'configuration file does not specify default realm'

Hi,
I am using below solaris 10 OS version:
[root@nlxsl009 ~]$ cat /etc/release
Solaris 10 5/09 s10s_u7wos_08 SPARC
Copyright 2009 Sun Microsystems, Inc. All Rights Reserved.
Use is subject to license terms.
Assembled 30 March 2009
The Kerberos version available on our Solaris 10 OS is: MIT Kerberos V5.
I had installed the Kerberos from the instruction given at MIT Kerberos site but getting following error:
'configuration file does not specify default realm'.
I tried to configure my KDC but it seems my Kerberos was not installed properly.
Can you refer any site from where I can properly install Kerberos from Solaris10 OS DVD?
Thanks and Regards

I think you need to post this question to a Solaris forum, it is definetely not a Oracle Database Installation question.

    You could search online for this warning. I was able to find http://superuser.com/questions/346264/event-log-warning-registry-setting-specifying-configuration-file-does-not-exist

  • XML configuration file does not show entry for PI_BASIS for PREPARE

    Hello SAP Gurus,
    We are doing ECC 6.0 SR3 upgrade including EHP3 SP3
    We generated XML configuration file for EHP3 from MOPZ
    But during XML file does not contains any information for PI_BASIS target level or source level
    current level is 2006_1_620
    We tried that XML file in PREPARE during EHP_INCURSION phase
    but failed all time.
    Let me know what we have to generate XML file with proper information including PI_BASIS
    Even PI_BASIS not appearing in MOPZ list for selection, its surprising for us.
    Any idea/direction would be highly appreciated.

    hello,
    i installed WDS+MDT for OS deployment. all was working fine.
    Now i need our branch office to be able to deploy OS as well.
    I installed a new Win 2008R2 server, and installed the WDS service on it.
    When reading about this on the internet i saw i need, on the MDT at our main office, to make a link, under "Advanced Configuration" - "Linked Deployment Shares" to the new WDS server (I used this: http://www.balm.se/?p=115")
    when doing so i entered the UNC path to the new server and then, on the created link, i right click and choose "Replicate now".
    after doing so, i tried booting a laptop just to see if there is any impact, and now, I'm getting this error:

    thanks a lot for your help
    For a branch solution I would use DFS(R) rather than linked deploymentshares.
    If there is infrastructure at the remote sites you could use the MDT environment at your main site, and  then at each other site use an existing server or build a new server (VM is available). Create a Deploymentshare on each sever
    and copy the contents of the MDT environment from the first site into this share.  Next you will have to add the WDS service to each site's server. For WDS add the boot image. Of course as Keith noted ensure that you
    have the same versions of MDT and the WAIK/ADK on all systems
    You can use DFS to replicate to all of the other sites, but you will still have to create a deploymentshare, and install WDS at each site. So each site talks to its own WDS server you can use the DefaultGateway parameter instead -
    [Settings]
    Priority=Default, DefaultGateway
    [Default]
    SkipBDDWelcome=YES
    [DefaultGateway]
    192.168.10.1=Bergen
    192.168.20.1=Oslo
    [Bergen]
    DeployRoot=\\MDT-Bergen\DeploymentShare$
    [Oslo]
    DeployRoot=\\MDT-Oslo\DeploymentShare$

  • Content Organizer bug - PDF files does not get routed correctly if autodeclaration is on and library level default values are set

    It looks like whenever one specifies Column default values at a library level then the content organizer routing goes a bit awry SPECIFICALLY FOR NON OFFICE FILES [e.g. PDF] . Below are the observations and issues
    1. Column level default value set on a record library with auto declaration of records turned on.  The content organizer routes the document to the library but also keeps a copy of the document in the drop off library. It does not remove it from the drop
    off library. The instant we clear the default value settings at the library level of the target library the content organizer works as expected again.
    2. If default value settings are specified on a column in the target library then the PDF file gets routed to the document library but all the metadata is blanked out. The copy of the file that remains in the drop off library has all the correct metadata but
    the target library has blanked out metadata.
    Are the 2 observations described above by design or are they bugs? If so is there any documentation that is available that proves this because this does not make logical sense and proving this to a client in the absence of any documentation is a challenge.
    The problem goes away if we shift the default value to the site columns directly at the site collection level. It's just the library level defaults that the pdf files do not seem to agree with

    Hi Lisa,
    Thanks for responding. This can be replicated in any environment but is only replicable for a specific combination of content organizer settings . The combination of settings I am referring to can be seen in the screenshot below. If you turn off redirect
    users to the drop off library for direct uploads to libraries and if you turn on sharepoint versioning then you should be able to replicate the issue. Also we are using managed metadata site columns. I simplified this use case to a custom content content type
    with just 2 custom managed metadata columns and can still replicate the issue in several environments. Also note the issue does not occur if the default values are set at the site or site collection level. It only occurs if you set the column value default
    at a library level.  I was able to replicate this on a completely vanilla Enterprise records site collection freshly created just to test this.  Also note that the issue is not that the file does not reach the destination library. The issue is the
    document does not get removed from the drop off library after it is transfered to the destination library which technically should have gotten removed.

