  • FREETALK conference HD camera for Panasonic TVs

would the FREETALK conference HD camera for Panasonic TVs would work with my Panasonic Blu-Ray with Skype built-in?

I would not recommend as I purchased the Panasonic BDT110 blu ray player and freetalk conference webcam combo from the Skype shop and the video does not work on the webcam. I have received zero technical support from either the freetalk manufacturer and was instructed by Panasonic to buy their TY-CC10W webcam.

  • Suggestions for conference room camera?

I realize this is off topic, but the question is indirectly related to the webcam built-in to the Macbook Pro I use for video conferencing.  Short of investing in professional video conference hardware and software, what types of external cameras can be used with GoToMeeting or Skype to simulate a video conference experience.  We are wanting to have a team of people in one meeting location connect with another team of people.  Macbook Pro webcams are difficult to position to get a whole team. I want something does wide angle and is Mac OS X compatible.  Thanks for any suggestions.

  • Conference room microphone for MBP

I run video conferences via GoToMeeting, using iChat to show remote guest speaker on desktop. The venue may be a meeting room or small auditorium. I've been trying to use a wireless mic to input meeting room participants and audience questions, but the audio as uploaded to the internet is very low. Using the "Line In" is no better.
    Any suggestions?

  • ActionScript version for Connect Pro 7?

What AS version does Connect Pro 7 support? I am looking to
write a pod with a library that is written with Flex/AS3. If not,
what future version of Connect will support AS3?
    Thanks!

probably not. but you can download flash 9 alpha (or maybe
it's beta by now) for free. search google for a link.

  • Using Video CAMERA with Connect pro

We reciently purchased this product and were told that it
would work with video cameras. We have a Panasonic that we are
using with vista. this camera works with Premiere Pro, and there is
nothing wrong with it. I know that Connect is not software based it
is an Internet Application. How ever i know that the OS (vista)
"sees" the camera because it works with other programs. Sorry i am
    connecting with IEEE not USB
Has anyone out there in the world has success with getting a
video camera using IEEE connection to work fully. Audio and Video
    coming through the camera?
Is anyon aware of drivers for either the camera or the IEEE?
And if the Connect product does not support this... WTF?
    thanks

Connect does work with IEEE1394 Firewire Cams, just not with
all Firewire Cams. (USB cams also are not all working).
I would suggest to first try out the cam from different
machines with different OSs (Vista might well be the sole issue
here), also try if you can get an ordinary USB cam to work.
If all fails, you can workaround that using a virtual camera
driver, piping the firewire cam into the virtual cam and in Connect
you can load the virtual cam with the image of the Firewire cam.
Not a nice way round, but it would work.
If you google for "Adobe Connect camera compatibility matrix"
you get a "slightly" outdated list of supported cameras.

  • Camera for macbook pro not detecting camera since upgrade to mountain lion

  • Higher end camera for Connect?

I was curious if anyone has had luck or a recommendation getting a higher end camera (non web-cam) to work with Connect? Something like a mid-range consumer hand-held camera or something along those lines. I am using the Cloud version of Connect on Windows PC's. I'd like to have a better quality camera with pan/zoom capabilities that we can mount on a tripod... USB would be preferable, but I believe our connection machine also has a firewire port. Anyone have any success stories or brands/models they can share?

Now-a-days, most high-end video cameras are only equipped with HDMI out instead of instead of firewire. If your computer has Thunderbolt, consider Blackmagic Ultra Studio Express. This device can capture HDMI (from the camera) and export via Thunderbolt to the computer. It's best to use Thunderbolt > Firewire versus USB since the two former methods allow for a higher rate of data transfer versus the latter which will result in loss of frames.

  • Camera for MacBook Pro

This morning when I turned on my computer the green light indicator light was on next the camera.  When I tried to use Skype it did not detect I had a camera and did use the camera.  Any Suggestions?

Best thing to do is check and see if there are any programs that are currently running that utilize the camera (hold down command and tap on the tab button) then obviously quit the application using it and try again. Also if you noticed this after cold booting your computer, check and see if you have any programs powering on in the background with your computer that may be doing it.
    System Pref
Users and Groups (or Accounts, depending on the OS)
    Login Items
That list will show any programs powering on with the computer, hit the minus sign at the bottom to remove any or all, then restart.
You may even notice your machine boot up a bit quicker ;]

  • Using Tandberg to a Connect Pro Meeting

    Hi,
Is it possible to connect a Tandberg 3000 unit into the
meeting room. I'm not going to connect a video conference meeting
into the connect pro meeting, I just want to be able to use the
Tandberg 3000 unit, with camera and sound in the connect pro
    meeting room.
    Anyone with experience from this?

