sinario is two business areas say A and B for diffternt two products in one company code which is already running with different business .
please any one tell me what are the configrations for business area wise balance sheet and profit and loss account.
what are the steps required and for configration and when enduser come into picture acceptance test is reqired.
plese inform me which are the steps required to test enduser test for business area wise balance sheet and profit and loss account

Hello
No seperate screen available for BA set up.
Follow the IMG, enterprsie structure, define and assign set ups.
Assign to SO / Plant /
Create cost elements and assign cost centers for each business areas.
Create clearing accounts for readjustments in BS and PL, and execute BA pl and bs adjustment programs for taxes, GRIR and some accounts, where BA is not populated.
Now you would get seperate BS for each BA

Data guard broker configration

dear
i had configured data gurd on oracle 10g, but when i am configraring data guard broker ,i am getting error
DGNGRL> create cinfiguration DEV as primary database is dev
connect internal is dev;
configration dev created with primary database "dev"
dgmgrl> add database clone as
connect identifire is clone
maintailned as physical;
i am getting error
Error: ORA-16796: one or more properties could not be imported from the database

Once you run PBA7, run report RPAPRT04. You can use this report to set applicant activities to completed, after you have transferred data for the applicants to Personnel Administration. The advantage of this report is that you receive a list of applicants for whom data has already been transferred to Personnel Administration, without having to enter selection criteria.
From now on, the applicants are handled as employees in Personnel Administration. The applicant data for these new employees does not require any further processing in the Recruitment component. You run this report to close the administration of the applicant data in Recruitment.
Apart from this i dont think there is any other major configurations..

EPM System Configrator........

Dear Friend,
i have install Hyperion system 11.1.1.3 successful.But when i start the EPM system configrator it will show the following error:
The system cannot find the path specified.
"JAVA_HOME is not set"
"Exiting"
After that i'll set JAVA_HOME in the Environment variable
JAVA_HOME
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_17\bin
After setting the environment variable run the system configrator again but now nothing is display.
Plz share your Exp. with me..

Hi My self Mandar Sathe a recent new comer in SAP field in PP module. I am having a query regarding Variant Configration. I am having a product FERT with a code. Say a Lock that can be sold in different finish with Different mechanisms and with different key options to be specific
consider a Navtal lock this Lock can be sold with 2 keys 3 keys and more having produced with different mechanism in different colour shades so i want to configre the same FERT using Variant Configration so at the time of producing the same it will ask me combination of Number of Keys Finish and Mechanism. How to configure the same using Variant Configration Method.
Now i have defined the material as configrable matrial I have defined a class and characterstics but not able to simulate them to get end result so pls guide me also if anybody has the documents regarding the same pls

basically selection condition is used to select a item from BOM , like on item 0010 MATR10 is present and you want to select this material when the characterstic value is RED for characterstic COLOUR ,then you need top assign selection condition
$self.COLOUR = 'RED'
Precondtionas are used to hide available values of characterstics or characterstics it self depends upon the previous selection of values.
like in some products some restrictions are there like, Car with red colur is not availabe with automatic transmission, so in suct case for the characterstic TRANSMISSION preconduitons can be written as
$SELF.COLOUR NA RED
procedure are used for selection things depends upon previous selection of values, it can also be used for adding or deleting quantitys etc.
Procedures can overwrite default values that are set by other procedures.
$SET_DEFAULT ($SELF, <characteristic>, <term>)
A configurable material has characteristics COLOR and PRESSURE. The following procedures are allocated to the configuration profile of the material.
0010 $SELF.COLOR = u2018GREENu2019 IF PRESSURE >= 10
0020 $SELF.COLOR = u2018YELLOWu2019 IF PRESSURE >= 50
0030 $SELF.COLOR = u2018REDu2019 IF PRESSURE >= 100
The sort sequence ensures that pressure greater than or equal to 100 always sets the color u2018redu2019
Check it out and revert back.

This has something to to with the PCI-E Buswidth, higher numbers increase PCI-E Performance but can make the system unstable.
If your system works fast and stable let this item alone.

As you have maintained many key combinations in your access sequence and as you are telling you have checked exclusion indicator.
My suggestion is maintain the key combination Sales Organization/Billing Type or billing type and assign this in the last step and don't check the exclusive indicator. As system picks the last key combination only.
Now maintain condition record VV31 for any of the these key combination of the above two and check system will give the output.
if you have copied the standard RD00 output into ZD00 output change in the output procedure the output type to ZD00 from RD00. and assign it to the billing document type

Hi,
When u r changing the G/L account corresponding to a valuation class, then the new GL account will be hit.
When u do Production Version:Mass Processing in T code C223, it will be updated in the new GL Account.
Also while doing MIGO/MIRO, u can check.
You can check the new GL account balances in the report S_ALR_87012277 - G/L Account Balances .

Hi Sure,
The help is very useful, but I have also an additional hint.
When you have already activated PSM (transaction SFW5, component EA-PS active), you are able to view the following menu path:
IMG -> Public Sector Management -> Funds Management Government -> Prepare Funds Management Installation
There you will find a documentation on-line with links to the respective customizing that must be done to PSM work fine.
Be aware that when you have activated EA-PS it is NOT possible to deactivate again. Therefore, only check this in one test system when you are sure that you will use PSM.

Configration Server

We have 5 SunOne Directory Server and they are using one Directory server as configration server. But I need reinstall OS on that server. How I can reconfigure all the DS servers to use another configration server or just use itself. Thanks.

The directory configuration server instance is irrelevant to the operation of the Directory Server itself. You can shut it down, upgrade the OS, then bring it back without the Directory Server caring.
What the directory configuration is relevant to is the Administration server and Console. Those won't be usable when the directory configuration instance is down.
If you really want to move the directory configuration server instance to someplace new, it is possible to reconfigure the administration server instance on each machine to know about the new location.

CONFIGURE CHANNEL DEVICE TYPE DISK FORMAT 'C:\RmanBack\New Folder\Backup%d_%DB_%U_%s_%p';and then immediately run "show all", are the new settings present?
