Concerning multiple frame-rates in one export file to perceive important necessary philosophies.

consider READ QUESTION, The following 4#'d Paragraphs should be skipped and not considered to be read and don't link
to my discussion it's question.
4.It's a strange world we live in, yet the wonders are revealed if realised once more.
Hello my dear friend or opposition. As this was my first post I represented my normal
thought flow throughout as it would be me daily, reflecting as necessary, apologizing in advance
if thrown out of balance.
1.Rather contradicing or raising questions, I would like to consider this very moment the age
of turn around points. As the evolution and perhaps one a day, revolution continues I would
like to take a moment to stand by this process, I conclude we are going towards the red pitt hole.
2. I also consider After Effect a program to allow whatever creativity could thrown at it, powered
by our imagination creating a new breed of cinema. I consider myself a philospher, always spellinG it
wrong but even thaT I consider mental restrictions only preventing me to reach out for your location,
wherever or however you may consider that to be so.
3. Proclaiming filters most out, but if I could only change one mind, I succeeded. I plan to rewrite
or so to speak, re-introduce what could be film and where we could are going with it, possibly. Film will
be an art that could differ as much as some painters have created unpredictably impossible differences
between them selfs. Concludingly art style differ so does reality, I am thanking the creators of After Effects,
and improvers, hereby with a salute for a program potentially as versatile.
QUESTION
Film=60:00 seconds
first 00:10 seconds=>a 2000FRAMES/s animation,
2nd 00:11-60:00 seconds=> 60FRAMES/s film.
Exports results in one frame-rate, I have done insufficient research as why this is still a limit,
or might not be because of simply not knowing enough yet. I created this story that could
potentially explain our source and the infinite continuation of that and why.
Thank you for your time, and I do appreciate it already if
you read this far. Information regarding the question is fine.

Imagine a movie theater. The projector is running happily away at 24 fps. All of a sudden you want to watch the movie at 60fps. You pick up your cell phone and call the lobby and talk to the manager. He thinks this is an interesting idea so he sends the projectionist up to the booth to look for a speed control on the projector. No luck, this one only runs at 24fps.
That's how video containers work. You render to a container (mov, avi, flv, whatever) and you've just bought a projector with only one speed. If you want to change speeds in the middle you have to have a very special projector. No way around that.
So the answer is that you can't render to the same container with different frame rates.
You can, however, in a single comp, have footage that runs from 1 frame per hour to 99 frames per second. You can interpret the footage placed in a comp at any frame rate from 1 per second to 99 frames per second, which would accomplish what you are trying to do, except for the part that the first hour of the movie rendered movie would contain more than one frame.
There are different types of containers however that can display each frame for a specific time interval. Animated Gif is the simplest movie container of this type. Flash is the most common. These are non standard video containers and you have to control the timing outside of AE.
It would help if we had a little less escortaric posing of your question. What exactly, in an actionable question, are you trying to do and why?

  • Exporting DPX sequence: frame rate incorrect in exported file

Hello all, I'm new here.  I'd really appreciate some help with this issue.  My sequence and source files I am working with are 2048x1240, (1.0), 23.976 fps .  I am exporting a DPX file sequence with matching settings.
The problem is, when I import that new DPX file sequence back into my Premiere project, or an AE project with the same settings, the new DPX file has a frame rate of 29.97 fps.
I've tried numerous times and checked all my settings.  I can't figure out why the new DPX sequence is not 23.976 fps.  Any ideas what I am doing wrong here?
here are my export settings, note output and source have matching frame rates:
and here is a screen grab showing the file properties of my new exported DPX sequence, after importing back into Premiere Pro CS5, with a frame rate of 29.97 fps.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
    thanks,
    Jeremy

    Hi there.
I am having the same exact problem, in CS6.
BUT, I have exported this project countless times, and only after my last edit has it started to export at 29. My entire movie is in 23.97. I have tried interpreting the one clip that is 29, but this does not help. It will not allow me to interpret the whole project at once.
    Are there any other solutions?

