Conf calls
just wanted to know how many calls can u make i called three peeps and was able to merge them all this freakn phone is great
While this is a great feature, you should be aware that if you conference with five people, you will be using up 5 minutes from your plan for every one minute of conversation. This is not to be negative on AT&T. I think all the cell phone companies do it this way.

UC 320 - Call Conf Call Xfer; Hook Flash
Need to perform a "Call Conf Call Xfer" when inbound caller selects an option that dials an external number. I cannot afford to tie up two lines. This is a small office phone system solution and needs to support the needs of a small business.
At the very least the support for dial strings within Ext dial boxes.
Example: ! = Hook/flash , = pause H = Hangup
Call comes into AutoAttendent. Caller chooses 1 which calls dials external number.
Dial string looks like this. !,,800number,,!,H
this would hook flash the line, Pause, dial the number, Pause to wait for dialing, hook flash back to orginal caller (conf), wait to ensure call is connected, hang up.
Doesn't make sense that you have to use a 2nd line. 15 and 20 year old phone system support this, but Cisco can't get their heads out of the sand and reconize the importance here.
With all the business that have calls routed to call centers or answering services for after hours calls this would be welcome feature/fix.
Here's my main beef. Let's say you have a business that forwards calls to an answering service after hours. I have 4 FXO lines.
Call one comes in and is routed to the answering service on line 2, then a 2nd call comes in on line 3, and that call is rounted to the answering service on line 4.
Better yet.... Business has 4 FX0 lines. During business hours calls are coming in all the time. Auto Attendent picks up. Caller hears, "To make a payment by CC press 1". UC 320 transfers the call to the external number of the CC payment company. Again 2 of the 4 lines are used. To make matters worse, the 4th line is a DiD only to the business owner and isn't part of the normal business line options. So really once the first call comes in and wants to pay by cc that's the only customer that can.
I can go on and on about why this feature is needed, but I think you get the point.Kevin,
here you go
I am plugged into fa0/1/0, a second or two after I plug in I loose the link light
We have another UC 540 on the same subent, I am plugged into a POE trunked switcch port on a cisco ESW-540-24p, the switch is not reporting any errors....
Thanks for any help

I'm trying to set up an ATA 186 so that we can integrate it with our Polycom VCS. The ATA is set up as an SCCP device, and works fine as an analog line. What I need to do though, is set it up to use the BellCore mid-call service, as this seems to be the most "standard" way of initiating a conf call. Thus far I'm having no luck with the params to use to do this. Has anyone done this, and could you share any insite?
Thanks,
AlanThe ATA is limited to do 3 party conference call. ATA can support conference call. Please look at section 6.6 of EDCS-148811 for detail instructions.

Always worked fine, clicked the link from the FB TPP page, got in (was thru google free conf), was able to see the power point for a couple of minute the got booted out, could not get back in. Ever since, my FB page (only rest of internet browsing looks fine) looks as if it were running in safe mode & IP is out of NJ. My computer began to act odd and required to be reset to earlier point.
Try to uninstall the appbario13 10.20.1.508 extension that show in the System Details List.

Conference calling codes not picked up
I am using a 800 # conference calling service which worked fine on my Droid Thunderbolt. Just upgraded to Samsung Gal III. Now I get in to the service using the 800 number, but the conf calling service does not pick up the conference ID 10 digits and #, just says I dialled an incorrect conference ID number. It jumps to this message even before I complete the code sometimes.
Any setting to enable secondary numbers after connecting to a call?
Thanks.Hello Armynova,
Thank you for reaching out about this issue. Conference calls are super important in the business world and rest assured that we are dedicated to getting this resolved for you. May I ask what software version do you have on the Galaxy S III? Also, when you press the number key to enter the conference ID, do you hear the DTMF tone? If not then please advise so we can partner together and implement a solution for you.
Thank you…

Custom / New Softkey for Instant Conference Call
Hello all, I have just started working with VOIP in the last few months at a new position, and the manager her wants to have a custom button on the phone when in a call that will automatically conference in the security desk. This would be in the event of a malicious call such as a bomb threat and so forth. I have downloaded the SDK and read through most of the documentation and I have seen references to things such as
Dial:2000 (where 2000 represents the number to be dialed)
in the Custom SoftKey section of the IP Phone Services Application Development Notes.
I appreciate any help provided.
PS the Phone that I am using is a 7970.7970 has 8 speed dial buttons and you could assign an IP phone service to one of the speed dials. PhoneTop Messenger allows you to send a pre-typed text message to a pre-configured IP phone group. For example, you can send a text message (with an optional ringer) to all security phones when user presses one of the speed dials (which is assigned to this IP phone service). It is really a one-step process. You could also initiate an audio page as well, which is effectively the same as a conference call. In fact, it may be better than a conf. call as recipients do not need to pick up/answer the phone to hear the audio and it tells them who is initiating the page.

