  • Need conceptual advice for 16:9/4:3 menus

    Hi,
    First off I should say that I am undertaking my most ambitious DVD project to date and I am in well over my head. I want to order a book(s) and would appreciate any advice regarding which book(s) might best deal with the type of issues I am about to explain. BTW I am still using DVD Studio Pro 2.
    So here it is:
    I have a 16:9 feature and 16:9 menus. My issue is their appearance in 4:3.
    When displayed on a 4:3 monitor, I want the 16:9 menus cropped to full frame (pan and scan) and the feature to play 4:3 letterboxed. Since it seems like there might be some counter-intuitive aspects to this process, some general conceptual guidance on the authoring and menu design would be great. I am hoping that the authoring can be done with this sort of “mix and match” way and not pan and scan OR forced letter box for both menus AND video. Here is what I am sussing out so far:
    1) I should set “force to pan and scan” in the disc inspector. I am assuming that this setting is ONLY for the menus (as they appear on 4:3). And if I am forcing a pan and scan crop of the menus I can just use the same overlay file for both 16:9 and 4:3. I just need to make sure my 16:9 menus are visible and can function once cropped to 4:3.
    2) Regarding the video tracks: It looks like I might have to put the feature on two different tracks, one designated to play 4:3 and the other to play 16:9 letterbox in the track inspector? (why it is not labeled 4:3 letterbox and 16:9 is still a mystery to me). And it is at this point (that soon!) that things start to get cloudy. Because suddenly it seems that if I do that, I need two separate menus (rather than the 16:9 doubling as the 4:3), a16:9 one to point to the 16:9 video track and the 4:3 to point to the 4:3 letterboxed video track. Ideally a 16:9 the menu would point to track 1 and it would play 16:9, and when watching a 4:3 the 16:9 menu would automatically crop to 4:3 letterbox and point to track 1 which would then play 4:3 letterbox. Is that just some crazy dream or can it really work like that? So what is the story here?
    3) If I am forced to use two separate menus, a whole other series of questions are raised. But I won’t go there just yet.
    So you can easily see that I really have little idea of what I am doing in this regard and am in need of some expert advice. Thanks in advance.
    -Thomas

    Hi Thomas
    If you are using DVD Stuido Pro 2 Force to Pan and Scan doesn't work. Not sure if it works in later version of DVD-SP (Don't think it did in V3 and not sure about V4). We do quite a few widescreen 16:9 movies and I'd do it like this: If you feature is 16:9 set that to 16:9 Letterbox. On the Disc Properties (i.e. click on the disc at the uppermost part of the disc layout set the Menus to Force to letterbox. Create your menus in 16:9 and set them to 16:9 Letterbox.
    That way when the disc is played on a widescreen set the menus and track will display as widescreen (as they should) and when played on a 4:3 set they display with Letterbox - apart from the fact that the Force Pan and Scan doesn'y work properly (the highlights on your menus won't line up properly), I personally think this is preferable... especially when it comes to the movie itself. When a movie is Pan and Scanned on broadcast tv (which happens less and less these days) the film's action is "tracked" so that the most important info is displayed on screen and Pan and Scan Vectors are created. If you set your track so that it displays as 4:3 on a 4:3 set then basically you will only see the centre of the screen/action. Why would you want that? I thiunk most people with 4:3 sets are used to seeing widescreen letterboxed movies these days.
    Hope that helps

  • How to hide custom actions from Oracle Worklist Application (Conceptual)

