Configuration of FDQM question??

I did a fresh install of FDM, I have unchecked ERP integrator. We did this install on a Windows 2003 machine.
Please note that the rest of the Web Tier components such as SharedServices, Planning, workspace and other web application are on a separate Linux box using Web Logic and Oracle HTTP Server, and are configured to deploy to the Web Logic domain and use Oracle HTTP Server.
I am now attempting to configure FDM.
I configured it to connect to the Shared Services on the Linux based Web Tier mentioned above.
When asked to configure the web server, I have to choose IIS. But the configurator is apparently asking to configure web analysis, Planning, EAS etc web applications on IIS. Is this correct behavior? Will this configure these applications to IIS instead of Oracle HTTP Server to which we have configured it as mentioned above?
Pls advise if we should proceed with this configuration, if this is correct.

Whose Oracle Http Server as the Webserver & give the same port number you gave to configure the oracle http server in the linux box.
Hope it should resolve u r issue.
Good Luck...!!!!!!

  • Listener configuration and other questions

I have installed 2 database instances on the same database and under the same database home.
The instances use the same listener. If i try to start enterprise manager in browser for both instances,
the Enterprise Manager starts just for the last installed instance. I have edited the listener.ora file an
added one more Description with another port number like folowing:
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = fusion)(PORT = 1522))
    to the following content:
    LISTENER_APPDB =
    (DESCRIPTION_LIST =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = fusion)(PORT = 1521))
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(KEY = EXTPROC1521))
now the file looks like following:
    LISTENER_APPDB =
    (DESCRIPTION_LIST =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = fusion)(PORT = 1521))
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(KEY = EXTPROC1521))
         (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = fusion)(PORT = 1522))
    ADR_BASE_LISTENER_APPDB = D:\app\oracle2
    SID_LIST_LISTENER_APPDB =

    (PROGRAM = extproc)
    (ENVS = "EXTPROC_DLLS=ONLY:D:\app\oracle2\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\bin\oraclr11.dll")
i have also changed the port of one of the instances in the tnsnames.ora file from 1521 to 1522.
Now it is possible to start Enterprise Manager for both instances. But after i connect to one of the
instances with the Enterprise Manager the other instance logs of. Is it ok so??? Will i have problems
with this configuration?? Should i do something different??
Second question: After i have installed an instance, during the installation some patches where
automaticaly installed. After that i have installed another instance. Do i have to patch this instance too???
Are the patches installed for the whole DBMS or just for one instance???
*Third question: If i have 2 instances how can i set the parameter btree_bitmap_plans for only*
one of the instances ??? I have found the following code to do this:
    ALTER SYSTEM SET "_b_tree_bitmap_plans"=false SCOPE=SPFILE;
but for wich instance the parameter will be set for both or just for one? Do i have to choose
one of the instances?? How can i do that??

  • IPhone Configuration Utility showing question mark as device picture

My iPhone Configuration Utility doesn't work properly and I don't know how to solve it. As you can see in the picture, the Configuration Utility shows a question mark insted of the device picture of my iPhone 5 (iOS Version 6.1.3).
I can't find out what the reason is, but I guess it is the cause why I can't install my Configuration Profile (Message: "Profile Installation Failed", "The profile could not be added to the device."). I tried enabling encryption of backups of my device, but the configuration profile still fails to install.
    Any advice?
    Thanks in advance!

    Thank you for your concern.
Unfortunately, I tried various fixes, like changing the USB cable, choosing another USB port, trying it on the Boot Camp partition, trying it on other Machines and PCs, I even restored my iOS, but nothing got the Configuration Utility to like my iPhone...
What I did then was mailing the certificates to myself and by simply opening the attachements within the Mail App on the iPhone it allowed me to install it from there.
Long story short: it turned out I could do it without the Configuration Utility and that the iPhone is capable of configuring/installing the profiles directly when you send it over.