  • Getting this error while opening a folder : This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel

    Hi,
    While trying to open a folder on my Windows 7 Home Premium, an error comes "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this
    action.  Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel." I tried searching on the net but did not get great support for the issue when it happens with folder opening.

    Hi Nikunj Shah,
    First, I suggest you download
    Microsoft Safety Scanner or
    Malicious Software Removal Tool to run a full scan.
    The error messages here seems to be caused by the corrupted registries, which related with the folder association.
    You may take a try to merge the following registry settings to reset the folder association, before that, remember to backup your registry settings first:
    How to back up and restore the registry in Windows
    Copy and paste the following commands into Notepad, and save it to a .reg file:

    You are posting in the "icloud on my mac" forum, but your profile mentions Windows.  If using a mac, you need to have iphoto or aperture installed in order to receive new photos via photo stream.  If using windows, try posting in the iCloud on a PC forum.  You'll get better help there.

  • The configuration file did not contain well formed AppV configuration XML - When using Office 2013 ODT package

    All,
    I'm experiencing an issue where when using the Office 2013 package pulled down from ODT, that if I try to change the locations of either InfoPath Filler 2013 or Publisher 2013 from the default of Microsoft Office 2013 then I receive the message "The
    configuration file did not contain well formed AppV configuration XML. Please check the management server event log for more information". If I check Applications and Services\Microsoft\AppV\Server-Management\Admin the error displayed there is "An
    error was encountered parsing dynamic configuration file '0'. However I am able to change the shortcut location for all other applications except the above 2. I've tried redownloading the files using the ODT and also changing the version number (so far I've
    tried both the 15.0.4631.1002 and 15.0.4659.1001 with the same result).
    As all I'm interested in so far is having a package which contains Visio and Project I've tried following the article to exclude all the other Office elements:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/library/jj219426(v=office.15).aspx#BKMK_ExcludeAppElement. However the package looks to be the same and when I load it into the management console all the options and elements to Office 2013 are available like they were before
    when I hadn't set the exclude tags so I'm not sure whether the ExcludeApp parameters actually work correctly.
    This then brings me onto the 3rd issue I've experienced. I have a group for the Visio users and I've set custom security for them to have Visio delivered to them but not Project and then a seperate group for just Project users who will have Project delivered
    to them but not have Visio. When testing this sometimes seems to work but other times it seems to trip out and a user just in the Project or Visio group will get all of the Office 2013 applications and under the default location of Microsoft Office 2013. When
    trying to spot correlation with this it appears random and can happen to any user on any device. We have sequenced a few applications ourselves where different parts are needed for different users and we have successfully managed this using different security
    groups for different applications, just as I'm trying here with Office 2013.
    Has anyone else experienced the issue with the "did not contain well formed XML" as at the start of the post and how were you able to resolve this? Also has anyone any advice on how to troubleshoot the issue with the security seeming to trip out
    and publish all applications within a package to a user regardless of whether they are in the correct group or not?
    The management / publishing servers are 5.0.1224.0 which is SP1 HF4 and the clients are on SP2 HF5.
    Thanks