    Hi,
    I have a conceptual question in relation to Worklist Application and the Oracle Workflow. I will explain, now:
    This is the image that demonstrate the situation (worklist app console): http://i53.tinypic.com/34h9ilw.png
    As you can see, i have 4 custom actions (ENVIAR_ANALISE_FRAUDE, APROVAR, REPROVAR, ENVIAR_ANALISE_NIVEL2) and i have three main regions in the image
    (Action By Menu 1, Action By Menu 2 and Action By Button 3).
    I have to make same custom validations when the user to choose any action, then inside of the JSPX file (Human Task Page Generated), i made the following customizations to reach my objective:
    1) At the Region 2 (Action By Menu 2) - I delete these lines of code to hide the actions:
    <af:group id="g2">
    <af:forEach var="childNode1"
    items="#{actionAvailable.customActions}">
    <af:commandMenuItem textAndAccessKey="#{childNode1.displayName}"
    actionListener="#{invokeActionBean.setAction}"
    action="#{invokeActionBean.action}"
    partialSubmit="false" id="cmi2">
    <f:attribute name="ACTION_MENU_ITEM"
    value="#{childNode1.action}"/>
    </af:commandMenuItem>
    </af:forEach>
    </af:group>
    2) At the Region 3 (Action By Button 3), i change the default action button's to point to my managed bean action and make the required custom validations, in accordance to my requirements. After that i made my validations, i call some lines of code to make with the Oracle Workflow executes your default internal functions when an action is clicked.
    <af:commandToolbarButton actionListener="#{myManagedBean.setOperation}"
    text="Aprovar"
    disabled="#{myManagedBean.isErrorOccurred}"
    action="#{myManagedBean.invokeMyCustomizedOperation}"
    partialSubmit="false"
    visible="#{wf:isCustomActionAvailable('APROVAR', 'bindings.customActions')}"
    id="ctb2">
    <f:attribute name="DC_OPERATION_BINDING" value="bindings.APROVAR"/>
    </af:commandToolbarButton>
    public void setOperation(ActionEvent p1){
    this.acaoSelecionada = (String) p1.getComponent().getAttributes().get("DC_OPERATION_BINDING");
    this.operation = UtilWorkflow.getInstance().getOperationFromHumanTask(this.acaoSelecionada);
    this.operation.execute();
    InvokeActionBean ia = (InvokeActionBean)ADFContext.getCurrent().getRequestScope().get("invokeActionBean");
    ia.setFinalizerJavaScriptName("closeBrowser()");
    ia.invokeScript();
    3) The great problem for me now is the region 1 (Region By Menu 1), this the part of Oracle Worklist Application and i cannot hide this Menu or change anything inside it. If the user click at the 'APROVAR' action, my custom validations will be ignored and the Workflow will approve my task, without intervention of my validations.
    After explaining everything this, here are my questions:
    1) Is this the correct way to work with the Oracle Soa Suite ?
    2) How can i hide the Region 1 (Action By Menu 1) ? Is possible ?
    Thanks,
    Victor Jabur

    Hi,
    I am also in need of hiding or having custom validations for the actions in Region 1. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please help!
    Thanks,

  • Conceptual questions with document management and Apex:

    Hello Everyone,
    I have reviewed or participated in thread discussions focusing primarily on subject matters concerning text editors, spellcheckers and document printing. The reason for this is due to our client requesting the creation of a basic centralized document management system that will enable users to create, edit and print technical documents in a database centric web-based environment. The caveat is that the client would like the same basic functionality that users get from MS Word. I know about FCKeditor or TinyMCE and their associated spellcheckers. What concerns me is that I have not found a possible plug-in to handle tracking changes, no one wants to re-read a large multiple page document again when all they would rather do is just view the changes. I know there are possible database schemas that might facilitate this type of functionality; I am just hoping it is more of a plug-in function.
    So with all that being said my dilemma is how to approach the design of such an application using Apex, if that is possible. Some questions I have are:
    1. Do design the application where you have a text field that contains the entire document, which could be as many as 25 or more pages?
    2. Or do you break down the document in to multiple text fields and then assimilate them in to a single multi page document when printing?
    3. Would you store the document data using XML under condition 1, 2, both or not at all?
    4. What types of data tables might exist, such as tables for document templates, work-in-process and final documents or something else?
    I know there are a lot of other concepts/questions to consider and a large part of the design approach would be based on client requirements. My goal here is to gather different basic conceptual approaches, from forum members, in order to help facilitate a starting point for the project.
    By the way I have seen on the Apex Latest Forum Poll, for quite sometime, where Document Management is an application that people would like to see developed. Can anyone from the Apex-team tell me if it is in the works and if so, when?
    Thanks, in advance, for any suggestions.
    Kyle

    Hey Chet,
    Thanks for the response; actually I had visited the sample package apps. site awhile back and did not realize more had been added. My problem is that I use Apex 2.1 and not 2.2, so unless there is a way to load the package apps. to the Oracle hosted site, I won't be able to review there design. It would be nice if Oracle tied these package apps. to their demonstration applications sample downloads function in Apex.
    As for storing each line of the document in a single record, this was thought of as an initial approach. A concern by the team was how to program the logic to identify specific changed text in say a 5 sentence paragraph and how large the table would become if recording it line by line.
    It is still a good approach to consider and we appreciate the input.
    Thanks
    Kyle

