Conectar dos monitores a ThinkCentre M73 SFF

Hola, tengo una duda, Si quisiera conectar dos monitores a mi thinkcentre m73 sff, ¿serviría comprar un adaptador display port > VGA y conectar un monitor a la entrada normal VGA y el otro al adaptador?,¿el pc va a enviar señal a los dos monitores? Saludos

in most cases with onboard graphics you can adjust the amount or ram used in the bios, but not with this thing.

[M73-SFF] - multiple sleep mode problems

My new ThinkCentre M73-SFF will not enter into sleep mode. It also will not stay in sleep mode when I manually put it into sleep mode. It regularly would go into sleep mode when I first purchased it but not so now. I have searched on the net but cannot find any solutions. I have disables the screen saver thinking this was a problem but it did not solve the problem. Anyone know of a solution?

THANK YOU @someotherguy for explaining the problem. This solved all my issues, also for a newly bought laptop. The more recent Windows 7 updates solve the issue by subsuming the fingerprint manager update under the system updates. I know this because it's definitely a different version of fingerprint manager from when I first bought the device last week.
Nevertheless, this is far more useful and informative than the helpdesk chat support personnel I spoke to.

Information on ThinkCentre M73

I'm looking at a ThinkCentre M73 SFF part number 10B7S09S00. It has a G3220 3.0 GHz processor and 2GB of RAM. I've been trying to find a specific manual for this product but all the models seem glommed together in one manual. If anyone has one of these, how do you like it? What op system did this originally come with? How many sata ports are there? Does it have USB 3.0? Does it have a HDMI port?

Update regarding Flash Player "kill-bit"
As of Flash Player version 10.3, the "kill-bit" is now automatically removed by the Flash Player installer.

ThinkCentre M73 Restarts When I Shut It Down

Here's a strange one. My ThinkCentre M73, Windows 8.1, just purchased last week, restarts after I shut windows down. And it's not because I click the "Restart" button. When I click Shut Down, it shuts down, and then in about 3 seconds it starts up again. Any ideas?

Thanks for the hint. I could not find any wake checkbox on the network adapter configuration, but I have a "Wake" set up in Windows Home Server 2011 when it tries to back it up. I will check that and let you know. Thanks.

ThinkCentre SFF wireless networking?

Hi,
I have a ThinkCentre Edge 72 SFF. It doesn't come with wireless networking installed, so I've been using a small USB dongle. The dongle is hopeless, though. What should I add/install to the PC to get better, more reliable wifi access? (The problem is not with the router signal, as other gadgets pick it up fine, all round the house.)
Any advice would be v much appreciated, thanks!

I have always considered Cisco to be the best at networking, and by extension Linksys, after they were bought by Cisco and their technology migrated down.
With a SFF, you'll need a Low Profile capable PCI card, if you go that route. This one is.

This particular wireless adapter is also sold, therefore supported on their systems, by HP and Dell. Lenovo sells some Cisco Aironet products, which are corporate focused and expensive, while Linksys is small business and home focused, and more affordable.

desearía saber que necesito para poder conectar un segundo monitor (concretamente un ASUS VH226H ) a mi IMAC de 21.5" (lleva 2 puertos Thunderbolt)

Éste es un caso un poco confuso, porque he visto gente que ha podido utilizar el iMac como monitor para un PC y otra que no.
Para empezar, Apple dice que todos los iMacs con puertos Thunderbolt y los iMacs de 27 pulgadas pueden ser usados como monitores para otros Macs > http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11302
Sin embargo, no dice nada sobre PCs. En el caso de los iMacs con Thunderbolt (iMacs de mediados de 2011 y finales de 2012), solamente pueden ser usados como monitor para otros Macs con Thunderbolt, por lo que no puedes utilizarlos con un PC. Esto es debido a que no puedes usar uno de los adaptores de Mini DisplayPort con este iMac si quieres usarlo como monitor (sin embargo, esto sí funcionaría en el caso de querer conectar una pantalla externa al iMac).
En el caso de un iMac con Mini DisplayPort, más de lo mismo, porque el PC debe tener un conector Mini DisplayPort o DisplayPort, muy limitado y que probablemente no tendrá tu PC

Para monitorear un PLC con LabVIEW, tienes dos opciones.
1) Compra el servidor OPC para el PLC que quieres utilizar y usa DataSocket para comunicarse con este servidor. En este caso, LabVIEW es un cliente OPC. Para mas informacion:

Conectar dos WD TV a un mismo disco duro

Buenas tardes, tengo un Western Digital WDBYMN0000NBK-HESN conectado a un disco duro de 5TB. Recientemente adquiri otra unidad WD TV similar y quisiera saber si existe la posibilidad de conectar las dos unidades WDTV al mismo disco duro y poder asi reproducir archivos distintos en televisores distintos. Si existe. Ambos equipos deben estar bajo el mismo Grupo de Trabajo y tener diferente Nombre del dispositivo (WDTVLive1 - WDTVLive2 - WDTVLive3 - ...). El disco duro externo puedo ir conectado a cualquiera de los puertos USB de uno de los WDTVLive y este debe estar siempre encendido o en stand by, no puede estar Off, para que pueda ser accesado por el otro WDTVLive. Por favor, una vez hagas todo, das el caso por cerrado (Accept as Solution), para que otros miembros del Foro se enteren que tuviste solución a tu inquietud y señala la respuesta que más te orientó. En caso contrario, regresa al Foro y comentas qué sucedió (Reply).

ThinkCentre M82 SFF More Hard Drives

I'm trying to figure out my options for adding additional internal storage for my M82 SFF.
Idea #1
I've read about someone using a dual 2.5" bay in place of the original internal 3.5 drive.Lenovo Forums #1 (see second post) along with power and data splitting cables(?).
Idea #2
Replace the CDR/R drive with a dual 2.5" hotswap bay. I'm not knowledgeable on which power and data cables can be split off of a motherboard.
My question here is for someone who knows about this kind of hardware more than I do. I'm looking for links to specific hardware that will fit inside a M82 SFF ThinkCentre.
Can either of these 2 ideas work? Can both?

I was able to come up with a workaround for these mounts using a couple of flat washers and 6-32 screws from older hp computers (the ones under the faceplate are too short, motherboard ones 'might' be long enough). Just stack 2-3 washers (depending on thickness) and screw 'em down.
Making it work is not an issue, just would be nice to have the proper hardware
The original screws have to come from somewhere, would be nice to find to find out who hp's supplier was for these, which is probably what those ebay sellers were able to do. Either that, or they have been scavenged from decommissioned computers.

My desktop (M73 SFF) keeps power down and restart while playing games

I bought M73 small form factor with Intel core i5-4570 and 4GB RAM with integrated video in Sep. 2014.
Recently, it keeps being shut down while playing game (starcraft 2).
Is this related to hit sink issue? graphic? or both?
How do I fix this problem? Should I replace hardware?

Probably heat related. You can monitor the temps using Hwmonitor or SpeedFan. Your BIOS may have a fan setting, that you can adjust for better cooling performance (acoustic performance is the default.) And check that your BIOS and drivers are up to date, using Lenovo System Update, including the optional ones.

No se si a nivel de BIOS puedes configurar un horario de apagado y encendido.
Yo uso un programa para realiizar un apagado programado yo uso el programa "AMP WinOFF", tiene multitud de opciones y funciona perfectamente en Windows 7 y 8. Ademas es Freeware.
