CON2 Poor perfomance

Hi Guys,
I have a poor performance when execute the transaction CON2(Module CO), so i spent the run in background mode.
And still having performance problems.
How can i improve the performance of  this transaction ?
My environment
SAP: 4.7 SAPKH47027
OS: Solaris 5.9
Database: Oracle 9.2.0.8
Thanks!!!

I think you are at the wrong forum. This is not about the performance of SAP systems but about "Enterprise performance management" software, which has nothing to do with the real performance of your SAP system

  • Connceting FMS over RTMPT resulted in poor perfomance of whole application

    Hi,
    We are connecting to FMS 3.5.7 behind the firewall through rtmpt and we have very poor performance over whole application even though we are not playing video in the application.My question is does the rtmpt use port 80 over http eventhough when we dont play video in the application.does it effect performance of whole application when connected through rtmpt?.
    Can you pleae suggest me the solution to imporve my perfomance of the applciation when atleast not playing video in the applicaiton.Please suggest some changes..

    Hi,
    If you are accessing application from outside the firewall It cause problem in continuing the connection with FMS. you can see through wireshark, there will be reconnection very frequently. So, it is better to use rtmps for better performance.

  • Poor perfomance CORBA and EJB in Oracle 8i

    Here are the perfomance results of methods invocations
    (1000 invocations of empty method in an loop)
    Oracle 8i CORBA ~100ms per method
    Oracle 8i EJB ~100ms per method
    Jonas EJB server ~5ms per method
    Java RMI ~3ms per method
    Why Oracle 8i is so slow, even compared with noncommercial
    EJB server Jonas? Is there any way to speed this up? Source codes of perfomance testing programs available upon request.

    Oracle Jserver is quite fast and scalable. Nevertheless, there exists an important overhead in calling a CORBA or EJB method, so you should desing "heavy" functions in your EJB/CORBA objects. Instead of calling 10 times little methods, call one time a hevay one, and you'll find that JServer perforns very fast and reliably.

  • SA540-K9 poor perfomance?

    We replaced a Linksys RV082 using two external a ADSL modems by a SA540-K9, we advice a very poor load balancing and a lot of desconnections, p.e. when we are using FTP, the connection was disconnected, we need to try several times to download files, I update the device to 1.1.42 and made FTP protocol binding to only one WAN interface but the problem still, and the performance is very poor. If I return the RV082 the load balancing and FTP downloads works fine. We thought it would improve with the SA540, but the result is worse.

    Hi,
    In your setup can you please let us know if are you using DNS as a failure detection method. If yes, can we either use none or use ping as a failure detection mechanism.
    Also we would like to collect some logs from the SA540 router. Please log in to the SA540 router and in the URL type with IP address https://IP_address_of_SA540/scgi-bin/dbglog.cgi
    These logs will also have configuration file, so if you would like to change passwords, please do. You can send these logs directly to me.
    Thanks,

  • Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Perfomance

    Having just spent two days rebuilding my iPod's library, twice!, I thought I'd share some advice for anyone who is interested. For some reason the iPod didn't seem to like a playlist I'd made, *Recent & Unheard*, with the rules *Playlist is Recently Added* & *Playcount is 0*. The playlist works as expected in iTunes, but after adding it on to my iPod (and no other changes) my iPod decided I had no music. When I connected it back to iTunes it showed I had 140Gb of Other and nothing else! I assummed I'd just been unfortunate and set about the sorry task of restoring & repopulating my iPod. In stages I put back all my music, videos, TV shows, podcasts, photos, games etc. which went fine. The final stage was to put back my smart playlists since all the media they depended on was now on the iPod. You guessed - it crashed again. ARRGGGHHH! Once was enough - twice was +very, very+ annoying.
    It turns out that all the signifcant information about how your media is organised on the iPod is stored in iPod_ControliTunesiTunes.db. If this file is missing the iPod appears blank, even though all the data is still present. I've read in another post how someone was able to restore a temp version of the same file, but in my case the original .db file was deleted and there was no temp copy to restore....
    So here is the advice. With iTunes closed, backup the folder iPod_ControliTunes when your is iPod is working normally, particularly before adding any new Smart Playlists. If the iPod then decides to throw away the iTunes.db file, which is what mine did, you can pull back your backup copy, change your sync options in iTunes and avoid a prolonged restore job. The only thing I've really lost (apart from the time rebuilding) is my score on Brain Challenge. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I'm sure if I'd backed up the various Games folders in iPod_Control after the first crash, but before restoring the drive, I could have recovered my game stats too.

