Hi,
I am going on iTunes and it is saying that I am not connected to the internet but I am. I was on iTunes last a few days ago. Please help...
iTunes is a program on your computer, it is not "the Internet". The fact that the program runs has no bearing on Internet connectivity.
Maybe if a little more information was supplied, like version of the Operating system on the computer and version of iTunes, then a little more assistance could be provided. -
I'm in iPhoto, trying to send pics to FB. When I try to log in and send I get the message that "Your computer is not connected to the internet. iPhoto needs an internet connection to login to FB.
I am on the internet, with no issues.October 2014 and the issue still pertains. iPhoto 9.5.1 on OS X 10.9.4. Happens both on a new Linksys wifi router, and an Apple Airport Extreme (ca. 2008).

Error message "not connected to internet" when trying to sign in to BB id with Mac laptop
I have a Mac laptop and was forced to remove the original BB Link OS when the Z10 launched. I replaced the OS with the current one but now it doesn't allow me to use my Mac's computer name eg. John Smith's Mac book. I can only use a single name. I suspect that is why I'm not getting the itune's library to load. Also, I can't sign into my BB id, I get a message that says I'm not connected to the internet. I've taken the firewall off as I heard that was a solution with Windows but it didn't work. Any ideas?
i have the same problem. I have window 7 pc. I had to use internet to download link so i don't understand why it is not allowing me to use link or do set up. I uninstalled my previous bb desktop driver in hopes that would help. It didn't. I appreciate any help on this forum

HI Apple Users, I am trying to find a netflix movie to stream, but the message I get is that we are not connected to the internet, although we are. Advice?
BTW it worked a couple of days ago. Thanks.I was able to update my iPhone 4S to 6.1.1, BUT :: I could not update to 6.1.1. from my iPhone. I received the same message as everyone else saying that my iPhone was not connected to the Internet, which is was. (I was able to access my mail etc. via Internet.)
Instead I connected my iPhone to my computer via ITunes via the cable. I then downloaded the software on my computer and updated the iPhone from the computer. While I was downloading the software on to my computer, which is only connected to the Internet via ethernet, the same message as above appeared on my iPhone about not being connected to the Internet. I pressed cancel. The software continured to download on to the computer and then on the iPhone. -

Hello, Wy507sa.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
This sounds like you may be experiencing a self-assigned IP address. Try power cycling your router and testing the results. If the issue persists, I would recommend going through all of the steps in the article below.

As of this afternoon, I am unable to go on the internet on my I- Pad - Why? I have an I-phone and desk top computer and have no
problem. I have tried to correct the problem but was unable to do so.Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.
