ConfigTool Login problem..SecStore.Properties file is missing..!

hi all,
I am unable to open Configtool since the SecStore.Properties file is missing which is supposed to be available in /sapmnt/<SID>/global/security/data/SecStore.properties..
Below is the error being thrown while starting configtool.sh...
Error while loading the securestore..
Msg: File"/sapmnt/<SID>/global/security/data/SecStore.properties" does not exist although it should
The OS is Solaris 10..How can i resolve this issue..Can i just copy it from some of colleague or just create it with the necessary parameter ( if yes,what is the procedure to create such file )
Your valuable answers will be appreciated and rewared.
Please help..
Thanks!

Hi,
I am a new user having super admin role.Ours is EP 7.0  Standalone JAVA with LDAP.
Actually, the file SecStore.properties is not been created or not been used for my user.
when i try to start configtool with my own UID/PW  i get this error.
My question here is..Am i supposed to use Administrator (since, its standslone JAVA ) or the <sid>adm as per everyone's suggestion.
I guess i can use both Administrator and <sid>adm for configtool since both needs master password to login. but, why not my UID/PW which has Super admin role..??!!
Appreciate your time discussing on this.

  • SecStore.properties file - need to regenerate-Sys Copy of SAP NetW BI 7.0

    Hello Experts,
    I'm having an issue with a follow up activity of a recent System Copy-> SAP NW 2004s ABAP & JAVA Stack ->System copy of our Production BI system to a Sandbox system. (HP-UX servers 11.23 / Oracle 10g) Our SecStore.properties file contains the Production Source system's credentials and I am unable to update the properties using the configtool.sh or offlinecfgeditor.sh scripts. I am receiving the following error:
    system.log from offlinecfgeditor.sh
    ... #2#com.sap.sql.log.OpenSQLException#Error while accessing secure store: The encryption key (usually in the key file) is not the key that is required to decrypt the data in the secure store file or the system name (SID) is wrong..#
    The SID in the below file contains our production sid (BWP) and needs to be (BWX-our target system)
    /usr/sap/BWX/SYS/global/security/data/SecStore.properties
    Is there anyway to reconfigure this property file other than the 2 scipts listed above?
    I have tried to set the file and directory permissions to 777; I'm still getting the same error message. Our properties file still has the source SID within the file (BWP). We want to use the offlinecfgeditor.sh script to change this but we get the error.
    Thanks,
    Laurie

    Hello Manoj,
    Thanks for your reply.  I have tried running the ./configtool.sh.  I am receiving the same error:
    Error occurred while loading the secure store.  Msg: The encryption key (usually in the key file) is not the key that is required to decrypt the data in the secure store file or the system name (SID) is wrong.
    I was told that a system copy (following SAP's recommendation for a system copy) was followed for this target system I'm having an issue with.  A system copy of our production BW system was performed.  The secure store files still contain the Source (production BWP sid within the file).
    Other suggestions?
    Thanks again!

  • Problems with properties files and war files in weblogic 5.1

              I work with WebLogic 5.1 and I'm trying to deploy a web application which gets
              a properties file. If I deploy it as an expanded directory hierarchy (with the
              properties files into WEB-INF/classes) I have no problems. While deploying it
              by a .war file I get this message: "en_GB java.util.MissingResourceException:
              Can't find resource for base name Agent, locale en " (the getBundle() method is
              trying to get an english property file). What could I do? Is it really a weblogic
              5.1 bug?
              Thanks,
              David

    This issue comes up repeatably. It's a real bug.
              I believe this problem was fixed in a 5.1 service pack, but I'm trying to
              find out the exact disposition of the issue. Noone seems to be complaining
              about this under 6.x, so a fix seems to have been made, the only question is
              whether or not it got back-ported to a 5.1 service pack.

  • Oracle.properties file is missing

    Greetings,
    I am attempting to run the Middleware_home/Oracle_IDM1/bin/config.sh script to configure Internet directory. I have run this before successfully but am having to rerun it following some cleanup. I am encountering the error -
    -bash-3.2$ java.io.FileNotFoundException: /usr/local/oracle/Middleware/Oracle_IDM1/oui/bin/oneclick.properties (No such file or directory)
    and in fact the file is missing. I don't know how it disappeared. I attempted to uninstall the Fusion Middleware installation to reinstall in hopes of putting it back but the uninstaller encounters the same error.
    Am I hosed or is there a fix to this?
    Thank you.

    Set the "clientEncoding" attribute as UTF8 in the outbound connection pool of your MQ adapter and update the adapter after making the change. Test again after this.

    The name of the password file isn't random.
    The SID is case sensitive, and the password file in Unix has no extension!
    So if the filename is wrong, the passwordfile will not be used.
    This filename looks wrong, at least the .ora bit should be removed.

  • Classpath problem with properties file in jar

    Hi,
    I am seeing a classpath error for my setup, as follows...
    A defaultFieldIDs.properties exists with numerous entries:
    projectID=10630
    issueTypeID=80
    closedStatusID=6My Spring applicationContext.xml file contains the following:
    <bean class="org.springframework.beans.factory.config.PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer">
              <property name="locations">
                   <list>
                         <value>classpath:sqlScripts.properties</value>

    <util:map id="defaultQueryParameters">
              <entry key="projectID" value="${projectID}"/>
              <entry key="issueTypeID" value="${issueTypeID}"/>
              <entry key="closedStatusID" value="${closedStatusID}"/>
              <entry key="statusFieldName" value="${statusFieldName}"/>
              <entry key="numberOfExpenseLinesFieldID" value="${numberOfExpenseLinesFieldID}"/>
         </util:map>My compiled jar contains the above properties directory in its root directory, and is placed in the lib directory of the application
    However, when I start my application I get the following error:
    Invalid bean definition with name 'defaultQueryParameters' defined in null: Could not resolve placeholder 'projectID'
    What is going wrong here?

    Then presumably that jar file isn't in the classpath for your application. Perhaps just dropping it into the lib directory isn't sufficient.
    You didn't say anything about what kind of application it is. For web applications, all jars in the WEB-INF/lib directory are in the classpath. But you didn't say this was a web application and you didn't say you put it in the WEB-INF/lib directory. So if you don't care to put sufficient information into your posts, I recommend you read up on the rules for whatever type of application you have, in particular the rules for how to set its classpath.

  • Problem creating air file with missing icon files

    Ok, I am trying to create an air file, and getting some errors.
    First, I am trying to create the air file using:
    C:\IBM\...\air\notifier>C:\air\sdk\bin\adt -package -storetype pkcs12 -keystore ../vl.pfx vl.air application.xml
    My application.xml file for the icons appears as:

    <image48x48>resources/icons/vl48.png</image48x48>

    air/resources/icons
         vl128.png
         vl16.png

    I get the following error:

    C:\IBM\workspace\VectorLiveWeb\WebContent\air\notifier\application.xml(20): error 303: Icon resources/icons/vectorlive48.png is missing from package

    C:\IBM\workspace\VectorLiveWeb\WebContent\air\notifier\application.xml(22): error 303: Icon resources/icons/vectorlive16.png is missing from package
    I tried using the -C command to include ../resources/icons/. - but still get the error, can anyone provide any assistance as to how I can make the .air file?
    Thank you,
    JJ

    Another thing I learned is that you might have the icon file embeded in the application somewhere and that removes it from the include in AIR package screen.That shows the same 303 error. See more detalis here : http://spy6.blogspot.com/2009/10/error-creating-air-file-303error-some.html

  • VOB files are missing footage that's on the DVD

    Hi all,
    I'm putting together a memorial film. The family gave me all their home movies that have been put on DVDs. I'm using MPEG streamclip to convert the VOB files to DV files that I can import and edit in iMovie (or FCP).
    Here's my problem: The VOB files are missing footage that I can absolutely see when I play the DVD. I've tried exporting the files to AVI and .mov files but the result is the same.
    Can someone help me figure out how to access that missing footage? It's very strange.
    Thanks!

    David--great idea--thank you! Unfortunately the result is the same. I am beginning to wonder if the DVD wasn't what's that called...finished? properly. There it all is on the TV but I have not figured out anything, despite great ideas and strategies that would give me a different result.
    Thanks again!

  • Regenerate the security files : SecStore.properties and SecStore.key

    Hello Expert,
    I have a big issue because I lost the both files : SecStore.properties and SecStore.key from the directory /sapmnt/SID/global/security/data. I tried to regenerate the SecStore.properties  from another instance. And when I tried to connect via Configtool I have the following error message : The encryption key (usually in the key files) is
    not  the key that is required to decrypt the data in the secure store file or the system name is wrong (SID).
    I think that the idea is to generate the new key file.
    Could you please help me to find a solution to solve this issue.
    Many thanks in advance for your greatfull help.

    Hi
    After creating the intial context for a remote JDBC connection, using a Java client, to the J2EE engine, when calling createConnection(), I get the following error on ver 6.4:

    I can not find the file on the server, although what limited doco I can find suggests SecStore should be created at install time. Am I missing something here?
    Thanks, Leonard

    Tried, but no success. Am definitely connecting to jndi, getting the context etc. The issue seems to be here;
    Caused by: com.sap.security.core.server.secstorefs.FileMissingException: File "SecStore.properties" does not exist although it should.

    Hi,
    I am having troubles reading in a properties file. The file looks like this:
    aname=apassword:word2
    bname=bpassword:word
    ...etc
    The code I have this far is:
    import java.util.*;

    public static void main(String[] args)
    String logon, pswd;
    //String login = null;

    System.out.print ("Login: ");

    System.out.print ("Password: ");
    pswd = MyInput.readString();
    Properties settings = new Properties();

    StringTokenizer st = new StringTokenizer(settings.getProperty(logon));
    String password = st.nextToken();
    String nick = st.nextToken();
    System.out.print (password + nick);

  • Problems with struts MessageResources.properties files

    hi,
    I am a newbie in using struts. I have the following resources.
    Resources:
    java:j2sdk1.4.X
    struts:1.2.4
    webserver:tomcat 5
    jsp:2.0
    servlets:2.4
    IDE:Ecilipse 3.0 IDE
    Problem: I have copied the struts_blank.war file into tomcat webapps dir. Inside Ecilipse I create a new project and import the struts_blank.war file into the project. I type the URL (http://localhost:8080/proj_struts/Welcome.do)and it works file. However if i create any formbeans or any other java classes, the MessageResources.properties file gets deleted from my classes folder in my dir. What am i doing wrong. Is there any plugin for struts for Ecilipse.
    Questions:
    to be specific, where should/which folder should these .properties files be located. Should they be in classes or src folder under WEBINF?. I have seen the entry in strutsconfig.xml file. All it has is the following element relating to .properties.
    Fixes tried:
    I tried copying the MessageResources.properties file into the sources folder
    but i am not sure how to configure the Eclipse so that it reads the .properties file file from src folder insted of classes. I am definately sure thisis a dumb sol..but i donno wht else to do....
    <!-- ======================================== Message Resources Definitions -->
    <message-resources parameter="MessageResources" />
    It doesnt even say where is it looking(which folder).....
    Could some one throw some light on this issue and guide me thru this ordeal
    Regards
    AK
