Condition Type becoming inactive in IPC

Hi All,
Could someone please explain why a pricing condition using a custom condition formula causes the pricing condition to be inactive when viewed through the IPC.
Thanks,
AYeung

Hi,
I think routine should not be the reason. Go to the item level in GUI, slect the condition type and click on magnfying glass. if you scroll down, you will see "Reason inactive" or "inactivation reason" or soemthing similar. It may be because of one of the following reasons:
A     Condition exclusion item
K     Inactive due to calculation basis/shipping material type
L     Condition exclusion header or inactive at header level
M     Inactive due to manual entry
T     Inactive at header level
W     The document item is statistical
X     Inactive Via Formulas or Incorrect
Y     Inactive because of subsequent price
Based on this information will you be able to do further analysis.
Hope this helps.

  • Inactive conditions (Type Y - Inactive because of subsequent price)

    Hi all
I have a curious case that seems to be unexplained...
The inactive conditions of type Y
When are the condition types deemed inactive if type Y ??
There was no entries maintained in the condition records upon the existing entry or the entry existing was not changed. There are no exclusions maintained for the condition type as well. The condition type that I am using here is of the condition class A (discounts/surcharges).
The condition is inactive at the document level of type Y.
However, when I check the status information of the condition type, I find the message "Condition is active"
Kindly provide me pointers to resolve the overlying issue.
    Thanks in advance
    Vinodh S

It could be due to two reasons
    1)  Please note that If both the condition types has a Condition Class as B  (Prices) only one pricing condition in the lowest level ( step number ) will be active and rest are made inactive by the system. This is a standard behavior.  So If you have two condition types with same condition class, you may need to change the first one to be a discount or surcharge in V/06
    2)  Next go to IMG Path -- SD --> Basic Functions --> Pricing --> Pricing Control --> Define Pricing By Item Category --> Activate pricing for item categories.    There check you have maintained "X" for your item category under the tab "Pricing" and blank against "Statistical value".

  • Sales Order Pricing - Condition Type:PR00 inactive

    Hi
In Sales Order Item level pricing, condition type PR00 become inactive.  It shows reason : Inactive via formulae of incorrect.
Sales Order is partially delivered & billed.  For remaining deliveries, system not allowing for billing, showing sales order is incomplete.
Condition Type PR00 maintained manually.  Order quantity changed several times.
    Please guide me on this.

    Dear Umasankar
Check in VK12 for the material whether the From To Date is maintained for current period.
Also go to  V/08 and check your pricing procedure whether any invalid account key is defined.

  • How to set a condition type to inactive/statistical during sales order crea

    Hi
There is a manual header condition (Z0L1) in one our pricing procedure which I want to set to inactive or make it statistical during sales order (doc type Z9) creation in some scenarios.
    How can I achieve?
Can I use user exit USEREXIT_PRICING_CHECK (Program MV61AFZA) and what code should I write here. Any help would be highly appreciated
    Regards,
    Javed

Thanks for your replies. Basically this condition type is a manual condition type which will be entered in sales order and then will be available in billing document. But when there is a return order created with reference to that billing document then I want that the manual condition is not deteremined in the return order.
I tried by assigning a requirement to the condition type in pricing procedure but seems to be pricing requirement don't work for manual header conditions. Then I tried to assign a condition value formula and tried to set the value to zero in case of return orders but that also did not work.
Then I also tried to apply the same logic in user exit USEREXIT_PRICING_CHECK  in the following programs
    LV69AFZZ
    MV61AFZA
But still it did not work. Any help would be highly appreciated

  • Statistic Condition Type inactive when duplicated

    Hi gurus,
I wonder if there's any way to make a statistic condition type become inactive when the user inserts another equal one.
    Example:
Here is my procedure: ZP0001 with this condition type ZC01 set statistic.
If I create a new sales order and I insert this condition in the procedure twice, the system does NOT deactivate any of them. It just let them occur at the same time.
If I go like this with a non statistic condition type, then the system deactivate all duplicated types and only remains the last one inserted.
Do you know if this behaviour is possible for statistic condition types in any way?
    Thanks in advance,
    John

