Hi random34,
Did you uninstall previous graphics drivers prior to booting your PC with the GTX card?
This card requires one 8 pin and one 6 pin connector. Check your power connections.
Try booting in safe mode. Tap F8 repeatedly at boot. Uninstall incorrect drivers if applicable. Install Nvidia graphics drivers.
Some newer graphics cards require UEFI BIOS.

  • Problems After Installing MSI GTX 760 n760-2gd5/oc

I had previously bought the MSI GTX 750TI, but decided after a week to return it to get the more powerful MSI GTX 760 card. The 750 had worked without issue with my system when I returned it.
I installed the 760, and have had nothing but issues. Afterabout 2 minutes, everything locks up and I basically have to restart. The only way I can get anything done is in safe mode. I looked everywhere, installed multiple drive cleaning programs, installed the drivers, re-installed the drivers, to no avail. I downloaded the latest beta drivers from NVIDIA as well, didnt work.
My PSU supposedly has more than enough power (48A@12V) and I have connected the 2 6-pin connections from it to the card, I didnt need to use the adapters that came with the card.
Everywhere I have looked, my system meets any sort of standards to use this card.
    Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks
    My build:
     CPU: Intel Core i5-4440 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: MSI B85M-G43 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
     Memory: Crucial Ballistix 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory

You;re saying that you've used different "driver cleaners" in order to make proper installation. Can you, for me please, use DriverFusion (free is enough) in SAFE MODE and remove the drivers?
Then without the card inserted and powered, run the PC and see how it goes. Then reinstall it (make sure it's properly seated and power supply cables are also nicely fit in) and run it.
    * Your motherboard supports up to 1600mhz RAM speed. Please downgrade yours in BIOS down to 1600 or 1333 (you WON"T notice any speed difference) but this might have been also an issue with newer/higher range graphics card. Also, is the RAM stick seated in the socket recommended by the manual? I believe it should be 2nd closest to the CPU socket.

  • HT1492 windows 7 boot camp black screen after install

    Hi,
I have installed bootcamp on a 2010 white macbook with os 10.7
Windows 7 was install all the updates for apple and windows where completed. Everything was looking good and running great. This is my work computer and it has run boot camp previously on another macbook with the same specs.
When I restarted the computer to comfirm that all was good with both partitions the mac is running great, but the windows just locks on the black screen, no cursor, no windows starting.
I tried to start with the install disk in but after the black and white instruction screen the computer went back to the black screen.
I deleted the windows partition and tried to re-install but just got the black screen straight away and it will not even load.
When i did this I noticed that Parallels had been install on the computer I tried to start it and the windows 7 is asking for the install disk to be inserted and restarted to fix problems. I insert the disk and tried to restart but nothing happened again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. As i need to do school reports over the next week!
    Thanks LC

Did you create a snapshot of Windows in Parallels to fall back onto if it won't work?

    Hello people.
I buyed a new VGA, a Gigabyte GT740 2GB DDR5, before that i had an Asus GT630 2GB DDR3 and had no problems with it.
After mounting the new VGA i noticed the computer remains stuck at the initial splash screen with the HP logo.
Can't even get in to the bios, but if i remove the card and use it's igpu it's all ok.
I tried to update the bios to the latest version on the HP site (v.7.15) and nothing.
Tried to install with Windows 8.1, and with windows 7, nothing.
I tried all things i found on the net of people with the same issue, nothing again.
If i am fast enough and i press some keys it gets black screen and remains stuck anyway, do some beeps and then go in some kind of standby and if i keep pressed any key it does some cracklin noise.
Actually i can't afford a new motherboard so i wanted to find out with your help if i can find a solution to the problem, cause it's really frustrating and i spent many time trying to figure it out.

