Computer Systems Student: Programming C in Xcode

Hello.
I'm University Computer Systems student, I course in firts programming classes and I have some doubts about program C in Xcode:
How I can use the commands from C in Xcode, for example:
cout (because this command send me a error to ran my program)
cin (run without problem)
Thanks for you support

Those are c++ not c functions for starts.
In Xcode select OS X  application then select the command line tool template and then select c++ as the type.

Attempting to update itunes, received system error" Program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from computer, try reinstalling the program to fix the problem. Question, I can't access Itunes to backup library, how do I reinstall without loosing music library?

It doesn't matter and doing a manual install will not fix the problem either.  I'm looking for a solution but no luck yet.  I think Apple has given us a bad update.

Computer deletes installed programs at will, will not delete others, they return at the next log-in. Some programs or hardware continue to operate even though you can't locate the programs or files on the computer. Will not disable some features when asked to.

hello Ebenholmes, is this affecting your whole pc (in this case the problem is probably beyond the capabilities of the forum - you might have to install & setup your operating system from scratch again) - or is it only a problem within firefox? in the latter case please refer to [[How to fix preferences that won't save]], especially the part about the user.js file within your profile folder....

  • When I plug in my iPhone 4S into my computer the iTunes program doesn't open.  Only the Music iTunes opens

I have not synced my iPhone for some months.  When I plugged it into my computer the iTunes program does not launch.  There is an iTunes icon installed but this only opens as a Music/video program.  There is no side panel where I select my device, account, apps, etc.  I have tried re-installing iTunes but there is no difference.  AutoPlay opens when I plug in the iPhone offering file, picture etc sharing but nothing elso opens.

  • Want to add Video and Graphic Card to my computer system

I Notice that one of the users' in the Apple discussion Board is Listed, (AndyO) he has help me many times in the Past and was succesful in my problrm solution, would he might be able to help me with this?
I had Purchased the Game Spore Creature Creator the Starter Kit which is just the Creature creator game and not the actual game itself. I wasn't able to install the the game on my computer because I don't have the right or not at all Video and Graphic Card install on my computer. I had Contacted the Company "EA" that puts out the Game Spore, this is what they said what the game requirements are: The minimum system requirements for Spore and Spore the Galactic Edition for Mac are as follows:
    * Mac OS X 10.5.3 Leopard or higher
    * Intel Core Duo Processor
    * 1024 MB RAM
    * At least 345 MB of hard drive space for installation, plus additional space for created creatures. (260 MB for the Trial Edition)
    * Video Card - ATI X1600 or NVidia 7300 GT with 128 MB of Video RAM, or Intel Integrated GMA X3100
This game will not run on PowerPC (G3/G4/G5) based Mac systems (PowerMac).
For computers using built-in graphics chipsets, the game requires at least: an Intel Integrated Chipset GMA X3100 or Dual 2.0GHz CPUs, or 1.7GHz Core 2 Duo, or equivalent
    Supported Video Cards
    ATI Radeon(TM) series
    * X1600, X1900, HD 2400, HD 2600
    NVIDIA GeForce series
    * 7300, 7600, 8600, 8800
    Intel(R) Extreme Graphics
    * GMA X3100
and that I need to upgrade my system. Basically I need; ATI Radeon 1600 or NVIDIA Geforce 7300 and a INTEL Extreme Graphic Video Card-GMA X3100, in order to be able to install and play this game. Since I already have this game, I would like to be able to upgrade my computer system which brings me to ask; does somone know or refer me to a web site that has and sells these Video and Graphic Card and supports for the Mini Mac?
Plus they say that I need a 1020 of MB of Ram, I Have already found that 1024 MB of Ram but I just need those Video and Graphic Cards for my computer system. I am adding my computer system Profile to my discussion board to show you what I have on my system, would you be able to tell me if I would be able to add these Video and Graphic card and the memory or Ram 1024 to my computer system?
Note: Here is a web site that I am looking at to add the 1024 MB of Ram to my computer system:

    Hi Trisha,
The only modern Mac's with video cards are the Mac Pro and Xserve (server) systems. They both are priced quite a bit higher than any Mac Mini.
Some systems, like the Mac Book Pro laptop can be ordered with different graphics cards, but that has be done when the system is built, as it is not replaceable once the system is built. To find out which systems, go to store.apple.com. For each system that you select, you can see if there's an option for a better video card.

