    Hello,
Given all you have already tried, I recommend the "Bare Bones OS Reload Procedure" to attempt to narrow down the precise causal item:
Load your OS "bare bones"...if anything is optional, do not install it.
If the behavior presents immediately, then try a different OS with step 1
If the behavior does not immediately present, then run for as long as it takes for you to be sure that the behavior will not present.
Add one thing -- no matter how tempting, just one.
If the behavior does not present immediately, then again run for long enough to be sure it will not have the same problem
Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are loaded or the behavior presents
When the behavior presents, you know the culprit...the last thing you loaded.
If the behavior does not re-present, then you know that either step 1 or 2 cured it.
If the behavior presents no matter what, then you likely have a hardware level issue for which no amount of OS or software can cure.
Good luck and let us know!

I took it to a computer storre for repair they placed the RAM and charged me 126.00 yet its still happening not as frequently but it's not fixed. Grateful for any help you can give.

    Hello sweetbrandigirl2004,
Based on your post it seems your computer is shutting down at random. That does sound troublesome. After your computer shuts down, do you see any messages or errors displayed? The following article offers some troubleshooting steps you may want to explore:

  • Computer reboots when I connect my iPod to a USB 2.0 slot

    Here are my specs:
    - I have the new iPod 60 GigaByte hardrive version.
    - Operating System on my PC: Windows XP
    - CPU: AMD Athalon XP 1.8 gHz
    - My PC is several years old and has four built-in USB 1.1 slots. My iPod works on all of these USB 1.1 ports, albeit slow. (And when I connect iPod to these slots, I get the message telling me I have a high speed device connected to a non-high speed USB port, which I understand.)
    - I just installed a Dual-Link USB 2.0 and Firewire PCI card (from ADS tech) into an empty PCI slot on my PC. It has 3 USB 2.0 slots and two Fire-wire slots. The card is properly installed because windows immediately recognized it.
Now, I have tested two other devices on my new USB 2.0 slots. I have tested my mouse and a logitech gaming controller (although these devices are actually based on the older USB 1.1 technology), and these devices work in the USB 2.0 slots.
But, when I connect the iPod to any of the USB 2.0 slots, I get the little bell sound meaning that the computer is recognizing it. The iPod then displays the "Do not disconnect" message. But then the computer will begin rebooting by iteself. It will then attempt to reboot windows and almost gets there, but then reboots again. It continues this never-ending cycle of rebooting until I disconnect the iPod and then the computer reboots completely. Inserting the iPod will cause it to reboot again. This happens whether or not I have the iTunes program running.
Can anyone give me insight for resolving this problem? Has anyone else had this problem before?

    See

    - I would start with
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
    - New cable and different USB port
    - Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

my new iphone 5 is frozen, with the cord to computer symbol on the screen after failing to finish updating to ios 7.  iTunes no longer sees the phone. I've tried rebooting the computer, rebooting the iPhone, but iTunes still doesn't see the iPhone.

If your computer doesn't see the phone when you plug it in, you may have to take it to an Apple Store.

  • Computer reboots when connecting ipod to USB cable.

Has this happened to anyone else?
All of a sudden now, whenever I connect my ipod to the USB cable, it makes my computer reboot! And it doesn't stop rebooting until I disconnect the ipod!
I have no idea why this is happening, and I don't know how to make it stop.
I am really starting to lose my faith in EVERY item that Apple has created.

When I connect my ipod to USB immediately following taking it off my AC adapter, it causes my computer (PC, XP) to restart.
Reinstall Windows. This has nothing to do with iTunes or any other Apple software, because that functionality is entirely Windows based.
If reinstalling windows fresh (and doing all the updates) doesn't fix it, then you have a hardware problem on the PC.

  • My computer rebooted and now I have an older itunes library!