  • What Frame Rate does Catalyst export .SWF at?

What Frame Rate does Catalyst export .SWF at?
When I import a SWF file from Catalyst into another flash program, won't display never mind play, the error I get is that the frame rates don't match,
therefore I need to know what  frame rate it exports at?

If you have a SWF created by Catalyst, and you're using that SWF in something you're creating with Flash Builder or Flash Pro, then I think frame rate shouldn't matter. But maybe if you can give more details I could help more... Which flash program are you importing the SWF into, what commands or code are you using to do the import? Is there an error message or alert, if so what does it say? Any info you can provide will be helpful.
    Thanks

  • Frames rates encode to audio files

    Hello,
I am not a Soundtrack pro user nor a Final cut pro user, (I use REAPER, and other audio programs); however, I got two people who called me asking (because I am apparently there only audio person they know) "how to change the frame rate on audio already recorded?" One person used the zoom H4N, and the other used a MAudio (?) recorder.. I looked them up and there is no encode to match the frame rate of the film to the sound. It seems that both recorders have no function to do frame rate encoding. (film speed was 24 frames not 30 frames.)
Is there a function to change the audio encode to match the frame rate of the film with in these programs?
What I know is sound is sound; 10 min of footage equals 10 min of audio. It is the encode that tells the film edit tool this is to match 24 frame or 30 frame.
I have looked into the manuals (table of contents) of Final cut pro and Soundtrack pro and not found the key words "Frame rate change to audio files" or "encode to audio files for frame rate"... I also looked online with the words "Frame rate change for Audio files" and "Audio encode frame rate change."
Can anyone help me to pass this information back to these people?
    Thank you!

Tell them to change the sample rate to 48khz/16bit. Straight audio does not have a frame rate.

  • Combining multiple Tax Authorities onto one Mag file

I am trying to include multiple tax authorities to one Mag File layout. I have followed the directions provided in the 2009 Year end Tax reporter configuration guide, but the individual tax authorities are still not printing on one Mag file.
    Briefly:
    1. Created new MAG file
    2. Assiged it to default level form
    3. Updated T5UX4 AND T5UX5
Yet PU19 still shows individual files for the tax authorities
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Roscoe

    Hello,
I dont think you can combine multiple tax authority to one mag media. Each authority require data's that are relevant only for there authority, they are not interested in other authority data. And also each authority provide specific format how the data should be submitted to them.

  • Multiple formats and frame rates in one sequence

i have material shot on many different cameras. it includes PAL and NTSC, HD and SD, 24, 25, 30, and 60 fps, ProRes, DCVProHD, DVCam, etc etc. the final product is going to HD in both NTSC 24fps and Pal 25fps, for NatGeo domestic and international.
the roughs are already done with this hodgepodge. my job is to clean up the audio (done), and send the video out in for color, titles, and graphics. i'm trying to get at least the frame rates to match at 24, much of it is already in 24 dvcprohd or prores, so i have been doing quicktime exports of the non-dvcprohd/prores video to prores, then conforming to 24p in cinema tools, then overlaying the clips in the sequence with a fit to fill edit. sync has not been a problem, miraculously, even though the speeds end up between 100 and 125 percent.
am i doing anything right, and if not, what's a preferable way to handle this mess? i tried media manager initially but nothing would relink, so i gave up and started doing the clips individually as stated above.
all i know for sure is that whatever i end up doing, they're not paying me nearly enough.
    -m

Hi Shane - Thanks for getting back to me! I figured I'd have to compress it, but
my question is - how? Initially, I used MPEG Streamclip to import the 23.98 dvd footage in as a DV/DVC Pro QT at 100% Best Quality. I then imported those files into FCP. After getting your e-mail, I went to export the files into Compressor (from FCP), and I'm only given 5 setting choices under "QT." I'm not sure which one to select . . . Uncompressed 10 bit? Any ideas? Again, thanks so much!!!

  • Multiple Frame rate's??