  • Conceptual help : JAAS and J2EE

    Hey guys.
    I really need some conceptual help. I have been doing a bunch of reading
    on JAAS but I am missing a couple key concepts and I have a whole wad of questions.
    First let me tell you my end goal: I want my J2EE client application to be able to connect to the app server and send/receive messages in a JMS queue that has access controls on it. This client will not run in the same VM as the app server and often not on the same machine.
    I have it now so that I can connect and send and receive messages from a queue that allows default authorization.
    Question 1 : When I create an InitialContext with JNDI, there are some security properties you can set to specify a username and password. From my reading it is my impression that this is the "old" way. Is that true?
    Question 2 : When you create a LoginContext with JAAS outside of the application server what will it authenticate against? How can I make it authenticate against the same source as the app server?
    Question 3 : So after I create an LoginContext and have authenticated, how does the server know that I was authenticated? There really isn't a way to pass the LoginContext along to the server is there? and how would it associate it with me?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Regards,
    David B.
    [email protected]

    I think I can help you out with Q's 2 & 3
    When you authenticate with JAAS, there are a couple of things that happen. First, you're probably going to have to write your own LoginModule. This is because unless you want to handle ALL security programmatically (i.e. programmatically handle authentication/authorization on the server receiving the messages) you have to use proprietary server APIs. This is at least my experience with WebLogic. Second, in the LoginModule, you have to call weblogic.authenticate()... or something like that. This method requires a security realm within the server such that it can authenticate the user and set the appropriate AccessControlContext - which allows you to use declarative security in the EJB/web tier.
    If you choose not to utilize a security realm in the server (really, JAAS should be a replacement to a realm, not an addendum) every object that you wish to authenticate/authorize must be done so programmatically. In my extensive research, I've found that JAAS does not justify complete replacement of declarative security (at least for my project requirements). It can enhance declarative security and provide fine-grained authorization. However, the pluggable authentication did not provide us any benefit, portability, or extensibility as it just added additional development/testing.
    I have a topic below yours inquiring to user experience in this area. I've read a lot of JAAS posts (most of them don't have replies) and the whole concept seems to be a big question mark. What I have determined though, is that JAAS was never meant to be utilized WITHIN the server. Instead, it was intended as a means for thick clients to authenticate/authorize against a server.
    If I am wrong on any of this, someone please correct me!!

  • Product cost by sales order - conceptual clarity required

    Hi,
    We are a manufacturing company with both Make to Stock and Make to Order Scenarios. In cost object controlling, we have made the settings for product cost by order. Now, the question is whether product cost by sales order is a mandatory setting in MTO scenario. I understand this is a conceptual question but i never got the clarity after reading help files, threads and blogs.
    I'll put down my understanding - pls correct me.
    If i do the product cost by sales order, there will be a statistical cost object ie sales order. Now every cost incurred (with a component split) will be recorded stastically in the sales order in case of production orders created from S.O.s
    If I don't do the setting i cannot get a component wise split for the cost of sales order to do any analyses. but still I'll have the COGS which i'll capture to COPA and take the profitability.
    Can you please give me some more clarity on this scenario? Are there any other factors/ advantages/mandates in product cost by sales order?
    Best Regards
    Vimal

    Hi  Vimal
    Prod Cost by SO is done in the case of MTO.. Here, you have 3 possible scenarios
    A. Only Qty i.e. GR from Prod order is tagged to Sales Order.. Sales order is not a CO Object....
    This scenario is as good as MTS... Only that GR is tagged to SO....
    Your costs are collected on Prod order....
    PGI uses GBB-VAX i.e. does not post to sales order... Billing updates revenue and COGS to costing based COPA
    B. SO is cost obj with non valuated stock (SAP recommends this)
    C. SO is cost obj with valuated stock...
    B -
    Prod Order is settled upon sales order.. GR from prod order does not update any acc doc
    Sales order is settled to COPA.. Here you can use a PA Trf Str where in you have replicated your Cost Comp Str... i.e. You can create as many assignment lines in KEI1 as your CCS in OKTZ and assign each one of them to a separtae value field
    No question of variances in this case
    C
    Prod order is not settled upon sales order.... GR from Prod order updates acc doc.... However, variance from prod order can be settled to the sales order if you create variance account as a cost element... Else, it is settled to COPA
    Upon PGI, the COGS is posted to Sales Order as a single line item
    Here, in your PA Trf Str, you would create an Assignment line and tick "Qty Billed/Delivered".... This would update the Billing Qty to COPA upon settlement of Sales order
    This Qty update will trigger KE4R.... i.e. You need to assign CCS to VF in KE4R for PV=01 and Rec Type = C.... This would update the CCS in COPA as per the Sales Order cost estimate
    The Costing Key in KE40 should refer to "Sales order cost estimate" and not "Std Cost estimate"