  • RFC Sender Adapter configuration - Program ID question

    Hello All,
I am working on a Sync RFC(R/3) --> XI --> Webservice scenario. I have a question on Program ID's. We're going to be having different RFC's call the same webservice. In that case, we'll have one scenario for each RFC sender.
Do we need to create different TCP/IP ports and Program ID's in R/3 for each RFC sender or just one TCP/IP port and Program ID can be used by all RFC's from R/3?
    Please respond with your suggestions.
    Thanks in advance.
    Karthik

    Aamir,
Buddy please correct me if i'm wrong!! As u said u will design this as single scenario with conditional receiver determination, Wht happen if I create RFC channel under some other Business Service with same Program ID. In this case my receiver is different isn't it!!!
The key is Outbound Interface .. If the RFC sends BAPI_GET_DETAIL with say ProgramID TEST_1000 the corresponding interface in XI will be triggered, similarly if the RFC sends RFC_READ_TABLE with same program ID TEST_1000 the corresponding interface will be triggered?
Is the above example make sense, please correct me if my understanding is wrong.
    raj.

  • Configuration manager showing question marks???

    Hello,
I installed BI Applications Configuration Manager as a requirement for the complete installation of BI APPS. For some reason I get something like this all over the application:
    ???configmanager.welcome_title???
    ???configmgr.etlparams_text???
    ???configmgr.pkgconfig_text???
    ???configmgr.etlexec_text???
Welcome to Oracle Business Intelligence Applications Configuration Manager
This is just the homepage of the tool. The Manager is fully functional but as you can imagine it is quite hard to work with it since there are no 'normal' headings or links, or column names.
Has anyone had this kind of problem in the past?
    Thanks,
    Luka

Then there is no specific reason to have an additional DP for just one of the domains. As mentioned, site roles should be divided by locations. Clients use the network access account if needed -- trusts are irrelevant for ConfigMgr client management -- as
mentioned, ConfigMgr doesn't care about AD for management purposes..
Having said that though, you will need 5-10 DPs (given the supported number of client connections for a DP is 4,000).

  • Configuration Migration Tool Question

    Hi
I trying to migrate a FIM configuration from one server to another.
While following the steps described in "Introduction to the Configuration Migration Tool" document I get an error in step 8.
Join-FIMConfig : Two objects with the same AnchorAttributeValue were detected.  A requirement for using this migration
tool is that AnchorAttributeValue is unique within an Object Type.

I am not ware, that I have changed anything in the portal itself at all. I only have custom Sync rules, Sets and MPRs defined.
How can I determin which those objects are that make the trouble here?
What are preferred join rules to overcome this problem?
    Thanks in advance.
    Henry

I'm having the exact same error, but for other attributes:
Join-FIMConfig : Two objects with the same AnchorAttributeValue were detected.  A requirement for using this migration

    ObjectID 2 = urn:uuid:9f35c912-18bb-4b73-b128-281be0cae32f
Any tips on how to resolve this? These are built-in attributes, so I think I didn't cause this. When does he actually complain about duplicate values? Because there are more objects with duplicate DisplayNames...

  • 785G-E53 (DDR3) - Is CPU Voltage configurable ? (presale question)

    Hi,
i'm searching for the board which fits my needs, 785G-E53 looks like it (even if it does have 1 less SATA port due eSATA which i don't need), but since this is going to be a low power machine with Sempron 140 then CPU voltage adjustment is a must (on current board this Sempron 140 runs with 1.05V Vcore).
Because manual is not entirely clear on this, i would like to see a confirmation from MSI or someone who owns this board that this boards allows you to change CPU Voltage.
    Thanks

You also need to take into consideration the low cost $50-$80 micro ATX MB's seldom have the BIOS features their full size more expensive brothers do.
The BIOS features of both boards were pretty much comparable (it was GA-M85M-US2H (rev. 1.1), price in USD converted from EUR is close to $90), i account the difference to chipset, RAM module difference (1xDDR2 vs 3xDDR3) and different VRM.

Lowering the processor speed, in MHz, will also lower power consumption. Performance will drop, too.
Another thing to consider is the PSU itself. 75% or 85% efficiency will amount to quite a lot. Normally PSU:s are configured for a certain level of demand, for example 100W. If you find a PSU specialising in low power consumption you will save a little more. I have had good experiences with Nexus PSU:s in that respect.
Lowering MHz does lower the power consumption, but not as much as lowering Vcore, and with 5 hard drives 61W is a extremly good result IMHO. PSU is not a issue here, that computer uses my spare Corsair HX520. Unfortunately i had two Enermax Modu82-425 going to RMA, so i don't really trust Enermax anymore even if the issues were rather small (clicking fan noise in 2nd case, electric buzz even with PSU turned off to 0 position in 1st case).
The real thing i dislike is the peak power usage when i turn the computer on, it jumps up to 110W (now and before board change too), which makes it impossible to use the picoPSU.

