Configuration of ESX VSAN Health Extension: not installed (unknown)

/localhost/GV/computers> vsan.health.cluster_status 0
Configuration of ESX VSAN Health Extension: not installed (unknown)
Per-Host details:
Host 'gvvsan2.rpionline.com' has health system version '6.0.0' installed
Host 'gvvsan3.rpionline.com' has health system version '6.0.0' installed
Host 'gvvsan1.rpionline.com' has health system version '6.0.0' installed
vCenter Server has health system version '6.0.0' installed
I installed the plugin into vCenter and then used Update Manager to install the VIBs to the hosts.  All seemed to go well, but the UI says status is Unknown (at least one host is not connected.) and I get the above from RVC.
Is there another step?  Is it as simple as clicking enable in the UI now that the VIBs have been installed?  Thank you, Zach.

Zach,
What should happen is the following:
1. Use VUM to install the health VIB again.
2. After the cluster is remediated successfully, a "retry" button should be visible on the health page.
3. Click retry button on the health page.
4. The install task will sync the VIB status (should finish in just a few minutes)
5. The status of health service turns into ‘Enabled’.
Let me know if this is what happens.

  • Library extensions not installing properly from updates

Since an update about 3 months ago, every download for updates has resulted in the message "Udate Installed Successfully" followed by over 20 alert messages that System/Library/Extension ... such and such (.kext) was not installed correctly. Most of these seem to be printer drivers, but not all. For instance, "'BJUSBLoad.kext' was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product's vendor for an update." Also: exfat.kext, AppleSDXC.kext, AppleMCP89RootPortPM.kext, AppleMCCSControl.kext, IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin.kext ....
(After the above mentioned update about 3 months ago, I attempted to fix permissions and messed it up so badly, I found myself locked out of my own 'puter - it apparently didn't recognize me - and had to take it in to an authorized repair shop for an expensive fix to override and rewrite my user ID (at least, I think that's what they did). Everything except my printer seems to have been working fine since then. I don't know if this is relevant to the issue or not, but may be ... ?)
Anyway, how do I fix this? For two months I could not print from my Epson Artisan 725 - but either my son's attempts to fix it or the latest update seems to have done something that has got it printing, instead of just producing an error message. So I guess my immediate crisis of not being able to print is resolved.
But I don't know what all this other stuff means. Do they signal something important? And why they are not updating properly?
Is it an issue on your end that you're aware of ... or need to be aware of? I'm operating on an iMac 21.5" running one partition on 10.6.8 and a second partition running Maverick. (I'm so glad I partitioned my Mac and kept the 10.6.8! So much I use daily ... like my Solitaire and other games ... are not yet available for Maverick.) Not sure, but I think I've only downloaded the updates on the 10.6.8 partition ... as that's where I am most of the time.

  • Extension not installing on Mac, works on Windows

I have written a safari extension which I'm able to install on Windows Safari, but it's not installing on a Mac Safari. On mac, when the link to the extension is clicked, executable text shows up (the initial bit is pasted here) -

The extension is available here http://snake.ims.uwm.edu/articlesearch/extensions.php . It was packaged on a Windows Safari (I don't have access to a Mac, but the bug was reported from two different sources).
Any idea why this might be happening?

Thanks. The following code worked for me (for others!)
    <?php

  • Guid Guide Extension not installing saying its already installed for Photoshop CC 2014

    1) I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the extension manager cc multiple times.
    2) I have uninstalled Photoshop CC 2014 and reinstalled it
    3) and yes both are up to date

Thanks... I grabbed it (all of them, actually) but now I'm having trouble installing them (not an Adobe problem, I don't think; they recently changed a bunch of security protocols here and I think that's what's preventing me from running the updater).
I am curious, though: if there was an update to the Extension Manager (and there were FIVE of them) why does my Creative Cloud app tell me that I'm up to date????

