Thank you for responding. Nothing actually worked! After reading the posts online, I called Apple. They indicated they have seen problems with some software after their upgrades. The technician was able to fix the problem on my computer remotely, but I have no clue what he did! But, it was definitely related to their recent upgrade to my computer.

I had a installed CC and photoshop on my iMac and my MacBook air.
I got a new iMac now. As I have only two license and as it is described I had to uninstall the software on my old iMac and my MacBook air and then I installed CC and photoshop on my new iMac. As far there was no problem. Now when I try to start photoshop I get the following message on the screen: configuration error 213:20. I have startet the computer several times, but the problem was always the same. There is not explained anything else, than to get in contact with customer support.
What is the solution for my problem?

You have a licensing problem. Did you deactivate PS from the Help menu prior to uninstalling? See the following help article.

This usually implies there's a licensing problem. Assuming you got CS6 directly from Adobe.com and not an illegitimate source, try right-clicking on your DW desktop icon and select Run as Administrator.

Do these albums on the iPad have the cloud icon next to them? If they do, they are albums that you have previously purchased from iTunes. You can remove them from the Music app by going to Settings>iTunes &App Store>Show All>Music>Off.

Photoshop crashes when I use the marquis tool.

Photoshop crashes when I use the marquee tool. As soon as I make a selection it crashes my computer (every time!) by either rendering the screen black or sometimes all white. I have to force shut down and restart. I'm using MacBook Pro OS 10.6.8 with Photoshop CS6. I am not in a position to update OS at this time. Is there anything I can do to work around this problem? It's extremely time-consuming and infuriating.

That is not an application crash - that is a kernel panic, which means there is a hardware defect, a bug in the OS or a bug in a low level driver (like parts of the video driver). Kernel panics are not caused by applications, but by defective hardware or bugs in the OS and drivers.
Resetting prefs may avoid the settings that triggered the crash - but the cause remains in the hardware, OS, or driver code.
Since Apple is not going to update the drivers in 10.6.8, your best bet is to update the OS when you can, and hope the new drivers are in better shape. Unfortunately, it is also possible that you just have a bad GPU or video RAM - and fixing that would require replacing the video card or system (in the case of laptops or all-in-one machines).

Those filters work best when the foreground and background colors in the toolbox are different.
Try pressing the D key on your keyboard to set the defaults of foreground Black and background White and then try the Filter>Sketch>Photocopy.