  • I want to set up the Time Machine and I would love to use the Time  Capsule but since I already have a wireless router I need suggestions on  what other external disks Apple could recommend to use with the Time Machine and  how to configure that disk

I want to set up the Time Machine and I would love to use the Time
Capsule but since I already have a wireless router I need suggestions on
    what other
external disks Apple could recommend to use with the Time Machine and
    how to configure that disk.
A complication that I need to resolve is the fact that I am using Vmware
Fusion to be able to use Windows on my Mac. Now it seems that Time
Machine is not backing up my files
on that virtual Windows without additional configuration and my question
is whether you can advise me here or whether this is only a matter for
    the Fusion virtual machine.

If you want to use Time Capsule you can.. you simply bridge it and plug it into the existing router.. wireless can be either turned off or used to reinforce the existing wireless.. eg use 5ghz in the TC which is much faster than your 2.4ghz.
You can also use a NAS.. many brands available but the top brands are synology, qnap and netgear readynas  series. These will all do Time Machine backups although how well always depends on Apple sticking to a standard. There are cheaper ones.. I bought a single disk zyxel which was rebadged and sold through my local supermarket. It actually works very well for TM at least on Snow Leopard. Major changes were made in Lion and again ML so do not instantly think it will work on later versions. I haven't tried it yet with those versions.
Any external drive can be plugged into the mac. Use the one with the fastest connection or cheapest price according to your budget. USB2 drives are cheap and plentiful. But no where near as fast as USB3 or FW800. So just pick whichever suits the ports on your Mac. Interesting Apple finally moved to USB3 on their latest computers.
TM should exclude the VM partition file.. it is useless backing it up from Mac OS side.. and will slow TM as it needs to backup that partition everyday for no purpose.. TM cannot see the files inside it to backup just the changes.
You need to backup windows from windows. Use MSbackup to external drive.. if you have pro or ultimate versions you can backup to network drive. But MSbackup is a dog.. at least until the latest version it cannot restore the partition without first loading windows. There are about a zillion backup software versions for windows.. look up reviews and buy one which works for you. I use a free one Macrium Reflect which does full disk backups and is easy to restore.. to do incremental backups though you have to pay for it.

  • Security Question Password Re-Set

Hi we are going through the process of enabling users to change there own password, this is to fall in line with a change in UME source to AD, so we don't have to e-mail hundreds of users with new passwords, we are collecting all the information now enabling the security question so when it comes to switch over they can just answer there pre defined question and set there own password.
So we are not going into this blind and our service desk have an idea of how many calls they may get or so we can find out if no one has filled in the information
We would like to know how many people have filled this information in, is there any way to find out which users or even just how many users have configured there security question???
    Any help is greatly appreciated

I haven't spent the time to implement one. Your DBA should be able to write the SQL query, all he/she needs to know is that the relevant table is UME_STRINGS of the portal database schema <SID>. The query could first query all distinct users (column PID) where one of the security questions is set (eg. NAMESP = com.sap.security.core.usermanagement, ATTR = securityquestionpredefined, VAL = SECURITY_QUESTION_%). Security questions defined by the user can be queried by using ATTR = securityquestion.

