Concise English dictionary for Nokia 5700 xpressmu...

Hi all! I lost my English-Chinese dictionary's word database for my Nokia 5700 after reformatting Mcard. If any one has Nokia 5700 can send me the application file, he or she will be reciprocated with the "concise english dictionary for Nokia 5700 xpressmusic". So, let me know!
Otherwise, no one seems to help as posted here previously in this matter.

• Concise english dictionary: profanity filter

I had the CED (Concise English Dictionary) installed in my i-Phone 3G and had access to the full dictionary by unchecking the "profanity" filter in "Settings." When I upgraded to i-Phone v.3.0 the dictionary was censored and the filter uncheck is no longer available. The response I got from CED is: "Apple rejected our application because of the profanity filter (stating that "applications must not contain any obscene, pornographic, offensive or defamatory content or materials of any kind"). However, we can put the profane words back in the next release because the new OS version has parental control feature. However, apple is not quite consistent on this, sometimes they reject application even if they have the right ratings."
It is absurd that Apple is assuming the role of morality judges, with all the garbage in the web. Profane words are part of the full spectrum of language -- and harmless. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE AND GET TO THE RIGHT PERSON?

I sympathise. There have been a few cases recently that have highlighted some significant inconsistencies in how the Apps store judges whether to host an app (Nine Inch Nails for one)
I think it's more to do with how the review process operates (Apple provide guidelines, but individual reviews - possibly outsourced - have latitude to exercise their own discretion) than with a deliberate policy.
Doesn't help you a fat lot. I suggest contacting some of the better known Apple commentators (Pogue, Gruber, Mossberg etc; maybe Macworld). They're usually pretty good at raising the profile of issues such as this.

Yes, you can download Mstartdic, though I think is still in extrastesting so you have to activate that catalog...it works pretty fine and you can download the Webster English dictionary to your phone...
Beware! You should UNRAR the files (not unzip or 7zip) and you have to download them in the stardict format..Otherwise they wont work...
Both have been promoted to exttras.

• English Dictionary for 6300

What's the maximum limit of java app for nokia 6300? My 6mb file of Oxford dictionary won't work..
buy xanax online

as the 6300 is a Series40 phone, it does not have a larger capacity/unlimited capacity to the size of java applications that are able to be installed/executed, as is able to be done on Series60 phones. according to the specifications, the maximum JAR size is 1MB, so unfortunately, seems you are out of luck .
please throw some kudos our way, it would mean a lot to us

• My US english dictionary for the system-wide spellcheck has died

At some point in the past few days I noticed that my spelling had gotten a lot more accurate... or so I thought. Actually, what happened is, for some reason, whenever I choose ordinary US English as my dictionary for the spell checker, it thinks that every word is spelled right. This isn't an UBER problem because there is the UK dictionary too... but I would still like to fix my US English dictionary so that I don't have to spell colour wrong.
I wouldn't mind just resetting all of the dictionaries, I just don't see a place to do that.

If the language is set ithe paragraph style, that's where it needs to be changed. If it's local formatting override you can use Find/Change to change the exixiting text all at once, but that won't change the style definition. A global definition change might be possible via script. Ask over in InDesign Scripting

• Spanish-English dictionary for Mac?

Can anyone recommend a really good Spanish-English dictionary that will work on the latest Macs? I have the old Richmond Electronic Dictionary, which I love, but it only works on OS 9. It had not just definitions, but sample sentences using the words, and it always has the words I seem to need. I downloaded UltraLingua, which works with OS X, but it has many fewer words, and doesn't provide the sample sentences to illustrate usage. Would appreciate any recommendations.

Thanks. I have Ultralingua, but time and again I have found that it does not have the words I need. I think I need a dictionary with a lot more words, as my Spanish is fairly fluent. I often look a word up in Ultralingua, can't find it, and then have to open OS 9 and open my old Richmond dictionary, which always seems to have the word I need. But that process is very slow, and when a get a new computer (soon) I won't have OS 9 any more.

• Reset english dictionary on Nokia 6610i

Hi,
I use the Nokia 6610i phone. Following is the output of *#0000# :
v 4.10
08-10-04
RM-37
I've added some words and some other punctuations to the dictionary which are now getting in the way. I want to completely remove them and start out with a fresh "factory" like english predictive text input dictionary.
How do I do that? I tried using the Settings -> Restore factory settings menu option, but it does not reset the dictionary and remove the extra words/punctuations.
Thanks a lot!
Rohan.

Hello all,
You've read the title. Now why is the translations in Chinese? How can I convert them to English? Can anybody here help me?
Quite unpleasing for other regions, but still not possible unless Nokia release an English definition pack for it.
Why not get a mobile java dictionary instead? There are many of those, just google it.
