Computer problem when ipad connected to internet
When i connect my ipad to my router the internet on my vista stops working .
You appear to have a DHCP problem in your router if you are getting the same IP address for both the iPad and your PC. That is, if you are actually using DHCP.
If you are not using DHCP and have manually assigned IP addresses to both devices then remember that each IP address on your local network must be unique. For example, if your PC IP address is 192.168.1.2, then your iPad address must be different, say 192.168.1.3. This is true for all the devices on your local network.
If this isn't your problem, please supply more detailed information on your network (what is connected to what, and what router ports you are using for your modem and PC -- ISP Modem connects to WAN port on router).

when ipad connected to windows computer for sync I cannot install or remove an app. Screen does not react. Also lost my app store app from the ipad screen. IPad is ipad 2 and op system is 8.1.1. Just tried full restore and still the situation is the same.
For the missing App Store issue, if you swiped fro screen to screen to look in other folders and didn't find it, and did a spotlight search to see which folder it is in and had no success with that, Check Settings>General>Restrictions and make sure that you didn't disable it.
You can also reset the home screen layout and the icon will reappear - but the home screen will return to the way that it looked when you first activated your iPad.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.
For the syncing issue, which screen does not react, the computer and iTunes or the iPad? -
Everytime when i connect 3g internet with my laptop using USB (Windows 7) it creats new connection trailing network1, network2, network3.........
It does not recognise my old connection.
Same case with wifi connection as well.
Also after updating new IOS-5, whenever i make USB connection it does not display my name under my computer.
But before it use to display my name now it is coming as Apple I-phone.
Anyone who can help on this, how to get it resolved.
- I have update my phone with backup (OLD version of IOS) but issue still presists.

@ru..If the message that is displaying is "Network connection timed out", disable any Anti-Virus or Firewall software on the comptuer or check with the company that supports the product on how to modify it to allow iTunes to connect to the Internet.

Voice control when not connected to internet
Is it possible to use voice control with a touch 5 when not connected to internet? when I hold down the home button or the mic on earpod remote all I get is a message that siri is not available and am instructed to connect internet. Does voice control (for music for example) not exist unless I have internet and this bloody accursed siri on?
Thanks I had already seen that but as I said I kept getting the message about Sire not being available. I talked to AppleCare and the secret, if anyone else has the problem, is you must disable Siri in settings before using the voice control.

That usually means that you previously synced your iPhone to a different computer. An iPhone can only sync to one computer. If you try to sync to a different one the iTunes content on the phone will be replaced by the contents of the new computer. -

You can't do that.
And before you decide to store any music that you own on a computer at work, talk to your IT department. Many organizations do not permit it for legal reasons. Standard policies are that anything stored on company owned computers is the property of the company. It could not be legally stored on their machines unless you transfer the licenses and all copies, physical and digital, to the company, meaning you no longer own the music. If they were to be audited and could not prove that they own the music, they would be subject to copyright violation penalties. Just use your iPod when you're at the office if you want to listen to music. -

Try removing all USB peripherals (including any hubs) except for your keyboard and mouse, and then connect the iPod directly to one of the USB ports on the computer. If that makes it work, connect your devices one at a time.

i use gmail , it says i can't access it because browsers cookies are disabled , THEY ARE NOT. I go into tools and options and cookies are enabled. I do not have this problem when i switch to internet explorer. If the issue is not resolved i will switch back to internet explorer . any help you can give would be appreciated.

Alternatively you can just query yahoo every couple of minutes. If it responds then you are connected. If not then you are not.