I was on Snow Leopard with no issues accessing my Windows and Java based hospital computer system . Restore the Snow Leopard bootable backup/clone or the Time Machine backup. As for making ML work, I've not a clue since I don't do windoze or access things remotely. You'll have to wait for one of those gurus to pop in or just post what's happening when you try at the ML forums.

  • Ask the Expert: Cisco Unified Computing System Director

    Hi James
This Ask the Expert session may not be the right place to show you all the essential steps for how the workflow can be related to task library to achieve your initial setup flow chart, and onboarding a new client.
However, I can briefly walktthrough "Client blade Provisioning" task so it might give some idea and how you can go about.
Assumption :  the infrastructure used in the following examples consists of:
    -  Vmware VCenter
    -  Cisco UCS
    -  NetApp ONTAP controlled storage
To be able to provision Cisco UCS blade server in automated fashion, you need to create and define the below UCS entities beforehand.
    - Create UCS Organisation
    - Create UUID Pool
    - Create MAC Address Pool
    - Create WWNN Pool
    - Create WWPN Pool
    - Create vHBA Templates
    - Create vNIC Templates
    - Create UCS Policy vHBAs
    - Create UCS Policy vNICs
    - Create Storage Policy
    - Create Network Policy
    - Create SAN Boot Policy
    - Create LAN Boot Policy
Once you create all the policy above, you are good to set up a workflow container for the client blade provisoining.
    1. Create UCS Service Profile
    - Add a ‘Create UCS Service Profile’ workflow task and select ‘Map to User Input’ for ‘Service Profile Name’. Select the ‘Service Profile Name’ dropdown as created when the workflow container was created.
    - ‘Create UCS Service Profile’ inputs. Ensure that Storage_Policy, Network_Policy, Boot_Policy_LAN and Boot_Policy_SAN entries are correct.
    - Once this is done , you can move to SAN zoning.
    2. Configure SAN Zoning
    - In this step, a new workflow task will be created in order to configure SAN zoning. Rather than use a specific user input for this task, output variables from the previous ‘Create UCS Service Profile’ workflow task will be used as input items for this task.
    - Open the workflow and search for the workflow task ‘configure san zoning’. Drag the storage workflow task into the work area and map the following user inputs.
    Create Flexible Volume
    - Create a ‘Create Flexible Volume’ workflow task in order to build a NetApp flexible volume and provision it for the required size.
    - Once again, reconfigure the workflow such that the success criteria from the ‘Configure SAN Zoning’ workflow task proceeds to ‘Create Flexible Volume’.
    Create LUN
    - Using the NetApp ONTAP ‘Create LUN’ workflow task, create a LUN located within the volume created during the previous step. In order to do this, map the Volume Name user input to the output from the previous ‘Create Flexible Volume’ workflow task.
    - Next, enter the LUN details, ensuring that the configured size is less than that of the volume created in the previous step.
    - As before, re-map the workflow designer flow so that the successful output of the Create Flexible Volume workflow task flows into this task.
    3. Create Initiator Group
    - Create a ‘Create Initiator Group’ workflow task in order to build a NetApp ONTAP Initiator Group. Map the ‘Filer Identity Name’ attribute to the OUTPUT_FILER_IDENTITY output variable as supplied by the ‘Create NetApp Flexible Volume’ workflow task as created earlier in this workflow.
    - Once again, modify the the workflow designer flow so that the successful output from ‘Create LUN’ flows into ‘Create Initiator Group’
    4. Add Initiator to Initiator Group
    - Create an ‘Add Initiator to Initiator Group’ workflow task and map the ‘Initiator Group Name’ entry to the OUTPUT_IGROUP_IDENTITY output variable from the ‘Create NetApp Initiator Group’ workflow task and map the ‘Initiator Name’ entry to the SP_VHBA1 output variable from the ‘Create UCS Service Profile’ workflow task created earlier in this flow.
    - Repeat this task for in order to add initiator name entry for SP_VHBA2. Once done, re-map the successful output from the two Create Initiator Group workflow tasks so that they flow into each other as follows:
    - Move onto the next step in order to map the created LUN to the initiator group.
And the rest of steps are fairly similar to above. Create a Workflow and map the User Input Mappings".
    5. Map LUN to Initiator Group
    6. Modify UCS Boot Policy LUN ID
    7. Select UCS Server
    8. Associate UCS Service Profile
    9. Power On UCS Server
    10. Modify UCS Service Profile Boot Policy
    11. Add VLAN to Service Policy
    12. Disassociate UCS Service Profile
    13. Wait for Specified Duration
    14. Associate UCS Service Profile
    15. Power On UCS Server
    16. Register Host with VCenter
    regards
    Andrew

