Configuracion 4g LTE tigo colombia

me podrian ayudar a conseguir la actualizaciòn para poder usar mi ipad con la red 4g lte de tigo en colombia, muchas gracias

Si ya cambiaste tu sim card por una sim card LTE y aún no te ha llegado el mensaje de actualizaciones de red, debes ir a Ajustes - General - Información. Una vez allí te debería aparecer automáticamente el mensaje preguntándote si deseas actualizar las configuraciones de red. Después de hacer esto, revisa en Ajustes - Datos móviles, donde te debería aparecer "Activar LTE" en vez de "Activar 3G".
Si no te aparece el mensaje por ninguna parte, llama al *300 para que ellos te envíen directamente el mensaje para actualizar. Si tienes la opción de "Activar LTE" pero el iPad solo te conecta en 3G, no te preocupes, significa que en el lugar donde estas no hay cobertura (o hay intermitentemente) pero con el tiempo esta irá ampliandose. Recuerda que las ciudades con cobertura son Medellín, Bogotá, Bucaramanga y Barranquilla, por ahora.

    You could try to reinstall the phone software in your WT19 and check if you still get this problem.
    I suggest that you use SUS to reinstall.

    Sometimes the imessage app and app store app half stop working.

    I know my post is long but I did this erase content and setting and the camera and facetime work!! But If I don't restore I'll loose months or years of info from apps that have no iCloud backup of data except for the general backupp whch has to be fully restored… you see the problem… I'm thinking maybe erase all apps except those I mentioned and try a restore with the bare bones apps… I'd like to avoid that though…

    i live in Colombia, and i used to buy iphones from other countries, but then got the iphone 4S from my original provider here in colombia, and two weeks later, i got this problem, cannot connect to itunes store, cannot connect to youtube, and the most annoying, i always got an error when i try to send message from imessage, i went to my mobile provider and they say that everything is fine with my phone line, the weird thing is that this only happens over 3G, all works under wifi, also i think i lost the push notifications, whatsapp only works when i open the app, and i used tu run ipusher for check my push notifications on my old iphone, and i doesnt show the push notification on 4S, ive tried all the things above with no results, i have restored in dfu, set up as a new iphone and if appears as they iphone is blocking any connection to itunes store, the rest works just fine, also when i use my phone as a personal hotspot and i try to access to itunes store or youtube from my computer it says cant connect as i said before like the phone were blocking the appstore

  • Sorry but I think this wrong, I know that in Colombia there and two of the three operators already have 4G/LTE networks, what happens is that the iPhone should be expected to send the update software for computers that have this tercnologia activate them,

    Apple needs to test the carrier if they offer LTE as expected.
    If your country/carrier is not on the list then there's no LTE on your iPhone.

  • Why Personal Hotspot option dissapiar for Tigo Operator (Colombia)

    It´s worket almos a month ... before dissapiar when update operator information.

    I have searched through a few threads on this, but not once have I seen the exact reason for Apple disabling the Personal Hotspot feature on a 3G iPad (given that it's the same iOS as the iPhone).
    You won't find one.  It was Apple's decision, most likely with input from carriers.  Apple has not said why, nor will they.

  • When the update to support LTE will be released for Claro in the Dominican Republic?

    Claro in the Dominican Republic has launched LTE (since yesterday) and proceeded to sell or give the 4G LTE Sim cards so the users can have the service. I went over, got my new sim card and inserted in my Iphone 5 (A1428), and said to my self "I'm good to go". Turns out I wasn't. Unfortunately, I could not get it working. I even moved around the city to see where I could get 4G coverage.
    When I called customer service to argue about the lack of coverage and to discuss that this may be a scam from the company. The customer service person told me to go to settings>cellular> to toggle Enable LTE, and I replied that I did not have that option. Then the customer service clerk argued that I did not have an updated Device. My iphone 5 IOS version is 7.1.2.
    After doing some research while on the phone with the customer service representative (it was a 45 min long call) I had to agree with him that maybe apple has to "released" or "enabled"  the service for this specific carrier, just like it happened in Colombia when the LTE was introduced.
    Currently there are 3 companies (Tricom, Orange, and now Claro) offering 4G LTE in the Dominican Republic and None are listed in the 4G LTE availability per device per country according to apple.  https://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/.
    So my question is: When the update to support LTE will be released for Claro in the Dominican Republic? (it would be great if an apple employee could get involve in this thread, or escalated it to who can do something about it.)

    Let me tell you something: no one is saying go and do something illegal to enable this feature on your phone and no one is reporting any confidential information; the purpose of this thread is to clarify some points:
    The LTE Network for Claro DO is real, is functional and is not a Scam
    The LTE Network works with compatible devices except iPhones, not by decision of the carrier but the manufacturer.
    About that the date that when will be available is not a confirmed date, it's an estimate based on previous releases in other countries and information that I received from inside Claro, not a speculation (find the definition). Of course Claro hasn't confirmed because, like other says, is apple decisions and not their (you don't have to be a genius to figure that out).
    Forums are to express yourself freely about a specific topic, and to give your point of view whether you agree or disagree with something, but when you do be polite and do it with respect and not with arrogance as you just did hinting others are stupid and do not know what they are doing. Take an advice from some one with a little bit of experience, you don't know when you will need some help.

