  • Best adapter for a Motorola HS-850 bluetooth headset

    Hello,
I just purcahsed a Motorola HS-850 Bluetooth headset for my cell phone, and wanted to use it to make skype calls aswell. What are my choices for a USB bluetooth adapter (dongle)??? I would prefer something that isn't the D-link (far to expensive) but works just as well. Im not really sure what to go for?

The D-Link DBT-120 is the only adapter officially supported by Apple, with firmware updates etc. So if you want to guarantee the best compatibility with your Mac, that's the one to get. Try eBay if you want to save some cash.
Buying a cheaper one may be a false economy, because if you do have problems, you'll end up having to buy another one anyway.

  • How do I get my Motorola S10-HD bluetooth headset to work with the iPhone5?

My excellent Motorola S10-HD bluetooth headset worked fine with my 4S but I can't get it to even be recognized by my new iPhone5...does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Try resetting the sd10-hd .  That solved my problem. I was able to pair with my iPhone 5.
Follow this link to instruction to reset the s10-hd, https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/prod_answer_detail/a_id/ 59350/p/1422,2690,7709
Essentially hold down the + and 0 (power button) until the LED turns blue. Then power off the headset and power on.  Put the iPhone in discoverable mode and they should now sync.

  • Universal Bluetooth headset-deskphone adapter?

Looking for a solution that will let me use a Bluetooth headset with iPhone and my office phone.
(Complication: the office phone is a Cisco IP phone, not analog line.)
I know of the Plantronics "Voyager 510 USB" with Bluetooth adapter, which is said to enable their 510 headset to be used with both cell phones and desk phones, including the Cisco IP phone.
    http://www.plantronics.com/northamerica/enUS/products/cat6180084/cat6180085/prod5530003
But that locks you into a Plantronics headset (I don't believe the adapter works with non-Plantronics headsets).
Is there a product out there that does the same thing but is not tied to any one headset vendor?
I've searched over the Internet and have found nothing else that is said to work with Cisco IP phone.
    Any ideas?

I was in the same boat as you, and I bought a Jabra A7010 Bluetooth Hub. I got it from DealExtreme for somewhere in the ballpark of $50, and it took about 2 weeks to get to Texas from Hong Kong.
I've been very happy with it so far. It works with several different bluetooth headsets that I've tried, and if you use a Bluetooth 2.0 headset, the iPhone and the Jabra hub will both stay connected to the headset quite nicely. I've also used it with the good ol' Plantronics 510, but I'm having reconnection issues with that headset and the iPhone. (It works great with the Jabra box though... it effortlessly reconnects after going out of range.)
You can also get the handset lifter for that hub, which adds ring detection capability, for $30ish.

  • Motorola HT820 Stereo Bluetooth Headset

I seems unable to connect successfully the HT820 to my iBook G4.
I'm able to hear mono sound with alot of static noise.
Are there any way for me to connect successfull to this HT820?
    Note:
My bluetooth software/firmware is version 1.6.2.
Any Help rendered is greatly appreciated.

As far as I know you can't. Like me you will have to wait until Apple releases an update to its Bluetooth stack unless a third party produces the goods. This is one area where the Windows world is ahead. It probably not only needs the additions to the protocol stack but some support may be required in the firmware of the Bluetooth controller as well.

  • HT204368 is the MOTOROLA Roadster 2 Universal Bluetooth In-Car Speakerphone compatible with the Iphone?

Is the MOTOROLA® Roadster 2 Universal Bluetooth In-Car Speakerphone compatible with the Iphone?

Roadster 2 does NOT work well with the iPhone 5  s, has to be unlocked for Seri to work. An older Motorola blue tooth device the T 325 does work fine, speaker is not as great as the Roadster. It is cheaper and simpler. Verizon, who sold me the iPhone and Roadster does not seem to know this, I'll be returning the Roadster ASAP. This was the second unit Verizon sold me, the first only announced the number calling and could not access my contacts.

  • Can't get MacBook Pro to recognize Motorola H500 Bluetooth headset

    Hello all,
I am trying to get my MacBook Pro to recognize a Motorola H500 Bluetooth headset. Bluetooth is ON and "discoverable" on my mac. When I go to system preferences and click "bluetooth", then "devices", the headset won't show up (it is turned ON). I tried clicking "Set up new device..." and won't work either.
Any tips on how i can make this work?
    Thanks a lot!

You need to put the H500 into discoverable mode:
    turn it off
hold "call button" for 5 seconds or until the sold blue circle light appears
now go do the bluetooth set up on your Mac....your H500 will show up and then just click thru continue....