  • Lost purchased iTunes after computer system restore

How can I retreive purchsed iTunes that I lost after I had my computer system restored? I re-loaded the iPod + iTunes disc and non of my songs seem available to me.

That is going to depend on what you mean by "restore". If you formatted your hard drive and did not have a backup then the music files are gone and you will have to re purchase them all. Same thing if you
If you still have your music files all you need to do is add them to iTunes. Go to File > Add Folder to Lib... and point to where the files are.
If you believe you still have the music files but do not know where they are try doing a search for *.m4p, or *.mpb, or *.mp3. If the files are still on your hard drive then that should find them.

Does the Mountain Lion operating system run programs in the Microsoft Office for Mac 2004 software suite?

No, Snow Leopard (10.6) is the last version of OS X that supports Office 2004. You can upgrade to Office 2008 or 2011, or use a free office suite such as LibreOffice.

  • New computer system, printed colours are wrong, please advise.

I recently bought a new computer system inc Dell U2711 monitor and purchased LR4 and CS6. All was well, or so I thought, until I got some prints done. The prints from my old system (with which I only used elements 10) look fine. Those from my new system look awful, the colours are just wrong. My workflow is RAW image opened in LR then finished off in CS6 before saving as JPEG. The saved images look alright but when I either click view/ proof colors or if I use an image as a desktop screensaver, it gives the same washed out appearance with wrong colours. I'm at the limit of my technical knowledge here, does anyone have any ideas please?

Thanks for that link, I will read that. I've been going through the settings on LR and CS and I think I begin to understand. I've been looking in LR preferences and that gives three options for color space: There is Prophoto RGB (the default which LR recommends as it says the other two don't give the full colour range available in LR) then there is sRGB and lastly Adobe RGB (1998). There is no such option that I can find in CS6 preferences but, when I export a TIFF file from LR4 into CS6 and then save it from CS6 it shows the color as ICC profile Adobe RGB (1998). I also notice that in this setting using the view/ proof in CS6 the colours are slightly askew (they were way off when I had the LR preference set to ProphotoRGB). If however I set the LR preference to sRGB and then export to CS6, using the view/proof the colours stay the same so I'm still a bit confused. Maybe I'm just thick, it's a lot to take in.
I've processed a RAW image in the recommended ProphotoRGB, exported it to CS6 then before saving gone into edit/ convert to profile/ sRGB: the colours have stayed the same and using the view/ proof or save as desktop background = no change and everything looks good. So, is this the way forward and should that format work when printed? (I've only got a crappy basic two ink printer which I wouldn't trust to print anything other than text). Also, is it possible to get CS6 to save as sRGB by default or do I have to go through this routine for every image I want to save and print?

  • Playing iPod on home computer system

I need some advice regarding playing iTunes-purchased songs over my home computer system. I've seen various products that permit one to load music files onto a hard drive component linked to the stereo and even link to TV screens to control song selection, etc. None that I can find will play any songs purchased from iTunes. My house is set up in a way that does not easily permit plugging my iPod directly into the stereo and Air Tunes requires me to be at my computer to control song selection, etc. I just want remote access to song files (my house is fully wired) but don't want to give up all the iTunes music I've purchased. What am I missing? Is there a solution? Thanks in advance.
