Computer will not install/uninstall adobe products

My computer will not install, nor uninstall adobe flash player. Everytime I begin it will get to 50% and tell me internet explorer is open. Even if there are no programs running, and I have my antivirus turned off, I still recieve the message that Internet Explorer is open and the install or unistall cannot continue.
Please help!

Click Start, type msconfig.exe, press Enter, click Selective startup, uncheck Load startup items. Click Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services, click Disable all, click Ok, click Restart.
How do I do a clean install of Flash Player?
After the install.
Click Start, type msconfig.exe, press Enter, click Normal startup, click ok, click Restart.

You won't be able to install your original Acrobat 7 at all, or use your original serial number. The server which used to allow this was switched off.
But assuming you have a compatible system, like Mac OS 5 or Windows XP, licensed users of Acrobat 7 can download a replacement and get a replacement serial number.

Luke Posted - If your having the same issue as I did, click your start menu in the search bar type in Apple Software Update, click on it the program with open and it should start searching for updates. Do the updates and then it will try and search again for more updates and it will find ITunes 10.5 click the box next to it and download.

  • My computer will not install new version of itunes

I have uninstalled the new version and my computer will not install

I suspect there is information you are not providing.  I do not think it is possible to uninstall iTunes on a newer Mac running Lion or later.  If you truly uninstalled it you must be running an older computer and you may be trying to reinstall a version not compatible with that computer.  Alternatively, you did not really uninstall iTunes but did remove some other component that has stopped it from working.
Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then  "About This Mac".  Write down what it says about "version"and report that here.  Now continue to "More Info..."  Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).

  • Computer will not install itunes 10.5

I have downloaded the new iTunes 10.5 to my computer, but it will not install. I have never had any problems with any of the other iTunes downloads. If I can't get this to install I won't be able to use the backed up info I have to add to my phone since I restarted it.

  • When I download Firefox, my computer will not install and claims it is corrupt

When i download Firefox, my computer will not run the install and claims the file is corrupt.

Firefox versions 3.0 and higher require OSX 10.4 and higher:
[ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/2.0.0.20/mac/en-US/Firefox%202.0.0.20.dmg Firefox version 2.0.0.20] is the last ever version of Firefox for OSX 10.3.9 and lower.
However, I would think about finding/creating an unofficial build of Firefox 3 for older Mac (if you cannot get next version of Mac OSX). If it's possible. I don't know.
Tiger install DVDs are in short supply. Tiger is no longer available at the Apple Store but may be available for $129 by calling Apple Phone Sales @ 1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753).
    Tiger Requirements...
To use Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, your Macintosh needs:
    * A PowerPC G3, G4, or G5 processor
    * Built-in FireWire
    * At least 256 MB of RAM (I recommend 1GB minimum)
    * DVD drive (DVD-ROM), Combo (CD-RW/DVD-ROM) or SuperDrive (DVD-R) for installation
    * At least 3 GB of free disk space; 4 GB if you install the XCode 2 Developer Tools

  • Acrobat 7 Pro will not install from Adobe download 22020134.exe

I run Windows XP.  I uninstalled my copy of Adobe 7 Pro to transfer it to another computer.  I successfully installed the download provided by Adobe (which replaces original disks) on the other computer.  I found I was having general problems with this computer (nothing to do with Adobe) and decided to uninstall Adobe 7 Pro and reinstall it on my original computer.  So far it has failed to install and I get the message: Setup has detected that you already have a more functional product installed. Setup will now terminate.
I have removed all Adobe products from my computer other than Photoshop elements.
Has anyone any ideas as to what I can try next.  Anyone's help would be much appreciated.

Run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html and remove any left over parts of the Acrobat folder you had before. Then reboot and install. You may still have some issues with the install since the activation no longer works with AA7. If this is the case, then check http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1287524.

So I got rid of the beta and tried again....still said no.  So I emptied my trash and restarted, and it still will not download PS.  I got all my other software ok, but cant get PS for some reason. Does anyone know how to fix this?
    Thanks

I talked with support, go download the adobe cleaner and it will allow you to see what files from PS CS6 are still on your system and get them off.  I am trying now, will let u know if it works.

  • Computer will NOT install flash...ready to throw it out the window

Youtube and music from sites like projectplaylist have been buffering and not resuming at all recently. I thought that trying to uninstall flash and reinstall it would help. Well after I uninstalled, I can't get it to successfully install. I have tried it in firefox and IE (I use Firefox as my main one). I click save file and it brings up the box to install and installs and then when I go to youtube or any site that requires flash it acts like it's still uninstalled. I checked my programs and I only have adobe reader and adobe air listed. I checked the adobe site to see if it's downloaded and it's not. I download the plug in and it tells me it has failed. I have no clue what I have to do now. I'm not really familiar with computers enough to know what to do. I think I have tried to download it like 20 times now. If I go to downloads the "install flash player" icon does show up. I allow it to download and it acts like it did but then nothing. This is so frustrating! It's not the first time I have had trouble downloading this before. I've tried doing the ccleaner also. Any ideas? When I look up help on other sites it just keeps giving me the manual download page from adobe. That one hasn't been working. Thanks if you can help. I'm ready to call a computer repair shop lol
btw I have a Dell Windows Vista if that helps.

Hi, Your Flash files for FF are correct. However, check the Flash folder again and see if you missed one for IE. You should have FlashUtil101_ActiveX.exe. I didn't see it in the list you just posted.
Also is the Shockwave Flash Object Installed and Enabled in the Manage addons?
Let me know on that please.
    Thanks,

i too received a new ipod nanp for christmas. i also have a 40GB ipod. i needed to install the new version of itunes, and subsequently quicktime, but no matter what i do i an receiving the message that there is a problem with the file "c:\ProgramFiles\QuickTime\PropertyPanels\PropPanelHelpers.Resources\nl.lproj

    thanks!

I had the exact same problem and the solution below from "b noir" resolved it. I cut and past from bnoir's post, and I don't know if the link to microsoft's window's cleanup utitlity will work. If not, just do a search on your topic is the disscussion groups. The solution was posted on October 6 (or the original question was posted --I'm new at this).
Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. then use it to clear any existing QuickTime installation configuration information from your PC:
Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
Next, we’ll manually remove leftover program files and folders.
    1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
    2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
    3. Open Program Files.
    4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
    5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
    6. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx.
    7. Restart your computer.

  • My computer will not install itunes and im wondering how to fix it?

My computer wont install itunes it says that an error occured during the instalation and essembly and then has microsoft with a whole bunch of numbers letters and other things. Can you please help me?

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? (For example, 8007000B.)
