Config User Status to the Equipment Master User Status

All,
I created a user status profile and assigned the same user profile to a sales order item category and also an equipment master. I was hoping that when I created my sales order and selected a user status and then saved the order and also delivered and PGId the delivery. I was hoping since it's the same user status profile that my equipment master would get updated automatically but it didn't. Is there anyway to do this that anyone knows of without using a user exit? Thanks for any help in advance.

Hi,
For single equipment, there would be "n" number of PM orders. While doing MIGO, PM order status will be changed by automatic. Why do you want to change the Equipment Status? How do you want to change the status. Please elaborate your concern.

Hi,
When you open equipment master on the header below description you have status available. There you will find a symbol i in Blue color, when you select this icon it will take you to another screen where on left side you can see System status and right side you can see the User status.
You can assign the user status profile to the equipment category level. or if any user status profile's are declared for equipment relavent in configuration then you can select the same by going to the screen as mentioned above.

Deleting user status profile in equipment master

Hello experts,
can anyone tell if it's possible to delete a user status profile. Once we used an user status profile in an equipment i cannot find i way to delete or change the profile to another profile.

You can only change the user status profile in the equipment provided no status value has been set. Once a status value is set (maybe as intital status) the field is closed for input and no change can be made to the profile.

We are exploring a solution for attaching material photo on the user tab of the material master transactions - MM01/MM02/MM03 in ECC6.0.
Please review the questions outlined below from the client -
- Is it feasible to attach a photo of material to the user TAB of transactions MM01/MM02/MM03.
- Whats the performance impact on the online transaction?
- Whats the storage impact of having photo attached to the materials?
- Where and how is the gif or jpg image of the material stored? As a file on UNIX?
- Can a small photo area be added user tab?
- Does this require extensive programming or configuration to achieve this?
- How much of time would something like this require to setup?
If anyone has worked on similar requirements, request you to respond at the earliest.

There would definitely be impact on performance. The impact would depend on the Size of the Image file to be uploaded. So you need to do a performance analysis for various Size of Image file & select the one which doesnt have much impact on performance & also has a good quality resolution of image

SAP as such wont have any impact except the additional space required to store the images

You can store it using transaction SMW0

Programmatically yes. It would be a custom container in which you would be uploading the photo
- Does this require extensive programming or configuration to achieve this?
No idea whether it can be achieved through some config. Settings.
Programmatically its possible. Yes, it requires extensive programming. You need to maintain a table with Material No. & photo name. Accordingly you need to build the logic to upload the image. This works mostly on the Class CL_GUI_PICTURE & its methods.

To find the Status of the equipment

Hi all,
       I need to get the status of the equipment that we get it from EQUI table. I found the FM ITO3_EQUIPMENT_READ_STATUS to find the status. But I don't know what are the tables that I need to give in that.
     Can you please explain me how to use this Function Module ? or any other FM to get the status, if we provide the equipment number ?

Use BAPI_EQUI_GETSTATUS instead. below is an example.
Data:
v_l_equnr type EQUNR,
it_sys_status type standard table of BAPI_ITOB_STATUS,
it_user_status type standard table of BAPI_ITOB_STATUS.
CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_EQUI_GETSTATUS'
          EXPORTING
            equipment           = v_l_equnr
          TABLES
            system_status       = it_sys_status
            user_status         = it_user_status
it_sys_status will give you all the system statuses and
it_user_status will give you the user statuses
for specified equipment.

From IMG, choose Materials Management>Purchasing>Foreign Trade/Customs>Preference Processing>Maintain Control Data of Vendor Declaration, after that you will find the status in the material master data.

Warranty Date field in the equipment master data

Hi everyone!
I wanted to display the warranty date field in the equipment master data (IE01). I have already made the configuration and added the additional tab and screen thru this path:
Plant Maintenance and Customer Service > Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service > Technical Objects > General Data > Set View Profile for Technical Objects
But still, the tab is not added and the warranty date field is not found in the "Define Field Selection for the Equipment Master Record". please help me with this. We need this data because we are not using serial numbering and warranty master data that's why a way to track the warranty date is thru this adjustment in the equipment master data screen.

Make sure that you have assigned this specific profile to the Equipment category of the associated equipment that you are creating under SPRO > PM> Master data> tech object > Equipment > Equip category.

If you are at all interested in a 3rd party application to make your life a bit easier getting stats on your users, you could check out Click Stream by Sweetlets.
Click Stream uses the Usermanagement (UME) API to get more information about the user, groups, roles, LDAP attributes etc. and offers you the ability to filter this information in nearly any report at the click of a button.
Click Stream also uses the PCD API to get information about the pages your users are visiting too.
In the very near future Click Stream will also have iView recording to monitor iViews, telling which iViews have been clicked, etc.

User management for the Identity Management User Interface

We have set up synchronization users from Identity Store in UME UI([Guides|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/304280b4-25d0-2b10-b6a4-89c27409dea7?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true]).
When we assign the privilege priv: ume should be performed three tasks:
1. creating UME user
2. modify UME user
3. Add Password
But we see the fulfillment of only 1 and 2 tasks.
Why not fulfilled the task number 3?

In the workflow called "#Create UME user" from attached MCC files of the Guide,
Job "Add Password" will be executed only if the selected user does NOT have attribute MX_ENCRYPTED_PASSWORD set.
So, if the user on who you tried to provision UME privilege has already an MX_ENCRYPTED_PASSWORD defined correctly (DES3 encoded string), the job "Add Password" will not be executed.
To check this, get the MSKEY of the provision user and execute the following SQL query of the conditional task :
If you get a line in return, result is TRUE, else it's FALSE

I want to get the material master User-exits for the classification view

I want to insert new data in the classification view of material master date, and I want to check it. I cannot find the user-exit to realize it. Can someone help me ?

I understand you want to create a new characteristic for a classification. If that is the case, then you could have checks on the characteristic value entered. You can go to tcode CT04, enter the characteristic and go to the value tab. You can assign allowed values for that characteristic. Going to Other Value Check in that view, you can also check the entered value against a check table or even create a function module for custom check.

Cannot replicate status of the equipment to the component status in CRM

I'm in a group message with 12 people. All are iPhone users, except for the token Galaxy user. I can receive messages, but I cannot send them. How can I fix this?

Status not visible in Equipment Master

Hi,
I am not able to view the System Status and User Status in Transaction IE02, 'General Data' Screen. However if I click on the Status button, the system and user statuses are seen ('Change Status' screen).
Is there any config setting that I have to do?

Will some one expalin following points.
1.Can we add / modify system status in configuration.-if yes path for the same.
2.Is system status linked to user status-if yes path for the same.If no on whhich basic system status is changed .
3.What is use of configuration data tab in equipment master.Is this required for creating work order,notification ,task list etc.Is their any link between equipment master and material master.

1. Yes you can add modify system status using transaction BS22. However these are system delivered functionality and its not advisable to change these.
2.Its the other way around. User status can be linked to system status through the configuration for user status.Double lick on the user status definition to reach the system status dependencies editor in transaction OIBS.
3. Equipment master and material master can be linked either through serial number functionality (Material number + serial number = Equipment number) or through the "Construct" field(Structure tab) in the equipment master. The configuration data tab is used to link equipment master to a pre-existing variant of material.
