i am new to SAP Global Label Management, i am working to setup the whole configuration for SAP GLM. any body can provide me the detail configuration Documents.
how to print label Scenarios for bar code labels in SAP GLM (i know from SAP GLM we cannot print bar code labels) .how to trigger label printing (cbgl_mp01) from ABAP to generate Bar code labels

SAP GLM is part of SAP EH&S. To use SAP EH&S GLM you need to do some set up in these areas (list not complete !):
- Document Management System
- EH&S Product Safety
- Generation of symbols to be used in WWI
- set up of GLM WWI (separate generartion server)
- etc.
It is possible to print bar codes in EH&S SAP GLM (it is a matter of fonts etc.). This is a "must" for nearly any company who would like to use EH&S GLM. PLease refer to EH&S GLM documentation.

i can't go through new appraisal model with catalog & template, because client is not having ESS,MSS. appraisal has to done in the ECC only.
Done the customization like this :
created scales
created appraisal model and assign the scales
for appraisal, Employee can do from APPCREATE transaction rate his own ratings and save.
Now Appraiser (Manager) from APPCHANGE complete the appraisal.
now my requirement is (1) after saving the APPCREATE by the employee, notification has to go to his reporting manager only. (2) Manager can do review/change and complete the process to his Employees only (who are reporting to him)
how can i do this, standard functionality is there or i have to go for ABAP coding ? if ABAP coding what i have to ask them to do.
Please help in this requirement.

I have created all req data for GLM for Goods Receipt Scenario.
Now I am trying to Print the lable via CBGL_MP01 - Label Printing
meanwhile i have cheked the error log which is as below

Hi Amol,
You can still print the labels with the tcode : CBGL_MP01 with template as report with following settings:
1) In customizing Specify Label Categories under Global label management, you have defined Label categories.
2) In Label data view of Material master you have maintained Label categories under Labeling Specification and either a Label size or Generation variant maintained for that label caegory. Generation variant has the Application object assigned as Label Stock.
This label stock has information about Label categories, Label size, material, validity area etc. And your report template is assigned to the Generation variant.
3) Use the Label category defined in the Material master view, in your Generation variant Report category.
So when you run the tcode: CBGL_MP01, system checks the above settings and give you the posible reports in Label tree.

Iam implementing /installing SAP Solution Manager 4.0 in our scenario in a day/two. My query is tat do we need to install it APAP + JAVA based only or can we install it ABAP based only?
Secondly i needed good self prepared document for SAP Solution Manager 4.0 installation which gives me step wise step procedure in detail.Plz dont give service marketplace link as i hv already seen and checked installion guide over it ,act. i wanted self prepared doc which is of more use. EHS GLM Global Label Management: Is background printing posisble?

Is it possible to implement a Global Label Management printing solution which is triggered by a GR or PO and processes/prints the labels in the background rather than the GLM Manual print transaction?

Hello Brian,
GLM is a user interactice print process and provides no API for automatic printing. If you like to implement automatic printing then you have to build your own API. To do so you can use the subroutine L_PRINT_START of the function group CBGL_MP10 as a sample or starting point. All data which is coming from the screen have to be provided from your program then.
An alternative could be a solution from the SAP Services Sustainability Hub - Global Special Expertise Team. They offer a customer solution based on a framework which allows you to implement automatic print processes for GLM much simpler than doing everthing by your own.

UWL Configuration Document for EP 7.0

Dear all,
We are on EP 7 and trying to configure the UWL. I have a few documentation on the configuration of UWL (not sure whether is works for EP 7). When i try to Registering System Item Types with the UWL, i can see the following option which is different from EP 6.
AdHocSystem - AdHocWorkflowConnector
ActionInbox - ActionInboxConnector
We are using webdynpro and JCO connection. Therefore does it still require the system landscape? Anyone have the UWL configuration document for EP 7?

We need to create ITS settings in system object
Select Internet Transaction Server in the Property Category drop list from Ur system object
Give details as below
ITS Description: Give description
ITS Host Name: bs3q01.mycompany.com:8001
This information can be found under transaction code SMICM. Choose menu path GoTo  Services and you can find the hostname and port for the HTTP record.
ITS Path: /sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui
ITS Protocol: HTTP
Save
And also u need to activate these services
Goto Ur backend system goto SICF execute -- default_host sap bc gui sap its webgui
Right click and activate services

Configuring CCMS agent for PI is like any other dual stack stystem configure except few PI 7.1 specific configuration.

Which version are you setting up and what are the requirements? IF you are discussing the use of NIC bonding for high availability beginning in 11.2.0.2 there is a concept of "High Availability IP" of HAIP as discussed in the pre-installation chapters,

As far as I know, the Import Batch Mechanism has been taken away from MDM SP05 onwards. You can perform the Automatic Importing and Syndication using the MDIS and the MDSS respectively.

the configuration guide of SAP Solution Manager contains only same general information like strategy, required SPs in sat. systems, authorization and notes.
The 'REAL' configuration guide can will find in the system in the transaction SPRO->Referenz.IMG ->Solution Manager->Solution Manager-> Basic Settings. These settings you have to make to use standard SAP Solution Manager. In the are enhanced settings you can find additional settings for additional features.
