Computer see`s i-pod Touch as a camera.

Hiya folks, i`m trying to sync my 2nd gen Touch to my new Windows 8 laptop but it won`t show the music or app`s but does come up with the pictures. I`ve tried uninstalling/re-installing i-tunes, a different cable and even a different computer running Windows XP but still the same. Any idea`s?. Cheers, Pete.

is it recognised in iTunes?
i don't know about the XBox thing, but computers sometimes recognise iPod touches as cameras when they have Saved Photos (ones obtained on the iPod) on them, it's normal. but if it isn't recognised in iTunes, then you have a problem.

My I pod touch 5 front camera isn't working. How can I fix it. I have also already tried to reset it multiple times.

If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

Next I would try placing the iPod in recovery mode and then try restoring the iPod. Note that this will erase the iPod. For recovery mode see:

Can I retrieve my non-purchased downloads from home if I don't have my old compter? Old computer broke ( with all my home downloads on it) and my old I pod touch with everything on it got exchanged, i did not back anything up on a purchased 'cloud' program from apple.

Told me to pick it up. When I gave it to them all components were working. Said because they weren't able to fix it there was no charge. Don't understand this.

Probably when you dropped, kicked, smashed, threw, or whatever you did to break your screen it also damaged the logic board and the connections to the volume button, headphone jack and sleep button. Happens all the time. Apparently the shop you selected to work on it is not very good so take them off your shopping list.
Then go buy a 5th Generation iPod Touch.

Take it to an Apple Store and they may take care of it for you.

How are you syncing? OTA or plugged in?
What IOS are you running on your iPod? Are you sure the apps will run on your IOS?
Are you getting an error when you try to sync apps?

Open iTunes, select iTunes Store and in the list on top line of the window select App Store.
You will see on the right side a list of possibilities (Quick Links) One of these is Send a gift iTunes. Click on it and you can select the eMail to send a present to.

You can use your MP3's and you will have to use itunes to sync them.
You will need to put the music in itunes. From there you can sync it to the ipod.

If you have iTunes 11 (the latest which you should use) turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar
To sync to your iPod go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod.... and follow the instructions.

I want to transfer my i pod touch music to my new computer. My old computer is gone.

Plug it in and sync it.
It will erase everything from the ipod so make sure that you have copied everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one first.
