Conditional activity in Recruiter role

Dear All,
I am implementing e-recruitment. The client's requirement is to allow creating a specific activity only if certain condition is met.
The condition is the response (YES /NO) of a question that candidate filled during the application.
For Example the question is: Have you ever worked in ABC Company? 
If candidate says YES or NO during the application wizard its stored in questionnaire table.
Now on the candidate assignment list during the applicant tracking when recruiter selects this candidate and wants to create a certain activity say "XYZ", system should stop it if candidate response was NO and allow it in case of YES.
your consideration would be highly appreciated as I really need a solution very urgently.

Hello Chohan,
currently there is no option to restrict the creation of an activity in the described way. In fact there is no way at all to have a logical restriction on activity maintenance. There is only an authorization object which allows to restrict the activity maintenance on activity type level.
SAP is currently working on a concept for allowing dependencies between activities but I am not sure if it will be flexible enough to cover your specific requirement.
To at least improve the process I can imagine to create the activity automatically in planned status via workflow if it is obligatory. So the recruiter only has to continue the work and not create new ones. You could also use the enhancement concept of the candidate selection list to add a column with the information. Both solutions will not prevent a recruiter from intentionally creating the activity for a candidate for whom he should not create it but the additional service or information can reduce errornous activities.

    I think you have reached the state of finding the USER to ROLE relationship
    Take the output to an excel,
    COPY just the roles column exactly in order do not rearrange , use AGR_1251 like other experts have mentioned
    insert the roles copied from you buffer and execute, the output will have multiple entries for each role take the output to an EXCEL again , make it unique and match the outputs between both the EXCELS.
    It will be a little tricky to do this, but I think you are proficient in MS EXCEL.
    This is one of the ways to do , there are many other ways to do it.

  • Error while accesing requisition from recruiter role in portal

    Dear Experts ,
    When we are trying to access *requisition in recruiter role in portal it is showing you are not authorized to perform this applcation. Can you pleae suggest me what will be the problem.
    For clarity we are having EHP4 , and the portal nw7.1 , we have assigned SAP _ALL to the user we are testing and in portal we had assigned super admin , recruiter , recrutiment administrator.

  • Requisition for approval using - Restricted Recruiter role

    Hi,
    We have implemented SAP eRec EHP4. As of EHP3 the restricted recruiter was only able to create requesition in Draft mode and release the requisition for approval.
    We are using WD on SAP EHP4. We have provided SAP_RCF_RES_RECRUITER_ERC_CI_2 role in R3 to one of the user and Recruiter role on the portal. But when I try to create a requisition and try to release it, it gets released instead of going for approval......
    What have we done wrong.....Is there some other way by which the requisition can be sent for approval in EHP4......

    In the meantime I was testing the BSP application since I had to give a demo to the client.....Here I could run the workflow, but when I launch the recruiter "approval" page it gives me an error

  • Recruiter Role 1.40: Missing Services Tray & Service Map in EP

    Hi everyone
    we're implementing SAP E-Recrruiting EHP 4 (SP04). We did some basic customizing in backend and installed Recruiter 1.40 and Recruiting Administrator 1.40 BPs on portal side.
    After assigning portal roles to users, on first sight everything looks OK. But compared to other installation, there is no Service Map and no Services tray on the left side of recruiter role. Service map iView is also missing in portal content of the role.
    The "create requisition" button in the Dashboard leads to error "iView not found".
    Calling the preview for "create requisition" from portal content works as it should.
    I created a service map iView manually and attached it to the recruiter role. Now I'm able to use all the functions in there w/o any problems! Created requisitions are shown in Dashboard for example.
    SLG1 is (just) logging errors resulting from attempted searches in the Recruiter Dashboard. As TREX customizing isn't done, one can expect this to happen.
    What are we missing? Is there some basic setup missing on portal side we forgot about?

    When I log on as recruiter role, want to find the appliction to use "candidate overview" and "application", but i failed.

    You should open the Recruiter Dashboard on WD version, WD: ERC_A_WORKCENTER.
    On BSP version you have the BSP hrrcf_recruiter. From there you have all the information.

         With EHP 3 Recruiter role is still in BSP Technology , EHP 4 onwards recruiter role is coming on WD ABAP there are slightly changes has come with EHP 3 in Recruiter role like
    1. Changes in Requisition Process.
    Here customers can hide the "Positions", "Organizational Unit and Job", and "Account Assignment" tabstrips in the"Organizational Dat container item through flexibilization customizing.
    2.Check Duplicate Candidateis
    Feature introduces a BusinessAddIn (BAdI) that allows companies to define which criteria they wish to use to determine whether a candidate has a duplicate application in the database. This check is only performed on non-registered external candidates. The fallback mechanism to check for duplicates is first name, last name, and e-mail address.
    3. dashbord for Recruiter.
    This function introduces a new dashboard for managers and recruiters. The dashboard shows new questionnaires that still need to be completed or questionnaires that have already been completed. The user can complete questionnaires directly from the dashboard itself.
    and with EHP4 onwards all services in E-Recruitment will be on WD ABAP.

