    Below is the solution provide by the SR Team its works perfectly our enviorment.
    Please perform the following steps:
    1. Stop all middle tier services including the concurrent managers. Make sure no FNDLIBR, FNDSM, or other dead processes are running.
        (restart application and database OS (i have done this step additionally))
    2. Stop and then restart the database.
    3. Connect to SQLPLUS as APPS user and run the following :
    EXEC FND_CONC_CLONE.SETUP_CLEAN;
    COMMIT;
    EXIT;
    4. Reference Note.260887.1 regarding the Steps to Clean Nonexistent Nodes or IP Addresses from FND_NODES.
    5.. Run AutoConfig on all tiers, firstly on the DB tier and then the APPS tiers and Web tiers to repopulate the required system tables.
    6. Connect to SQLPLUS as APPS user and run the following statement :
    select CONCURRENT_QUEUE_NAME
    from FND_CONCURRENT_QUEUES
    where CONCURRENT_QUEUE_NAME like 'FNDSM%';
    If the above SQL does not return any value please do the following:
    cd $FND_TOP/patch/115/sql
    Connect to SQLPLUS as APPS user and run the following script :
    SQL> @afdcm037.sql;
    Reference Note 218893.1 How to Create The Service Manager 'FNDSM' on Oracle Applications
    to create libraries for FNDSM and create managers for preexisting nodes.
    Check again that FNDSM entries now exist:
    select CONCURRENT_QUEUE_NAME
    from FND_CONCURRENT_QUEUES
    where CONCURRENT_QUEUE_NAME like 'FNDSM%';
    7. Please run the Concurrent Manager Recovery feature to address any Concurrent Manager / Concurrent Processing issues within the Oracle Application Manager.
    8. Start the middle tier services including your concurrent manager.
    9. Retest the issue.

  • Have Multiple entries in Fnd_nodes..Please suggest

    Hi,
    I have multiple entries in the production fnd_nodes table. Please suggest if its ok to have below mentioned entries. Please suggest the possible steps if we need to clean it up.
    The environment is single instance and on 11.5.10.2 on IBM AIX OS.
    From FND_NODES
    Node_name     Description
    ==========================================
    <ProdInst_Name>     (null)
    AUTHENTICATION     Authentication Value
    Thanks a lot for the help.
    Hari

    The reason I was ambiguous about these entries is, our Test,QA,Dev instances fnd_nodes table have these 2 entries (mentioned above in this thread) plus their respective Instance entries. This raised a doubt, do we need to have only 1 entry i.e. entry of the respective instance in this table or is it OK to have other values like AUTHENTICATION, other instance information in this table.You should have more than one entry in this table, one for AUTHENTICATION and one for each database/application tier node.
    Also, I see continuous error messages in Prod concurrent manager log as indicated below. I Read in one of the articles to check for fnd_nodes having multiple entires might be a reason for below error messages. Thats why I wanted to check with you all, to see if there is any thing needs to be done to avoid future issues. BTW,The instance is working great...Just that I am concerned with CMLog having these error messages populating all the time...
    Would highly appreciate your helpTo make sure you have proper entries, please purge FND_NODES table and run AutoConfig on each tier node.

    Hi ,
    R12.1.3 & 11gR2 DB
    I have a qucik question . When We have Virtual Host Name for setting , What Should be the node name for ICM in Concurrent Manager Admin form.
    In One of our Instance : For ICM & Other Manager , its Virtual Host Name
    For Other : ICM : Physical Host Name & Other Manager Virtual Host Name .
    Which is good. We having a issue with ICM on both Nodes , in every minutes is going down and come up automatically.

    Hi Hussein,
    Thanks a lot. I have already review these document.
    Is Auto Failover With Virtual Hostnames For Concurrent Processing Servers Supported In 11i Or R12? (Doc ID 456540.1)

    Concurrent Processing - CONC-SM TNS FAIL In Internal Concurrent Manager (ICM) Log File With Virtual Hosts Configuration [ID 961216.1]
    ICM Not Starting: Node Name not Registered [ID 602942.1]
    I am curious what should be the node name in concurrent manager Administrator form.
    W ether is should be the virtual host name or physical host name.
    I have just checked with few people , Some Says ICM node name should be Physical server name & Other CM name can be Virtual name. I am not sure on what basis people are saying.
    Few says node name should be the physical host for every CM.
    Note Sure what is correct & best configuration.