I recently upgraded from an iPhone 4s to an iPhone 5.  I have a Motorola HX550 Bluetooth Headset which worked flawlessly with the iPhone 4s.  However, since upgrading to the iPhone 5, I frequently lose audio when in the middle of a call.  I am not certain whether it is a full disconnect or just an audio loss.  The person on the other end reports still being able to hear me, however, I suppose they could hear me speaking over another source even if bluetooth disconnected. The loss of audio is always preceded by a quick shrill noise, so I can easily tell when it happens.  All I have to do to fix the problem is to select Audio Source on the call screen, temporarily switch audio back to the iPhone, and then switch back to the headset, and then it starts working again.
Is is important to note that I am not the only one experiencing this issue:
This is a link to someone using the Motorola H19txt headset experiencing the same issue
    https://forums.motorola.com/posts/94ac15ad7c
If you go to the Plantronics website and look at the "Ratings and Reviews" on the Voyager Legend you will see the same issue reported:
http://www.plantronics.com/us/product/voyager-legend (next paragraph is taken from the review since there is no direct link to the review.
Really nice Headset unless you own an Iphone 5. I own several Plantronics headsets and have always loved the quality/ performance. This headset seems not to be compatible with the new Iphone 5. In the middle of a conversation it will lose all incoming audio. This leaves you trying to switch audio sources really fast in order not to lose your phone call. Ive tried 3 legend headsets and they all do the same thing. Hopefully this gets fixed soon because the headset is really nice
Since this issue appears to affect multiple headsets from multiple vendors, I think it is fair to conclude that it is an issue with the iPhone5 bluetooth itself.
I am posting this as a new discussion as I don't see any other posts specific to this iPhone 5 Bluetooth issue.  I would have reported this as a problem to Apple, but don't seem to be able to find a way to do this on the web.  Hopefully they are already aware, but if not, maybe they will see i here.

here is an interesting thing: take the iphone and set lock screen to never. Now make an email with siri--be sure to activate her with call button. get to the body and get some text in there. then just stop talking. LOCK SCREEN APPEARS!!!!!! and of course you draft is gone.
There does seem to be a work around for some--maybe all these issues. Don't use the call button--use the buttons on the phone.
Siri seems to behave properly with scenerio above---sans call button. She does not go to lock.

Is BlackBerry HS300 Bluetooth Headset universal? Will that or any other Blackberry bluetooth work with Samsung?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

it should pair with it, there might be some advanced features that wont work but the basic ones should be fine.
i used an HS 500 on a samsung A 358 ( i think it was the model) and it worked very well for calls.

  • Motorola Hz800 Bluetooth headset shorts out MBA Bluetooth Module when plugged into MBA USB port for charging

This is the weiredest thing.  Everything is fine with my MBA, I have an apple bluetooth keyboard and mouse running smoothy then I plug in my Motorola HZ800 bluetooth headset using a USB to mico USB cable to my MBA to charge it and BAM! I get a the bluetooth logo with a sawtooth wave through it.  It shuts down the bluetooth module completely. I have to restart the computer to bring back the bluetooth module to life. And now my keyboard won't pair again, but that's a whole other issue.  Any reason why this would be?  Thanks.

Yes.  USB ports are limited to a maximum of 500 ma of current.  Check the current rating on the charger for your headset.  It is probably higher than 500 ma.  It overloads the port forcing it to shut down.

  • Does this Work With Iphone? MOTOROLA S9 BLUETOOTH HEADSET

I have heard that this works with Iphone? MOTOROLA S9 BLUETOOTH HEADSET ...does anyone know if it truly does or do you all know of a headset (over the head or behind the neck) one that does?
< Edited by Host, for your protection, no personal information please. >
    Thanks
    Bill

I was in a wireless store when I inquired to a manager about this product (S9 Motorola Bluetooth Wireless Headset), and asked if it worked with both the iPod and phone capabilities of my iPhone....to which this manager replied that she knew for a fact that she had read on the apple support forums that this product did, in fact work with both music and phone functionality, once paired.
I believe now that she was using this tactic to make more apple-endorsed-sales of this headset, and therefore get more commissions for her store. I mean every employee in the store was wearing them and toting that they worked flawlessly when asked, it was disgusting now that I think of it.
I called the store back up and asked to speak to that manager again, and she maintained that what she read was in fact true, even when I told her that I found that the iPhone does not currently support this headset's bluetooth technology, and that possibly what she read was that once paired the headset works with the phone part of the iPhone but not the iPod part.....she railed that she was correct and that what she read supported both, in spite of all evidence to the contrary, here on apple's support forums.
I think that wireless company employees with a new product that they cannot officially confirm compatibilities, should not go unchecked for spreading misinformation, merely to promote sales for walk-ins...its really terrible, especially on the biggest day of the shopping year and all the hype already created and money put into incentives to rush sales.
Don't believe the hype. Even the phone capability of the S9 headset is not stereo for the iPhone. Really not worth over a $100 for this kind of minor functionality.

  • Motorola Bluetooth Headset H500 Soft Touch Black, lost in confusion.

Hi, I have a friend who gave me his old Motorola Bluetooth Headset H500 Soft Touch Black unfortunately he doesn't have any of the manuals or software that came with it because it was lost somewhere deep in piles of junk in his garage...
Anyways I'm wondering if there is a way to get it to be recognized with my MacBook. I believe he formerly used it on his cell phone. When I have my Mac search for Bluetooth devices however it doesn't find any.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