Jorma is right. This should work - if you you can get the
    video into a computer.
I have not tried this with a Tandberg 3000 - but have been
successful with Tandber 800, 880 and 95s. You will need a video
capture device. I have used ADS devices -
    http://www.usb-ware.com/ads-video-xpress.htm
but you can search for USB to video for other options.
Then, patch the video and audio out from the Tandberg (the
cables that go to your TV or projection unit) to the video capture
device and choose the device inside the Connect room. It works
    great.

    Hello invulnerable_0916
Your quick cam for notebooks pro will work with your Mac OS X (10.6.1) equipped macbook pro if it is Logitech Part/Number 861303 (USB/PID 08CB).
One of the improvements added by Mac OS X 10.4.9 was support for USB Video Class (UVC) webcams. Therefore, any Mac OS X 10.4.9 or later can use any "UVC" webcam. However, not all USB connected webcams meet the UVC standard.
Per this Logitech page, QuickCam for Notebooks Pro comes in two different versions. Only the newer version identified above is UVC compliant and will work seamlessly with current Macs.
If your quick cam for notebooks pro is the older version of quick cam for notebooks pro, Logitech Part/Number 861209 (USB/PIDnbsp;08C3), it is not "UVC" compliant and does not work with Mac.
For more info on the UVC subject, see this thread:

  • Stable webcam for Connect 9 on W7 64-bit?

I am having lockups with the latest Add-In on Connect 9 using Logitech's Pro9000 webcam using their latest W7 64-bit drivers.  Others have complained of the logitech 64-bit drivers in other apps as well.
Anyone have a favorite camera for Connect 9?  I feel like I need to build a machine dedicated to Connect and don't use it for anything else, once I get it stable.  Surely it won't come to that.
Are Macs well behaved in Connect as a host/presenter plaform?

I looked at this webcam.  Looks interesting, but I think the higher end Logitech webcams have built-in H.264 encryption.  I wonder if that helps Connect?
       <http://www.facevsion.com/en/modules/tinyd1/index.php?id=39>
Yes, I was running the Logitech drivers.  I followed your link and it took me to a page for software for he webcam C510. I wonder if they download a universal packaging for old webcams, 32 and 64 bit, etc.  But you indicate you are running 32-bit.  That gives more credence to my case that their 64-bit drivers are unstable, as I have had read from many complaints on the net.
I was directed by Logitech to find the proper drivers in the dialog below (loved the part about leaving my computer off for 15 minutes!).
    ---------------------------  Logitech Response  ----------------------------------------------------------------------
As I understand, you are not happy with the software of Logitech Webcam Pro 9000.
Greg, I noticed that you had submitted your email to us on 10/26/2012. I want to take a moment to apologize for the wait in receiving my response and for the inconveniences your issue might have caused you.
Please be informed that QuickCam 11 is not the latest driver of Logitech Webcam Pro 9000.
In this case, you may want to uninstall QuickCam 11 and install the latest driver of Logitech Webcam Pro 9000; the Logitech Webcam Software.
Your webcam is plug-and-play, which means that it should work with your Windows native drivers. To resolve the issue, the following are recommended:
NOTE: If you already uninstalled all Logitech webcam drivers on your computer, please proceed with Step II.
    STEP I
Please uninstall QuickCam Software using Revo Uninstaller (This is a third party software.).
You can download the 30 days free trial on www.revouninstaller.com.
This software will uninstall all the components of the program including the registry.
Once you have installed the Revo Uninstaller, please follow the steps below:
    1. Close the QuickCam Software> go to the system tray and look for the icon.
    2. Right click on the icon of the QuickCam Software > Exit.
    3. Open the Revo Uninstaller > look for the QuickCam Softwarethen right click > uninstall.
    4. Wait for the software while it scans > it will ask to uninstall the software.
    5. Once the software is uninstalled > select the scan to Advance then click Scan.
    6. Once all the registry appears > click Select All > Delete.
    7. Turn off your computer. Remove the plug from the socket.
    8. Unplug the webcam.
    9. After 15 minutes, turn on your computer.
    STEP II
After the Logitech Webcam Software is fully uninstalled, please do the steps below:
    1. Plug your webcam.
    2. Check your computer specifications to make sure that the system is within the minimum requirements of the webcam to function properly.