  • Is it TIGO or is it NOKIA?

    I have a dreadful story with Nokia and Tigo in Colombia. I purchased a phone 5 months ago with a new service contract from Tigo and I have regreted that day for the past 4 months and 30 days!!!!!!!!!!
    First my phone would not surf the web a 3G speeds, it would only work on the EDGE network. I took it in to a service center and I was told that I have to change the network configuration from Both to UMTS so the phone would operate at 3G speeds, however this is a pain since the service providers 3G coverage is very limited and I have to change back and forth from UMTS to GSM depending on where I am, if I forget, the phone will not have a signal and all my calls go to voicemail.
    I later took the phone in because it was getting very hot, would drain the battery in a couple of hours and would restart all on its own from 5 to 15 times a day, even while on a call. The phone was returned to me with just a firmware update and that was all. Obviously the phone was not repaired and still had the same issues. I took it in for service again, two weeks later I was given a "new" phone. Funny as it may sound this "new" phone was completely screwed up, the keys printed on the keyboard had nothing to do with the characters displayed on the screen. Once again I wonder how this "new" phone passed all inspections before it has handed to me.
    I tried to contact NOKIA directly but unfortunately they do not have a phone number here in Colombia, their customer service number gets diverted to Mexico and they cannot help me. When I finally was able to speak to a human I was told that Nokia did not handle customer complaints or warranty issues directly that I should only communicate with the service provider that sold the phone to me. So after receiving this information I was only allowed to deal with TIGO.
    While my phone has been serviced the service provider (TIGO) has been charging me the full price even though they know I cant access the service because they claim "even though we have your phone, service has not been interrupted therefore you are responsible for you full monthly plan amount". How is it that they claim they have not interrupted service even though they have the phone I use to get access to this service? Anyway I LOVE it if someone at NOKIA cared about a customer and gave TIGO a call to solve this problem.
    How many times must a phone be returned to service before a solution is given to the customer?
    What do you all think? Is it TIGO or is it NOKIA? 

    I can understand your anger. You didn't tell what phone you have. It looks like you have a branded (Tigo) phone, so they are the first contact point to turn to. 3g coverage issues are reported all over the world. It's a fact that some providers promise more than they can sell. I suggest you hit the "contact us" button in the green bar of this website and tell your story. Don't give up the fight.

    The CDMA iPhones are sold with contracts with either Verizon or Sprint.  They will only work with those CDMA networks.  Their GSM radios will allow roaming in foreign countries, or may be unlocked (if certain contract conditions are met) so they can be used with local nano-SIM cards & plans when travelling outside of the USA (to avoid roaming fees when out of the USA).
    The model A1428 GSM only iPhone 5 model is sold for use with AT&T.  When a factory unlocked version of this becomes available (whenever that is) it could also be used with T-mobile or any GSM provider, but the LTE frequencies may not work with carriers outside of the USA.
    The model A1429 GSM only iPhone 5 is intended for use in Europe, Asia and other places that use different LTE frequencies thatn AT&T does here.  That model is not even expected to be sold here in the USA, as there'd be no carrier to use it with for LTE data.
    I can understand your thinking long term, but honestly, in two years, the iPhone 5 is going to be very, very old news.  We may even be on the iPhone 7 (if they keep naming them in numeric series) or who knows what by then.  So if you are going to be in the USA, why not just get what will work best for you here for those two years, and just plan on retiring it and upgraded when you go back home (or wherever life takes you by then).  You don't even know what changes or upgrades to the networks in Colombia will bring by then - LTE may already be old news and 5g or whatever next is coming may be rolling out.

    I bought my iPhone 3GS in a Store in Bogotá Colombia, wich where imported and Activated on EEUU.
    When iTunes  offer to me to install the last Version of iOS 5.0.1, my iPhone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarly unavailable.
    Then I connect my iPhone to iTunes Version 10.5.0.142 to activate it, and try... and try... and try so many times durning 3 days!, and nothing happens.
    I Try install the firmware using the redsn0w, with versions 5.0.1, and nothing, after with versions 4.2.3, and the iOS was incompatible, making the iPhone not start and stay blocked in the iOS icon of the Apple.
    Finally the most far that I came was this error messaje:
    "There's no SIM Installed on My iPhone that I trying to activate. But It's false. I have installed an Tigo SIM Card, activated with 400 minutes of conversation, 3G and 1 GB of internet communication working".
    I try Register the cellphone putting that I'm EEUU, with no GPS, and Nothing
    I try Register the cellphone putting that I'm Colombia, with no GPS, and Nothing
    I test my SIM card with other cellphones and works perfectly.
    HELP PLEASE!!!
    If I can't solve this problem, I'm affraid that I'm going to sell this cellphone and buy an Android.