External callers cannot connect to conference call
Hello to anyone that can help. The situation I have is that we switched to SIP trunk direct connect to our Mediation server and since have not been able to connect PSTN calls to a conference call. The person dials in and is told they are being connected
and then a few seconds later they are told Sorry I can't seem to connect you to the conference. This worked before the phone vendor change. The new phone vendor is telling me that everything looks okay on their end and their Lync server is not having this
issue. They are citing the reason for the call failure is because our Lync server is sending a call re-invite even though nothing about the call has changed. I have seen this in the pcap and in snooper. The lync server connects the call, and then sends a re-invite
when it tries to connect the external call to the conf call. The reason for the failure is a 100 trying then a 503 from the vendor's gateway. This appears to be normal behavior, but the vendor states that when their Lync server connects a conf call it does
not send a re-invite to the gateway.
The environment is Lync server 2013 Fe and Mediation server configured with two network interfaces. One to the SIP provider and another to our internal network. We also have an edge server. Previous to the change we were using our own SBC connected to two
PRIs for PSTN connectivity. I have decommissioned the paths for the old pstn gateway, but I need it in place for a door phone that we have. The dial plan and voice policy all are pointed to the new pstn gateway. Everything else in Lync works. I can call a
user form a conf call, but they cannot call in. I have seen other people mentioning using snooper to look at the S4 component logs. I am doing that now, but if anyone has any other advice I would appreciate it. The issue appears to be that our Lync server
is sending a re-invite when one is not anticipated and I do not know how to stop it. Refer is turned off.
Thanks!Hi,
1. Check if the Media Gateway is certified by Microsoft with the help of the link below:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dn788945
2. Check if there are any error message on Mediation Server when the issue happen next time.
3. Double check dialin plan on Lync Server Control Panel, make sure all dialin plan are updated.

Recent MCI to Verizon Residential Service conversion - Terrible
Hi Folks,
It is my understanding that Verizon staff members do review the posting here. I hope that this is the case as I would like to share many issues that I have experienced to help improve the process and services offered by Verizon.
First, ALL of the folks that I spoke with were very pleasant on the phone including someone in India! This is about all the good news that I can offer.
Background - Happily using MCI residential services over a number of years with two accounts. MCI worked great and performed all services in a clean and efficient manner.
Forced to leave MCI services and advised via letter that Verizon would pick up in the foot steps of MCI - I also understood that I could select other phone service providers other then Verizon if I choose to. Now I wish I had!!!!!
Typical MCI services that I had:
Caller ID
Call Waiting Caller ID
Three party Conference Call
Caller announce
Speed Dial
Voice Mail
Call Waiting, No Answer Transfer to multiple locations with Caller announce (managed by me the user)
Email Caller ID info (Sent to places I managed i.e. Black Berry - pop mail etc)
Internet Voice Mail pickup & Play - Store
Fast Access to Voice Mail from local phone (Dial 00)
Fast Access to Voice Mail from cell phone
Easily talk to live person for any variety of issues - Trouble - Billing - Competitive discounts - Promotions
Initial conversion to MCI (ALL service available and ready the day of conversion!!!!!!!!
Now the Verizon story and Oh what a story they weave.
Contacted the conversion Team as per the conversion letter TWICE two accounts.
Discussed all of the features that I had with MCI and Verizon's features & price (Did this twice - Two accounts)
Told by Verizon conversion department that 99% of the services are the same - NOT TRUE! Further the services were included in the discounted package (NOT TRUE!)
No date provided for the conversion
Call Waiting Caller ID was not provisioned
Speed Dial is not part of the package - More dollars and wait to have this added after service was turned up
Speed Dial is crippled and not very useful - No pause control so I can not program access number pause pause pause then account code or access number or pin number etc. Most Verizon folks I talked to have no clue as to what pause is in a speed dial string (this concept has been around for over 20 years - What is with Verizon?
Three party Conf call is NOT included in package Additional cost and wait to have this added after service was turned up
Call Waiting, No Answer Transfer to multiple locations (managed by me the user) is not available
Caller announce not part of package
Told that Email Caller ID info (Sent to places I managed i.e. Black Berry - pop mail etc) is not available - Found out from friends that have Verizon service that it is available via Verizon Call Assist
Contacted Verizon one day after orders placed to insure that I would have Verizon Call Assistant - Still waiting a week later - placed over 40 calls to numbers provided by Verizon (pass me on to someone or something else i.e. automated talking systems and 12 hours of on the phone over three days!!!! Most people that I spoke to have no clue what Verizon Call Assistant is, much less getting info or placing order for it - Even though it is FREE and part of service if you like.
Verizon services turned up randomly over the past week - What happened to Your are now on Verizon and your service are ALL available!
Additional note - After holding for almost an hour to connect with a live person in the Verizon Call Assist group - I was advised that the email they offer for Voice Mail deposits Only Indicates that you have a voice mail and does not include any Caller ID info - Since this service is still not turned up I am expressing what I was told. This means I am back to the drawing board - I really need to know who called remotly (IE Black Berry etc) whether they left a VM or not. Time to start looking for a new phone company....
I'm sure I left out a few things here and there.
My frustration level is beyond belief and it's hard to put into words that are acceptable for a forum. @#$%#$%&$^#%^
I use Verizon Wireless and have for many years - They have been top notch so I thought the incumbent wireline provider (Verizon) would have its act together. Boy was I wrong.
I invite any and all responses especially any Verizon folks that really want to do something about these issues - I would be happy to discuss in detail any and all issues presented.
RenJust a thought about Speed Dial - even if there were some way to program in a pause I do not see how this would help you in dialing account numbers or pin numbers because the Speed Dial service does not actually produce call tones but simply enables the user to dial a stored phone number by pressing 1 or 2 digits instead of 10.