    Nicke,
    The config files are UTF-8. I did find the same article as yourself, however when searching for the value ‘TakeoverExtensionPointsFrom46=’ within either of the configuration.xml files that text isn’t found.
    No sinister reason not to share the file used, just it’s the same structure as referenced in the article:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn745895(v=office.15).aspx. The only difference being that I’m using ProPlusVolume and I’ve set a version number (which is the October
    2014 update). I’ve even looked to follow the above example as closely as possible in just using the ExcludeApp ID of Access and InfoPath, just to try and prove the process. However I still get the usual full package. The version of the Click-to-Run setup.exe
    I’m using is 15.0.4623.1001, so later than the version specified at the end of that article which is 15.0.4619.1000. Where can I expect to see the elements excluded? Will it be when loading the package into the management console or would it just not appear
    on the machine when delivered?
    <Configuration>
      <Add SourcePath="C:\OfficeDeploymentToolV2" Version="15.0.4659.1001" OfficeClientEdition="32">
        <Product ID="ProPlusVolume">
          <Language ID="en-us" />
    <ExcludeApp ID="Access" />
    <ExcludeApp ID="InfoPath" />
        </Product>
      </Add>
    </Configuration>
    3). We’ve not used global publishing in our environment yet so I will try that. I’ve set both GlobalRefreshEnabled and GlobalRefreshOnLogon to True and when using the command Get-AppvPublishingServer on the client I’m testing with I can see this is pulled
    through correctly. I’ve also added the client name to the AD group used to grant access to the package and it is published. However nothing is pulling through onto the Client, so are there any steps I’ve missed or misinterpreted when looking to set this up?
    I guess the global publishing is there to keep in with licensing for Office being per device? On a slight aside, as Windows licensing is being changed to allow per user licensing
    http://www.zdnet.com/microsoft-to-make-per-user-windows-licensing-available-to-enterprise-customers-7000035401/ does anyone know if there are any plans to allow for Office / Project / Visio licenses to go per user as well? We’re a volume license customer
    rather than subscription based so I think a lot of the options to selectively deploy Visio and Project are excluded for us.
    Dan,
    Ok that explains why the security could be tripping out then and leading to this result. As above I’ll try with global publishing and see how I get on.
     From what I’ve read / watched  I think only one Office 2013 package can be published to a machine, so we would be unable to have a separate package for Visio and a separate package for Project and then attempt to deliver
    them both together. If a user wanted both Project and Visio then I guess we’d need to have a combined Project and Visio package to cover than scenario, but then 2 more separate Project and Visio packages for those who would only want either Project and Visio
    (I think).
    The scenario we’re looking at is to see whether we are able to deliver Project and / or Visio to different users through an AppV package and this will then cover users on XenApp or on fat clients. Only a small proportion of our
    users will need access to Project and / or Visio so therefore we’d only have a small amount of Project and Visio licenses.
    However from what I’ve tested up to this point and from what I’ve picked up from Forum posts / watched on TechEd sessions is that as publishing is Global and is unable to use different security groups for different elements of the
    suite, then using Office through AppV is only suitable if you will be delivering the whole suite (including Project and Visio) to all of your users. So in a scenario where you’d only want certain elements to be delivered to a handful of users then you’d need
    to keep with traditional ESD methods to have this installed onto fat clients and steer clear of XenApp. If wanting to install to XenApp then a lockdown tool like AppSense or AppLocker would also need to be brought into the equation.
    Is my understanding above correct or have I missed some options / methods?
    If the full Office package is always delivered but a company only has Office licenses and no Project and Visio licenses for all its users, how do they stop Project and Visio being delivered and being available? Or again if you have
    this use case is the AppV method one which will be unsuitable?
    Thanks

  • File does not exist: /oa_servlets/AppsLogin

    Hi.
    The Apache error log reads thus: File does not exist: /oa_servlets/AppsLogin.
    The login page appears. BUt when selecting the EBS suite link, or OAM link, the HTTP 404 Not Found appears.
    I have checked that all services are up on the server. I have cleared the web cache and rebooted Apache.
    The only change to this environment is that I took it out of archivelog mode today.
    I am not sure where the /oa_servlets/AppsLogin is supposed to be - if I did then I could verify where it is.
    Apart from raising an SR, are there any other ideas for this?
    Thank you!

  • Dfsr files does not replicate

    Hi,
    We're running dfsr on 2008R2 servers to replicate files, and I discovered that some files are just not replicated.
    These files are not temporary files (checked using fsutil), and not filtered by file mask define on replicated folder properties (ususally ~*, *.bak, *.tmp).
    It looks like a dfsr db corruption, but I don't know how to solve this. I don't know how to reset the db as some members are domain controllers.
    Here's the configuration:
    server1 and server2 are 2008R2 domain controllers. The replication group is ks2share-idcl.
    - on server 1: file REPL-ERROR.pdf is modified
    - on server 2: file not present
    below is the dfsr.log output for each server.