  • Novell File Upload extension not Installing

I am trying to install the Novell File Upload extension so I can upload my PE file. It will not let me install the plugin in IE or Firefox. I have tried Firefox 22 and IE 8. I have tried from an XP, Win7 and 2003 server. I have tried all of the Active X switches in IE and I have tried the adding the about:config entries in Firefox.
Has anyone gotten this to work? To be honest this is the first time I have tried to get it to work so I can not say it was working before I updated. I went from 11.2.1 mu2 to 11.2.4.

  • Post-wait kernel extension not installed

    Hi,
    I've installed Oracle 9i 9.201 onto AIX 5L.
The problem I'm having is that the Oracle post-wait kernel extension (consisting of 2 files; pw-syscall and loadext) which are meant to be installed into the /etc folder by rootpre.sh do not get installed. Subsequently, I get an error when trying to start the Oracle RDBMS.
The rootpre.sh is supposed to pull them from the Installation CD, but they are not on it. Does anyone know where I can get these files, or know how to get them installed?
    Any and all help appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Barry.

    Hi Fredrik,
I'm working with Barry on this issue. To answer your questions:
    Hardware: RS /6000 44P Model 270
    Kernel: 64 bit
    Oracle DB Software: 64 bit
We have the Oracle CDs for 5L that can be downloaded from the Oracle website. They come in the form of 4 .gz files named Disk 1 to 4. I assume the pw-syscall and loadext files should be on Disk 1 of the four disks. "rootpre.sh" seems to expect the files to be there, but they aren't.
The results of the commands you asked for are as follows:
    #/=>ls -l /unix
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root system 21 Jan 6 16:59 /unix -> /usr/lib/boot/

  • Trusted Extensions not installing correctly - Solaris 10 x86 11/06

I've installed Solaris 10 11/06 x86 selecting the "development" install, and I assigned 7GB to the root slice and 3GB to /export/home. The install goes fine, so I then install Trusted Extensions. After installing Trusted Extensions and rebooting, the Trusted Extensions CDE desktop is not listed as a login option. The JDS Trusted Extensions desktop is listed, but attempting to login to it gives the error "Your X Server has not been set up with SUN_TSOL extension to login to Trusted JDS. Select ordinary JDS to login", and the login fails. Are there any required steps that are not listed in the documentation, or are Trusted Extensions broken in Solaris 10 version 11/06? Any tips at all are greatly appreciated.

It took me a few days of headaches, but I finally figured it out! I'm working under VMWare, and installing VMWareTools in Solaris 10 seems to somehow break the Trusted Extensions. There are no errors, the Trusted Extension features just don't work. When I installed the Trusted Extensions first I did get the Trusted CDE desktop and it logged in just fine, but after installing VMWareTools the desktop option disappeared from the login menu. I hope this helps someone else.

  • LSH error on installation server: Could not install DS as a service

    Hi
we set up an installation server some time ago. In the past all users had administrative privileges therefore no LSH was necessary. Currently we are upgrading from Windows XP to Windows 7 and the users won't be admins anymore. That's why LSH is necessary now.
I tried to set the LSH up, but when I confirmed the DS und IS data in the LSH configuration, the following error appeared:
Could not install DS as a service
The server provides SAP GUI 7.20 PL 8
The installer version is 8.6.1.72 (latest!?) and reffering to note 1587566 didn't result in any solution. A similar problem is mentioned in thread LSH on installation-server fails with "Could not start DS as a service" but it doesn't help me either.
Did anyone figure out similar problems with LSH or knows a workaround/fix?
    Kind regards

  • IMac Graphics FW Update 1.0.2 will not install

Configuration is iMac 7,1 ATI Radeon HD 2600 graphic card and Mac OS X 10.6.1 installed. A subsequent download of iMac Graphics FW Update 1.0.2, and an installation attempt resulted in message that the firmware update was not needed on my computer. In another forum, I read that someone else with the same HW configuration and OS level also could not install this firmware. Is this firmware somehow included with Mac OS X 10.6.1 or does the firmware installer have a bug?