    Hi,
a statistical condition type can not be inactive because it is not taken into account in the calculation per definition as statistical.
One more sentence to clarify to the sentence before. It will be inactive but still displayed - as this is the nature of a statistical condition.
So far so good. But I know exactly what your problem is, when your statistical condition type is present twice you would like to surpress the earlier record.
We had a similar requirment once. We had two different statistical condition types which were displayed at the same time.
The requirement was to only display one of the two condition types. When A was present B should not be shown. I tried with condition exclusion but it did not work for statsitical conditions (as they can not be set inactive...). But it worked very good with a pricing requirement we created ourselves.
    Good Luck.

  • Condition type inactive

    hi all,
why condition type is inactive in sales order item level.
when i save invoice it shows error in pricing.
    pls let me know.
    Regards
    Rams

You can get a better idea by going to the sales order at the item level in the condition tab, highlight your condition type and click on Analysis. It will give you an idea why it is inactive.
If it is a price condition type then there must another price condition type below so it is overwriting the first condition type.

  • Discount calculating sum of Active & Inactive Base Price condition type

    Hi,

  • Having 2 condition type discounts show as active in the sales order.

1 condition type discount has value 0%
2 condition type discount has value 31%.
Both are showing green and being active.
once I place a digit intead of the 0%   Ex: 29% then the 2nd condition then becomes inactive and works fine.
What the user would like is to have that 0% as being inactive. Its inactive only when putting a digit greater then 0%. We would like it to be inactive on 0% as well.

    Hey Kookie
I think I gave a bit of a confusing scenerio before. Pretty much in the conditions you can have many condition discounts. But one will be active and all the others then become inactive. If this is the case that 0% should then automatically become inactive as well.
I will give u the config of how it looks in the pricing procedure.
Step 101, Counter 0, condition type Z949, Description Material grp discount, /// Manual, Required, Statistic none of these are checked. Print=X, Requirement 2=item with pricing, condition formula=0, bastype=0, acct key=ers.

  • Pricing Procedure Condition Type EK02

    Dear, Gurus
I have an MTO scenario. All is working I mean from the production order the cost is coming to my sales order in condition type EK02. But that is making all other condition types as inactive.
    current pricing schema
    Pr00 Price it is manual.
Other Z condition types which are also manual.
    Then EK02.
    Gross Sales
    K005
    K007
    Net Sales
    MWST
    ZSED Sales excise duty
    Value after Tax
    VPRS
also, at the top the net value does not change at all it stays constant and seems to pick up the EK02 price.
I want all other condition types to be manual but active even if EK02 price is picked up from Production Order.
How can I set it up to make them all green as active?

Previously all my condition types were manual entry so all were green.
    Pr00   manual
    Zman  manual
    Zsat   manual
    Zetc   manual
Also, in PR00 class is B=Prices       Calc Type = C for qty
All the ZMan, etc is A=discount/Surcharge   calc type=B fixed amount.
To be scenario all I added was condition type EK02 in pricing procedure and by standard it is in class B=prices     calc type=C for qty, and cond cat=costing
When production cost transfer to EK02 lets say example 500. All those previous cond are yellow inactive. and then net price equals 500!
In terms of my terminology and basic understanding you can only have one cond type function as price in class B=prices.
So either the EK02 or the Pr00 needs to have cond type B for Price. If I make the Pr00 a discount/Surcharge nothing changes in respect to updating the price in sales order.  Lets say even if its all corrected and I have lets say EK02 function as price the Zman and Z condition types are under discount surcharge, that at least should not be inactive?
    Please help
    thanks

  • Condition type EK01

    Hi
the status of Condition type is inactive in my item ..
How to activate this condition type..
    Thanks in Advance..

A condition type can be inactive in a transaction for varoius reasons.
    1. Condition exclusion can be reason. Pls check whether this c.type is exclusive of any other c.type in the exclusion procedures.
    2. A condition type can also be inactive if it is configured in pricing procedure as Manual entry only, but a value appears automatically due to presence of condition records.
Pls check in which category, the condition type falls, and do the rectification.
    Reward if this helps.