    Similar situation:
    80G Classic ipod with aout 36 Gigs of music. The ipod was disconnected improperly. all music is intact in itunes. once the ipod is disconnected from the computer, the ipod reads no information whatsoever! the ipod appears empty. When i connect it to the computer again, all the music is there.
    I've put music on the ipod and taken it off the computer, so rebuilding is almost impossible.
    There is not enough room on this computer to save the music files from the ipod and I don't have an external hard drive.
    There is a solution to this promlem. Anyone know what it is?

  • ITunes poor perfomance

    I am using iTunes 7.4.2.4 on my
    Windows XP machine
    2Gb ram
    AMD athlon 64 X2 Dual 3800+
    But still iTunes runs like a pregnant snail in a glue jar.
    My library of files is quite big. But still it is very slow compared to other "media managers"/players.
    Is there anything I can do to sort this or is there any other application that I can use to manage my iPod?

  • Poor Perfomance  of UWL

    Hi All,
    I am having a problem with UWL performance.
    When user clicks on a work its taking 2-3 mts to open that and when user approves or rejects again its taking 2-3 mts time to point back to UWL. Lets say if I change my Default Cache Validity Period to 1min, I think it leads more performance degradation. Can anyone guide on how to improve performance.

    Hi,
    When you create sub views the system determines whether there are additional views with the similar supported item types and which have items assigned to the user. In this case the views are then dynamically added to the sub view. These views can be custom views created by customer and business partners or automatically created views when registering alert items. The system creates one view per alert category. There is a limit of seven dynamically added views per user for performance reason. You can overwrite this limit in the iView property Maximum number of Dynamic views to be added.
    UWL Connector concepts:
    Information reload (hollow items)
    first fetch header data
    then fetch content
    avoid performance problem.

  • Poor perfomance after applying SP19

    After we installed SP19 for XI3.0 the J2EE engine has become unbelivably slooooooow.
    Has anyone else experienced the same? Any tips?

  • Snow Leopard Crazy Problems, And Poor Perfomance Issues?

    I got my first G5 a few years ago and it was totally rock solid, and never missed a step, until I traded it in on a Mac Pro to get SL and be able have better performance and the ability to upgrade later on in Final Cuts Studio 3. I have never ever experience such a horror of crap until I installed SL last night. This is the biggest disappointment I have ever seen from Apple!!! Period!,
    1. I cloned a backup to a Free Agent USB Drive, thank god
    2. When I got SL installed by just upgrading 5.8, I got ton on problems like
    a message saying that I need to restart , so I did, and did , and again,
    30 of so more times until, I tried repairing permissions etc, never worked.
    3. I finally erased the drive and tried to reinstall a fresh install, got SL to
    work finally but now I am getting a error message "Your Mac OS X startup Disk
    has no more space available for Application Memory? the interface is slow
    like a window machine! My system drive is 6 gigs, and I have 6 gigs of memory
    4. Now I am cloning to a spare drive from the Free Agent backup and thinking
    about not even using the drive with SL on it.
    Sorry about the whining guys, but this fustrating!, your imput is very much
    helpful, and I thank you all for being here!
    Tim C.

    When you took your G5 backup... I hope you did not use it to (home directory) to then upgrade to SL.
    Reason is that there is a lot of older code and the upgrade from PPC to the Intel was never a clean one. There where a number of posts that addressed this specifically. There is a manual way to move the files from your home directory but the rest, you are better off with a re-install.
    I did the migration from the G5 to the MacPro and it was problematic. Did a few searches and found that this was the problem. Migrated based on the recomendations given on these boards and got all my stuff working just fine and the update to SL also worked just fine... Its all in the process I guess.

  • Poor view performance of 10.2. vs. 9.2

    Trying to transfer an application from 9.2 to 10g stop because of very very poor perfomance of views. The application very heavily relies on views.
    Imo the problem lies in the parse step; because repeated executions give good results (even with different select-values, when used with bind-variables). But adding a space and forcing a reparse ends in an incredible responsetime, again.
    Suggestions? - Thanks!

