I was wondering if apple or if any knows what type of cord i should buy to connect my white 13 inch macbook to my tv. i need like the exact name of what i want to watch i would prefer it to be something that i can watch whatever is on my computer screen on any size tv

I just had Uverse installed. My iMac desktop has been the base station for my wi fi, but we had to connect it via ground wire of my electrical system and use another desktop as the base station [with windows op system]. We have connected my Time Capsule to the computer via USB cable. I believe that will require setting up the Capsule to use Ethernet, but the instructiions on the install disc only talk about using Airport. How can I find instructions for setting up using USB cable and Ethernet?

The TC cannot connect to the computer by USB.. it is network device.. it only connects by ethernet or wireless.. usb is for external drive or printer.

You have to do a little bit better job of describing the problem. What happens when you try to backup? Do you get an error message? If your hard drive is close to being full, iTunes will not allow you to backup because of the lack of free space.
Please provide more information.

Connecting the RT to the computer by crossover cable

I have a problem in connecting the real time to the host computer by crossover cable. Sometimes it gives me the error that the connection with the RT is lost. Whenever I get this error, I can't connect the RT to the computer anymore. Although the Ip is set to be the same, the led light on the ethernet port of the RT doesn't blink. I think there is a problem in connecting my RT to the computer. I appreciate if you can help me to figure this out.

Yes, I followed the instruction completely. It seems there is a hardware defect in our PXI. Whenever the real time disconnects from the PC, the ethernet light turns off and there is no communication between the RT and the PC. The RT is connected to the PC by crossover cable and the link lights should be displayed when a valid connection is present. Shouldn't?
After having this problem, I can not make the Rt and PC talk but if I plug the RT to other ethernet cards on other computer, the light starts blinking and after that I unplug from the other computer and connect the cable to the PC and it works. Is it a sign of hardware defect?
What should I do to solve this issue?

During setup HP PSC 2175v all-in-one printer locks up XP computer when usb cable is connected. Only hard shutdown and restart to get computer working again works. How do you fix this issue?

The USB port on the PSC2175V may be defective or the XP USB port is defective.
Can you try the PSC2175V on another computer?
Check the XP device manager for any problems, do other USB devices work ok?

Issue playing movies downloaded from iTunes on TV when linked to computer via HDMI cable.

Recently I purchased the advance digital copy of "Star Trek Into Darkness" as it was it was released just in time for moving some people into another state; we planned to watch it when we rested for the day. After hooking my windows 7 laptop up to a Samsung flatscreen TV using an HDMI cable, iTunes refused to play the movie. It would play when the computer was disconnected from the TV, and the same error would appear when reconnected. The error stated that I had to be connected to an "HDCP compatible device."
Is this some way of iTunes forbidding me from watching movies downloaded from their service when connected to an exterior device? My computer has no issues playing other content, such as netflix, when connected to a TV.
For me it's pointless to buy movies now from iTunes; I feel like I've wasted $20. Why on earth would I want to sit in front of a computer to watch it when there's a TV five times the size available?

Unfortunately, this is due to a lack of HDCP support provided by the TV in use. More information regarding HDCP can be found in the following article.

As an alternative, you can always download the movie in standard definition, which will allow for viewing on non-HDCP devices.
When you purchase an HD video on a supported device or computer, only HD video will be downloaded. To download the SD version, you need to download the video again from your Purchased page. Conversely, if you purchase an HD video on an unsupported device, the SD version will be downloaded. Then, you will need to download the HD version from your Purchased page. HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One Printer. Help tells me to connect to computer with USB cable

I cannot scan anything at the moment despite the fact that I was able to do so several weeks ago. I went to the HP online support site and downloaded a scan doctor programme. It tells me that I do not have the proper scan software on my system and to download it from the HP website. It does't take me to the specific software I need but to a list of things I don't have so I downloaded all of this. I am half way through the setup process for one program and it is asking me to connect the printer/scanner to my computer using a usb cable so that "the settings of your wireless network can be communicated to the printer". I don't remember getting a usb cable with the printer but if I did I have no idea where it now is. What are the chances that finding this/buying this will actually solve my problem and is there a way to solve them without the cable? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I noticed that your HP Deskjet 3520 is telling you to connect it to the computer with a USB cable. I am happy to help you with this connection issue!
To download the software, please visit this website, HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One Printer Drivers, if you are using Windows 7 or above, it is recommended to use the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows. If you do not know the Operating System you are using, please visit this website. Whatsmyos.
In the meantime, page 33 of your printer's user guide has all the options of how to connect this printer. User Guide. For the traditional wireless setup you will need a USB printer cable. Otherwise, you can always try Wireless Direct.

