option.  I also have a major portion of my library on a NANO which replaced the dead IPOD which maybe can be used to restore the replacement PC.
    I don't recall setting up Icloud and vaguely recall backing up to itunes but can't confirm that my library is completely backed up.  Itunes tells me that my Ipad and a PC are authorized for Icloud but I don't recall setting that up.  I can assume that the PC that is Icloud authorized is the one that died.  If I have to deauthorize all, will I errase my library?  If not will I have to restore my nano and Ipad and the replacement PC? How can I confirm that my library is backed up/in the cloud?
    My Ipad shows cloud icons along whith what appears to be my library.
    Given this info, what is my best option to restore my complete former Itunes library to my PC.

    The Touch Copy third party software for PC's is the way to go it seems and although the demo is free, if you have over 100 songs then it costs £15 to buy the software which seems not a lot to pay for peace of mind. and restoring your iTunes library back to how it was.

  • I downloaded Itunes Match and now I can't download the music from the cloud on  my computer

    When I click on the clouds by the songs no longer on my computer it says something about the apple id and not being able to download for 90 days. I need someone to help me fix this.

    Apple have imposed a limit of 90 days between switching AppleIds in Match - this is to stop people attaching their mates commuters and copying a library that doesn't belong to them. The downside if like many people you have used more than one Id to purchase music you are stuffed. Apple currently do not provide a way to merge AppleIds owned by you.
    If you have a small number of tunes on another id you can burn it to a CD and re-import but it is not ideal.

During the interim the nature of my work has neccesitated that I have to work at two sepearte offices (one at home and one at my formal offices). Is it possible to "switch" the license to the different computers when I am at the different locations?
    Can I log off at the office and login at my home office and vice versa? Use of the license will therefore be either at the office or at my home office but never both at the same time?

    On the computer where you want to deactivate the Cloud, launch any Cloud app e.g. Photoshop CC 2014 and click Help > Sign Out.
    Activation & Deactivation Help
    That will deactivate all Cloud apps on that computer. (They can be reactivated at any time by signing in again.)
    On the new computer, sign in to your Cloud account with your Adobe ID, download the Cloud app then download the software.

  • I have some movies I used redempetion codes for in iTunes on my computer hard drive, but they are not showing up on my Purchased list nor in the Cloud. I am concerned if something should happen to my computer that the movies will be lost.

    Like the topic says, in the past year, I have used redemption codes on blu-rays I have purchased in iTunes and downloaded copies of the movies to my desktop. The problem is I am not seeing them in the Cloud if I want to watch them on my iPad or Apple TV. It also worries me that should my computer crash, the movies are lost since the codes are already redeemed. Advice?

    I can only answer your first issue. In your ipad go to settings, iTunes & App Store, click on your Apple ID and sign out. Wait a few minutes and then log back in. The hidden apps shouldn't show any more on your ipad.

    Tigon's already got you covered here. But I'll chime in with some English localisation advice.
    There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
    The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
    If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
    Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
    Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them:

    I've just downloaded itunes onto a new computer, and I'm currently downloading previously owned music from the cloud. However, it keeps sticking on various songs - it will get part of the way through and just stop, this seems to happen to about 1 in 10 songs. How do I get round this?
    Also, once I've finished dowloading from the cloud, how do I get my library to display only the songs I've downloaded, and not all the other ones that I don't want anymore?

    On the new laptop, launch iTunes. From the menu bar click Store / Authorize This Computer.
