Computer not communicating with printer

This morning my HP Pavallion downloaded some new updates and installed. After that I consistently get messages of "No communications with printer". It will not communicate with either my printer or pdf writer printer.
I have rebooted computer 2-3 times, restarted printer 2-3 times and still have the issue.
In an earlier note I noticed a recommendation of going back to the original computer program before the updates. I would I do that?
Any recommendations for a fix?

These documents cover the steps to access the restore. If a restore doesn't work you can also try a recovery which will put the unit back to it's original factory condition.

Computer not communicating with printer(s) scanner

I recently hooked up an Officejet J6480 wireless printer. I also have a J5780 hooked up via USB. After hours, and I mean hours, of being on-line with Tech Support through Chat and uninstalling and reinstalling, several times, and trying numerous things, neither printer has communication with the computer for scanning. The J6480 will scan if you go through Paint so it is functioning. The J5780 I haven't tested. I have downloaded drivers and every other thing that was suggested and the computer is not communicating with the printer for scanning. I have a Dell computer Inspiron 530S and am running Windows Vista (32) May I also say, that I disable the Firewall & Virus programs when downloading, etc. so it doesn't interfer. I have tried everything but dynamite to get the scanner to respond. I've downloaded the Patch suggested in the drivers listings and everything. Im beside myself because the J5780 scanned fine until I installed the J6480. Now the window on the printer says there are no scan settings available in the window on the printer. Chat Techs, I think, are beside themselves too. I uninstalled the J5780, installed the J6480 and then went into 'Add a Printer'. Everything went fine except the scanner. I get a message from Solution Center saying there is no communication between the computer and the scanner. I think something is missing here. If anyone knows a solution I would be more than grateful. HELP!!!!

Did you do an L3 uninstall of all HP software and start from scratch? The L3 uninstaller should be on the install CD's for each printer. You may have to do a search of the CD to find it.
Tell me what router, ISP and encryption type you are using? Also, what kind of security software are you using?
Have you done a WIndows Update and updated your security system? Do that between the L3 uninstall and the re-install.
There is a lot going on here. I'll hang in there with you...

I had this.
On checking the iPhone the iPhone Number was not ticked and the whole option to change it was greyed out.
I removed the Apple ID and waited to see if th Number got ticked (Settings > Messages > Send and Receive).
It did not.
I put the iPhone in Airplane Mode
After a few minutes I "restarted" the iPhone by turning off Airplane Mode
This time the Number was ticked.
I Added the Apple ID and then restarted Messages on the Mac.
I soon got the pop message about the iPhone using it's Number and the Apple ID and Accepted.

PSE not communicating with printer.

I have PSE 11 on a Windows 7 PC printing to an Epson XP850. After months of successful printing the printer kept reporting a communication error and would not print from PSE but does so from other programmes. It looked as if PSE all of a sudden wanted to print to the old R800 printer which had been replaced. I uninstalled the R800, still no joy. I uninstalled and re-installed the XP 850 and the problem persists. The error message from PSE 11 is "the saved printer information is not compatible with this version of PSE or the saved printer is no longer available". I would uninstall PSE 11 and re-install, but I don't want to lose all the Organiser information. Can anyone offer any helpful suggestions? It would be a great help and very much appreciated.

CC programs not communicating with printer?

We recently updated and our CC programs will not communicate with the print driver. All other programs print fine. None of the paper types appear in the printer driver settings screens, and therefore error out at the Fiery, which is an IC-306 on a Bizhub Press C6000. This is ONLY happening in the CC prgrams - word, internet, etc. all work as they should?

Computer not communicating with devices

I have a 27 inch late 09 imac. Just recently i set up the firewall and encrypt the files for the first time. Then I realized my printer was not connecting wirelessly to my mac. It worked when i plugged it directly to the mac. So I think i accidently changed the settings and now i cant nothing connets thru wireless connecttion. My internet works but my printer or my apple remote app no longer wants to connect. When i tap on the romote app it says remote cant connect to Itunes library check your networks settings and try again. I use to be able to listen to music from my computer thru my phone. Please Help!!! I thnk i changed a seeting that is making it not connect. I tried turning off the firewall after i had realized but it still did not work.

Computer not communicating with keyboard

Both my computer and I are old, but I was hoping my computer would outlast me. Its a iMac PowerPC G3, 450 MHz, Memory 576MB, System 10.2.8 (I updated it a long time ago).
I can't get any keyboard to work with it. I've been using the Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard with a wireless mouse and that was working fine for a long time. I do remember dumping OS 9. I've taken it to a Mac repair shop and they couldn't figure it out. The mouse will click so I can open something, but I can't type any words. I also can't zap the PRAM because holding down those keys doesn't communicate anything to the computer. We tried it with a new Ergonomic Keyboard with no results. At the repair shop, they tried it with several of their keyboards with no response. I also can't add anything new to the computer, like a printer installation disc or a program, because it requires the administrator password, and that won't record. Has anyone heard of this before or have any ideas, or should I take it in for a CT scan next time I go? I would greatly appreciate any help.

hmm Im not really a a tech export or no anything about the HP all in one models but with most computers you can buy a replacement keyboard that if the computer has the right ports such as a usb port you can plug in a new keyboard.

