    Hi,
So i have configured the system accordingly with the OSS Notes 954816 and  956054. This should allow that knew created master data customers could be replicated in the FDSCM-COL to the business partners.
I'm know trying to use the MDS_LOAD_COCKPIT to migrate the old customers master data but the system seems to not create any data.
Does this transaction needs to have any other configuration more our to activate any BAPI ?
PS: I tried to activate the FDM_PARTNER_MAP_COLL bapi but the system did not allowed stating the message ENHANCEMENT194.

  • ECATT: Failure of eCATT Scripts Due To Changed Configuration & Master Data

    Hello,
=> I am using eCATT mainly for the configuration testing. And with the changes in configuration, field sequences as well as changes in screen sequences were observed which were not there during recording time. So all the affected scripts failed.
Again, with the change in master data, which caused extra screen sequences or Messages which were not there during recording time caused the eCATT scripts failure.
As the same server can be used by different projects where the configuration or mainly the master data will keep on changing, how to ensure the success of eCATT scripts.
=> The target system during recording time was different and at the time of execution is different. So both are maintained in the system data container.
Due to some reason, the recording time target system was removed from the system data container. And new target system was specified at execution time. Scripts failed saying that target system of recording time doesn't exist in system data container. This problem was sorted out by adding again the recording time target system in system data container.
What if the server of recording time is not there physically during execution time? Will the eCATT scripts fail as earlier?
If so then how to workout the situation as the number of scripts are too large to change the target system in script itself.
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,
    >Scripts failed saying that target system of recording >time doesn't exist in system data container.
Please check, if there is really no usage of the "old" target system name anymore. Potential usage could be at some commands or at some command interfaces of disabled commands (meaning "commented" commands).
If you can not find the usage of your old target system which leads to the problem and if you require a solution for that open a sap support ticket.
I think, the whole target system control was also improved from WAS 6.20 to WAS 6.40.

  • Master data in PS: Different interpretations

    Hi Experts,
In certain Business blue prints, i have seen that the project objects like PD, WBS, NWA are described as master data. in some case, the standard templates are specified as PS master data. Of course, as per SAP menu, the work center and statistical key figures are the part of master data.
There is little ambiduity. My understanding is that, master data is the one which is a record for predefined information for repeated usage in transaction. Master data like material, vendor, customer etc falls under this category.
The Project objects are defined specific to transaction.
To avoid various interpretations and arrive unique understanding, i invite comments from experts.
    warm regards

    Hi,
The Project System module uses the work breakdown structure and network as operational data for structuring, planning, and executing projects. Depending on the type of project and how it is configured, master data from other business areas is used in the project.
The Project System module has no organizational units of its own. Depending on the project type and configuration, the organizational units from a wide range of areas are used (sales and distribution, purchasing, production, accounting, controlling, personnel, and so on).
Some of the supporting master data used in PS is listed below,
MM - Material Master, Vendor Master, Purchasing Info Record
SD - Customer Master, Pricing Conditions
PP - Work Center, Bill of Material
FI/CO - Chart of Accounts, Cost Elements, Cost Centers, Activity Types, Activity Prices
PS - Standard WBS Template, Standard Network Template
I would suggest you to refer the help documents instead of Blue prints to gain more understanding on these things.
    With Regards,

  • Master data templete

    Hi All,
I am newly move to ISU from SD, and was trying to configure Master Data Templete in ISU but not able to do it
Can any one please help me with a document how to create Master data templete in ISU,
    Thanks and Regards

MDTs are mostly used for Master Data creation which includes Business Master data (Business Partner and contract account) and Technical Master data (Conn Obj, Premise, installation , etc ).
    [Creation Steps:.|http://sapro.blogspot.com/2008/07/isu-master-data-template-how-to-create.html]
Further, typically, the master data is created during Move-in process in IS-U module.
In the latest version of IS-U i.e ECC 6.0,. the MDTs are called from Park document, whcih is used for move-in/move-out process with ISU. If you are using latest version of CRM (Web IC) then the Park document screen are ready available in CRM so you directly create park doc in ISU via CRM, which further triggers the MDTs during move-in. If you are using CRM version 5 or below then MDT is called from CRM middleware.
Eitherway you need create MDTs based on your requirement atleast one with category BPARTNER (for BP and CA) and one with category CRMNEWCONTRACT for new move-in contract.