    Not sure that OP is seeing this thread... :)
    I found similar symptom in metalink.
    Doc# 438467.1: High Parse Time in 10g Compared To 9i Causing High CPU Usage
    Oracle has introduced "_optimizer_cost_based_transformation" hidden parameter to control how optimizer transforms query based on cost calculation.
    This operation sometimes needs high CPU resource and parse time.
    In this case, the workaround is
    alter system set "_optimizer_cost_based_transformation" = off;===============================================

  • Reminders functionality removed in IOS7 - please make IOS6 version available through App Store

    Hi,
    I am a power user of Reminders (I have over 70 lists + average 10-40 items per list). I use it to access new and recurrent reminders typically via the TODAY list each day. I also use it to track items that I don't want to allocate a time to (such as Christmas shopping ideas throughout the year) but have the option to assign a day / time / priority / location / notes and recurrence if I need to. I use the Reminders to basically run my life.
    I accidentally upgraded to IOS7 last year and found the 'new' version of Reminders actually provides less functionality than the old, not to mention the childish design and poor perfomance issues it created on my phone. In short, it no longer does the job.
    For people who use the reminders for more than maybe 10 reminders in a day, the functionality is now useless. There was no calendar access to retrieve items pertaining to a specific day without having to scroll through (for me) hundreds of reminders - and I had no way to customise the view - aside from pick one childish colour over another childish colour. The interface 'feature' of different colours and different font sizes (dependent on the length of the reminder) makes it impossible to easily see items marked as priorities, when they are each due and when they became overdue. Against the white background, I could barely make out what the crayon colours were even saying.
    Luckily for me, someone at Apple took the time to see how I was using Reminders and agreed that the 'new' version wasn't going to work - and they organised a new phone for me that still had the IOS6 version on it.
    I'm now in the situation that I have tried and tested nearly every Task-related app available for iPhones. There is not one application that does everything that the IOS6 Reminders version does.
    Assuming someone at Apple thinks they've done a really good job on the IOS7 version, I'm guessing they aren't about to lose face by reverting to the IOS6 version, so before I succumb to reverse-engineering the app and paying someone to build it the way it was ... I am hoping that Apple will have the courtesy of making the app available for download through the Apple Store. At least then it can enable it's loyal customers to benefit from core functionality that actually works as it was originally intended - and in the process, discourage those same customers from exploring alternate manufacturers as they are forced to upgrade from iPhone 4 / 4s / 5 / 5s / 5c.
    Hopefully this will reach someone who is in some way, shape or form accountable for the Reminders App and is interested in user feedback.
    Cheers

    As I said ... I have downloaded every task manager - including Remember the Milk, Pocket Informant and Toodledo, as well as about 50 others - and none of them cover ALL of the functionality I need. They are NOT more designed for my type of use as they are time-centric rather than list-driven with a scheduling feature. I ALSO was a power user of Microsoft Outlook (prior to the iPhone even existing) as it was the only product capable of handling the categorisation, search and retrieve functions required to manage a significant number of tasks ... and even it doesn't handle the task management as effectively, simply and quickly as the IOS6 Reminders does. Hence, I moved all of my lists and schedules to Reminders so they were no longer calendar based and could take advantage of the iCloud back-ups + synchronisation across my mobile devices.
    I'm not asking for suggestions on alternate products as I am capable of doing a 'search' on the App Store and even Google.
    I am expecting that in the interests of improving their products based on their own community feedback, someone from Apple DOES at least monitor the discussions even if they aren't participating in them - and this is another portal to try and get them to see sense in making the previous functionality / look and feel / performance available as a download through the App Store. - and yes I would pay money for it.

  • OLAP performance issue with Webi

    After lots of research I haven't found good information anywhere. We are an SAP shop, run SAP ECC, BW with BWA and for the last couple of years Business Objects as well. Since we are a utility company, our reporting needs for a good majority of our audience is transactional and detail oriented as opposed to analytical. Our biggest concern is poor Webi performance running against OLAP Universes. Currently, we are running BO XI 3.1 SP3, Integration Kit 3.1 and BW 7.01 SP7 and still experience very poor perfomance. Our user community is very frustrated with the timeouts and very slow running queries. They benchmark against popular websites and the performance they see there. We cannot restrict data sets any more than we already have, given the detailed/granular nature of data that the users need. What recommendations do you have for us? We seem to have hit a brick wall and don't want to lose our user base. Please advise.
    Thanks