My english is not .. excellent.. but i think u'll
understand.. Just, keep that in mind :)
Soo, my question is... Does exist any solution which provides
using different frame rate's (fps) in one .. scenee
For example.. one animation has a 20 fps. & anotherr
hasss 30... but they're in the same scene, or file... Does that
possible, or is there something that can help me whit this
    situation. ?

Okett.... So, is there any optionn or tip orr action... that
cann make faster speed to some object..?

  • Save multiple sample rate data to TDM file

    Hello, LV connoisseurs
I use 2 Multifunction boards and LV 7.1 to gather slow and fast data simultaneously, 'slow' being 10 temperatures at 150 Hz, 'fast' being 12 pressures at 15 kHz, rate factor between slow and fast is constant 100. My acquisition is set to 'continuous' with blocks of 15 and 1500 resp., so each sample set takes 0.1 sec.
Currently, I use 2 loops, one for each board. Slow data are written to .lvm, fast to .tdm, and this works fine.
But I wonder if in this configuration it might be possible to
    - use one loop only (yes, trivial) with the main target being to
    - write data into two channel groups of one .tdm-file, one for the 'fast' the other for the 'slow' data?
If at all possible, would this require the consumer/supplier scheme such as to allow the interspersing of data or can I do this directly?
    Thank You for your input.
    Michael

Just to make the distinction, you should probably be using TDMS (the S stands for streaming) instead of TDM if you are continuously writing data. TDM is more for writing a snap-shot and doesn't work so well for continuous data (big memory leaks last time I used it back in '06).
Also, as no time data is stored you probably also want separate timestamp channels then for your fast and slow data.
As mentioned, it is no problem having multiple writing loops using the same TDMS reference.

  • Multiple Digital Signatures on one PDF file

I have been trying to establish a means of allocating multiple signatures against one PDF file so as to have several people approve a issued document or documents. When ever I try it I find that the latest approval makes the previous one obsolete. I expect there is a simple solution to the problem.

The only thing I've found is the 3rd party program solution. CoSign is the name of the product I see most often referenced. Mind you, I am looking on behalf of my users/customers who have documents with multiple signatures they've saved inthe past, but cannot do it today. It appears that either Microsoft (these are Excel and Word documents they are referring to) produced a security update that changed this, or a 3rd party program is no longer effectively working.
For reference, I've been actively searching the internet for days for an answer - unfortunately, I've only found 3rd party programs referenced. Which I could have been more help.

  • Multiple xsd's for one xml file

    Hi Experts,
My scenario is HTTP to IDoc. My client is sending me XML file as input. I have got 4 XSD's from that XML file. I imported them into PI with giving references by using new importing method with refenences. I have got 4 XSD's imported succesfully into PI with the references in external references tab.
Tha problem is each XSD is creating multiple messages(splitted) in PI. I can't use any one message in mapping becuase no message has full message to map with the output. One message has reference to the other message.
Please suggest me how to proceed...
    Thanks-
    Ramesh.

There should be a Main XSD which will refer the other (4) XSDs....right now you seem to be importing the XSDs independently.
If XSD1 is referring XSD2, XSD2 is referring XSD3 and so on.....then XSD1 will form your Main XSD and then each XSD will have a separate reference to the next XSD.....all the XSDs need to be imported in XI.
For example, create Data-types DT1, DT2, DT3, DT4 and provide a reference between them....DT2 in DT1, DT3 in DT2, DT4 in DT3....ultimately DT1 will refer all the other strcutures.....I hope this is what you are looking for.

  • Change frame rate on an AC3 files?

I've been given two NTSC (23.98 fps) .ac3 files (5.1 Dolby Digital EX and 6.1 DTS-ES) that I need to use in a PAL 25fps project. Any suggestions as to how to change the frame rate to match my PAL encodes?

You shouldn't have to change the 'frame rate' of your .ac3 sound files. Both PAL & NTSC video use the same sound formats. The only problem you might run into is if you changed the duration of the video when you did the video conversion. Hint - keep the durations the same.
Have you have changed the duration of your video versions? If so then start by decoding your .ac3s and then running them through a 'time-strectching' program before re-encoding them to .ac3. Not very elegant I'm afraid.