These master data are already configured with standard settings and number ranges. If you require different number ranges coming for master datas, then you need to configure the number ranges and then assign them to the material type etc. or if you require customizing material type etc you need to configure that as well.
Otherwise just start creating the master data, no problem.

  • Shared Master Data - SMD Tool Configuration

    Hello Experts,
I have a requirement to generate ALE-IDOC for Customer and Vendor master change. So we are planning to use Shared Master data Tool of SAP.
Have done the settings in BD52, BD50, BD61.  But do i need to configure BD64 ?
My requirement is generate the IDOC in the same client, in the sense when master data is changed IDOC are to be triggered and they will be stored in a shared folder for other system to pick it up.
So we need to have the source and destination as same client....
Not sure whether SHared master data will work for same client ? Please let me know your expert thoughts.

    hi,
Shared Master Data is a component which drives the distribution of any changes in the centralally maintained master data. The SMD component writes a change status in tables BDCP and BDCPS. For EG. whenever you change any data with respect to a material, the changes are logged in two tables namely CDHDR and CDPOS. Now there is a program RBDMIDOC which reads these changes and distributes the same. Change document Object are nothing but the component with which the fields are configured,so that any changes on those fields are recorded. You can find them in Tx. SCDO.
For Material Master the change doc. object is. MATERIAL.
Reward points if you find this useful.

  • Catalog group code data - is it Master data or Configuration data

    Hi all,
Need some clarifications between Master Data and Configuration data. In CRM we use catalog code groups and codes for ticketing systems. The code groups and codes are defined in SPRO (IMG) once and consumed in catalog schema’s at client level. I refer to  this code groups and codes in SPRO as Master Data, cause it is shared across modules and does not change so frequently. However I was recently corrected by my manger that since it is transportable it cannot be Master Data, it is configuration data. And tasked to contact SAP and get the correct/official answer. Is it configuration data or master data and what is the determination.
BTW, allow me to clarify that we like to know the right answer for proper documentation and this is not the who’s right challenge J

1.server creates new client thread for each newly accepted connection Good. Make sure the server doesn't do any I/O in the accepting thread, including even construction of input and output streams.
2.if one of these client threads receives some data from the client, then:
    3. this client thread creates new ControlThread object (and passes received data to it )Why? What does the Control thread do that the client thread can't do? Does the client thread really create a new Control thread per piece of received data? What's the purpose of the Control thread here?
    4. ControlThread object in turn spawns a new thread Again why?
From your description you appear to be creating:
    (a) a thread per connection
    (b) a thread per piece of received data
    (c) another thread per (b)
What you probably need for a chat server is an input thread and an output thread per connection. The output thread should read a queue and the input thread should write to the appropriate queue(s), making sure you don't create a loop by sending the client's own data back to him.
    5. Finally, this spawned thread will send data to all client apps.No. Use one output thread per connection, as described above. As writing to a socket can block, you shouldn't use a single thread for writes to more than one client, otherwise the whole system can stall due to one non-co-operating client.
    a) how scalable is this server app? It's about as non-scalable as it could possibly be. You will have an explosion of threads per item of data received if you've described it correctly, and you already have too many threads per connection.
    b) what would youve done differently ( in terms of basic program structure )?Almost everything: see above.
Perhaps creating ControlThread object each time data needs to be sent to other client apps is a bad ideaMost definitely.