    3. Plug in the webcam to another USB port on the computer. If you are using a USB hub, bypass the hub, and plug in the webcam directly to the computer. Like any other USB device, you will hear a prompt or a message will come up indicating that your computer "found new hardware". Wait until the drivers are successfully installed.

    4. Test the webcam on another application (other than the Logitech Webcam Software). You may use any video calling application like Skype, Yahoo Messenger, Windows Live Messenger. If you don't have any of these applications installed yet, please click on the link below to test your webcam:
    Link: http://www.testmycam.com/
    Test the webcam on MyComputer.
      a. Click on Start > MyComputer > Scanners and Cameras.
      b. Double-click on USB Video Device or Logitech Webcam
      c. Your image should appear on the screen.
If the webcam works fine now, you may now download the latest version of the Logitech Webcam Software using the link below:
    http://www.logitech.com/pub/video/quickcam/lws231_full.exe
After the driver has been downloaded, please unplug the webcam, close all the application open on your desktop, and press F5 on your keyboard.
Install the driver by double-clicking the downloaded driver. A message-prompt will appear click on Run. Follow the on-screen instruction.
NOTE: Do not plug the webcam when asked to, just click on "Skip" and completely the installation.
When the installation is complete, plug the webcam.
Check if the issue has been resolved.
Test the webcam by clicking on Start > All Programs > Logitech > Logitech Webcam Software. Click on QuickCapture. This screen should show your image.
One more thing, kindly ensure that you are running the latest version of DirectX.

    Sale: $129.99
Per the advice of Chad at Best Buy (Maine Mall, South Portland, Maine) I bought a Freetalk Conference HD Camera for my P Panasonic Plasma/3D TV (TC-P50ST30) to use with Skype.  There are two problems:  1) no video output.  As I began to research this problem this is a KNOWN issue - even at the Tech level at Best Buy.  Apparently they don't pass this information along to the sales force.    Problem #2: audio output only through the TV speakers, not the home theatre system.
As to issue #1 - Freetalk support suggested that I update the firmware.  Great idea, except they assumed that I would update through a PC.  I have a Mac.  No response to date on how to update the firmware via a Mac.
Issue #2 - anyone have any ideas?
I wouldn't recommend this webcam to anyone, not even my worst enemy.  I have paid $130 and spent hours trying to get it to work,  I can return it to Best Buy but they have no other webcam for use with a TV that they sell (how does THAT work?)  Any suggestions for an alternate product?

#1 - Best bet is to find a friend with a PC that will help you out.
#2 - Look in the manual for your TV on how to use the ARC (Audio Return Channel) HDMI port with your reciever.

  • Automated conference room booking scenario

    hi,
this is a realtime implementation scenario pls provide full coding and answers with screen programming of it.
    it is as follows:
Business Scenario u2013 conference room booking for the company

You will build a computerized system to automate the process of Conference room booking for a company .
Xi Infotech, a software company, is having 5  locations at Bangalore.  Each location has 3 conference rooms available
    Masters
    Maintain Employee Details
    Maintaining Conference room Details.
    Maintaining booking details
    Transactions
Maintaining Date and timing of Meeting
The conference room in any of these locations have to be Pre-booked for the meeting indicating the purpose of meeting & no. Of attendees, date and time for which required.
Booking Confirmation has to be sent to the employee who blocks the room.  If any other person tries to book the same room, he should be able to see that this room is blocked and the details regarding the employee who has blocked and the purpose & time for which the room is blocked

Datewise report on the conference rooms of all locations.
Month wise reports of conference room booked.

    What a question!

  • Conference room

Does anyone have best practices information on using Apple TV in a corporate environment? Specifically setting up security so that only authorized users can display in a particular conference room?

for the most part it's a no go
it does not support the corp type of encryption
apple I believe don't really make money on selling appletv units they make the money when owners buy stuff from itunes and the likes
so corporations using appletvs for adds running on tv's or as you wish is not really a lucrative market as you don't really add any revenue
