Configurating SLD on IDES

Hi All,
I am trying to configure SLD. We have a ECC IDES a and NW'04 SP9.
With help of some documents i have started to configure SLD, tried to add a technical system -> WEBAS ABAP -> defined application server, installation key etc.
at tail end of configuration it aks me to select a application. But i can not see any application in given list..
when i have to define/select these application.
your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Sudhir,
You need to import CIM contents for that.
Goto Administration link. There you can find Import link at right side.
Click on it. Then click on the button "Import CIM contents". It will import all Product information.
Then you can create technical system.

Above error is mainly coming because of 2 reasons:
1) user is locked SLDDSUSER. Please check this user of locked...if it is global user which is used by other system as well to connect to SLD then might be password in any other system will be worng which is causing this user globally locked...
2) Potential reason might be roles of this user is not properly mapped or this user does not contains appropriate roles..Please check SLDDSUSER profile..it must contains all roles...
Please check above if error still persists the paste log again...

I had EP 6.0 SP4 & R/3 4.7
I want to Deploy SFlight Webdynpro Application,for that i have to configure SLD.
I used this Weblog to configure SLD.

This stuff is done in the SLD itself. Go to Htt://<localhost>:50000/sld. You will need your user name and password. Click administration. Click Data Supplier Bridge.

Error while configuring SLD.

Hi All,
I have SAP Netweaver 7.0 installed in my system. I want to configure SLD in my system. I have followed the steps mentioned in the following link

I could successfully execute all the steps till Step 8
Step 8 - "Click on the icon to test the Data Transfer from J2EE to SLD Server."
This is the error I get in this step:
"Operation Failed! Failed to collect SLD Data.
Failed to send HTTP Data:503:Service Unavailable. Please check if the target SLD System is available and the SLD Bridge is started there."
What does the error mean?
Please suggest me how to resolve this error.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you updated your Apple Id and password but now you are being prompted for the old information in iCloud. You are on the right track by changing the Apple ID back to the previous email address temporarily so that you can sign out. You should not need to verify the email address. After you edit the Apple ID back to the old email address and then sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, edit the Apple ID back to the address you would currently like to use. There is no need to change the password again, only the email address, unless you prefer to update the password again.
If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud - Apple Support
Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Sign Out, then tap Sign Out to confirm. If you're using iOS 7 or earlier, tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap Keep on My [Device] or Delete from My [Device]. In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.

Configure SLD during the Installtion

I am installing the XI and EP system with NetWeaver 04s. At the moment, I am at step "Cental SLD", pretty much the beginning of the installtion. It says that I have to enter my SLD configuration.
I have the option between:
- Configure local SLD
- Register in existing central SLD.
I am assuming that I have to have installed an SLD upfront. Is that true??? If yes, how can I install the SLD before the installtion routine?
Which option should I choose??

We face issue during the SLD configuration of solution manager 7.1.We are in the process of configuring local SLD.After we select SETUP LOCAL SLD,we are prompted for the login credentials.And after loggin with j2ee_admin user, it is prompting to fill the passwords of sldsusers and when we click next...it is throwing error.

Which will be the best configuration to install IDES on LAPTOP

Dear Experts,
I planning to buy a new HP laptop(any other brand which is more compatible), with 4gb ram and 1tb HDD and I want to install IDES, so which processor will be the best, compatible or fast/ reliable?
Will windows 8.1 support GUI, if i install GUI?
Kindly suggest for another configuration which suits to IDES.

1. I am not sure about Windows 8.1 OS supports, but you can select the latest version of SAP ECC ERP6 EHP7.
refer the SAP Note 2012989 - IDES ERP 6.0 incl. EHP7
2. SAPGui supports on 7.30 with patch level 6 onwards

First of all, you need to plan your SLD:
How many SLDs you need for your enterprise? how you synchronise the contents among them.
There are different approaches:
