COmputer makes weird pixelated noises and lags graphics

i just got an HP 15. It lookied good, had a light weight and had the best in gaming. But after a few days, when a game or movie goes on, this weird sound buzz and graphical lag comes on and relly anooys me. Plus, it gives me a feeling that the hardware is not assembled but i can't say because, till now, I have used every single HP computer since 8 years.
Please someone help me with this problem.
Intel fixer

Same problem, man. I would try everything, but it will perist. Try opening up the system and check for cracks in the motherboard or open spaces between the parts. It is hard to  solve such problem for me.

  • Macbook makes weird clicking noises

i can't remember when this started, but randomly, my macbook will start to make weird clicking noises. it's not just when it's idle either, i'll be using it and it'll still make weird low "dddddddd" noises ><;; i don't think it's the fan b/c it's not the high pitched whirring...does anybody else have this problem???

This clicking sound is specifically from the hard drive in MacBooks. The model of the hard drive in my MacBook is the FUJITSU MHV2080BHPL. I've had this click for well over a year and it only shows up when my hard drive is having to do a lot of thrashing for virtual memory purposes. I consider it entirely benign and merely a consequence of the hard drive head moving back and forth across the drive. It is very rare. Fujitsu drives historically are very reliable (as opposed to the Hitachi/Travelstar IBM drives which are historically a POS).
Nevertheless! What is the first rule of computing? Quote after me: *'MAKE A BACKUP'*. There is no excuse for not making regular backups of your hard drive. If you don't, you get what you deserve. It's that simple. *All hard drives fail.* It's just a matter of when. These days hard drives are being made cheaply, with lower quality standards than in the past, therefore they fail much more readily. Even Seagate, which I considered the hold out quality hard drive maker on the market, have recently been putting out faulty drives. NEVER depend on your hard drive.

  • Computer makes a whine noise

Our computer makes a whine noise that sounds like a motor revving up. At times it can be very loud. Is this normal?
We have a Power PC iMac G5 Tiger purchased in 2005. See details at: http://eshop.macsales.com/Descriptions/specs/imacg5early2005.html
Recently, with much help from others at "Apple Discussions" we replaced the 512MB PC3200 (400MHz) DDR SDRAM memory with 2GB PC3200 (2x1GB Matched Pair) DDR 400MHz. Purchased from eshop.macsales.com. See details at:
    http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other World Computing/3200DDR2GBP/
Our Version is 10.4.11 and we've installed all of the most recent software updates except for the Safari, version 4.0.2. *Everything works well!*
Our concern is about the noise that we hear which sounds like a motor revving up which can get quite loud at times. It appears to be related to some of the internet sites that we are viewing. Our habits are to shut the computer down over night and boot up the next day. We wonder if the whine noise is an indication that the hard drive is getting ready to crash or something else.
    Thanks!!!

Initially when I put in an audio CD there was a whirring sound and some clicking - then just music. Next, I turned the sound all the way down and could not discern any appreciable difference in the sound coming from the computer while the CD was in use. I put the CD in and ejected it about 3 times just to compare the sounds. There are some distinct sounds but not the whirring sound that we notice when just using the computer to search the web and looking at different web sites.
Additionally, I did download & install the AppDelete 2.2.2 & the Temperature Monitor 4.7 version. Thank you!
    The temperatures read:
    CPU Temperature 64.9 degrees C
    Hard Drive 57.0 degrees C
    SMART Disk ST3160023AS (SMT1A 58.0 degrees C

  • My laptop makes weird noises and the graphics lag

    Hello,
I also have the same problem as IntelFixer, it is totally sure that the sound lasts and the graphics move the way the sound goes. it ever perists on my 6 yr. old pavllion dv5, but my new 15 lags the most than my old one . I tried every audio and directx driver, but no problem solved. Is there any way I can fix this problem, or is this a misassembly in the laptop?

