Hi ,
Check whether invoic.fieldFixedLengths are maintained correctly
or 'invoic.fieldSeparator is given...

    hi all.

    Hi Seetha Ram,
Check your FCC parameter for the body.
can u please let us to know the datatype structure and the FCC parameters.
I have gone thru your previous thread...

  • Configuring Outbound and Inbound SMTP mails with SUN Java messaging system

    hi all,
i am new to Solaris i have deployed SUN java comuunication Suite. How do i configure my messaging server to send outgoing mails through existing gateway and recieve inbound mails from the same gateway?
Currently my server is connected to the internet directly i am able to send a mail to an external domain for example gmail. Can anyone help me out in understanding the default functioning of external mail routing and how do i point to a gateway?
    Thanks,

How do i configure my messaging server to send outgoing mails through existing gateway and recieve inbound mails from the same gateway? There is two steps to this.
To configure outgoing emails to be relayed through a gateway, you need to modify the <msg_base>/config/imta.cnf MTA configuration file and add "deamon <gateway hostname>" to your tcp_local channel configuration e.g.
    ! tcp_local
tcp_local smtp mx single_sys remotehost inner switchchannel identnonenumeric subdirs 20 maxjobs 7
pool SMTP_POOL maytlsserver maysaslserver saslswitchchannel tcp_auth missingrecipientpolicy 0
    loopcheck daemon mygateway.com
tcp-daemonTo allow the gateway system to send emails to your host unconditionally, modify the <msg_base>/config/mappings MTA configuration fail and add the gateway's IP address to the INTERNAL_IP mapping table e.g. (where the gateway has an IP of 1.2.3.4 and your system has an IP of 192.168.1.20)
    INTERNAL_IP
      $(192.168.1.20/24)  $Y
      $(1.2.3.4/32)            $Y
      127.0.0.1  $Y
      *  $NOnce you have done this you will need to rebuild the MTA configuration cache and restart the MTA processes.
    <msg_base>/sbin/imsimta cnbuild
    <msg_base>/sbin/imsimta restart
Currently my server is connected to the internet directly i am able to send a mail to an external domain for example gmail. Can anyone help me out in understanding the default functioning of external mail routing and how do i point to a gateway? For the understanding, you will need to read-up the manuals. Messaging server is a flexible and powerful product for sending/processing emails, but with that flexibility comes complexity. I suggest you start by reading the Messaging Server Administration Guide:

  • Information about interfaces

    HI all,
now a computer can have a number of interfaces. e.g ethernet port, USB port, fire wire. All of these can be used for communication (let say connecting to the internet when i say communication ) however a few of them can be used for other purpose as well e.g. u can connect a mouse / external mememory to the USB port. then it doesnot function as a comuunication port.
Now what i need to do is find out all the interfaces on the computer and find out whether it is being used as an communication interface (and also what kind of communication e.g. ethernet, 802.11a, 802.11b etc).
So basically i need to get two things.. all the intefaces and the signatures of the different kind of devices attached to the interface so that i can discover the kind of device connected to the interface.
Now the Network INterface class in java API gives the interfaces on the basis of IP address right? but i guess here i need to do a bit further and not just check for the IP address.
Can anyone help me out here?? give me some hints/directions ?
    Thanks in advance
    Amitabh

You could get the names of the Serial ports using the Java Comm API from IBM developer works and the java.net API to get the NIC card interfaces. This does not include the mouse and keyboard ports.
The remaining stuff, as far as I know, is out of the realm of possibility for Java alone. As a rule of thumb, when you need detailed information about a system's hardware configuration, Java cannot help. You'd have to write some C/C++ JNI code to get them.

  • Fvwm menu not working

Im new to arch and to fvwm but want to learn..
When I have been logged in to fvwm for more than 10 minutes or so there is no longer a menu when i click the screen.
I have installed the stable version of fvwm and done no configuration yet.
Any idea where or what I should look for?

    Kabi wrote:Thanks for the replies!
Yes I did press numlock, so that was probably what caused the problem, since it is also mentioned at fvwm.
    I will read that faq.
I will also use the the 2.5 instead as you all suggest. Since I have only experience with KDE, Gnome and Fluxbox, maybe it will take me some time to understand how to get the most out of fvwm. But I will read their docs and guides since I have heard so much good about it and because I like the idea of having to configure it through text files, since it will force me to learn something,
Sounds like me a year or so ago and of course still learning something new each day. It truely will take some time to know wht to look for when you want something specific, but I'd suggest browsing and possibly registering also to the fvwm forum, nice people and really fast answers too! The other comuunity I wouldn't want to leave..
    Happy configuring!
Oh, and here's a nice little tutorial that helped me to get started..

  • JMS Performance/Design

    Hi,
I am new to JMS and J2ee and I need some guidance, if anyone can help me plz.
I am building a new application where I might have a very large number of clients (hundred of thousands possibly) exchanging messages with a server and between them.
I was using sockets and serialization to handle that but it was ok for small number of users only.
so First I need a robust server that can handle a large number of users, since I have a limited budget I was thinking to use JBoss since it's open sourse and free, is this a good choice or is it better to get weblogic or websphere, etc..?
Every client who logs in can communicate to the server and exchange messages or (objects).
When a client wants to talk to another client, he does that through the server too of course.
I am thinking to use JMS (message beans) to exchange messages between the server and clients, or between the clients themselves (synchronously/asynchronously). I need to find what is the best implementation/design that will have the better performance and to avoid bottleneck on the server ?
should I create a message bean for each client on the server when he logs in to handle the communication between this client and the server and keep it until he logs out?
or should all clients subscribe to the same message bean (or service) on the server?
if the client starts a communication with another client, should I open a session for only the 2 of them? or the same bean they are subscribed to will handle that?
I was thinking to use publisher/subscriber but if there is a huge amount of trafic going on between these clients, how can the server handle all these requests quickly?

    Hi,
    Thank you for the reply.
I know that the system is not that easy, that's why I am looking for help :)
The software itself consists of client application and server side application, the comuunication part is similar to yahoo messenger, but a user can be behind a local server/firewall (mainly if it's a company) or use the public server .
    the requirements are the following:
-The client side application is downloaded from the web-site of our company.
-The application communicates to our company's server for updates and other services (same way as window updates itself by contacting microsoft server).
-a corporate might decide to buy/download our server application in order to establish a local secure server rather than being on our public server.
-The client might be member of the local server of his company (behind a firewall of course) but he also still can communicate to our public server for updates.
(same way if you have a windows client part of a local server and he still can contact Microsoft for updates)
-A Client can search the local server or our server for other clients/users and add them to his friends list (like yahoo)
-The user will be notified (if he likes) when a friend goes online or offline
-The user can send/receive data from his friends. (the data is not big maybe maximum a couple hundred KB , the worse case is maybe 1/2 MB)
They told ma about JXTA and I am looking at it, any better ideas ?
    Regards
    George
