No changes.
Hi,
Could be something to do with your GPU/graphics card. Please give us more info about your machine (series, model ...). I would try to update the video card driver first.
Regards,
BH

Computer shuts off when watching YouTube on Safari
My computer has simply shut itself off several times now, and each time it happened, it was when I was watching YouTube videos with Safari version 5.06.
A few times beforehand, Safari has crashed while on YouTube, and I got an error message saying something may be wrong with a Flash 10.4-10.5 plugin.
Is there anything I can do to fix this?Hi, let's see if we can garner more clues. Video can really heat things up.

If you have any temps in the 70°C/160°F range, that's likely it.

PC Powers off when downloading through iTunes
This is totally weird, and 100% replicatable.
I initially discovered this when I got support to help me recover some lost music. It showed up in my downloads section. It started to download, then instantly my PC is powered off.
No blue screen, no error of any kind. One second, happy iTunes progress bars, the next second, powered off. This is a Laptop in a dock using AC power, so it's bypassing battery power too. It just clicks and is powered off.
I reinstalled iTunes and was able to download everything. I assumed the issue was resolved until I bought something new and it happened again during the initial download of that new album. Now it's happening everytime I try to download, new or recovered purchases. I've yet to be able to download the last album I paid for.
Help?I initially discovered this when I got support to help me recover some lost music. It showed up in my downloads section. It started to download, then instantly my PC is powered off.
Since you're getting that when doing Store stuff, if you've got a Radeon-based display adaptor or video card, I'd try updating your video drivers as per:

Verification error when run the game after download the jad/jar by OTA on BB 8300
On BB 8800, the jad/jar can be downloaded to the device, when run the game, there is a error msg "Error starting xxxx Module xxxx has verification error xxxx at offset xxxx", the version is OK on BB 8310, but failed on BB 8800 and 8300. I make the version by using proguard 3.8 and WTK22 preverify. I try RAPC preverify and failed again, use proguard 3.3.2 failed too.It seem that it is a compatible problem.
I check the article "Support - MIDlet has verification error at offset", and have no harvest.
BTW, the alx/jad/cod format works fine on BB 8800 and 8300.
How to fix the bug?
Thanks for your help.Hello,
I gather for your lack of details that you are wanting to get an application that you have written working on the device?
Otherwsie can you specify the name of the application and the details of the error. Someone may have expericne with it.
Lacking this however, the software needs to be fixed.

Why does computer turn off when battery 40%?
Why does computer turn off when battery around 40%? I have tried replacing the battery.
Replacing as in "removed, re-installed", or "bought a new one"?
This is my display from "Apple menu > About This Mac > More Info > Power"
"Normal" means no issues.
I will stop now in case you have actually put in a *new* battery ... -

Videos won't play. Not YouTube or any other videos (just started today). I also have no sound, keypad clicks, shutoff click, etc. Are these common failures for a three year old Gen 2 iPad?
For the issue with the videos that will no longer work, try closing all apps and then reboot the iPad.
Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button twice.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
For the issue with sounds, you have system sounds muted.
Check the side switch above the volume rocker on the side of the iPad. Flip it the other way and see if you get sound from the apps, keyboard clicks, etc.
If not, double tap the home button to bring up the task bar at the bottom. In the task bar swipe all the way to the right. Look on the far left side and see if there is a speaker icon. If there is, tap it and see if the sounds on apps come back. Then tap the home button.
You can change how the side switch works to either lock screen rotation or to mute system sounds. You can go to Settings>General>Set Side switch to Lock Rotation or mute. If you choose mute, the switch will turn off apps sounds. Otherwise you use the task bar as described above to mute those sounds.
This support article from Apple explains how the side switch works.