  • A lot of questions

    Background.
A while ago I asked for some advice about external drives. I currently have 4 WD 4TB attached to a sonnet eSATA card and 3 WD 2 TB attached to a sonnet FW card and was having some issues with access times when saving to them. I decided to order some OWC mercury enclosures, unfortunately I had to order them from the US and I think they're sending them on a raft, since they haven't yet arrived.
After yet another failure of one of the WD 4TB drives, I've now ordered 2 x WD 2TB green drives as a temporary solution which I intend putting in my remaining 2 internal bays.
I've had a few issues with my Mac Pro which I've largely ignored over the 3 years I've had it, and I'm tempted to throw in the towel and go for a new mac at the same time as I'm re-organising my external storage. However I thought I'd list the issues I have and see if anyone has any comments about them in addition to some questions I have relating to configuring the possible new mac.
    _Current issues._
The first issue I had was from new, it had FW issues from day one and FW completely died after about a week. Apple did say they would take it in but rather than be without it I purchased a sonnet FW card.
About a year and a half ago the display failed to light up after a shut down and restart, several attempts later it did eventually restart properly. This has happened regularly since but a couple of shut downs and restarts always work.
When this happens I can hear the mac starting normally but I just have no display, on occasions the attempts to restart it will ramp up the fans to maximum and I have to shut down and pull the power cord to reset.
My graphics card is a Radeon X1900, but without really having enough knowledge to make such a statement I wonder if it isn't PCI related rather than just the graphics card.
For the avoidance of doubt this only happens with some shut downs and never happens with restarts.
I also have some doubts about my RAM, the info from profiler and activity monitor don't seem to match up.
_A new mac or not and what configuration._
First question is how long has it been since the mac pro line was updated.
Not sure what CPU's I have they're the first Quad cores (3 Ghz), I've usually bought my macs by going for the top model in the belief they'll serve my needs for longer and not that I particularly need the horsepower they give at the point of purchase. If I do this today it's a hefty price, so does someone have some sort of guide as to how my current CPU's compare with todays line up. My current CPU's are still more than acceptable for what I do.
My intention has been (when the raft arrives) to move all my data internally and max out the macs HDD bays, to backup everything via time machine to one eSATA enclosure, back up data with 3rd party software to a second enclosure and have a 3rd enclosure for temporary use, a spare so to speak. My intention was to use green drives in the enclosures because speed isn't an issue and they're used only occasionally. Speed isn't really an issue internally either, would greens be sufficient or are the blacks not only faster but more robust.
    _Last question_ (for now)
I have a lot of failed drives lying about, I appreciate it's speculative but what proportion of those drives are likely to have failed because of their cheap enclosures and how many because of the drives themselves, in short what's the chance I can use some of them in my new mercury enclosures (once the raft arrives)

    Winston Churchill wrote:
What about my current MP how would it compare to the current Mac pro line up.
I have the same basic machine as yours and have used Cinebench CPU Benchmark to compare with the latest Mac Pro but obviously yours may be faster or slower depending the precise components in your machine:
    *My Machine:*
    8C/8T @3.00GHz, Intel Xeon CPU X5365 - Score 6.24
    *Reference Machine*
    8C/16T @2.92 Ghz, Intel Xeon CPU X5570 - Score 10.33 (65% Improvement)
Obviously there is more to performance than raw CPU performance but having mod'ed mine pretty well now (256 GB SSD Boot drive, 4,.5 TB Raid0 data drive, ATI Radeon HD 4870 Graphics - see blog posts below) I'm finding much of the work I am doing (video work mainly) is processor bound. I've also been thinking about upgrading. You should maybe consider the same.
Your 1900XT for example: I had one of these BTO and hated the noise and lack of performance. I jumped to the 8800GT when it was made available for the early Mac Pro's and now have a 4870 which is fact and quiet. This is hundreds of pounds of graphics upgrades that I could have used on a new machine.
The mods I have made have significantly improved my machine as you can see in the results of my blog posts below. However the best solution for you is probably to upgrade to a new machine. But I would encourage you NOT to buy a new Mac Pro now as the current model is 18 months old and Apple must be launching their new models soon.
Implementing an SSD for the boot drive may actually be a good investment now whilst waiting for the new models to come out as it will significantly enhance your existing system and you can swap it into your new machine when it arrives so you wouldn't lose anything.
    Good luck anyway

  • Question on Interface Groups and Mobility

    Hi everyone.
    I have a small question.
I have two 5508 controllers with 6 Access Points (3 on each controller).  The network layout has one AP on one controller, one on the other, 45 degrees and about 100ft apart from each other.
In this layout the clients roam from one AP to the other, one controller to the other, but there are certain times where the client loses connectivity to the network (layer 3). I don't see any disconnect or roaming messages in the controller logs, but the laptop shows a "!" sign in its wireless connection (win 7).
It can take from a few seconds to several minutes for it to get an ip address and connectivity again.
    Now, for my setup:
I have 3 interfaces with different VLANs, and an interface group that binds those 3 interfaces together. The interfaces are called the same on both controllers, and the interface group as well.
The wlan number is the same, as the SSID configuration.
    The question is:
When the client roams to the other controller, does it retain the same interface/VLAN configuration?  I have found documentation stating that when the user roams and the WLC has the same subnet, it goes with no issues, but it doesn't mention interface groups.  Could it be that in some handovers the client falls in a different VLAN even when it is in the same interface group?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Are these two WLC in same mobility group ? If that is the case clients should not change the IP when they roam from one WLC to another. Even in interface group configuration it should work like this.
Here is sample config I did to test this out (I haven't use interface group, but as per my understanding It should not make any difference).