    Hi,
Please provide the product number of your model (How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number? | HP® Support)
    Or,
Just open HP Support Assitant and check for any pending updates. Complete all updates(including BIOS Update)  and check.  If nothing helps or if you have already tried the above steps then as a final step perform a complete HP Recovery and complete updates again.
If problem continues and you still have warranty then would recommend to call HP Tech Support for hardware issue.
    Note:
If you have HP Support Assistant installed on the computer(The Blue Question Mark) then open it ==> Complete all pending Updates & Tuneups==> Restart and Check. It may solve your problem
Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.

  • Macbook freezes and makes weird repetitive noise

    Hi,
My macbook has been making weird repetitive noises when I'm on wireless internet. I'm not exactly sure it's the wireless internet that's the problem. Whenever I try to download something it happens, and I get the pinwheel. Then I can't do anything so I just restart.

Macs arn't designed to run with a full drive. They need plenty of space on the drive in order for virtual memory to work. At least 20Gb. If I were you I would make some space before you damage your Mac. If you don't know what the files are that are filling it, use a prog called What Size.

  • My Core 2 Duo iMac Makes a wierd Noise and odd Ram Availability.

I Bought this iMac from mac connection.
    A 17inch 2GHz Core 2 Duo.
The first one I returned because of dead pixels.
The Second one, Which Iuse has been great. But for the Past Month, I noticed a weird clicking noise from the speakers. I tried wiping out the HD and reinstalling the OS, I checked the Ram, I performed maintenence progrmas I have, different set of external speakes, headphones, I only can reduce the sound of it if I max out the Volume on the computer.
I would make a light click noise If I opened front row, opened a program, Booting up before coming to the desktop. I would make one click each time anyone of those things opened. ((((Allmost like a click sound of Static)))))))
I love the computer overall but this is an annoyance and I fear something could be wrong with the sound card. I don't know if an update to the drivers or future firmwire update would do anything.
    Anyone have an idea??
I do't beleive I can return it to Mac Connection since I'm onto my second iMac with them, any issues, I have to work with apple now.
It also does the noice whn I adjust the Volume, Almost like static. I fear of a faulty sound card for some reason.
Before, It used to show out of the 1GB of Ram, that there were 820 plus to 750.
Right now, I only have Mspace running, Thispage, and iTunes And Theres only 186 Mbs of ram left free. Is the Ram Zapped or what.
On the iStat pro Widget. It shows 177 MB Free Active and 844MB used.
    I worried about this

I do now about the the Use of Virtual Ram via Hard Drive. I did learn that The Ram still stays pending to open progams faster.
But see this. When I first Bout this computer, I would have abbout 750 to over 800+ MB free. Last 4 weeks, I still have the same programs installed and Now I start up with 620MB. Sometimes having iTunes open, This web page, my amail page, iPhoto, I Ram availability goies as low is 62 MB which is very low, considering having 1GB of Ram.
I see you have a similar iMac as I do, If you have a ram monitor widget. How much ram does your system start out with.
First Few Weeks it would have about 800MB, Now, ever sinnce I discovered that clicking noise out of the speakers when I nagigate the apps, thats wh I discovered the system starting with 620MB. I don't have different programs from before.
I don't feel good about this that with so few programs, even having light weight programs running, so much ram is used.
Just like Right now. I only have this page running, I only have 288 MB free. I understand what you said but I don't beleive so much ram should be out of place like that with this amount of ram.
Heck Even my 12 1.2GHZ iBook G4 with 768MB has more free ram with the same running apps.
Does anyone have any idea of my clicking problem?

  • My 2012 MacBook Pro fell and it now makes a clicking noise and shows a grey screen on startup. I'm afraid the hard drive is damaged. Is their anyway to still back up my hard drive even if it doesn't turn on all the way?