  • Mac Pro stuck on gray screen after installing software for a new keyboard

I am having a huge issue with my very important work computer! For a few weeks, my Mac has been freezing on the gray screen during start up. Since I had two external hard drives plugged in, I would unplug one of them and the Mac would always restart correctly once one was unplugged. Well today I was installing software for a new keyboard and the mac prompted me to restart. Once I restarted, the gray screen came up again and no matter what I did it would not start up correctly again. I tried unplugging everything except the keyboard and monitor and nothing works. I tried ejecting the crash-causing CD with the keyboard using all of the commands I found on this forum board and nothing worked. I saw forums about manually ejecting the CD by pushing a pin-hole but I cannot find that pinhole anywhere! Then again, the CD might not even be the problem but since the computer gave me the gray screen of death right after using the CD I am thinking that it is the problem. I use this computer for editing a TV show and creating websites so there is a ton of files on it and I need to get it up and running again ASAP. Any suggestions would be appreciated and I am sure by now you can tell that I am not a Mac expert so please dumb it down for me. Thank you!!

I would start by breaking your thoughts and sentences out from one long paragraph.
    Start at the basics.
    Always have backups.
One at least that is a spare boot system you can use.
Clone your system. SuperDuper does a great job for only $29
Boot from another hard drive or last OS X DVD
Repair your drive with Apple Disk Utility along with 3rd party disk maintenance and repair
Hold Option key until the boot manager, then hold mouse to open optical drive.
You can hold mouse on startup and it will eject also.
Hold and continue to hold Shift key during startup to repair the boot drive in minimal fashion.
What device and driver? hint: never use CD, just go online as the CD is usually out of date anyway.
Fill in Mac OS X version and more about hardware would help in posts and in your profile signature.

  • Met with a white screen after installing Snow Leopard on Macbook (mid 2007)

After installing Snow Leopard on my Mid 2007 mac book pro I was prompted to restart. I restarted and the computer turned on but only got as far as a white screen that stays white with no further activity for an indefinite amount of time. I've restarted the computer a few times with the same results. How do I fix this and get past the white screen?!

Try booting into "verbose mode".  That will cause a series of messages to appear on the screen during the boot process.  When that stalls (presuming it does so), write down the last few messages and post them as a reply.
You might also try running the diagnostics that came with that Mac.  Depending on the model, you can boot with the "system restore disc" in the machine with the "D" key held down to run those.  Run the diagnostics several times.

  • Blue screen after installing the X-Fi driv

    Hello!
The problem is - after installing the X-Fi Fataliti drivers on to brand clean Win XP Pro SP2, I get Blue screen. After uninstalling those drivers in safe mode I downloaded last version from here
    http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/download2.asp?MainCategory=209&Product=4000&dlcent ric=9756&Product_Name=Sound+Blaster+X%2DFi+Fatalty &filetype=&OSName=Windows+XP
After installing that driver - the same problem. Blue screen with reference on to ha20x2k.sys
The system is the following: Asus MB p5gplx, Intel pentium 4 3.2 HT, D-link Air-Extreme WiFi PCI card, Sparkle 6600GT PCI Express video chip.
How to make the system li've with your driversMessage Edited by timur555 on 04-04-2007:27 PM

    I'm completely exhausted.
I cant make this "outstanding, the most powerfull" soundcard work.
The last thing was - i deleted all the creative soft and installed only the driver. After system comes, and windows desktop is visible, the computer freezes and only hard reset can wake it up.
    What the problem is??
I've sent this issue with my system configuration to creative, filled the form on the site.
Just NO RESPONCE. Should I just throw my soundblaster away?

  • Computer switches to a blank screen after 1 minute

I have an HP ENVY 700-060ea  series computer , and for the past 2 weeks or so the computer has been switching back to the start-up screen after only 1 minute where it stays for a while , it then switches itself off and goes to sleep . The computer is running windows 8.1pro with media centre and is only 1 year old . I e-mailed the company with the problem and I gave them permission to take remote control of the computer where I watched them do their thing . When they were finished and I checked and the problem was still there , plus they had deleted some programs I had installed myself . One of the programs can't be installed anymore because it is  full of spyware and malware . It took me 3 days to get INTERNET EXPLORER back and now when i attempt to use the GOOGLE page the settings are totally different and are taking a long time to load as A BLANK PAGE  NOTICE KEEPS BEING  displayed . The most annoying thing is the company has not responded to my second e-mail and I am left with a computer that is only 1 year old and is only working for 1 minute at a time . I have tried everything I can think of to sort this problem out but but to no avail . I hope someone in the community or in the company sees this plea for help and does something to help me . Thanks in advance

  • Please HELP!! MacBook stuck on "Select your Keyboard" screen after installing Snow Leopard on a brand new hard drive!

