Configuration Guide Cproject & Cfolders

Hi Experts,
Good Day !
Currently we are using SAP ECC 6.0 and want to implement cProjects/cFolders . I am looking for cFolders configuration guide which provides all the necessary details for cFolders set-up. (such as - how to create cFolders URL, System Connections u2013 setting up HTTP servers etc.. ).
Also I will be grateful if someone provides me a step-by-step procedure for cFolders implementation.

cProjects and cFolders form the cProjects Suite solution, although both products can also be used independently. cProjects Suite provides extensive features to collaborate internally/externally with partners using a HTML-like interface and Web application technology.
Difference:cProjects is a project management tool and provides associated functionalities and is web based and hence can be accesses externally in an organisation. It follows a stage gate methodology and has better resource management functions. cFolders is complimentary to cProjects and useful for collaboratively sharing of project related information,documentation.

for cProjects 4.5 information on the configration guide can be found in note 1119326.
in general use http://service.sap.com/instguides and navigate to
"SAP Business Suite Applications" > "SAP PLM"
and there you can find the guides for all delivered cProjects releases.
I hope this provides the pointer needed for all the other participants as well.

WebDAV & cProjects/cFolders

I'm having a problem connecting via WebDAV to cProjects 4.0, but I can't find what steps I must have missed. We do not have Enterprise Portals installed.
The URL for cProjects is http://xxx.yyy.zzz:8001/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/cprojects
In SICF I've created an alias of default_host/cpr_webdav which refers to default_host/sap/cpro and have activated the service default_host/sap/cpro.
In the cprojects "Settings for webDAV" config I've set URL 1 to http://xxx.yyy.zzz:8001/cpr_webdav and ticked cProjects & cFolders.
I'm using 'My Network Places' -> 'Add Network Place' to connect to webDAV and I use http://xxx.yyy.zzz:8001/cpr_webdav as the network address. A login is requested and I enter my SAP UserID and Password (which is the same for all 3 clients on this system). I then get an error message 'The folder you have specified does not appear to be valid'.
I've also tried adding "?sap-client=xxx" to the end of the URL to force a specific client with the same result.
Are there any additional authorisation objects required?
Are there any prerequisite services which need to be enabled?
Have I missed any steps?

you do not need the Enterprise Portal to be installed to use the WebDAV functionality.
The name SAP NetWeaver Portal drive is a little bit misleading.
It is called Portal drive, since it is the WebDAV client for the Knowledge Management (KM) of the portal also.
When using the SAP NetWeaver Portal drive with cFolders no portal is required as the SAP NetWeaver Portal drive acts also as WebDAV client for cFolders. The SAP NetWeaver Portal drive is a 3rd party WebDAV client from a company called XYTHOS (http://www.xythos.com/home/xythos/company/company.html), which can be used by SAP customers for free.
You can download the Installer for the SAP NetWeaver Portal drive from SAP Service Marketplace under http://service.sap.com/swdc

What is BDI or BDS spelled out? Jabber for Mac 9.2(1) Installation and Configuration Guide

I’m spending the day catching up on Jabber/IM&P release notes across the server/clients.
So I’m used to EDI and UDS, but we have a new acronym in the Jabber for Mac 9.2(1) Installation and Configuration Guide called BDI and BDS. However they don’t define what BDI stands for other than BDI is LDAP for non-windows
Clients and suggests it should be used for Jabber for Mac.
What is BDI or BDS spelled out? Something directory integration, but what is the B ?
Then to add to the mix they reference BDS which sounds like the old UDS (is UDS changing to BDS?)
How can Jabber get any more confusing…
I also noted in the Jabber Video for iPad 9.3.4 release notes that Apple is removing the Always Connect option in the near future. This is going to upset some customers who like how Lync uses https and just works from anywhere with enhanced directory integration…

Basic Directory Integration. It's not new, we had it in the Windows clients as far back as CUPC. The distinction got introduced when EDI was introduced, relying on Windows ADSI APIs instead of the client making a native LDAP bind.
To my knowledge BDI/BDS are the same thing; I'm guessing S is 'service'. UDS remains unchanged.
I also noted in the Jabber Video for iPad 9.3.4 release notes that Apple is removing the Always Connect option in the near future.
Well, they lost a patent infringement lawsuit and chose to change the functionality instead of pay the troll. That's not Jabber's fault. Collaboration Edge will be the way to avoid this in the near future.

In Solution Manager, where can I find the SRM 7.0 Configuration Guide?

Please give me directions on how to download the SRM 7.0 configuration guide within Solution Manager, these documents are not available on the service marketplace. We have sol manager 4 I believe, it's not sol manger 7.0.
Also, if you could send me the guide at matt.joseph at thq.com that would save me from losing more time trying to figure out Solution Manger

2. To be able to access configuration documentation, create a project as follows:
1. Create your project with transaction SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN for project administration.
2. Connect your SAP system to SAP Solution Manager with transaction SMSY for the SAP Solution Manager system landscape.
3. Create a project structure and add the required scenarios for your SAP system to your project structure with the Business Blueprint transaction SOLAR01,
4. Add your SAP system configuration structures to your project structure with the configuration transaction SOLAR02.
3. Go to the project structure folder <project name> using transaction SOLAR02.
4. Access configuration documentation for SAP NetWeaver usage types at Configuration StructureSAP NetWeaver 7.0.

For the 'Change of Program' functionality you need to configure the following workflow to your customer need: COP_APPROVAL (WS template: 29800011 via trx PFWS).

If not, should I just open an OSS ticket to get official guide from SAP?

As you said and as it's stated in several SAP Guides: 'Configuration guides are only available in SAP Solution Manager'
But I can't find the config guides in our Solution Manager system...Does our Solution Manager people need to do something in Solution Manager so that I can find the config guides in our Solution Manager?
If anyone has the answer please get back... so that I can put an end to my configuration guide hunt And does someone have a configuration guide for CRM 5.0? If so I would really appreciate if someone could mail it to me at [email protected]

Need configure guide for job progress monitor in JSM

I have received an requirement to setup job progress monitoring in JSM(job schedule monitor).i have done my search in Google for configuration guide, but i could not find it.
My Requirement:- i need to monitor the jobs progress(running on manage system) which consists on nearly 10 setps.End user need to monitoring the job progress using PI diagram.
Guys if any one of you have done this setup please help me with configuration setps.