When I connect my Iphone to the computer w/ USB cable nothing happens..

I am unable to connect my Iphone to my laptop. After the laptop having to be restored, I am now unable to get my Iphone to sync to my laptop. It will work with the other laptop but that is used for business purposes so the USB cable does work.. Right now I have no music on my Iphone. Somehow all my music is gone. Please help!! I did reboot my computer and turn my phone off and then back on... My phone is also almost fully charged. All software is up to date also.

Yes I did.. Everything is ready. Just when I plug the cable into the phone and the computer nothing will happen.. When I plug it into our "business" laptop immediately it will show that it is connected... With this laptop I am using now, nothing happens..

Discovered a 2nd gen ipod nano while digging out the christmas decorations - it powers up and charges through the cable when plugged into either a power outlet or a computer, but the computer will not detect the device at all.
I've tried two different PCs, and two different cables but still nothing.
Normally, if a device is plugged in, a notification message and sound are displayed and played, but Windows see no devices in the device manager, and itunes doesn't pickup any devices either.

Endless trouble after downloading IOS7 ON BOTH IPHONE AND MINI IPAD. It takes almost 4 minutes to write and send SMS where it used to take 90 seconds on IOS6. My ipad wanted a passcode after installing IOS7 and I never knew what the passcode was and accidentally disabled my ipad. I tried to reinstall using ITUNES, following all instructions carefully. I t took nearly 3 hours downloading before telling me that my ipad could not connect to ITUNES as my ipad disabled.I have followed all the instructions to connect the ipad to my computer and the screen of ipad shows that I must connect to itunes although my cable is connected to my computer and ipad. Can you transfer notes from the ipad to the computer via the cable connection?

Does anyone know how to transfere notes from my ipad to my computer by using the cable connection? I can download photos like that but haven't succeeded with my notes.

Notes, at least in my experience, go into the notes part of my outlook. I sync my calendar and notes to the outlook on my computer.
You would set that up under the 'info' part of iTunes. You'll see the option when you have your iPad connected to your computer.

My I Pod touch will not charge on any computer, with any cable or in any wall outlet. No sleep mode....nothing. I can not get it to power on at all now

I'd hope you've gotten cables by now,
but, if you're wanting to boot up a new computer to make sure what you have connected is working, here's a list of the VERY BARE MINIMUM needed before you press that on button:
Motherboard
Power Supply (PSU)
CPU
RAM
Power Button
the RAM is negatable, as you'll still get several beeps from the motherboard, letting you know it's saying "HEY!!! I WANT RAM!" Everything else not listed is 100% optional.
Now, to expand that list to make it a usable bare minimum:
keyboard
monitor
RAM
This will let you access the BIOS screen, set settings and basically make sure the motherboard, CPU and RAM all work.
add a floppy diskette drive (rememeber them??) and you can run some simple programs, memory tests, video tests, write documents, write programs, play games, keep account of your finances... YEP, that's how they did it back in the 80s - all on floppies
Everything else beyond that is just luxery! Man I'm glad i've got wifi in this computer

I do not use iTunes Match, and most of my music is music that I loaded from CDs. I don't like Wi-Fi sync, I like to be able to see what is going on during the sync, so I still do everything with my PC. Since I am sitting at it most of the time when I'm not at work, since I teach computers and many online classes, so I'm at the keyboard a lot, I still connect the device there, do my backup, sync, and updates from the PC. Many of us feel more comfortable with that. It is great that you feel comfortable with doing it your way, I just like my way, and many others do as well. But they are still going to have to get connected to iTunes to be able to select syncing via Wi-Fi.

- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

I can't connect anymore my phone to the computer since I actualise all software (ovi and pc suite). It says that the phone are connected in a not compatible way. I only made the same. Connect the phone and select pc suite.
Nothing changes. Only the nokia software. How can I solved this? It's urgent. My N97 is my poket pc.