Hi,
I sync my 3109 to Outlook over bluetooth (one way to the phone) only for the calendar so I get an alert when I'm away from my PC and don't miss conf calls and meetings.
I'm setup to sync every 15 mins and find that I have to press the "OK" button on the phone when the sync has taken place. Not even the volume control on the phone works until I've done it. It's pretty annoying.
Is there any way to make the sync "silent" on the phone?
Cheers
MarkThe sync process for iTunes content is a one way transfer process only. The only data that is truly synchronized by definition via the iTunes sync process with a supported application on your computer is for contacts, calendar events, Safari bookmarks, notes, and reminders.
The iPhone is not designed or intended to be used as an external hard drive.
Transfer your iTunes library from your old computer to your new computer per the instructions included with this link along with all other important data such as documents, photos, etc.

How do I make the event inspector in Calendar wider?
This appears to have been changed to a fixed width dialog in Mavericks. In the previous iteration, it was at least possible to get some additional width (although this was also limited for some reason.
A lot of corporate environments receive Outlook style meetings with large text fields with web conference links/conf. call numbers, etc. and these are essentially converted into unreadable gibberish by the extremely narrow Mavericks Cal text field....Unfortunately, since Lion, this is not possible in the weay you desire. I have tried, and searched the forums to no avail. I'm sure many have called in and submitted feedback about this issue, but 3 Lion updates later, and the new Mountain Lion OS, have not changed this behavior in Apple Mail.
If you change the font and/or font size, you will not see any change in the new Lion layout. Within the message you are viewing, changing the size of the message font, only makes changes to the "To/From" portion of the header, and not the message itself. Please understand this is if you have Apple Mail set to be viewed in the default Lion layout. If you open Preferences>Viewing, and check "Use classic layout", then you can see all changes to it. Still, it will affect both viewing and composing. There does not seem to be a way to isolate them.

Update 2 tables in 1 mapping fails when using DB link
Hi,
We use OWB10 R2. We have a mapping which should update 2 target tables. 1 table is part of the target schema of the mapping, the other table is located on a different database and is updated through a database link.
What we encounter is that only 1 of the 2 targets is updated.
When removing 1 of the targets in the mapping (does not matter which one) then the target left in the mapping is updated normally.
Is there a problem or restriction on using target tables in a mapping? Should they always be located in the same database? Or is there somethingelse we are overlooking?
Any help is very appreciated.
Regards,
IlonaHi Ilone
When we had a conf call with Oracle regarding one of the issues - they told us that with Oracle 10g R2 it is recommened configuration to have target in the same machine/database as the runtime repository. Apparetnly they haven't tested the situation when the target is on different machine. I was told that it makes more sense to keep runtime and target together as it will reduce network traffic and increase performance coz no data will have to be moved across the network (and aviod using pesky dblinks!). Apparently this recommendation is stated somewhere in thier installation guide. Because it is not supported and tested configuration - they don't know the impact it might have and how it is going to behaive. Some sql might be generated wrongly or the situation you are in...
So we had to change our configuration and now have runtime repository sitting on the target machine and i have maps that load more then one table - no problems at all!
Could you possibly try creating simple map and doing load to two tables on the same db? if this works - then y ou will know the answer.
Hope it helps and would be interesting to know how you get on.