My computer rebooted a couple of days ago and when I logged back in it looked like itunes was starting from scratch. My library opened up and I saw there was music there and didn't pay much attention until today. I tried to play a song and it couldn't be located in my library. I looked at my playlists and I haven't seen them in over a year. I'm guessing somehow my itunes library reverted to an older version. Why did this happen? APPLE fix these update issues! How do I change the library I am using to the other version? I have backups but I would like to see what it is I am supposed to do.

You can search for another library using the start/search function. You want to search for files named *.itl
When you find the library file you want to use, click on the icon to open itunes and then press and hold the shift key. Keep holding the shift key and you will get a message to choose or create a library. Navigate to the library file you found and select it. Then click open.

  • My computer reboots when i try to open itunes,i tried to uninstall and reinstallitunes but when i try to do either my computer reboots also.

Are you getting any sort of blue screen when the PC restarts? If so, what numerical and textual codes are you getting for it?
    (For example: STOP 0x00000023 FAT_FILE_SYSTEM)
If the blue screen also mentions a specific file, let us know what the file is called. (Precise spelling please. Include filename extensions like .sys or .dll ... for example, "atiduag.dll".)

  • OS X 10.9.2 on Mac Mini 2012 reboots randomly

Hi everybody, I have a Mac Mini 2012 2.3ghz model. I bought with Mountain Lion and everything was very very good. I updated to Mavericks from ML and, a little bit slow, but, I knew it, I needed update since zero. So, I did it, and, since that day, I have a lot of reboots randomly. One day, I had as 4 or 5 reboots in 2 or 3 hours. I mean, ***!!!. Sometimes that passed when I close Safari with a lot of tabs. Sometimes when I eject an USB or HDD. It's so randomly.
I've done repair permissions and pass it Ccleaner. The Mac is still rebooting. I have the last report. I hope you can help me. Thank you very much!.

  • Computer reboots as soon as I connect my iPod to USB 2.0

Now, when I have tested two other devices on my new USB 2.0 slots.

Mine does this too. I've got an older IBM ThinkPad T30 with USB 1 built-in, running Windows XP SP2. So, I bought a PCMCIA USB 2.0 adapter card. All of my other devices (external hard drives, etc.) work just fine when they're plugged into it. However, when I plug my iPod into it, Windows shows a "blue screen of death" for just a second, then it reboots the ThinkPad.
I'm betting that it's a driver issue with the PCMCIA adapter card, so I'm going to start troubleshooting there. If I find a fix, I'll post it here!

  • Computer reboots shortly after connecting cable to ipod

Just recent got new fifth gen ipod 30 and installed itunes, set up library and playlists. Now ready to connect cable to my USB 2.0 and within 30 seconds after connecting, BAM my computer reboots itself. I later get a signiture message 'BCCODE:19'(and more info). The ipod display prior to reboot indicates "do not disconnect" however, it freezes after the reboot. HELP!! Ipod has downloaded some songs but I need help troubleshooting possible hardware or software conflicts to make any headway. What are my options to remedy this problem forever? Thank you.

    Hi Sherif
It's probably worth trying a couple of standard trouble shooting techniques:
    - Reset the PRAM: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
    - Reset the SMC: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
Resetting the SMC often fixes battery/power supply issues; resetting the PRAM probably won't make any difference but it only takes a few seconds and is quite harmless.

    Hi galathil,
I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with your newly purchased ZTE Open C device from France, and that it reboots randomly.
In order to better understand and investigate on the issue that you are encountering, please reply to this message with the following information:

Why does my computer occasionally/randomly tell me "I need to restart..." - in four languages. Something ain't right.

Thanks, rkaufmann87, that sounds like me all over. I didn't have a DiagnosticReports folder but I did have a "PanicReporter" folder. I have copied the most recent log (from earlier today) below. I would be grateful for your thoughts on solution or any further direction you can provide. Thanks.

I stand corrected. The code is still not deferred. I am still curios to find out why. The reason i am asking that is most likely you are hitting a bug which. The bug fix will be on different code and if you are upgrading then might as well upgrade to a more recent code train.
