Configuration of ITS to EP NW 6.0 SP 9

Dear all,
I need create the connection between ITS Service and Portal NW 6.0 SP 9.
Because, We need can visualize the transaction of System R3 in the browser.
We have the follow configuration
1.- System operative Windows
2.- We have install Netweaver 6.0 SP 9 and WAS 6.40
3.- We have install BW 3.5
I realized the follow steps:
1.- I start the transaction SICF and navigate to
default_host/sap/bc/gui and We checked if this service has been
activated.
2.- I checked if the service is working by right-clicking on the
default_host/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui node, selecting "test service".
A browser session showing the webgui.
3.- In the portal, we define a system in the system landscape and enter
the following values for the internet transaction server (ITS) setting:
ITS Hostname: sapbw:8000
ITS Path: /sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui
ITS protocol: HTTP
But, this application return a message error when We selecting "Test
Connections"
<b>Results</b>
1. The system object represents an SAP system.
2. The following parameters are valid: wap.ITS.path () ; wap.ITS.protocol () ; wap.ITS.hostname ()
3. HTTP(S) connection failed

I did this test but I do not work either.
At present I can see deals of my system BW across SAP web Transaction Gui but cannot see deal of the system R3
The configuration that I have is: in a server there is installed SAP R3 4.7 and in another server I have installed SAP BW 3.5 and WAS 6.40.
How can I do the configuration of ITS for that it could see information of my system R3?

Hi Kiran,
Please fallow the below steps to create the custom infotype. If you have any quires let me know.
For Creation of Infotype first Go to Transaction PM01, Enter the custom Infotype number which you want to create, it should be a 4 digit number and have to start with 9xxx.
then select the `Employee Infotype' radio button
after that select the `PS Structure Infotype'
then click on Create A separate table maintenance window appears
then Create a PS structure with all the fields you want on the infotype
Save and Activate the PS structure
now Go back to the initial screen of PM01
Click on `All' push button. It takes a few moments
Click on `Technical Characteristics. Infotype list screen appears
Click on `Change'(pencil) button
Now select your Infotype and click on `Detail' (magnifying glass) button
Give `T591A' as subtype table & also Give `T591S' as subtype txt tab
Give your subtype field as subtype field & Save and come back to PM01 initial screen
Click on `Infotype Characteristics' Infotype list screen appears
Click on `Change' (pencil) button & on New Entries
and then Enter your Infotype number and short text Here we have to set different Infotype Characteristics as per the requirement. (Better open another session with some standard Infotype's infotype characteristics screen and use as the reference
to fill yours). Now save ur entries
Now the Infotype is created and ready to use.
If you want to change the layout of the Infotype as per your
requirement
In the PM01 initial screenSelect `Screen' radio button and give
2000 as the screen name, then click on edit.
In the next screen.. Select `Layout Editor' and click `Change'.
Screen default layout appearshere you can design/modify the
screen..change the attributes of the fields..etc.
Save and activate. (Don't forget to `Activate at every level)

I am actually trying to install SAP-Ecc 6.0 in Home PC(Laptop i mean)...
i have Windows XP ....As of now i just have SAP-GUI installed..but i need the server(IDES or any log on details)...to work and play around(practice or have hands-on)...which application server(create a logon pad) and clients(login and pwd) to use...any free source exists...just to work on SAP..
Even i heard in Minisap or IDES...less tables and datas are only stored...say only 'sflight' like tables will be there..or even some display mode only(access to many TCODES)..
so is that any suggestions to configure or customize ourselves..to work and improve our knowledge?
I was a developer...now home-maker...but would be good if i can play around and develop my interest on SAP-ABAP...
can any one of u, pls do help me out to get server details(for entering in SAP-GUI) and its clients as well as password(development,testing,etc...TCODEs where we can create/display/change,etc.. mode access)....?