Error in logs when starting server
Hi,
when i am trying to start my app server on sunone. I am getting the following errors in the logs.
CORE1116: Sun ONE Application Server 7.0.0_01
SEVERE: CORE1227: NSS initialization failed: SEC_ERROR_BAD_DATABASE: Problem using certificate or key database: Certificate database: /apps/sunone/sun-appserver7/var/domains/domain1/nicks-8033/config/cert7.db.
Thus any one knows why this error comes. I have installed a SSL certificate on this server. Can it be that this certificate has not been installed properly.
NikhilOk, I finally got it figured out.
I needed the original (to that HTTP Server ) modplsql.dll.
There was no PATH issue.
Once I got the oracle_apache.conf calling plsql.conf and marvel.conf, using the correct DADs, I was all set. I post my solutions to save others some grief.
The original Service Temporarily Unavailable message (Mozilla) was due to the fact that the HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER account was locked after my upgrade.
Along the way, I ran into an access Forbidden error, which was caused by the incorrect password in the DAD.
Two simple things - unlock the HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER acount, and of course make sure the DADs are correct.
And as soon as I can I will be contacting Anton to combine all into one HTTP Server -thanks! -
Cannot Extract Embedded Font in PDF Report Generated Using Crystal Reports XI
The issue is that sometimes the PDF reports generated by Crystal Report XI are not showing the fonts properly. Arial font is used in the Crystal report template(.rpt file) for field label and data elements. When the report is opened in Adobe Reader, it displays the message - "Cannot extract the embedded font 'AAAAAA+ArialBold'. some characters may not display or print correctly." Other PDF Readers like Foxit show blank spaces instead. I tried to change the font to Courier New, Times New Roman etc but still getting the same message.
The issue is consistent when the application is deployed in Windows server. When deployed in Unix server the issue happens very occasionally. The font files are available and installed in the UNIX box.
Please tell me why this error message is shown and also tell me how to get it fixed.Hi Scot
Just replied to your email re. conf call.
In the meantime.
1st question.
Some of our developers are creating the reports under crystal 2008, while some are 2011.
Could this be a problem, when they are run by the SDK?
Should we upgrade all our developers to crystal 2011?
The version of CR a report is created in should not matter at all. I am 100% certain this is not the issue.
2nd question
When the report is run, to create the pdf... why would it actually embed the font on the pdf?
if they weren't embedded.. wouldn't it just pull up the proper font, if the user's pc had that font on their
pc?
if it does the common fonts aren't embedded, we would just have to worry about the things like
barcode 3 of 9
I can not answer this as that essentially is the way the product is designed. It may look like a limitation, but there are no work-arounds and I would not consider this to be a bug. Perhaps an enhancement, but a pretty faint hope there. And even if, enhancements take very, very low priority and take long, long time before implementation.
3rd question
Would the fonts, just need to be installed on the server? we've seen some indication, that they
also need to be in a java sub-directory
The fonts must be on the server as that is where the report engine does it's work, then the report is streamed to the user's browser. E.g.; there is no work done on the browser. Also, the process must have rights to access the fonts.
One last point. You mention deployment to Linux. Linux is not supported. Please see: SAP Crystal Reports, Developer Version for Microsoft Visual Studio - Supported Platforms
I suspect this is more an issue with CR not working with the framework for Linux.

I have a CME system in Italy with a PRI connected. The problem I have is that when dialling out from any of the extensions the last 2 digits of the DDI number are missing. So for example if I dial from +39 02 251655899 the receiving phone only sees +39 02 2516558 on their display. I think this can be rectified by digit translation but I really don't know enough on the subject to work out how. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Cisco Configuration Professional (Cisco CP) is installed on this device
and it provides the default username "cisco" for one-time use. If you have
already used the username "cisco" to login to the router and your IOS image
supports the "one-time" user option, then this username has already expired.
You will not be able to login to the router with this username after you exit
this session.
It is strongly suggested that you create a new username with a privilege level
of 15 using the following command.
username <myuser> privilege 15 secret 0 <mypassword>
Replace <myuser> and <mypassword> with the username and password you want to