  • Configuring 9iAS and 9iDS on stand-alone WIN XP Pro

I've been trying to finish up assignments for class using Forms Builder from 9iDS, and now when I try to run a form after it has been compiled I get this message:
FRM-10142: The HTTP listener is not running on <computer name> at port 8889. Please start the listener or check your runtime preferences.
I've read through various websites, along with Oracle, that talk about configuring the HTTP listener. And all of them mention an Oracle Application Server Manager 4.0. I cannot find such a component in my installation of 9iAS.
The TNS Listener seems to be running fine. I'm able to connect to the database, and run various services. Can you tell me how I can get an HTTP Listener configured?
A Question that was asked was if I was running the form as a web-form or as client-server? The HTTP listener is only involved when attempting to run the form as a "web-form".
Also, for some reason, the DEMO schema did not get installed. Where would I find this?

Has anyone here actually had a problem which they traced to SP2 and as a result decided to remove SP2 or otherwise go back to an XP install without SP2?
No one that i've heard about if installing from slipstreamed sp2 cd.
The only ones with problems i've noticed is peps that have all kind of software and drivers installed pre sp2 upgrade .
And the upgrade goes bad caused by unidentified installed software and/or drivers that crash with the A64 combined with sp2 DEP technology.

  • 4402 anchor in DMZ, how to configure the Firewall

    Hello,
I am not sure if there is a document or thread on this topic aleady though I have been looking.
We have a 5508 foreign controller
We have a 4402 anchor controller
We have a DMZ layer 2 only switch
    We have a ASA5520 firewall
I have configured both WLC controllers for guest wireless to the DMZ. They see each other in the mobility group.
I have added vlan800 (arbitrary vlan we chose) in the DMZ switch. Currently is does not have any ip address on it and we would prefer if it stays that way.
We want the anchor to also provide the dhcp scope for all guest wireless which is why we created vlan800 on the DMZ switch as well as in the Anchor controller.
The Anchor controller vlan800 has an ip address 172.18.1.2/24.
The guest wireless network is 172.18.1.x/24 (again, provided by the anchor controller).
My firewall has a DMZ address of 172.16.67.1/24
Ok here is where I get more fuzzy, How do i configure my firewall to accept traffic from the new ip scope i created?
The firewall does not have anymore free physical ports so I think I have to somehow make the existing physical DMZ interface a trunk or give it a secondary ip address of 172.18.1.1/24 to become the gateway for the guest wireless traffic. (besides setting up the allow/deny rules for internet access in the firewall).
I have not been able to find a document that goes into the DMZ requirements for wireless so far.
    Thanks!

    Hi Dennis,
Yes I have gotten the two controllers talking to one another and able to do both ping test eping and the other one (i forget the name).
I do believe I have a working understanding of the anchor to foreign controller configuration.
My question is specific in as much as it relates to the DMZ switch and firewall.
The configuration of the DMZ switch and firewall is the documentation I am unable to locate with examples of this configuration.
I cannot seem to get to any link that has the word "partner" in it even though I log into my cisco account.
If there is a different link I would be happy to check it out.
As for your question about trunking the port, can you clarify which device your speaking of?
I have the DMZ switch port trunked that connects to the Anchor controller.
    Thanks

  • Question about webservice and wsdl file

    Hi All.
I have this scenario , the customer wants to send some information as they happen
The customer wants to use a web service to our database(JDBC)
I understand that from this requirement , I have to develop the Object in PI , and create the wsdl file to send it to the customer , this wsdl file will have the URL and other information for the consuming of the webservice.
Now the weired thing is the customer insists that we should use their wsdl file , I am confused about this , I understand that when the customer send their wsdl file , it is because they will act as a receiver to our request , right ?
but if they want to act as sender , then the wsdl file should be sent from PI side based on the configuration.
My question is it possible to create a scenario based on the cunstomer wsdl file eventhough the customer is the sender .
if so what and how the URL will be.
    Thanks.

refer Walkthrough - SOAP  XI  RFC/BAPI
    your URL will be;
The inbound address for SOAP messages is: http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=party:service:channel
Under party:service:channel enter the party name, the service name, and the name of the communication channel. If no party has been created, enter the following: channel=:service:channel
