Computer Totally Cannot be Power On
Hi hi to everyone,
Recently, i have replace some part of my PC. The parts replaced are 1GB(2 X 512MB)ram, new DVD-Rom and a new harddisk.
After connecting all the new parts, i power on the computer and everything run smoothly on the first run. Then, i switch off the computer to screw back the casing. When i tried to on it back, the whole computer totally cannot be power on as in totally no power even the power supply fan is not moving. Then, i tried troubleshooting the power supply and found that the power supply fan is running in stand-alone mode. Please advise on what to do...

stats of that PSU are too weak. it can't be not enough to handle the changes, or it can be just damaged.
try with better one with high amperes on +12V.
other possibilities due memory failure or underpowered sticks. try but back your old memory.

My iPad is not being recognized by the computer, therefore, cannot sync. It charges when plugged to the wall, but not when pugged to iMac.
Most common culprits include the cable. Try swapping it out for a different one.. or not having the most recent version of itunes. I once even solved this problem by shutting down the computer for 2 minutes. (the longer the better), with the ipad plugged in. starting it up... then itunes recognizes it, launches, and syncs.
Apple has a troubleshooting assistant on this topic:

It will advise you to reboot. I recommend shutting down instead.

P.S The ipad should charge when asleep and plugged into your Mac. The charging behavior is normal. There isn't enough power out the USB ports to charge the ipad while it is on on some older Macs and nearly all PCs. -
I have assisive touch so I cannot use power button on top but my phone wont turn on I tried plugging it in and pressing the home button but nothing is working?
please help- Connect to computer and it it shows in iTune restore via iTunes

ipad does not come on once its unpluged from power source,it enters recovery mode when both power and home botton are pressed with usb on powersource but does not come up at all when connected to computer or out of power source
What model iPad do you have? If it's an iPad 1, the battery may have expired and needs replacement.

My iPod 5th gen will not completely turn on it shows the apple symbol then shuts off I have restarted it and tried to plug it into my computer but cannot find it to restart it
Its been like this for awhile and I can not fix itTry:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I recently upgraded to iOS 7.0.3 and now my iPhone 4S will only sync purchased music to my phone from iTunes. Help! I have TONS of music that I have bought and burned to my computer, but cannot listen to it on my iPhone. This seems ridiculous!

If I upgrade to Mountain Lion on the computer that will install it, will my WIFI still work on the computer that cannot be upgraded? I know this is a very basic question. Trying to hold out as long as I can, but purchasing an iPhone for Christmas and new iMac next year when warrently expires.
Thank U very much for the quick reply, I wanted to upgrade this weekend, but still on the fence. I can live with the software that is not compatible, they are on another compuetr, just didn't want the obvious stuff to stop working.

I have a MacBook Pro 13.3 OS- MAC OS X LION.
Whenever I am staring the computer, it says You need to restart your computer by pressing the power button.
I did this number of times and everytime it freezes to the same screen.Solution needed urgently pls.

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with your iTunes purchases. I recommend downloading your purchases directly to your computer using the Purchases page in the iTunes Store:
Download previous iTunes Store purchases to an authorized computer
Click iTunes Store near the top of the iTunes window.
Click the Purchased link at the right of the iTunes Store homepage (below Quick Links).
In the page that appears, select a category.
iTunes shows you which of your purchases are available for download. You can view all of your past purchases, or just the ones not currently in your iTunes library. Items already in your library aren’t available for download. If you select Music, you can view your purchases by song, artist, or album. If you’re viewing by album, click an album to see which songs on it are available for downloading.
To download all available items, click Download All.

My report included 2 pages. Problem is the final total cannot appear when the last line item reached the page end. (page 2)
final total will appear on the middle of last page (page 3) when i comment (type = 'BOTTOM').

My computer motherboard and hard drive burn up with cs 4 on it. I got a new computer and cannot reinstalled cs 4 on the new computer. The serial number stated invalid. I needed a serial number that will work.

i am trying to write a program that uses the if-else statements and when i wrote my program i got "non-static variable total cannot be referenced from a static context" for three lines of my input.
A:\Disks.java:20: non-static variable total cannot be referenced from a static context total = (10000 * .95 + ((diskCount - 10000) * .85));

Ummm, let me think for a second... You referenced a non static
variable from a static context. Yup, yup. That's it !
If you can't figure this out, you really need to do a Java tutorial or
buy a text book. Basically though, total is a member of some class
and you are trying to use it from a static function. I bet you have
something like:
public class Test {
public int total;
// blah blah blah
public static void main(String[] args) {
// This won't work cos "total" is a member and we are static
System.out.println(total);
// This works cos now you have an instance to pull total
// out of.
Test t = new Total();
System.out.println(t.total);
} -
After watching Youtube content often in HD full screen on pressing the icon to minimise the computer totally locks up totally unresponsive.
Doing the same in Chrome has no issues.I'd still prefer to keep separate user accounts. I never had any issues like this before. The only time I started having a problem was when I was just trying to force empty the trash a few months ago. I came on here looking for a solution and someone posted a way to empty the trash using the terminal. Before then, I hadn't used the terminal for anything--it was just another app in my utilities folder. (None of this has anything to do with having separate user accounts. Plenty of people with kids make second and third user accounts on their laptops so that multiple people can use one laptop, having more than one user on a laptop is not very difficult.) But thank you, I'll try that out and see if it works!