    We can see on server the message "LocalDominates Local version dominates localgvsn", but file does not exists....
    Please help.
    Vincent

    Hi,
    Though you tried to delete, have you tried rename, or move them into a different folder?
    And you mentioned fsutil so I assume you have already know the following article. But still incase some steps were missed:
    DFSR Does Not Replicate Temporary Files
    http://blogs.technet.com/askds/archive/2008/11/11/dfsr-does-not-replicate-temporary-files.aspx
    Meanwhile, I don't think reset DFSR database will affect AD replication. NTDS.dit is stored in a different location. If it will not work with a rename (and change path), you can test to reset DFSR database.
    1.       Stop and ALSO disable the DFSR service on <ServerA> server (don't just simply stop it)
    2.       In Windows Explorer open the specific drive
    3.       Right click on the "System Volume Information" directory and select Properties\Security
    Note: You might need to select the option for "Show hidden files, folders or drives" and also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" in the folders view options to be able to even see the "System Volume Information" directory.
    4.       Grant your user account that you're logged in with (if a member of Administrators group this will also suffice) "Full Control" to the "System Volume Information" directory.
    Note: You may get an error on setting security on some files - this is expected.
    5.       Open an elevated/Administrative command prompt. Switch to the "<drive letter>:\System Volume Information" directory
    6.       Type the command "rmdir DFSR /s"
    7.       Enable and re-start the DFSR service on <ServerA> server
    8.       We will then set the <ServerA> server as the Primary member with dfsradmin.exe utility –
    Dfsradmin Membership Set /RGName:<RG Name> /RFName:<RF Name> /MemName:<Member Name> /IsPrimary:True
    Note: Files will be replicated from ServerA to all other targets. So if there is any newer file on other target servers, backup before starting replication.
    Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and un-mark them if they provide no help. If you have feedback for TechNet Support, contact [email protected].

    Generally when creating a Word file from either a Mac or Win7 pc and opening it on two different machines (either one first) it always prompts that the file is open and will be opened as read only.
    However opening a CSS file does not prompt that it is already open on or from any machine which is causing code edits to be lost.
    What we found from out testing:
    - The file can be saved from one user to the server and WILL NOT PROMPT on other machines until the saving machine has the Dreamweaver program closed completely
    - The file can be closed and  Dreamweaver minimised to the launch bar but it still will not register on other machines that it has been changed.
    - Also, until the  Dreamweaver program is closed on the machines, it will continue to open it's saved version of the file.
    Example Scenario:
    - User 1 opens test.css (which is 2000 lines) and adds some code to the end of the file to bring it up to 2500 lines
    - Meanwhile User 2 opens test.css as well (opens as 2000 lines as User 1’s edits have not yet been saved) and adds in code to bring it to 2300 lines
    - User 1 saves his file and closes it - but  Dreamweaver is still open.
    - User 2 also saves his file and leaves  Dreamweaver  open.
    - The server will report the size and last edit of the file the same as User 2 as he was the last person to save it (and if you open from the Win7 Machine it will show as User 2’s 2300 line version)
    - If User 1 then open's the file again (from either the 'recent' in Dreamweaver OR clicking on the file directly in Finder...which version opens.... The version that User 1 saved! Not the true version on the server, but the version that User 1 edited and saved with 2500 lines in it.
    - Same for User 2, he will open 'his' version with 2300 lines in.
    Other information:
    - Files are opened directly from the server
    - Sometimes the users will save incrementally and re-open
    - Most of the time users will save incrementally and keep the files open
    - The users will never not save incrementally and just save when closing the file once finished
    - The users are usually working on the files all day
    - It is always the bottom lines of code that are lost. It could be a case of the two versions being mixed up and cutting off the newly added lines based on the line count (possibly).
    It is as if Dreamweaver is holding a cache of the version locally and then only properly looking back to the server when it has been completely closed. It is very difficult to see how the server is causing such an impact on these files, there are very few logs which are giving any indication to the root cause of the problems.
    Anyone know if this is a known issue?
    Is there a way that there can be a featured implemented on the server that doesn't allow another user to open a file if it is already open on another machine?
    Thanks

    Your server file handling has nothing, and really nothing to do with Adobe software. If files don't get locked for (over-)writing and/or lose connection to the program opening them, then your server is misconfigured. It's as plain and simple and that. Anything from "known file types"/ file associations not being set correctly, MIME types being botched, crooked user privileges and file permissions, missing Mac server extensions, delayed file writing on the server, generic network timeout issues and what have you. Either way, you have written a longwinded post with no real value since you haven't bothered to provide any proper technical info, most notably about the alleged server. Either way, the only way you can "fix" it is by straightening out your server and network configuration, not some magic switch in Adobe's software.