My MacBook is not communicating with my desk top to enable printing from my MacBook. I need to find out how to make that happen. I have a static IP address on my desktop but don't know what to do on the Mac Book.

My MacBook is not connecting to the host computer for the printer. The host computer has a static IP address which is different from the IP address that the laptop is looking for. How do I change the laptop so that it looks for the host computer's correct IP? The laptop is connected to the router. I know this because I can get on the internet with the laptop.

The host computer is Dell and the operating system is Windows 7. The printer is an Epson, and it is wired to the host computer with a USB cable. It does have host printing turned on.
The three have been working harmoniously for a long time. The router had to be reset; and after that, the MacBook documents would no longer print.
We created a new static IP address on the Dell but the MacBook is not recognizing it. We have researched the internet trying to figure out how to make the MacBook locate and recognize the correct IP address from the Dell so they can communicate with each other. The laptop is not communicating with the host computer because is is looking for the wrong IP. The host IP is 192.168.1.245 and the laptop is looking for 192.168.15.237.
I hope everything is clear. The person who originally set it up is no longer available to help me. Thank you for any help you may give me.

My addressbook is not communicating with iTunes!!HELP!!

I can't sync my IOS devices with my last version of the address book! I updated my address book in my Macbook Pro OS X 10.6.8 and then it is not communicating with iTunes. I tried the 28 step troubleshooting to this issue, my iTunes cache is clean but still not syncronizing... Tried to use iCloud online to upload the vcf cards but in each group it losts a lot of contacts (and I don't know why, because they are far away from the iCloud limits...).

Airport Express not working with printer on Windows, works fine on Macbook

I have an airport express that is connected to my Brother laser printer. I installed the software and it works and prints fine on my macbook pro.
I tried to also set it up using my Dell running Windows XP SP2, but after using the instructions, it looked like it set up fine and the printer is recognized, but when I try and print, it just gives me an error message that that printer is "busy or unable to print".
Any ideas?

Is there another solution to this problem? I have two PCs running WinXP and can not print with either one of them through Airport Express. Printing works fine with MacBook. I have Bonjour on both PCs and have run the setup wizard. The printer seems to be connecting and then hangs up on "communicating with printer."

Hard Reset – While printer is powered ON, pull the power cord from the printer then from the wall. After 30 seconds reconnect power to wall and printer. However, when i change documents on my mac (documents that are supposed to be in the iCloud), the changes do not sync with my other devices nor with iCloud. Even when i create new documents on my mac and save them to iCloud, all seems okay and i can access them from my mac, however they do not show up in the iCloud and i can't access them with my other devices.
Most recent version of mountain lion updated over a month ago. New iPad in use for over a month.

Be sure to try restarting, if you have not done so since this problem occurred. You should also power off the printer while you do the restart...
If that does not help, you can try resetting the printing system. Open System Preferences Print & Scan (or Print & Fax) pane. In the sidebar with list of printers, right (control) click anywhere. Select Reset printing system. You will have to add back your printers after you do this.

Help DSCC agent not communicating with AppServer or Tomcat?!

Installing Directory Server Enterprise Edition 6.3 From Zip Distribution on system running Solaris10 11/08.
Cannot get DSCC to work with either AppServer or Tomcat.
Both AppServer & Tomcat deploy DSEE WAR file and I can look at things that I have manually registered via command line. Cacao agent is running it is just not communicating with AppServer or Tomcat so it cannot commit any actions such as starting and stopping directory instances or creating new directories instances within the web app.
Is this a bug that occurs only when doing a new install using the Zip Distribution?
The Error message I get regardless if Appserver or Tomcat is:
"Could not contact the DSCC agent on <server>. Use the command cacaoadm to check that the DSCC agent is installed and running on port 11169."
I changed to port 11169 because it had a conflict on default port 11162.

I started over and installed Glassfish and everything just worked. After the fact I think the real problem was related to the server.policy file. I think this was the problem because using the default appserver 8.2 that comes with Solaris has a different path and I got this same error when tried using tomcat also. When installing glassfish it uses this default path as in the server.policy example as follows so it just worked.
Add the following lines in the {install-dir}/domains/domain1/config/server.policy file
// Permissions for Directory Service Control Center
grant codeBase "file:${com.sun.aas.instanceRoot}/applications/j2ee-modules/DSCC/-"
permission java.security.AllPermission;
Hope this helps some as I was really stuck and confused at the time and just started playing with the stuff. Growing pains. Thanks to those that replied.
