Computer wont syncronize Zen microphoto upon inserting

I have a Zen Microphoto 4 gig. I plugged the USB to the computer and its able to charge the player. A message will also pop up giving the option of syncronizing through Zen micro photo media explorer or windows media 0 - however choosing any of those syncronizing options will not work because it cannot detect or find the mp3 player.
Any suggestion please

Well got good news!! I got it!!! IT TOTALLY has to do with WMP . But here's the catch. My PC only had WMP 0?but it had upgrades and hotfixes to it. I think somewhere between the original WMP0 and WMP there was a bug. So I plugged it into my husband's computer that had the basic WMP0 and it took like 20 mins. I'm currently installing all my music back on!!?Good luck to everyone!!

  • Computer wont recognize Zen visio

    Hi,
I recently bought a creative zen vision M. I like it a lot. But, the computer does not recognize it. I have another USB cable which I also used to try, but is still doesn't work. Then, I tried another USB port, but it still doesn't work. Now I'm getting desperate, so I use the removable hard dri've option, and the computer, and all my media players recognizes it! And, I can put, and sync with all programs!. So what can I do?

  • Computer wont turn on with bsttery inserted

I'm having a very unusual problwm with my Hp 2000 Notebook. I sent my laptop in to HP tech support because I was having a power issue. HP clams to have installed a new mother board and returned it. My laptop worked after I recieved it. the next day it would not turn on. I did some troubleshooting and discovered it would not turn on while the battery is inserted. To turn it on I had to remove the battery, insert the AC adapter, & perform a hard restart. My laptop worked fine, but when I insert the battery the computer completely shutoff, and would not turn back on unless the battery was removed, and a hard restart was done. I notified HP tech support. I sent it back to be repaired. Got it back yesterday, and it worked fine. Tried turning it on today , and  the computer started up normally, but after a few seconds unexpectily shuts down. I go through the process of removing the battery, connecting the AC adapter, perform hard restart, and laptop works fine. I insert the battery computer shuts down. I contacted HP tech support again they said send it in to be repaired. Can anyone help me with this problem. I feel like HP is giving me the run around until my warrenty runs out,

As you are still under warranty I would advise you to keep dealing with HP Technical Support in regards to this matter. The fact that the issue was brought up before your warranty expired with HP is a good thing. I would advise you to ensure that you bring up the fact that you have had different motherboards, but the same battery and are still experiencing the same issue. I suspect that this is a short in the battery or in the battery connection, but cannot say for certainty.
I hope this helps you get this resolved. Thank you for bringing this issue to the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Zen MicroPhoto Wont turn

I have a Zen MicroPhoto that wont turn on. The Computer wont recognize it. The batery was fully charged when i was using it. I turned it off to go to class. Then went to turn it back on and it doesn't do anything.

Take the battery out, and then put it back in. Try turn the Zen on. The Zen should re-boot, wait for the library to be rebuilt, and then you should have access to your music etc.

When I connect my Zen MicroPhoto to my computer's USB port and turn on the Zen Micro Media Explorer, it'ssaid my device is not connected (although it had). And usually?when you connect a USB device, there's a high-pitched beep followed by a low one, but with my Zen it is 3 low beeps consecuti'vely. I've already tried other USB device (my thumbdri've) and it works and sounds normally. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem with my 40GB Touch a couple of days ago. I just needed to reset the player>clean disk>reboot?I had read that if the software detects any error codes in the player in will not detect it or connect. Hope this helps, it did for me but I'm still learning how to use mine (just picked it up used)?BTW I'm using WMP , couldn't get CMO 3 or 5 to work either?Message Edited by TP24 on 0-9-20070:9 PM

  • "the device is not connected. Please connect your Zen MicroPhoto to your computer" ?

Hi I have just bought it today, and the installation went thru without any trouble. Then when I connected my mp3 player as the book says I for one cant install it (since there's no driver for it) and when I look in the 'Zen MicroPhoto Media Explorer' it claims that my device is not connected even though my computer has detected it - but can't install it for some reason. Any solutions, suggestions anything?thx in advance

I'm having the same problem with my zen vision m. It worked the first time I plugged it in, but now it doesn't work. The player says it's docked, and the computer says it detects it in the taskbar, but none of the programs recognize it. I've tried WMP, Musicmatch jukebox, the media explorer, and the source organizer but nothing recognizes it. I've restarted the computer, restarted the player, clicked "refresh devices" a hundred times and it still doesn't work. Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Zen microphoto-computer does not detect it, help ple

I got my zen microphoto for christmas, so i have had it less than a month. a few days ago the screen froze on me while i was looking for music to listen to. i had been listening to it for about an hour or so, the album once done and i went to get somehting else to listen to and it froze. I tried plugging it into the computer and that didn't make a diffrence. i couldn't shut it down, turn the lock on nothing. but it did make noise when touching the arrows and stuff. just didn't do anything. i let the battery go dead. then i plugged it into the computer and charged the battery. when i turned it on i got the page where you can reboot. so i rebooted and that was it. the last option of the four. it rebooted and i could listen to music, battery charges.
I notice when i plug it into the computer the little charge icon is over the battery and flashing and the battery charges but i don' tget the picture of the usb connection to the comptuer that would show up before when i plugged it in. also the computer doesn't make the little noise that it used to either when i plugged it in. zen creative says i need to plug in my device, windows media player doesn't see it either.
i tried reinstalling the creative stuff, turn off the player and take out the battery and all that, and i cleaned it (first option) and then rebooted (last option). i didn't do the two in the middle, reformating and the firmware thing.
if anyone can help me that would be great and much appreciated.
    thanks-alex

snoweagle-you are the best. thank you so much. still wasn't really sure what you are talking about with the SP (service pack) stuff. but i went to downloads for zen micro and there were three options. took the first application download. downloaded it, installed it, restarted my computer...and it works. i have the docked word with the usb icon on my screen and i can open up and edit my music. (haven't tried to import something yet but i'm sure i'll be able to) i didn't know that i had to keep up with the new downloads and such. thank you so much. i was on the verge of tears...thank you and i hope you are around for awhile in case i have other questions. thank you thank you thank you-alex

  • Zen microphoto wont load full music library

+?hello. i've had the zen microphoto 4gb?for about 5 yrs now..and never had any problems, untill now. last night when i was putting more music on it, when i unplugged it from the computer, it froze up on me, and i had to take out the battery to get it to turn off and?re-boot. but now it will only goes a /4 of the way through "rebuilding library"? screen, stalls for a min, then jumps to the music screens,?and over 800+ songs and all my playlist and even a few genre's are gone. please help. is there any way to get the full library to re-load? when i go to the infomation section of the player, its stating that i only have 20 songs on it, but that i only have 45mb of memory left, thats what it was saying when i had my full 000+ songs on it. i really dont want to have to format it and start all over again, is there anything i can do to get my player to rebuild the full library. thanks in advanced.

thats what i was afraid of well thank you for your resonce, i guess im on the look out for a new mp3 player now.
Your music files are someplace else besides the player? What is the problem with formatting the player? It would most likely solve your issue. Just go back into recovery mode do the format >cleanup>reboot & reload your music back on to the player.

Need help.. please

Yup! there are strange sounds like odd twangs and repeated clicks/whirl. I was just listening to music while the player was in my pocket then the song stopped playing. If its the microdri've, then how can I fix it. ThanksMessage Edited by tutie on 0-29-2006 08:42 AM
