Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I suggest this thread:
http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Desktop-Software-for-PC/Cleanly-quot-Starting-Over-quot-with-...
It starts with a process for cleanly starting over (with some more drastic optional measures, which you may need), and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.
Good luck!

Computer won't boot after installing MFP M127FW
My computer won't boot to my hard drive after installing my new MFP M127FW printer unless I first unplug the USB cable from the printer and then turn on the computer. My BIOS is set to boot from my hard drive, not from a USB drive, so what did the installation of the MFP M127FW drivers and software do to my computer? I assume this has something to do with the Smart Install feature.
This question was solved.
View Solution.Hi @frcraig ,
I see that you are experiencing issues with the computer booting up when the printer is connected by the USB cable.
I would like to help you out with this issue today.
Most likely it is the Smart Install on the printer causing this. The printer looks like a disk drive.
On the printer, touch Setup, Service, Smart Install and turn it off.
If you are still having issues, in the system BIOS, disable the Boot from USB device option and the USB Legacy Support option. Doing this will allow the PC to complete the boot process to the internal hard drive and allow you to enter Windows. If this does not work for any reason, you should boot your PC before connecting the USB drive. Once the computer is fully booted into Windows, connect the USB drive and wait for the operating system to detect the drive.
Important: Do not disable the USB Legacy Support if you are using a USB Keyboard. Doing so will prevent you from being able to use the keyboard during the booting sequence.
What kind of computer do you have?
If you need further assistance, just let me know.
Have a great day!
Thank You.

Computer won't load after Install
Hello,
Just this afternoon I had some installs waiting so I allowed them to go through and restarted after the install as usual. After restarting though my computer was sluggish and wouldn't respond to opening my printer bar, or my command to shut it down. My husband hard-booted it and this time when loading it got stuck at the white apple screen and never went any further. The fans were going overtime like it was overheating so we shut it down, took it apart and cleaned it because it hasn't been cleaned in several years.
This did not fix the problem though so I tried hitting CMD+s when it loaded to get the DOS screen and fix any install errors that may have happened. This did not work either though. The DOS screen never came up. All I ever get is the white apple screen that never goes any further. Does anyone have any other ideas for things I can try!?Hi Melime, and a warm welcome to the forums!
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
The usual reason why updates fail or mess things up, is if Permissions are not fixed before & after every update, with a reboot... you may get a partial update when the installer finds it doesn't have Permissions to change one obscure little part of the OS, leaving you with a mix of OS versions.
Some people get away without Repairing Permissions for years, some for only days.
If Permissions are wrong before applying an update, you could get mixed OS versions, if Directory is the slightest messed up, who knows!
If many Permission are repaired, or any Directory errors are found, you may need to re-apply some the latest/biggest updates.
May even need to do an Archive and Install if you have room on the HD, but saves all your files and gives a new OS...
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107120
I only use Software Update to see what is needed, then get them for real via...
http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/
That way I can wait a week or so, check the forums for potential problems, and get Permissions & such in order before installing.
If all the above fails, then it appears to be time for aAn Archive & Install, which gives you a new/old OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space and no Disk corruption, and is relatively quick & painless...
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107120
Just be sure to select Preserve Users & Settings. -
Computer won't restart after installing ITunes
Hello!
I really need some help with getting my itunes to work. I go to itunes.com and download the newest version, which I believe is 10.1. I go through the entire install and everything works fine and it seems like there are no issues. Then, when i'm done using the computer, I shut it down. The next time I go to start up my computer it gets stuck on the "please wait" part of the welcome menu and just stays like that forever. So what I have to do it restart my computer and get into the Repair your computer section after pressing F8 and I do a system restore which wipes my computer clean for the entire day.. Anyone know how to fix this problem? I've tried downloading itunes at least 8 times and it always does the same thing! So not a issue with the Windows installation. That suggests a conflict between iTunes and another program or driver that is ramifying through to the startup trouble.
Do you have a version of iTunes of any sort on the PC? If so, in that version, in iTunes go "Help > Run Diagnostics. Leave all four boxes checked, and click "Next".
When you get through to the final screen, click the "Copy to clipboard" button and paste the results into a reply here. -
Computer won't start after installing ram
Hello,<br><br>I just purchased DDR3 memory, (2x4 for a total of 8 gigabytes) to replace the 3 gigabytes in my HP 2000-299WM laptop. Dawn XAm trying to help sort out a compaq cq60 laptop.... When i try to turn it on, it gives the message... "Boot Manager is compressed, press CTR, ALT, DEL, then restart."
Does that Compaq have Vista installed on it, Dawn? If so, I'd try the suggestion about the message in the following guide:

HT1222 Computer won't reboot after installing update
My mac told me I had an update and needed to reboot. I hit reboot. It just gives me the spinning wheel of death now.
Thanks to an online post I was able to recover from an unstartable situation. And no help from Toshiba on the problem that they started.
Here is the fix that worked for me:
"The workaround I have found is to change the Boot speed setting in Bios to "normal" instead of the default "fast"
To get to the System BIOS
Press and hold the F2 button, then power on the Unit. That should bring up the BIOS, from there you should see a setting under the Advanced tab called boot speed, just set it to normal and you should be able to load windows normally. -

Platform Power Management Capabilities:Supported Sleep States
Sleep states allow the computer to enter low-power modes after a period of inactivity. The S3 sleep state is the default sleep state for Windows platforms. The S3 sleep state consumes only enough power to preserve memory contents and allow the computer
to resume working quickly. Very few platforms support the S1 or S2 Sleep states.

Motion 3 Won't Open After Installing
Hi,
I reinstalled Motion 3 after doing it 2 days ago because the beach ball keeps coming up and never leaves causing me to force quit. I let it stay up one night and when i awoke 8 hours later it was still up. thus, i reinstalled after trashing it. there's never any motion files in the library to delete and no motion files in the receipts. this time it won't open after installing it and booting down computer. I have lion 10.7.5 the fcp studio disk that i install for motion says version 3 but could have sworn on the computer when it was working it said motion 4. Any suggestions? did all my software updates too.
Thanks,
joeMotion 3 is part of Final Cut Studio 2. There are many threads on these boards about trying to get those apps to install properly on OS versions above 10.6.8. Here's one such thread. A search will bring up additional ones.

External keypad won't work after installing OS 7.
External keypad won't work after installing OS 7. I have a "Zagg" keyboard that won't pair now to OS 7,...Why?
They do work. I have one and mine is working. Have you tried to reset your iPad? HOlding down teh sleep and home keys until it reboots then try pairing again.
A slightly more drastic thing is to go into the settings and reset all settings. THe downside, you will need to retweak your device but it can help fix keyboard glitches. -

Macbook pro won't boot after installing update 10.9.3
macbook pro won't boot after installing update 10.9.3
Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -
Printer won't work after installing mountain lion?
printer won't work after installing mountain lion?
Assuming you've first checked Software Update to see if there are any updated drivers and it's still not working, you could try resetting the printing system.
System Preferences>Print & Scan, Control+Click or Right Click on a printer on the left and select 'reset printing system'. All printers will be deleted and need to be added again.