  • Master Data and Configuration Synchronization

    Hi,
I need to synchronize a HR system with an ECC system (ECC contains more modules than HR) in terms of configuration and master data. I can not use a client copy as I can not delete what is inside the ECC system at this moment.
My first approach was to use ALE configuration but we are having some issues with network and I need to find a workaround for this until I have connectivity between both systems.
Can anyone help me to find any way to synchronize both systems until we have connectivity between both systems?
    Thanks

    Hi Naresh,
You need to use Billing Plans for Service Contracts Scenario to create BRI items.
In the Billing Plan - you can assign whether it is a Periodic Billing or Milestone Billing. Then you need to assign this billing plan to item categories. So based on the period (monthly, quarterly, yearly) - the BRI items will be generated.
So Please try using Billing Plans for your scenario. As you mentioned earlier, you are using ECC for all Billing purposes. So the system will create one Debit Memo Request document per Contract and it will each line item for each of the BRI's in Service Contract. System will not generate one DMR per BRI item.
You can check the BRI items generated at the item level --> Billing Plan Tab page (Assignment Block in Web UI).
    Hope this helps.

  • How to configure CVC automation process using SNP master data and BI customer master data

    Hi Gurus,
How to configure CVC automation in MPOS structure technically, using SNP master data in CVC creation such as Product and location details
and in parallel extract date from ECC to BI customer master data in DP. Where-in a APO BI cube should have only new combinations which are to be validated with ECC and existing combinations in the MPOS structure before creation of CVC in different regions of MPOS.
Second the automation should also check certain validations of product, location and are part of SNP-ECC master data and are these new combinations.
Could someone guide us in this process.
    Thanks
    Kumar

    Praveen,
The short answer is to move the data into infoproviders or flat files for all of the 'characteristic-type' source data; and then copy CVCs from the infoproviders into the Planning area, probably using one or more Process Chains (program /SAPAPO/TS_PLOB_MAINTAIN).
The long answer is that this is not a trivial undertaking; this could end up being a pretty involved solution.  If you do not have enough BW/DP expertise available locally to create this solution for you, then I recommend you consider engaging external resources to assist you.  I personally wouldn't even consider starting to work on such a solution without first knowing a lot more about the detailed business requirements, and about any existing solutions that may already in place.  An SCN forum is not really suitable for such an answer.  In my opinion, the BBP doc alone would be 20+ pages, assuming no enhancements..

  • Diffrence btw configurable and master data?

can anyone pls tell me the difference between configurable data and master data?
    thanks
    Edited by: tracey_hrecc6.0 on Sep 30, 2010 5:20 PM

Configuration Data is what is created by the people who work on the software (an example would be the data created in various tables while creating Periodic Work Schedule Rules and the DWS & PWS behind them)
while the Master Data is what is created by the users of the software (an example would be the data created when a user saves the IT0007 that identifies what Periodic Work Schedule Rule an employee is assigned to).

  • Master Data Configuration

I am looking for Master Data Configuration Step by Step guide.
my contact info is asharkazmi at the rate of hotmail dot com

    Ashar, (and Abhishek)
Please do not use e-mail addresses in this forum.  It means that the info will go only to you.  This deprives all of the other users the benefit of any answers.
Master data does not have it's own configuration guide.  The way that your master data will be configured is totally dependent on the business scenario you are creating.  Most of the critical steps are contained in the configuration docs for the scenarios.
Review the basic Materials Management configuration guide below.  It should get you started for a basic purchasing environment.  This version localized for Pakistan for the benefit of Ashar.

The important configuration for a vendor is the relationships between the vendor and the various organizational structures in your company(s).  For these relationships to be configured, you first need to know how your company(s) will be structured, as mentioned in the earlier posting.  For some hints, look in the above link under Enterprise structure and Enterprise structure extensions.

  • Error while deleting master data (Message no. RSDMD118)

    Dear all,
I am performing a test to create and delete new Company Codes in Consolidation Workbench.
Creation of new Company Codes went on successfully but deleting them give me the following error message upon saving:
    Error while deleting master data
    Message no. RSDMD118
Since they are new Company Codes, they have not been used and stored in any BW cubes. Any idea on why BCS prevents me from deleting them?
Appreciate assistance to troubleshoot and resolve this error.
    Thank you.

Thank you both for your replies.
I am sure those are not the case here as I deleted the Company immediately after creating it.
Just to make sure, I performed "Where-Used List" again and BCS confirmed that it is not being used anywhere:
Use of: Company UAT1 UAT Company 1
    Number of Uses Found: 0
However, the same error message was displayed again after I tried to delete the Company and save the configuration. Still can't find any solid reason behind this.