    We had a Systems Integrator (who also happens to be an SAP partner) help us with the sizing.
    The website benchmarking was more from an end-user perspective and more generic. They are used to getting information very very quickly in the internet driven world and when reports don't perform well they get frustrated.
    I understand that there are multiple factors in play here. However, the need to get granular/transactional data is a very real business need and the use of the Webi tool to get the information out from an OLAP universe is a challenge. We are trying to give end-users more power and advocate self-service BI and so haven't popularized the use of Crystal as much. Also, we haven't implemented Advanced Analysis yet. Our belief is that we are using the right tool for the job and have structured our platform to work optimally but given the needs of the users the performance is still very slow and hence the frustration and the question.
    Thanks

  • SAP JPA and lazy loading

    Dear experts,
      I have a WD application with EJB model. I have faced strange JPA exception (I am using SAP JPA implementation).
      This is 2 Entities with relationship
    @Entity
    @Table( schema = "dbo", name = "class")
    public class ClassEntity {
      private Long id;
            @Id
         @Column(name="id")
         @GeneratedValue(strategy= GenerationType.IDENTITY)
        public Long getId() {
              return id;
         public void setId(Long id) {
              this.id = id;
    private Collection<ClassAttributeEntity> classAttributesById;
        @OneToMany(mappedBy = "classByClassId", fetch=FetchType.LAZY)
        public Collection<ClassAttributeEntity> getClassAttributesById() {
            return classAttributesById;
        public void setClassAttributesById(Collection<ClassAttributeEntity> classAttributesById) {
            this.classAttributesById = classAttributesById;
    @Entity
    @Table( schema = "dbo", name = "class_attribute")
    public class ClassAttributeEntity{
    private Long id;
            @Id
         @Column(name="id")
         @GeneratedValue(strategy= GenerationType.IDENTITY)
        public Long getId() {
              return id;
         public void setId(Long id) {
              this.id = id;
        private ClassEntity classByClassId;
        @ManyToOne
        @JoinColumn(name = "class_id", referencedColumnName = "id")
        public ClassEntity getClassByClassId() {
            return classByClassId;
        public void setClassByClassId(ClassEntity classByClassId) {
            this.classByClassId = classByClassId;
      I want to execute JPQL query
    "SELECT c FROM ClassEntity c"
    ; But I get this exception:
    javax.persistence.PersistenceException: The relationship >>classAttributesById<< of entity {test.ClassEntity(id=1686)}cannot be loaded because the entity is detached
      I can overcome it using EAGER loading -
    @OneToMany(mappedBy = "classByClassId", fetch=FetchType.EAGER)
    , but I really dont need ClassAttributes in this situation! I have many thousands of classes and eager loading provides extremly poor perfomance. What can I do with this problem?
      Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Hi Andrey,
    I assume you are getting the exception if you atempt to access "classAttributesById" ouside the transaction, in which you executed the query, i.e. after the persistence context, in which the query has been executed is closed.
    You have got to make sure that all entities you need to access are read as long as the persistence context executing the query is still open.
    How to address this depends a bit on whether you need to access all related entites or only some.
    If you need to access the relationship "classAttributesById" for only some instances of "ClassEntity", you could for example call size() on "classAttributesById" for these selected instances of "ClassEntity" (within the same transaction/persistence context".
    If you need to access all related entities, theoretically, fetchType = EAGER would be the right choice. However, as you have observed, SAP JPA can't handle this efficiently at the time beeing. Therefore,
    I'd rather suggest that you firstly load all related attributes with a query
    "SELECT ca FROM ClassAttributeEntity ca"
    and secondly load the "ClassEntity"s
    "SELECT c FROM ClassEntity c"
    this should execute efficiently.
    Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Application Server - Slow

    Hi,
    We are facing a problem with my Oracle Application server interms of perfomance during peak hours. We are using Itanium processor with 2 CPU and 8g memory. To my surprise neither CPU nor memory is utilized even to 50% but all users are complaining for system poor perfomance.
    OS= Windows 2003 EE Service pack 2 HP Server rx3600 Itanium proc 64bit.
    Forms based Apps server.
    We would like to know what % of memory/CPU is allocated to the Application server and if any furthe tuning we can do to improve perfomance.
    Regards,

    There can be many reasons, start with this checklist:
    * network connection between the servers, and between the client and the app server
    * queries execution time
    * queries count on requests
    * script execution time
    * requests count on a page (for static and dynamic content)
    1st:For network connection,ask the user's to ping on the server
    eg:"ping -t server ip address"
    check the response time..it should be between 1ms -60ms..i it is greater then this try to increase the bandwidth of the network.
    have tuned your application server??
    Regards