  • Conceptual problem: AJAX Memory tree for navigation

    Hello,
    I have a conceptual problem with a navigation tree.
    I have to implement a AJAX memory tree for navigation purposes, which should be on page 0, so this tree is on the left side of every page.
    Therefore I searches some examples and found this: http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/spendolini-tree.html
    So I try to rebuild this example with my custom tables and recognised that this example is very slow. I have round about 100 nodes in the tree and my database and network connection is extremly fast(I`m sitting in a proffesional data center).
    So first of all I am wondering why the tree is so slow when I try to expand it and if it is possible to use this tree on the page 0.
    Because of the performance problem I searched for some alternatives, but I didn`t found one.
    Every custom APEX-tree is not dynamic(AJAX) and the dynamic APEX-lists can not base on a select-statement.
    So at this moment I don`t know how to build a AJAX memory tree for navigation which is fast, looks good and works as expected.
    Does anybody have an idea why the tree is so slow?
    Are there alternatives which I can try to use?
    Thank you,
    Tim

    Hi Tim
    100 nodes is not a lot of data for a tree, so why bother with AJAX at all.
    Just render the entire tree, and let the user expand and collapse nodes as they like.
    APEX has a dhtml tree in the standard themes which is enough to get you started.
    The issue I had with it is that it isn't stateful, so doesn't remember which nodes are open between page refreshes.
    That's what got me into ExtJS originally.
    If you look at my demo, I have a couple of examples worth looking at:
    - [tree using APEX lists|http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=200801:2025:0::NO:::] uses APEX built in hierarchical lists, which allows conditional logic on nodes
    - [AJAX editable tree|http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=200801:2013:0::NO:::] which is fully AJAX enabled.
    The other point worth mentioning is if you are using hierarchical queries for your tree you should consider restructuring your data set.
    Typically trees are fairly static, in that the data changes very little over time.
    This makes a very strong case for maintaining the node sequence and level in a denormalised way.
    Data updates become more expensive, but read operations, which will be the bulk of your operations will be very fast.
    Many choices on how to implement, e.g. materialized views with refresh on demand.
    Regards
    Mark

  • OID External Authentication Plugin - Conceptual question

    Hi-
    Does anyone know the answer to this: If I enable the External Authentication Plugin for OID (to AD) does that mean that if I have any accounts in OID which do not exist in AD, they won't be able to authenticate?
    Also, if anyone knows of some conceptual documentation on this, please let me know. All I could find was how to install it, but not how it works. (do I need to match users on CN or uid or what?)
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Once you are done with user accounts synchorinzation successfully using dipassistant tool from edirectory to OID. Inorder to update/flush the user accounts password that which are synchronized to OID, in such case OID eDirectory External Authenctiation plugin will be used (oidspediri.sh file) located under <ORACLE_HOME>ldap/admin. Provide th neccessary eDirectory Details.

  • Conceptual problem about Designer BC4J Generator.

    I'm trying to use Designer BC4J Generator in order to prepare a migration of some generated app.
    Using that generator I saw it works aon a Module base, that means (I think) for each module it will generate :
    . a project
    . an ApplicationModule
    . some ViewObjects
    . some ViewLinks
    . some Entities
    . some Association.
    However the same table is used in many modules but I didn't find any way to force it to reuse the same Entity and Association definitions.
    I belive this is wrong because Entities and theri definitions should be present once and only once in order to reuse all user code, validation etc..
    Did I miss something ?
    What's the conceptual schema for that Generator ?
    I'm confused.
    Tks.
    Tullio

    Tullio,
    Thanks for the feedback. You are correct, each module is generated into a separate package and hence separate EOs are created for the tables usages for each module. If a table is used multiple times in a single module, then one EO is created for that table usage. We are also aware that what you are looking for is very useful functionality and will create an enhancement request for this.
    Further experiences you have with the tool will be greatfully received.
    Charly,
    With respect to your comment about the generator. There are a great many Designer customers who have large numbers of modules already modeled in Designer, who want to start working with Java and JDeveloper. Indeed I had many requests for such a generator from Designer.
    Without the generator to create all the elements, which Tullio lists in his note, these users would need to start building their (BC4J)Application Modules in JDeveloper from scratch. The wizards and tools within JDeveloper are very good and so this not too onerus a task if you are building a few modules. Many of our Designer customers have many modules, with a significant number of module components. The generator reduces the effort of rebuilding these modules. Why repeat the work when all the design decisions are already made?
    Currently the generator only builds the business components, leaving the creation of the UI to the users. We have plans to extend the generator capabilities to include the UI.