  • Working with multiple frame rates

Hi- I unfortunately am dealing with a project where I'm dealing with potentially 3 different frame rates. I have some shot at 29.97ndf, some HDV captured using 1080i60 and some P2s converted for FCP and are at 23.98.
I understand that FCP 6 can handle different frame rates in the same timeline, so... are all these different rates something I need to be concerned with? I'll need to cut these together into a single montage and my end product will be a DVD.
    Thanks for your help.
    Robert

Thank you guys. Any specific ProRes? (there are so many of them). So... does this mean when I render it at 29.97 for NTSC all the 23.98 footage is going to get speed up like chipmunks?
    Thanks again.

  • How best to deal with multiple frame rates in storyline?

Hey all, my lack of attention to detail may have cost me hours.  I have a movie I am working on and made the stupid assumption that all my clips are the same frame rate.  Don't ask why I didn't check - just sheer stupidity.
So now I have numerous clips in the storyline all meticulously edited to sync with other clips, music, the whole nine.  Some source clips are 24p while others are 60i.  Do I really have to go back and convert each clip individually?  I am looking to preserve quality as much as possible, and I know getting 60i to 24p will create some loss, but is there a nice and easy way to do the converting all at once after I complete the storyline?
Thanks in advance.  Time to go do something else while I wait for answers...

    on playback inside FCPX.
    And on export.
you'll notice in the 'Retime Menu' the Option 'Conform Speed' - eg, when I add a 60p clip to my 25p Project, I get a wonderful smooth slomow, due to the 60fps get 'stretched' to 25fps.
if I don't Conform Speed, the 60p get playbacked - in a 25p pProject! - in real time => no slowmo
How 'good' FCPX does the marvel to down-cascade 60i into 24p ... try yourself.
no interlaced material in use here.
quality is in the eye of the beholder ...

  • Different frame rates in one movie

Hi there... have a flash movie at 18 frames p/s, have had to
embed video which is at 25 frames p/s (obviously this means that
the video itself is slower than the sound). Is there any way i can
use action script to control the frame rate of a movie - have it at
18 fps for a certain amount of frames, then up to 25 fps for the
next couple of frames, and then back down to 18fps??
Any help would b greatly appreciated.

Import with progressive steaming and it will not matter, and
you shouldn't embed FLV files unless it is absolutely necessary.
You can't change the frame rate with actionscript.

  • Working with many different formats/codecs/frame rates within one Sequence.

    Good Afternoon,
As an editor for an ad agency I am being tasked with cutting a demo reel together. Nothing too difficult.
The reel is to include video footage of past projects, going back a couple years or so. The footage that I will be given will undoubtably be in a variety of formats, codecs, frame sizes, frame rates, etc (all SD, though). Delivery is SD DVD.
    My question is this:
What is the best way to set up my timeline for a barrage of clips with differing specs?
Do I encode all the media assets FIRST to conform to my Sequence Settings? Or do I just deal with the large amounts of timeline rendering as I work with different formats and codecs? Or do I....?
I am running FCP 5.1.4, so I don't have the Open Timeline feature going for me.
I appreciate any advice and tips you can offer!
    Thanks!

Your final format is NTSC SD DVD, so you're going to have to go to 720x480 at some point. This is what I would upscale to. Make sure your "client" knows that the 320x240 wmv's may not look to good in the final production.
Personally I use MPEG Streamclip (an excellent FREE application that's part of many a pro's arsenal) for this kind of conversion and/or upscaling. It's not particularly intuitive (especially for upscaling) so read the manual.
You may need to get hold of Flip4Mac or Episode for the wmv conversions.
I would tend to convert to a lossless codec like Apple Uncompressed or Animation. You could try going to NTSC-DV but you're going to lose some quality initially and again when you do the final mpeg2 compression.
    Experiment.