    Ah! The all-important detail!
Then, I have no idea why you can't install it. I suggest downloading a clean copy manually and trying again. If you get the same issue, try a safe mode boot and installing there. Details in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1455 and http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1564

  • Extension for Motif Flash Ad Kit will not install

I followed the directions given on this page:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/rich_media_ads/articles/flash_ad_kit03.html
I downloaded the extension from Doubleclick. I installed the
extension successfully. The templates are not available in the
Flash UI. What did I do wrong? See this screenshot -
    http://plutonomy.org/no_motif_install.jpg
    - It shows the Flash UI, my Configuration folder with the Motif
components installed, the Extension Manager with Flash Ad Kit
installed. But no way to use the templates... Very confused.

I'd like to add that there are several errors with this
Double-click extension. It would not install on a Windows XP
machine with CS3, stating "This extension requires Macromedia Flash
MX or greater. Quitting." Oh, CS3 isn't greater??
Also, I found the Window > Other Panels on my Mac version
(where the extension did install but doesn't show up on the welcome
screen) and when I try to open the Motif Panel, I get several
Javascript errors and the panel opens up with blank content.
I will be sending a note to the author of the tutorial. Users
trying to develop Flash ads with the Flash Ad Kit be warned - it
    doesn't work!!

  • Extension Manager CS4 not installing extensions in Dreamweaver CS4

Just installed CS4 Design Premium. Now i want to install some
    extensions to Dreamweaver.
When I click on the extension to install it I get a message
    from the Extension Manager saying:
"This extension can not be installed, it products requires
Dreamweaver 6 or greater. To install this extension, please try to
install Dreamweaver CS4 or use Extension Manager CS3 which works
with Adobe CS3 and earlier products."
I have even tried to install it by opening the Extension
    Manager from Dreamweaver via the
Commands menu, with the same results.
    - I have version 2.0.274 of Adobe Extension Manager CS4.
    - I do not see the Dreamweaver icon in Extension Manager's
    product list*
    - I tried to reinstall Dreamweaver
    (which also reinstalled Extension Manager)
    - Easy to forget; I am on a Mac
    - The extensions should be okay, as they install quite nice
    in Dreamweaver CS3
I tried to look for a
plist to edit, but as I do not really know what to look for
    this action failed.
*in the same order i find the icons of Flash CS4, Fireworks
    CS4, Photoshop CS4, Indesign CS4, Illustrator CS4 and Bridge CS4 in
    the products list.

What extensions are you trying to install?

  • Extensions were not installed properly is this normal?

Hi, I recently did an erase and install of Snow Leopard. After the install I used Migration assistant to restore all my files. Before it completed I got about 7 messages that extensions were not installed properly and need to be reinstalled. One of them had something to do with my Canon Printer and the other was for my Elgato TV Tuner. I'm not sure what the other extensions were. Is it normal for some extensions to not restore correctly after using Migration assistant?

Those aren't available in SL as such. Just reinstall, which removes all OS components, puts down new ones, and leaves everything else in place. E&I requires you to use Disk Utility to erase and then separately to reinstall. Erasing removes everything, requiring reinstalling all 3rd-party things and resetting all preferences, a veritable PITA.

  • Extensions not showing up in dwcs4 after installing successfully

I have dwcs4 & extension mgr. I have installed extensions in extension mgr. successfully according to it but when I go back into dwcs4 they do not appear under the tcn widgets tool bar. dwcs4 does appear in my extension mgr. & is highlighted in blue when I click on an extension to install it. I have noticed that the extensions do not show their individual icons next to their names but the puzzle piece instead even after I install them & get the "installed successfully" confirmation. I also notice that if I try to install them again they are still in the "c:\users\myname\documents\downloads file which I would think they should be some place else. document download.  Can someone tell me how to manually place the extensions into dwcs4 so that they appear in the tcn widgets tool bar?

    Hi
I have the exact same problem.
Adobe Extension Manager indicates that the extension is properly installed. But when I open Dreamweaver I cannot find the extension.
Is there perhaps a way to install the extension manually?
