Computer starts up twice, how can I fix this?

Hi,
A couple of days ago I was having problems with mounting disk images, and having DVD's show up on my desktop. Then I went and changed the user name of the computer under my system preferences>security. Anywho I saw the Darwin side of OSX on my desktop (scary stuff) and did a custom archive and install saving user preferences. So fine everything is working. Then to make sure it was all good I ran Techtool Pro 4.5.1 on everything and then I ran Disk Warrior 4 to rebuild my hard drive.
Right after I finished my computer restarted with the apple log and then the cirle whirling below for about 2 minutes then the screen when blue and it shut down and I heard the chime and it restarted again and came back to normal. Then I got a message to update Quicktime and some other intel thing from Apple (you know that updater thingy that comes on every now and then). I had to restart and then same thing happened: apple logo with cirle spinning for 2 minutes, shuts off and I hear the chime and it starts up again really slowly but eventually comes on normally.
Why is this happening and how do I fix it?

Okay I restarted again and it worked okay this time. So when I run Disk Warrior 4 it will restart twice after I finish? Or was it a fluke? Also was wondering why it did that after system updater?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

Windows keeps giving me "itunes has stopped working" error message when I start itunes? How can i fix this?

After downloading the newest version, 10.6.1, whenever I open itunes I almost immediately get a "itunes has stopped working" error messsage, in which the only option is to hit the "close the program" button. Simply closing the error message closes the program as well. I am operated under windows XP with the latest updates (or so the updater tells me). It seems like its getting stuck trying to send me a new user agreement because dont you have to agree to one for every new update? It just can't seem to get past that point. I tried opening it up in safe mode but that didnt work either. Any help would be greatly appeciated.

Looks like itunes was still trying to communicate with my iphone and got confused when it couldnt find it. Found this in another post and it worked great.
Solution:
Make sure you are not connected to the internet and then open itunes. Sync your phone and then enable the internet again. Then stay connected to the internet and close your itunes and reopen it. Bam problem solved.

It seems your iPhone is slowing down and not responding frequently. To rectify this issue you may want to consider performing a restore on the device, and then restoring your data from a backup via iCloud or iTunes.

I tried to run the firmware update and then my mac stopped working.. How can I fix this?

We have two brand new mini macs at our office that we are tyring to install updates on. One worked no problem, and we attempted to do the same thing on the second and there are issues. After I attempted to update the firmware my mini mac appears to still be running, light is on and it sounds like it is running, but nothing is starting up. How can I fix this?

The new iTunes has a somewhat different look from the previous version. You can get the old look back if you prefer it by doing View > Show Sidebar in iTunes. Or you can adapt to the new look.
