Configuration of ESR in CE

Hi,
Currently i am configuring CE 7.2 system. In the SAP documentation its mentioned that i can configure the ERS on CE by executing the step Configuration of ESR in CE from the wizard.

But i could not find any step as such in the list. Could some one please help where can i find it? Or am i missing something here?
Here the actual plan is that we will use the ESR of PI.

Hello Prasad,
These wizards are available in NetWeaver Administrator(NWA). To get into NWA, first enter the startpage of server ex: http://<host>:<port>. Click on NetWeaver Administrator(NWA). Then, Configuration Management -> Scenarios -> Configuration Wizard.
It should list the option to configure the ESR.

Hi,
Steps to be configiured after tnstalling CE 7.1 and ESR in NWA
1. Initial setup of Functional unit SLD
2. Configuration of Services Registry Webservice Destinations
3. then follow the step of Configuration of ESR.
make sure the above steps are successful.
Actually even I have got the same error but whoile trying the same steps it worked fine.

I am continuously facing problem while doing the post installation steps for Configuration of ESR in CE.

Thanks for the reply and forwarding the problem to the developemnt team.
As I mentioned that the execution of the ESR failed when it reaced to 97%.
The error was it was not able to find some ..xi.. component and if you go to the log you will find that (come to the end in the log i.e. mentioned above)

And also I am following one help from 'http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwesrce/helpdata/en/46/b3a7d01b475a62e10000000a11466f/frameset.htm' and they say that you will have the 'zero admin template'.
But when I go to 'Configuration Management > Infrastructure > Java System Properties
In the template I can see 3 things and theya are:
1. instance_development
2. CE_Complete_Stack_development_full
ID43799
3. CE_Composition_Environment_development_full
and there is no zero admin template as given in the help that I getting from the above guide.
I think this is the issue (missing zero admin template)
I got this from the SMP but dont know when and how to deploy to CE.
Can you please help me in this.

Error occurs during configuration of ESR in CE

I'm doing the "Configuration of ESR in CE" senario in the NWA.
In the final step: Importing XI content
following error happened:
Error: Password cannot be null or empty
and I found following exception in log:

After restarting the whole cluster and resume the configuration, following error infomation has been found:

Configuration of ESR in CE- restart Problem

We executed the ESR configuration by selecting the ESR configuration profile in ConfigTool. But due to some error the configuration task failed and as a result the ESR-SLD linkage was not configured properly. Now we have the local SLD of NW CE SP03 up and running. How can we configure that for the ESR so that ESR can access the local SLD for importing the SWCV?
In the Configuration Wizard in NWA we see the the configuration task "Configuration of ESR in CE" is showing the status Incompletely Executed. But the Start, Resume and Re-execute buttons are all disabled. So how can we correct the SLD configuration?

Hello Prasad,
These wizards are available in NetWeaver Administrator(NWA). To get into NWA, first enter the startpage of server ex: http://<host>:<port>. Click on NetWeaver Administrator(NWA). Then, Configuration Management -> Scenarios -> Configuration Wizard.
It should list the option to configure the ESR.

Error in configuring initial setup of "Configuration of ESR in CE"

Hello,
I have installed SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 with ESR. But in wizard configuraiton execution of "Configuration of ESR in CE" it shows me the error "Importing XI Content" com.sap.xi.ctc.app file is not found.
I have gone through some Notes on the service market place, it says to configure this file manually in CE by using "Enterprise Service Builder". But the option what in note mentioned is not found in my enterprise service builder. The portal where these detail manual configuration steps are written is in PI 7.1.
Do I have to install PI 7.1 on the same server that CE configuration wizard finds the missing file??? or any other recommendation???

You don't need to install PI 7.1.
You need to download the content as mentioned in the weblog & upload it manually..

Basically you are using target system using soap adapter as receiver.
Import the WSDL In ESR as external definition.
use external message type in the message type tab to choose mesg from WSDL.
create receiver service interface as usual and specify wsdl message as message type.
Message Mapping again choose source message your sender message type and receiver as reciever mesg type(one you picked from the WSDL)
Operation mappping is pretty same
Configure soap receiver channel.
two things
specify wsdl url (find out soap address location tab in the wsdl)
and action (if required) other leave blank.