  • No Concurrent Manager available

    Hi,

    hi Walker
    you can try to this option also
    configure printer at operating system level will avoid this error as i too face the same issue whenever i do fresh installation, concurrent mgr will be working fine but report goes to inactive nomanager phase
    a)configure printer at operating system level
    b)restart concurrent manager service from service panel

    Hi bhaskar,
    Tha applications are on Windows server 2003. So i typed regedit in run
    And pressed cntl+F and searched for FND_TOP all over the registry, In that i cant remeber now the exact path for the key, it was set wrong folder location for $FND_TOP, so i changed it back to correct location. and restarted the conc. managers. It worked.
    bhaskar, i know you can search for an entry in registry, but for others i wanted to make it simple.
    Mainly, ICM log file was throwing could not fnd some .msb language files in d:\ORACL. But my fnd top was not in d:\ORACL. So i searched registry.

  • How to Call  fnd_submit.submit_program  in a custom Form ?

    Hi,
    Im creating a custom form based on TEMPLATE.fmb in Oracle EBS R12.
    I want to call a concurrent program (called: RVCTP) through trigger WHEN_WINDOW_CLOSED or WHEN_BOTTON_PRESSED whatever..
    I'm using this function: fnd_submit.submit_program
    How i can call it through the trigger ?
    I tried :
    declare
    con bolean;
    begin
    con:=fnd_submit.set_request_set('PO','TEST');
    con:= fnd_submit.submit_program('PO','RVCTP',NULL,'BATCH',NULL,89);
    commit;
    end;
    Nothing happening!
    Please advise!
    PS. i used fnd_submit.set_request_set because in Oracle Apps Developer's Guide it says i have to use it before fnd_submit.submit_program.

    Thank you,
    Check This in (20-30 Oracle Applications Developer's Guide R12 ) :
    Example Request Submissions
    /* Example 1 */
    /* Submit a request from a form and commit*/
    :parameter.req_id :=

    IF :parameter.req_id = 0 THEN

    fnd_message.set_name('SQLGL',

  • Oracle 8.1.7 OCI question: Some threads hang in OCIServerAttach indefinetly after rem

    Configuration: MS Win2k SP2, MS Visual C++ 6.0 SP6, Oracle 8.1.7 via OCI
    I have 128 threads doing the following:
    1) Create environment (OCI_THREADED, OCI_ENV_NO_MUTEX), setup handles, try to connect to remote database 2) If connect fails, log the error message and try again after 2 seconds 3) Execute simple stored procedure 4) Disconnect from remote database ( + cleanup of all handles including environment ) 5) ... repeat from 1)
    When I go to the remote database and perform shutdown of the whole operating system (by choosing shutdown in Windows), something peculiar happens. First I get: ORA-12500 and ORA-12541 error messages. Then most of the channels go to ORA-12535 error message and they loop in that message until I exit the application. However, some of the threads remain hanging in OCIServerAttach function and do not allow my application to exit.
    Needless to say, OCIBreak function doesn't help here (I've tried).
    When I attach the debugger to the hanging process, I get the attached stack trace. It looks like some sockets remain hanging - a terrible thing to happen.
    In the attachment are also Oracle error descriptions that I mentioned.
    I would be thankful for any suggestions here...

    Hi,
    What is going on in your case is :
    1. Oracle library (OCI) is failing to identify a Dead Connection properly all the time.
    2. According to the errors you have received, all of them seems to be appropriate to what you have described in your message.
    a. TNS failed to start a dedicated server process. This error is returned when the number of server processes are excessive or memory is low etc - I am not sure why this is returned to you
    b. TNS listener is not available - May be the listener has already shutdown, since the system is being shutdown.
    c. TNS operation timed out. This will be returned by your local TNS client library, which says CONNECT(socket operation) failed, since the other end has already SHUTDOWN.
    Getting an error is good for you, since you can always sleep 2 seconds and reconnect.
    The hanging thread is due to a problem that Oracle folks call as DCD(Dead COnnection Detection) logic. The DCD can be turned on by setting sqlnet.expire timeout to be some number of minutes in the sqlnet.ora file. Please check on the Metalink on the DCD issue.
    What I have personally seen is that DCD does not always work, even if turned ON.