  • To make the Pricing Condition types inactive in Pricing Procedure

    Hi Experts,
I am facing a senario where, in a sales order, pricing procedure, if one of the pricing condition type does not exist, then two other condition types (even though they are determined by condition records), should be either made inactive or should not appear in the pricing procedure.
Example: If I have 3 condition types in Pricing Proc say
    YYY1, YYY2, YYY3, then the scenarios are
    a. If one of the condition types YYY1 is not determined, then, YYY2 and YYY3 should not be either determined in the sales order or should be made inactive. This same logic applies to both YYY2 and YYY3.
    b. If all three condition types are determined in Pricing Proc of the sales order, then, the price should be considered.
If it was just YYY1 then, I could have done it in VOFM by writing a routine and assigning it to YYY2 and YYY3 in pricing proc. However, the scenario is to check the other condition types as well and make YYY1 inactive if any of the other condition type does not exist. Both condition types are determined after YYY1 which is another difficulty.
I tried creating a dummy condition type  and assigning it to Pricing Proc (at the end of Pricing Proc). For this dummy condition I put in a pricing requirement which checks for all three condition types and if one does not exist, then it make other conitions inactive.
However, this does not work in VA02 and VA03 as XKOMV is either not getting filled up or even if is getting filled, it is not having the condition type. It some times has condition records, and sometimes not... (not very sure why)
So, I was thinking of using user exit for the same. However, I was unable to find a suitable user exit for the same where KONV table can be read or XKOMV can be filled.
Can you please suggest if any user exit can be used for this or if we can implement it in a different way?
    Regards,
    Mukund S

    Hi,
I think you can use condition exclusion functionality to select best pricing condition from a set of conditions in pricing.  You can compare conditions in many ways.
I believe you can plot a solution with little research.  The below link is for your reference.

  • IPC: Condition Types attached to material group

    Hello all,
I am working in a ECC - IPC scenario and needed your help.
I implemented a IPC userexit(scale base formula) which corresponds to a condition type ZDCV which implements a discount for the products.
When this condition type is attached to a material (in tcode vk11), the corresponding discount rates are displayed in the webshop via IPC.
But the problem arises when we attach this condition type to a material group.
In the product catalog of the webshop, the IPC is able to determine discounts for individual materials but not for those materials contained in material group.
Your inputs will be very helpful.
    Thanks and Regards
    Deepika

I think you have to do some logic in that userexit... you have to get the whole quantity of material group and have to pass that value in the scale base formula..
    Thanks and Regards

  • Inactive Condition Types

    Dear Sapients,
I need ur valuable solution in solving an issue. I have created a pricing procedure for domestic sales and in tht some condition types r in inactive mode. I have verified the settings in condition types n also checked the condition records, n its fine as well. I dont know whats the hidden object in this issue. Pls help me in solving this. Advance thanks for all.

hi Can you give more details when u say INACTIVE? what do u mean by inactive?
I have scenario like suppose there are 2 condition types ABCD and WXYZ
Both the Condition Types ABCD & WXYZ are Condition Types related to Price. Both the Condition types will ahve the same Step number with a different counter.
WXYZ is a manual Condition Type and will not have any Access Sequence assigned to it. It can be entered only manually in the Purchasing document.
ABCD is an Automatic Condition type and an Access Sequence will be assigned to it. whenever a Condition record is maintained, then it will be updated in the document with the price from the Condition Record.
If there is no Valid Condition record founds, then ABCD will not be included and you can enter WXYZ manualy.
(i belive you mean condition type is not appearing / considered in calculation in pricing procedure thought it is maintained and having condition record)
still you think this information is not sufficient, then you can check CONDITION EXCLUSION for the condition type is which is INACTIVE
Alos, possibility is that there is Requirment assgined to condition type which is not getting fulfilled hats why not shoing condition type in pricing procedure