Hello, I just recently replaced my internal hard drive in my MacBook [from a 250gb to a blank/empty 750gb]. I managed to get OS X Snow Leopard installed with the DVD. Setup seems to run fine at first, I get the screen in space with the welcome message different languages while music plays. Then I'm asked to select my country, then here is my problem- the next screen asks me to "Select Your Keyboard", I select & click "Continue" button, then my Mac is just showing the spinning beachball & it stayed that way all night =( I don't know how to fix this. Anyone experience this or have any solutions for me? I'd appreciate any help! Thank you! [I've been googling since yesterday with no luck on finding an answer].

It's diagnostic software. It's supposed to help you find problems. I don't think anyone is making any software yet that fixes hardware problems.
    That said, the two comments:
    Le husky wrote:
Macbook pro freezes for no reason even after installing 10.8 on a brand new hard drive....
.....also my trackpad is behaving very erraticaly sometimes, it's like it is possessed by a ghost....
would lead me to think it's the logic board. On older MacBook Pro's both the USB I/O ports and the keyboard/trackpad are fed out of an integrated USB controller integrated into the South Bridge I/O controller. On newer models, the USB ports come out of an integrated North/South bridge controller and the keyboard/trackpad are handled by an SMC controller, which itself interfaces with the I/O controller. All of these items are on the logic board, and they're all unrepairable.
...unless of course the "internal drive [that] is installed in a cheap external case" is itself causing the problems. Another thing to try might be a different USB port, if you haven't done so already.
I didn't know the price for Scannerz went up. I could have sworn I only paid 30-some bucks for it. Maybe it was on sale at the time. I don't remember.
    In any case, good luck.

  • Computer Slowed to snail's pace after installing KB3012199, extreme difficulty running any program

I've put off updating windows for a long time, yesterday I decided I might as well update as it's been almost a year. After installing the updates I ran into a plethora of problems: my mouse sensitivity had been changed, some desktop icons added, various
programs were installed that slowed start up. My Disk resources were constantly being pushed to around 100% at all times. I did my best to figure out what had been causing the problem, but couldn't pinpoint it. I decided my best option was to delete all of
the updates, and for the most part that worked. My mouse speed went back to normal, there were no more fishy background programs running, and I could actually launch applications without them moving extremely slow. This all lasted for about ten minutes, but
then my computer began to slow again and the same issues emerged. I went to check my update history again and there were two updates that I had installed yesterday that it would not allow me to delete. I googled them both and found that one, KB3012199,
had caused several people across multiple forums (including one here on microsoft that went unresolved) have had the same problem. I'm asking if anybody knows of any way to delete this update, or of a fix that has been released for it. This issue is a huge
let down, never did I think that updating my PC would break it to this extent. Any help is appreciated.

Unfortunately after you install this servicing stack update, you cannot uninstall it to revert to an earlier version of servicing stack update.
Try to create new user account as an administrator (it may not help).

After the installation i rebooted my device and after the windows loading i got a black screen ! i went to safe mode and unistall the video card and also it's driver from device manager and when i came back the black screen was gone but i have only my onboard Integ graphic which is very slow.
also i went to AMD web site and get AMD Catalyst from their web site but nothing happened after the installation and i think they don't provide an appropriate driver for my lap top.
i also tries to go to device manager and with right click on my display adapter and update driver point to the display driver location on my syste but this time it does not take time the black screen after restart, and in the middle of installation i got a black screen.
Also i upgraded my BIOS Firmware from 16 to 24, but nothing changed.
i just wanna know is it a software problem or hardware problem ? how can i find out that ?
also i don't want this switchy manner and i don't care about the power efficency. i just want to my device work on maximum performance.
What you suggest i do ?

Use the recovery manager to reinstall the original AMD graphics driver and Catalyst Control center.