Yoga 11s powers off in some 3d games, but only on battery!
I have had my Yoga 11s for less than one week, and I love it, except for one strange problem. When I'm running certain 3D games (only when on the battery), the computer suddenly powers off with no warning. If I am plugged in, then this doesn't seem to happen. I am able to run 3DMark all the way through with no crash, and Mirror's Edge and Awesomenauts run just fine. However, some 3d games such as Trine 2 and Microsoft Mahjong cause this shutdown to happen.
So far, I have tried: updating the graphics driver to the latest version (from Intel), updating the chipset driver (from Lenovo's site), updating Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver (from Lenovo's site). I have also updated the Lenovo Energy Management Driver. I've tried tweaking various power plan settings as well, but I'm mystified. It seems like an overheating issue, but why only certain games, and only when on battery?
I'd love any pointers for solving this. I love this laptop otherwise, so far.
*update* The same thing happens with Dead Space 3. Graphics set to low, and vsync is turned on. Laptop powers down with zero warning on battery. Seems to be running fine when plugged in. Are the fans not being used to their full potential when the laptop is on battery? Anyone with any ideas????
Solved!
Go to Solution.I believe that I have solved the problem. After further observation, it seemed that the fan was never getting activated at full speed on battery, as it was when plugged in. This would logically lead to overheating. I downloaded the newest driver for the "Intel Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework" from Lenovo's website, and this appears to have fixed the issue! I seem to be able to run Dead Space 3, Microsoft Mahjong, and Trine 2 on battery without a shutdown. I will test more extensively and post a confirmation later.
I hope this might help someone else, if anyone runs into the same problem.
On the driver download page for the Yoga 11s, look for "Intel DPTF Driver". -
PC powering off when Video in Browser if Adobe Flash used...
Hello.
My PC may randomly power off when using adobe flash video in browser.
Similar topic:
http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1258555
a) Temperatures in system are OK.
b) System survived multiple stress tests. Some were focused on PSU, some on CPU, other on memory and other on graphics.
c)Tested on:
Opera 12 and 20
Browsers were either playing Flash, with chance to power off. When uninstalled Opera requested Adobe Plugin automatically on Youtube.
Internet Explorer 11
If Adobe ActiveX not present, videos on youtube were played via HTML 5 without trouble. When ActiveX installed there was still no trouble, but since I have AMD graphic card, IE requested to enable "AMD steady video plugin". Once enabled there is still some chance to power off the PC.
Catalyst settings:
When AMD steady video is not installed, or is disabled the chance for this behavior is still here.
If installed and enabled, system did not crashed due this.
I tried latest Adobe Flash 12, and previous 11 are causing this. I tried older Catalyst (13.12), and behavior repeats.
Event log:
Empty. it literally looks like when somebody pulls the plug out.
GPU behavior:
Usually last observed thing is that GPU clocks to full frequency for a while, and then to "video frequency" of 501Mhz.
Other behavior:
This behavior is more like to happen when PC is "freshly booted". The longer is running, the longer it took to power off.
The symptoms are confusing to me. The issue is surely at least partially HW related, but bound only to Adobe Flash. No other HW accelerated video codec is causing similar behavior (at least until now).
On the other hand, its clearly bound to Adobe Flash 12 or latest 11, and some Catalyst settings.
Can you recommend me Adobe Flash version which is not using Amd Steady video at all?
Thanks.Thanks for reply.
a) System passed all stress test, whether graphical PSU, memory or CPU based.
b) Its powering off only when using Adobe Flash player in browser.
I confimed that only Adobe Flash in any browser i tested is causing failure, but I re-think again what components are included in the whole chain. This was happenning even on stock frequencies and voltages, but...
(Data stream arrives from NIC, is transferred to RAM, then CPU picks it up, send it to GPU for (HW accelerated) decompresson , then back to CPU where browser start to manage the data and then back to GPU for displaying)
a) CPU Core failure would cause BSOD, because I have 5 other CPUs to handle the event this way.
b) GPU, NIC or Sound card failure will also lead to BSOD - CPUs will remain active...
c) Memory failure will also lead to BSOD...
There is but single part of my PC, which can cause "Instant Power-Off" symptom. Its Northbridge/L3 cache.
Even when the Stock settings were causing exactly same symptom I focused on manual Bios settings. Yesterday evening (rather today early morning) I found configuration when Flash was stable.
Its not overheating, rather than overload of Northbridge/L3 cache. The amount of transactions between all devices must be tremendous... Therefore I had to customize CPU/NB settings in order to keep Adobe Flash stable. (slightly increase of CPU voltages +0,02v on CPU, 0,05v on NB when compared to stock).
For now I have to re-test those settings for few hours with Flash, and later with stability tests. -
Macbook Air Immediately powers off when mini display to VGA cable plugged in.
I have a late 2010 MBA 11 inch. I am runnig OSX Snow Leopard, all software and firmware up to date as of 08/10/2011.
I am trying to use my mini display port to VGA cable to run an Optoma PK301 projector. Every time I plug in my mini display to VGA cable, the machine immediately powers off. No shutdown screen, no other warning signs, just instant black, as if the power was just immediately disconnected.
I have tried plugging in the cable while the projector is plugged in and with the projector unplugged. Either way the result is the same. I have been able to start the computer with the adapter plugged in and it will power on, however the projector will no pick up any signal from my MBA.
Anybody have any ideas on this? I have a genius bar appointment this afternoon. It is just frustrating because I am so used to everything "just working."
Any help is appreciated.

MicroPhoto flashes and powers off when connected to compu
I bought a microphoto about six months back and had no problems with it until the last week or so. First it became more difficult to get the power on- I'd have to hold the switch in the power on position for a few seconds. But now- every time I plug the player into the computer- the screen shows a quick white flash and the player powers off. I am not able to get the power back on unless I move the battery around. And then- when the power comes back on- I invariably get a "low battery" message, even if the battery was fully charged before I plugged the player into the computer. Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Crashing can cause directory damage. Therefore, you should do the following to check after resolving your kernel panic issue -
Disconnect all peripherals from your computer.
Boot from your install disc & run Repair Disk from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
Select your language.
Once on the desktop, select Utility in the menu bar.
Select Disk Utility.
Select the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes, and then click First Aid.
Click Repair Disk.
Restart your computer when done.
Repair permissions after you reach the desktop-http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2963 and restart your computer.
