Configuration Error - Error 6 - Flash Builder 4 Plug In
Upon starting eclipse (after installing the fb4 plug in) I get a 'Configuration Error' error 6. Anyone have any ideas as to what this is and how to get over it. At the moment I cant even trial the software which I am evaluating for our company. I am not a flex / java dev so please assume an astounding level of ignorance! I have reinstalled several times and also tried with various different versions of Eclipse including the bundled option (which I do not particularly want to be forced to use anyway).... all of this to no avail. Version inf follows:-
OSX 10.6.1
Eclipse = Helios, latest release

Hi,
Are you using a Carbon version of Helios? There aren't many of those posted (most are Cocoa), but I think the SDK distro is still offered in Carbon flavor.
If that alone doesn't help, try looking for your error in these tables:

Though FB4 Plug-in is not exactly a CS5 app, it uses CS5 install/licensing libraries, so the same solutions would probably apply.

Configuration Error:1 Adobe Flash Builder 4.7
Hello,
I'm using Adobe Flash Builder 4.7(64 Bit). Instalation went well and Flash Builder worked just fine, but after restarting my computer and opening Flash builder again - popup appeared with Configuration Error: 1. I thought that this was one time only, so I uninstalled and reinstalled the product. But this Error is still appearing. So now I'm uninstalling and reinstalling my product every time this happens - sometimes it works, sometimes not. How can I solve this problem?

Error while installing flash builder 4.5 for php
Hello to all.
Im having a problem while trying to install the flash builder 4.5 for php.... it keeps saying that i have the zend installed in my computer! but i have not... i just have buyed this computer... and it keeps saying that i have the zend installed....
can someone please help me? I just wanna use this freaking tool!!! =D

I'm getting this error when I start Flash Builder 4.7 on Mac OSX Maverick.
I solved it. The trick was to press the Install button. After a few minutes Flash Builder opened.

The error log has been deleted by the time I get to it and there is no other clue, not aware of making any other changes that could affect it.

I have googled the error code C [KERNELBASE.dll+0xc41f] and it is suggesting an incompatibility with 64-bit versus 32-bit systems. I did previously install the 64-bit Flash Builder 4.7 trial, and then uninstall it again because it gave too many bugs on my machine and played havoc with FB 4.6.
I will try in the 4.7 forum to see if they have any ideas.

I'm trying to copy some files to Storage Card on a AIR application. Is this possible with the latest version of the AIR SDK (2.0)?
I am developing in Flash Builder. I have downloaded the lastest flex sdk(4.1) and used it.
Flash Builder then recognises the StorageVolume and StorageVolumeInfo classes. However when I then run the app the debugger throws an error on the following line:

RDS Server Configuration In Flash Builder

If you are using the new Data Centric RAD feature in Flash Builder, the RDS configuration should be taken care by itself.
However, for a CF server your RDS information should look like this:
Window->Preferences->RDS Configuration->New
Description: RDSConfig
Host Name: localhost(subject to where the server runs)
Port No: 8501(actual port where server is running)
Under Security information provide the RDS UserName and password given while installing the server and click 'Test Connection'.
You should see a success message if all is well.
For BlazeDS it should look like:
Description: MyBlazeRDS
Host Name: 8400
Context Root: blazeds
and click Test Connection.

Endless NullPointerExceptions in Flash Builder 4.5
I've been using Flash Builder 4.5 with Flex SDK 3.5B on Mac OS X 10.8.2 for a couple months. It hasn't been a perfect experience—the software has quite a few bugs—but in general it has been working until recently.
Our application includes two Flash Builder "projects", one of which references the other. Whenever we clone the repository, it is necessary to update the .project file of the primary project to include the new path of the secondary project.
The last thing I did before everything broke was move the folder containing the projects to a new location. As expected, when I opened Flash Builder, it complained that it couldn't find my project files, and they were all marked as inaccessible in the "Package Explorer" view. I did not remove the inaccessible projects from my workspace, but I attempted to re-import the primary project from its new location. This marked the first time I saw a dialog that has haunted me ever since:
The "Problems" view told me to refer to the error log...
...but the error log was empty!
The "Package Explorer" view didn't change (the new project wasn't listed) so I decided to just try the import again. When I selected the project directory, Flash Builder said I couldn't import it because the project was already in the workspace. "But the Package Explorer says it isn't... maybe it'll let me try again if I restart Flash Builder," I thought. I thought wrong. When I restarted, this is what I saw:

It couldn't even display the list of projects so I could remove the one that was causing the issue. A similar message was displayed in the "Editor" view. Deleting all of the project's files didn't help either. I was unable to fix the workspace, and the only way I could continue to use Flash Builder was by creating a new workspace.
Since then, I have tried many different things:
Reinstalled Flash Builder 4.5.
Reinstalled Flex SDK 3.5B.
Checked out a six-month old version of the project.
Upgraded to Flash Builder 4.6.
Created a new user profile on my computer.
Tried to remove whatever trace files might have broken things:
Used Instruments to monitor all files the Flash Builder process touches.
Uninstalled Flash Builder.
Used find to locate any files that included builder or eclipse in their name.
Deleted all files found in (1) or (3) that seemed possibly related to Flash Builder.
Reinstalled Flash Builder.
Installed Flash Builder 4.5 on another Mac running Mac OS X 10.6.8.
Installed Flash Builder 4.5 in a Windows 7 VM.
None have made any difference. That seems impossible.
Other members of my team have been working on this project for a couple years without running into this particular issue, yet now versions of the project from before I started appear to be broken, and even using brand new installations of Flash Builder on entirely different systems also breaks.
I have no idea what's going on. It seems like I must have done something else and forgotten about it, because the current situation makes no sense. Has anybody encountered this issue before? Do you have any idea what might be causing it, or what I might do to fix it?I tried phone support yesterday, after making this post. The support representative eventually said that phone support is no longer offered for Flash Builder 4.5, but that I could email tier-2 support at [email protected]. However, when I tried to email my inquiry to this address, it bounced:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 No such user - psmtp (state 13).
Could you please tell me the correct email address for tier-2 support of this product?
Are you getting the same error with Flash Builder 4.6? If not can you share the logs, I can check them and see if there are any workarounds that I can suggest.
I'm afraid the same error happens in Flash Builder 4.6.
Here is the log from 4.5, anyway. Curiously, the log isn't written every time this happens, it often (seemingly at random) is left empty. When it is written, it includes the same stack trace from a NullPointerException as appear in the "Project Explorer" view when I restart.

Publishing my flex application in external server (Channel.Security.Error error Error #2048)
when i publish my flex application in an external server i get that error if my flash builder beta 2 is closed in my system , i did configure an endpoint to the dataservice to point to the external server and if i run my flash builder and any body browser the site it open and they can access the data from my application but if i close my flash builder we have this error all of us

really its strange only the site works if my flash builder is running , please helpThanks all for your attention, i have solved my problem and i think its a bug in the flash builder , the problem was that when you compile the application and you enabling Network Monitoring , the communication of the AMF channels done throw the http://localhost:37813/flex2gateway/
and that was the problem if you close the flash builder on your system that getaway dose not exist and on the hosted server there is no such address localhost by this port also so the client application witch is catch in you system try to access your localhost and that cause a security error and the address is also not exist .
so the solution or we have to compile the project after we disable the Network Monitoring in flash builder . -

Install of Adobe Flash Builder 4.5 fails
Installation of Adobe Flash Builder 4.5 fails with 3 warnings and 4 errors.
Attatched are the errors presented in the log.
Some Google searches suggested uninstalling both the Flash plugin and ActiveX controls and/or rebooting to troubleshoot the installtion. Neither solution worked for me.
I have also uninstalled the previous version of Flash Builder (FB4) even though there was supposedly no conflict betweent the two.
Adobe support suggested creating a "webcase;" anyone know where I can do that?

I am trying to work on Live Cycle Mosaic 9.5 and I have downloaded FlashBuilder 4 and trying to configure the mosaic plugin "LiveCycle Mosaic ES2 Plugin for Flash Builder 4" in Flash Builder as per following directions given on adobe site:

MariaI'm building an InDesign extension using Flash Builder. I have everything working as per the tutorial, but the code-debug cycle is very long. Every time I make a code change, if I want to run it in the debugger, I have to do all of this:
Save my file, confirm there are no Errors, set my breakpoints.
In the Finder (I'm on OSX), copy the SWF to the extensions folder.
In Flash Builder, from the "Run" menu, choose "Debug", then "Other..." The Debug Configurations dialog appears.
In the Debug Configurations Dialog, select my configuration (which works) and click Debug. The "Installed Adobe Flash Player Is Not a Debugger" dialog appears.
In the "Installed Adobe Flash Player Is Not a Debugger" dialog, click Yes. The dialog closes
Launch InDesign. Wait for it to launch.
Run my extension, stop at my breakpoints, do my debugging.
Quit InDesign
Is there any way to set up the debugger to connect to CS5 without having to quit and relaunch the CS5 app itself?
Is there any way to make my debug configuration the default in Flash Builder, so I can just hit command-F11 to debug?
Is there any way to automate copying the SWF into the extensions folder?

Flash Builder Beta 2 locale en_GB problems ?

I have installed FB B2 and created a project but the application produces an error even before I've complied the app, the message is as follows
unable to open 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder Plug-in Beta 2\sdks\4.0.0\frameworks\locale\en_GB'
I can change the locale under Flex Complier to en_US and this sorts this error. But then the following error appears:
unable to open 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder Plug-in Beta 2\eclipse\plugins\com.adobe.flexbuilder.dcrad.nl1_4.0.0.253292\nl\en_GB\dcradSwcs\4.0\loc ale'
I have no idea what to do now, why has the en_GB locale been removed in FB B2 ??
Any help would be greatfully accepted
PS I have tried build 10485 of the SDK and get the same result.

Yes, it was a type. I meant the locale that FB uses as default on my PC: es_ES.
The steps to reproduce this ( using FB beta2 + LCDS3_beta3.war )
1) New Flex project "foobar" with J2EE server
2) Use tomcat 6.0.18 and lcds3_beta3.war
3) Finish
4) I add the project to my Tomcat instance
5) Build project and "boom":
Description Resource Path Location Type
unable to open W:\PATH_TO_WS\foobar\WebContent\WEB-INF\flex\locale\es_ES
Then, I go to my FB_beta2 installation and :
6) copylocale en_US es_ES
Then I copy the new brand es_ES locale into W:\PATH_TO_WS\foobar\WebContent\WEB-INF\flex\locale and I try to build the project again:
7) Build the project
I get something like :

I get the feeling there is something that is breaking the project at the point Im adding the project to the Tomcat instance.
If you skip step 4) The project compiles successfully. As soon as you add the project to Tomcat, everything breaks.