    Requirement - Do we have an option to restrict the queries in recruiter 'active queries list' (work center) based on roles.
    for example: Restricted recriter should not be allowed to view Back ground checks query. and Talent Groups query.

    Hello,
    You can check out transaction POWL_QUERYR. Through this you can specify the roles to be assigned to the role. Through transaction POWL_QUERYU you can even specify the roles to be assigned for a specific user. You can copy the specific roles required and assign them to the roles. Any role which is not assigned to specific role will appear to all the roles that have authorization to the workcenter object.

    We have EREC on a standalone system (ERD 100). HR ECC is another system (ECD 300), Enterprise portal in another system (EPD 100).
    we are on EHP 5, EREC 605, Support Pack 7.
    We have activated the single sign on mechanism.
    I have following queries regarding role authorizations on EREC in  standalone model.
    1) We have standard reference users  such as recruiter, manager, decision-maker, data entry clerk, rec.admic etc;  the" RCF_RECRUIT, RCF_MANAGER, RCF_CAND_INT, RCF_DATA_TYP" etc, Should this reference users be created both in EREC & HR system or only in EREC system ?
    2) If the "RCF_XXXX" reference users roles are supposed to be created only in EREC system, how to assign reference user roles to employees whose master data is in HR System. ?
    3) Can support teams concept help for mass authorizations? Can someone elaborate on the support team, support group concepts ?

    Just  expanding my query on the 2nd point regarding assigning Reference users like manager, recruiter to certain employees :
    Example: Say I have Emp. No 20003000. He is an hiring manager, In HR System,  IT105, subtype user id is "20003000".
    To assign RCF_MANAGER reference user role to user id 20003000, should i have to recreate the userid in EREC system as well and assign it in SU01 for this user id.
    Would like to take your comments.

  • Internal error while clicking on Candidate search from Recruiter role-EHP4

    We are getting intrnal error while clicking on candidate search or any search option from recruiter log on after upgrading to EHP4.
    after doing analysis through SLG1, we found below issues.

    We searched in SDN and got one threads with similar kind of errors. As mentioned in the thread, we have activated below items.
    1. HCM_ERC_SES_1-activated
    2. Customizing table T77RCF_SPT maintained with required information
    3. Run report RCF_PERIODICAL_SERVICES to update table T77RCF_INT_PUB.
    Still we are getting error as mentioned above. Can anybody help on this?

    Dear Purnima,
    You should have a look at it in client 000. This is where you can find the table entries how they are shipped with SAP. Problem is that this is the search customizing and if we have other customizing entries in our system they don't suit to your system because I found one different entry in table V77RCF_SMG_NAVI. Please can you check out all tables and compare them with your client 000? (all tables in IMG candidate search > search profile and search templates).

    Now you have created your own roles, you need to create URL iviews calling the E-Recruiting applications in your portal then it should work.

  • IDM bug (?) regarding activation date on roles

    Assigning a Role with Activation and Deactivation Dates to a user gives me the error described below. I have made tests in both IDM 8.004 and IDM 8.1 and the error is the same.
    Could you help me by telling if any of you has experienced a similar behaviour. Is this an IDM bug ?

  • In-activating an existing role for a created BP

    Thank you for the reply.
    The role required is Vendor and sold to party was wrongly assigned. Because of this, in the classification tab, customer option is getting marked and in the process this bp is getting all the access and rights as a customer too which should be restricted. Hence it is effecting the process even with out any relationship. If a program only is the solution, can u also suggest what kind of program can correct this.

  • How to define role approver/owner - through condition id in ERM 10.0

    We have created a BRF + rule for Role approver with Business Process & Function area by giving the Result value as Condition ID eg., Z001
    We have provided this condition ID Z001 - in Role Owners table [Under Set Up- Role Owners] and defined the role approver and assignment approver with the User details.
    Now when we are trying to create a role with the above attribute combination of Business Process & Function area - the role is not picking up the Role Owners automatically in Owners/Approver tab [In 5.3 we can maintain approval criteria where we can define the role owners/approvers based on different attributes].
    Are we missing any configuration setting here for auto pick up of Role Owners based on defined attributes from Role Owner table.

  • Document Count when Condition is Active

    Hi Experts
    I have the following scenario
    I have a Calculated Key Figure which by formula variable *1 calculates the number documents.
    The count works correctly as it gives me the proper count of the documents that make up the amount on that line. Let suppose it was 180 documents and that 175 of these have amount =0.
    However after applying a condition that would not display the records whose amount = 0, I would expect the count to change to 5,  but still gives me 180.  The document number is not a field in the default view of the report.  If I bring the docuemnt number with my condition active, it displays the 5 reports.  Puts a one in the counter and the result row display 5.
    If document number is not in the view, I get 180 when its supposed to be 5. 
    Am I missing a setting on the Calculated Key Figure.  I have calculate single values as Total, I have reference characteristic: Document Number, and the CKF has Aggregation: After

    But what I am really looking for is an unique document number counter.
    I have several records (updates, etc.) that roll up in the document level to make up my amount.
    I dont want a record count.  I want a document number counter that will work when the condition is applied.