So my late 2012 MacBook Pro was sitting on my desk when the desk collapsed. The computer fell with it and I was quite scared at the moment, but thankfully I opened it up and it worked perfectly fine again.
I was later watching a YouTube video and pressed the back button. The screen then froze, and I could not force quit safari. Then this weird clicking noise started to happen. It was coming from the right of the trackpad. That's when I decided to force shutdown the computer with the power button.
I let it sit and then decided to turn it back on. The clicking noise then came back and there was just a blank screen on the boot up. Eventually a grey folder with a question mark started flashing on the screen. That was all it did so I decided to turn it off again.
I'm going to take it into the Apple store ASAP, but I'm curious if my hard drive is damaged and if I will need a new one, which would erase everything on my Mac. So I was wondering if there is anyway to back up the hard driver even if it doesn't boot up all the way, or turn on the computer all the way.
P.S. I have never backed up my hard drive so I wouldn't know what to do.

You may have damaged the HDD which is located in that spot. I would take it in for service.

  • Updated: Firewire audio recording on brand new iMac makes weird digital noise

I am running Ableton Live 8 Suite on a 2011 Entry level iMac. i am using an Maudio Firewire 410 with a FireWire 400 to 800 cable. recently when i record audio (say from a guitar) the audio will cut out and be replaced by a wierd low freq digital noise. i uploaded a clip of it. its not just static. it will come in and out as i play.
    http://cl.ly/3f3R2H2z3H3K3F3z1P3d
    Things i have tried:
    -different guitars
    -Maudio FireWire Solo (different interface)
    -uninstalled and reinstalled the driver
    -Different firewire cable
-turned off Bluetooth on computer and Bluetooth devices
    -turned off airport
when i restart the interface or computer it works for about 5-10mins then cuts out again...
but i still get normal audio through it (iTunes, internet, even Ableton)
it seems to be isolted to just audio input. i had multiple tracks playing in Live. my input was working fine but when it punched in to record it morphed to the weird digital noise.
i could record a single channel fine with nothing else playing but recording with multiple channels playing seems to "lock up" the audio though i am only using 25% CPU...
is this something with my iMac or Lion? i changed out interfaces, cables, and drivers....thats the only thing i can think of…
any thoughts from you smart people out there?

ok so i tried a differnet cable and the same thing happened...

  • Computer makes weird sound - like guitar strings

So I have an iBook G4 (which I love) and its been about 7 months now. The other day it started to make this noise (which it only does when the volume is on). I checked the sounds in system preferences and none of them sound like this, and it does it even when no programs are running. The computer makes this sound of someone plucking a guitar string. Two of them, like "pluck" "pluck" and it does it all the time, even if I'm listening to a song on iTunes. Anyone have any advice? I've tried shutting down my computer and it still does it. Thanks!

  • When itouch is moved, it makes a jingle noise and moves to a random song. Makes it impossible to use during exercize. Anything I can do?

While listening to music on itouch, if it is moved other than very gently, it makes a ringing - jingle noise and goes to a random song. This makes it impossible to use during any kind of exercize. I tried restoring my itouch, and am having the same problem. Is there anything else I can do? Thanks!

Go to Settings>Music and turn off 'Shake to Shuffle'.

  • Weird clicking noises and not responding

i got a new/refurbished ipod after my last nano got messed up today. I plugged it into my computer, uploaded all my music, and started listening. a few minutes later the black n white charge symbol came up and my ipod ceased to be recognised by my computer. i tried reconecting my ipod because i just kinda figured that would fix it. after a few tries my ipod started reseting itself over and over and wouldnt stop. once i disconnected it would stop but if i tried to reconecting it it would start again so i didnt know what to do because i didnt have access to the internet and dont have a wall adapter. i left it in any way and after a while the screen just started flickering, so i tried reseting it myself. when i put it on hold the screen flickered faster and i noticed a clicking noise. the noise is still happening right now though the screen is blank and it wont respond at all. the only way to stop the clicking is to disconnect it from the computer and i was reading some of the help topics and it said to leave it in so it can charge but it doesnt seem to be helping at all. whats wrong with it?

thx for tryin to help, but ive tried most of those (except restoring, which im trying next)but like i said my ipod isnt responding at all and trying to reset it doesnt work. i retried this morning and the screen started flashing evertyime it made the clicking noise, which i found out speeds up when you put it on hold.