    Inquiry - A customer’s request to a company that they provide a quotation or sales information without obligation. An inquiry can relate to materials or services, conditions and if necessary delivery dates. The sales area that accepts the inquiry becomes responsible for further processing.
    Quotation - A quotation presents the customer with a legally binding offer for delivering a product or providing a service within certain fixed conditions. This offer is legally binding for the company within a specified time period. A sales area can reply to a customer inquiry with a customer quotation or use it to refer to a business partner contact.
    Sales Order - Request from a customer to a company to deliver a defined quantity of products or provide a service at a certain time.

  • PI conceptual question

    Good afternoon:
    We are currenlty moving into SOA and we'd like to use Netweaver as our ESB but I have a conceptual question right now:
    - If my applications consume the web services provided or registered in the Services Registry, will I be using the Process Integrator implicitly??
    We want to register web services and use the web services registered in the Services Registry of Netweaver, but licensing for the PI es really expensive...
    Thanks for any hints...

    >  If my applications consume the web services provided or registered in the Services Registry, will I be using the Process Integrator implicitly??
    Yes, To consume or host webservice we can use PI middleware. PI supports also service registry to register your webservice for others.
    >> We want to register web services and use the web services registered in the Services Registry of Netweaver, but licensing for the PI es really expensive...
    PI 7.3 has plenty of cool features and it is claimed as SOA Middleware. Comparitively PI licensing cost is better than competitors too.

    Hi,
    MM starts with creation of purchase requsition ,it is an internal document raised inside the orgasitation.If suppose ur pc is not working you will tell this to your manager and he/she in turn need to place an order to the it dept for the new pc .this is internal doc flowing inside the organisation.this is purchse requistion.
    After the purchase requisition IT dept checks for the satndard vendors that are avaiable to buy pc like Hp,IBM,DELL.(vendor :A company which supplies parts or services to another company. also called supplier. )IF there are any standard vendors we directly place an order.
    If not IT dept will send R.F.Q(request for quotation) for the vendors and in turn vendors will send quotaion .
    After they send the quotation IT dept will compare all the quotations selects one based on the price simulation ans select one like from HP and place an purchase order .(Commercial documents used to request vendors to supply a product or service in return for payment and providing specifications and quantities. )
    after placing the purchase order goods recepit will be done based on the purchase order.(goods receipt will some times with out considering purchase order as Po will not be placed sometimes for urgent requirement)
    ->Then comes invoice verification.Invoice verification be sometimes before goods receipt also.

  • Displaying a Conceptual Graph in WebDynpro

    Hello everyone,
    I have an application where I am using WebDynpro Java as an interface. In my application, I have a type heirarchy (XML File) and depending on the the type heirarchy I have to give two input Graphs (graph1 and graph2) to the system. Later, on uploading these three files, we have two Actions (Maximal Join and Projection). Maximal Join is nothing but, generalising the two input graphs and gives an output graph (graph3). For this application I have got Java Classes in an external JAR file. On using those external Java classes and methods I should write the logic in the WebDynpro implementation part.
    So far I have successfully finished upto the design part by importing the external JAR file and also managed to upload the three files (XML file, Graph1 and Graph2) in to the context. Now in the implementation tab of the main View, in the onActionMaximalJoin method I have used the external Java classes of the JAR file and written the logic for the execution of the events. But I am not sure how to catch the output Graph and Display it in webdynpro.
    Can anyone help me out with this. I would be very very thankful for you.
    Thanks a lot,
    Phani.

    Hi Armin,
    Thanks a lot for your reply. I am trying to display the Graph that is generated by the external JAR file. The graph that is produced by this JAR file is of .CGF format (which means Conceptual Graphs Format). Please help me with this. I am stuck with this, ans not able to proceed further.
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Kind regards,
    Phani.

  • Network DSCP traffic origination .... conceptual/practical help!