We are trying to send to our SNC system the standard XML Message PurchaseOrderERPReplenishmentOrderCollaborationNotification_Out when we create a purchase Order. We are able to generate and see the XML message in SXMB_MONI but the XML status Message is Green flag not Checker.. The Queue status is stop.. (The Queue is registered). But there is no receiver in the standard XML message... Where do we populate this... In the Integration Engine? What is the standard Scenario to use?

did you connect SCN with PI/XI ? for proxy communication ?
if not this is a start
then you need to configure PI/XI to push the message wherever you want

Configuration error ESR and ARIS 7.1

Hello,
I'm verifying Enterprise Modeling, integrating ESR.
I've got a license key for ESR integration extension and able to find ESR logon function.
But in ESR logon procedure, I have a problem and I cannot complete logon.
After I entered user/password and successfully logged on to ESR Server,
Filter and Language selection screen came up without any filter to select. So we can not go to next step.
Do you have any advice?

I met the same error and I solved it... you've just to load in your ESR environnement the lastest version of SC SAP BASIS 7.11 and attach to your profil the unrestricted view.

The problem is that I can´t find this note...perhaps it´s not released.

Configure ESR in CE

Working through the installation guide for CE and taking guidence from Amir Glatts excellent blogg:

Up to the Configuration of ESR in CE (netWeaver initial set-up step 54/449) and I get the following message:
"Error: Invoked component sap.com/tcsldctc_ear is not found. The reason for this error is either an undeployed library/application or a non-started application."
Retry step doesn't clear this - can't find any specific references to this problem in terms of CE set-up and I'm obviously reluctant to Skip Step.
Any guidence appreciated.

Object / Namespace Scope in ESR

We have a file2RFC scenario in our current Pi 7.0 that we need to move on to Pi 7.11. It consists of a sender SC and a receiver SC. The sender SC contanins a namespace with the sender SI and the receiver SC contains the RFC target structure and the mapping (java). There it works fine.
In PI 7.11 I got following two problems with this scenario:
1. I cannot export the source XSD schema in the OM -> because the namespace of the SI of the sender SC cannot be found altough the object is selected in the Source Operation area.
2. I got the same problem inside my Java Mapping. There the namespace in the sender cannot be found.
The whole thing works, if i move the SI to my receiver SC.
How can i configure my ESR to find the namespace and according objects in another SC?

Do you mean, that i need to configure the sender SC as underlying Software Component Version on the Details Ribbon?
If i do so, the XSD export works but the mapping doesn't.

ESR connectivity with third party systems

Hi all
As given in the documents related to PI 7.1. Services from SAP CE and SAP PI can be configured into ESR. Is it possible to configure a webservice hosted by third party into ESR and any guidlines present for the same. Any pointers will be helpful.

Ok, i think that should be no problem, it may seem confusing but in fact the ESR is just a kind of Design Repository where Service Definitions without any context to a concret system are stored.
The Service Registry (which i think you are looking for) is another thing, you can publish Service Defintions also
from the ESR or the Integration Directory into the Service Registry, but i don't think that is necessary in the usage you like to achieve.
You can do that "directly" by publishing it either with the UDDI Api or on the web interface of the service registry
which lays under the url <host>:<port>/sr (see tab publish) or this blog:

Not able to consume any service out of ESR or Service Registry

I have installed trial version of SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 EHP 1^with ESR. I have also install Visual Composer. I want to make some exercises to make my concept clear but I am not able to find any service from the Find option in the VC. I have also tried to consume any service in Webdynpro project and trying to create model from ESR or Service Registry but It does not connect to ESR.
Your recommendations are welcome.

One thing I am not sure about is, when I go to configure initial setup by using configuration wizard. There is one error (file missing on importing XI content) when I am going to execture "Configuration of ESR in CE" task from the task list in the configuration wizard. I think becasue of that I am not able to consume services in VC and webdynpro projects!!!
What do you say???
If also think the same then can I install some how missing xi content to ESR??? I have seen on service market place when I go to ESR - component list.
Or you recommend me to install PI/XI on my server then this missing component should be installed automatically???

Re run Configuration Wizards

I've installed ESR on CE and ran the configuration wizard "Configuration of ESR in CE"
I missconfigured the sld host, appending the "http//" prefix, and now ESR attempts to connect to http:

how can I re-run the configuration wizard so I correct this situation?

Unfortunately, with the SP3 release of ESR, it is not possible to run re-run the Configuration Wizard. But you don't have to do so to fix the problem - The configuration wizard only takes you through the step-by-step process.
You can change the settings manually by modifying the ESR properties. The post installation documentation is available here