    Hello!
    This is a very basic, but I think important inquiry... I am giving myself a crash course on VoIP/QoS and have some trouble with the foundation of it. Some is conceptual and some is practical.
    So far I understand the ip precedence, DSCP and different types of shaping, etc. I found that on the call signaling side we were missing to detect under one policy the CS3 and CS6 traffic... all voice media is, apparently, marked EF and guaranteed bandwidth percent.
    I don't have the luxury of a lab right now, and have been trying to optimize our voice on the locations with poor bandwidth (1.5Mbps T1) ...
    One thing I don't understand is how this traffic is originally created with the marked header? Is it the actual cisco phone? is it a setting in call manager? is it call manager itself? is it because of the specific command or configuration within each switch "switchport voice vlan 100"? is it the combination of some or all of the above?
    I am trying to learn as I go. I have foundation, good understanding of networks, traffic, packets, routing, etc. Some VoIP foudndation... but lack a solid QoS foundation to better serve our immediate needs.
    Here is what I developed so far and found to be useful, although I am unsure of the "input" service policy. It seems to have helped, but honestly I'd like to know exactly why. And what I lack is the knowledge of how the packets are created by what... If anyone can shed some light here it would be a tremendous help!! Thank you for reading!

    Thank you very much for the response!!
    That makes sense... Now I just need to dip my head deep into Call Manager...
    So if I take it from the top and track, trace and make sure all is marked properly... I could even config my switches to process/prioritize packets with ip precedence X and queue the rest...
    Cool! ... Thanks again Sr!

  • Oracle Spatial Conceptual Diagram

    Hii All..
    Do you guys have any document OR where can I get a document that
    shows conceptual design/diagram for Spatial.
    I want to know how all the table related to each other (Basically, I need the
    ER diagram.
    Thanks!
    Hope somebody can help me on this.
    Best Regards,
    Desmond.

    Hi Desmond,
    Within ORACLE-Spatial two Methodes of storing Data is described. First the Relational Method.
    Every GEOCLASS you are modelling will be represented by 4 tables:
    <CLASSNAME> = main Attributes (referenced by a GID-Pointer) for a single Object
    <CLASSNAME>SDOGEOM = Koordinate-List-Element referencing by SDOGID for Single Object and SDO_SEQ for ranking of elements within geometrie.
    <CLASSNAME>_SDODIM = declaration of dimensions (axis) with lower- and upper boundry, tolerance and name (2 dimensions => 2 Entities within that table)
    <CLASSNAME>_SDOLAYER = Hirarchical indexing-Master-Table ( Quad-Tree ) for every dimension
    <CLASSNAME>_SDOINDEX = Quad-Tree-Tiling and referencing of elements (Area-Index)
    The first two tables of this modell are carriing the data, the rest is for administrative use and indexing.
    Second the Object relational modell:
    Every Object (i.e. a Building) is described within 1 Entity in a table. So the Object is described by a reference-Number,
    all declarative Attributes (behaviors) and finaly the Object-Type SDO_GEOM.
    <CLASSNAME>.ID = reference-Row
    <CLASSNAME>.att1 = first attribute (i.e. ownership of a Building)
    <CLASSNAME>.geom = mdsys.sdo_geometry = entire description of the geometry
    Where sdo_geometry has serveral subtypes:
    SQL> desc mdsys.sdo_geometry
    Name Null? Typ
    SDO_GTYPE NUMBER
    SDO_SRID NUMBER
    SDO_POINT SDO_POINT_TYPE
    SDO_ELEM_INFO SDO_ELEM_INFO_ARRAY
    SDO_ORDINATES SDO_ORDINATE_ARRAY
    SQL> desc mdsys.sdo_point_type
    Name Null? Typ
    X NUMBER
    Y NUMBER
    Z NUMBER
    SQL> desc mdsys.sdo_elem_info_array
    mdsys.sdo_elem_info_array VARRAY(1048576) OF NUMBER
    SQL> desc mdsys.SDO_ORDINATE_ARRAY
    mdsys.SDO_ORDINATE_ARRAY VARRAY(1048576) OF NUMBER
    Thus selecting of koordinates is a bit difficult. But can be done upon knowing how to do.
    i.e. SQL*PLUS:
    col koordinate format a24 word_wrap
    select b.geom.sdo_ordinates koordinate from building b where att1='Government';
    Koordinate
    xxxxxxxxx yyyyyyyyyy
    xxxxxxxxx yyyyyyyyyy
    and so on.