System configuration for ITS and for BSP

Hi,
I´m looking for the parameters needed in a system to connect to an ITS and also to BSP.
I have created one system to be able to connect to ITS and another one to be able con connect to BSP, both of type SAP Load Balancing system.
The system I created to connect to ITS has the following configuration I entered:
Connector:
SAP Client = 350
Internet Transaction Server (ITS)
ITS Description = myDescription
ITS Host Name = myhostname:port
ITS Path = /sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui
ITS Protocol = http
Thats it that´s the only configuration I´ve made.
For the BSP system I entered:
Connector:
SAP Client = 800
Web Application Server (Web AS):
Web AS Description = myDescription
Web AS Host Name = myhostname:port
Web AS Path = /sap/bc/bsp/sap
Web AS Protocol = http
My question is this, is this configutation enough?,
It is working fine with this configuration but I´ve seen some other information where they fill more parameters in the connector section, would this extra parameters in the connector section help in any way or they will just simply be ignored?, We will be using Web Dispatcher for both.
does somebody knows the answer? Is there some documentation on this?

The connector properties are only required if you are planning on utilizing the SAP connector to connect to your backend system.
What you have configured so far should suffice for ITS and BSP applications. I hope you have configured the system aliases already.

How to install & Configure OLAP & its service?

Can any one guide on installation of OLAP?
I have choosen the option Oracle OLAP while i installed the Oracle database. But the user OLAPSYS + OLAPDBA didn't istall. I gave the privilidges OLAPDBA to system user and then right clicked on OLAP but there was no such thing as to start oracle OLAP manager

What version of the database are you trying to install and configure? If it's 9.0.1 (in which OLAP was a more 'standalone' service with it's own instance manager, process and so on) you'd do better to install 9.2.0.1, and patch it up to 9.2.0.4, as OLAP is much more integral and is installed when you choose the 'Data Warehousing' database type.
Instructions on installing 9.2.0.1 can be found at http://docs.oracle.com, as can instructions on working with the OLAP option.

Configuring Integrated ITS for other browsers?

Is there a enhancement package or anything else provided by SAP to allow other browsers like Safari, Chrome, Opera and etc... to work with Integrated ITS w/o getting the ugly ITS error page saying the browsers is not supported?

you can turn off the browser check in SAP ITS as it is described in note Note 972116 - Integrated ITS, browser invalid/not supported
by adding parameter ~USERAGENTCHECK 0

Hi,
You must download the JDBC driver for SQL SERVER from this website:
http://jtds.sourceforge.net/
(Please download the distribution, and not the source - ex: jtds-1.2.2-dist.zip) - Unzip the file in a directory you can create independently from SQL Developer - You have to get a .jar file (ex: jtds-1.2.jar).
Then , in SQL Developer, do the following:
Click Tools, then Preferences, then Database, then Third Party JDBC Drivers.
Click Add Entry.
Select the jar file (ex: jtds-1.2.jar). for the JTDS driver you downloaded from http://jtds.sourceforge.net/
Then Click on the Left high pane Connections.
Click on the icon 'New Connection' .
Give a Connection Name and a User/Password for the connection. This user must have sufficient privileges to perform the tasks that you want perform while connected to the database, such as creating, editing, and deleting tables, views, and other objects.
Click on SQL SERVER tab.
Specify the SQL SERVER hostname or TCP/IP address and the port.
Click on the 'Retrieve database' button. If previous parameters and JTDS driver are correct, you will see your SQL SERVER database displayed in the list box.
Select the database and then click on Connect.

In order to call an transaction from ECC, you should choose the logical system of the ECC System itself. You will get the information regarding the logical name assigned to your ECC System using the tcode SM59. The logical system must have been defined for the ECC System before you integrated CRM to backend ECC.
Check the tcode SM59 and you will find logical name of your ECC System there.
And yes, you are suppose to use the existing ECC logical system, which is mapped with SAP CRM system.

What is your backend version. If it is ECC 5.0 or ECC 6.0 you need to configure integrated ITS. There are some differences interms of features offered by standalone Vs integrated ITS. Service marketplace will list them very well. (http://service.sap.com/sap-its)

Transmission does not keep its configuration after restart

Hi everyone,
I have a problem coming up with gnome's last upgrade.
Since Gnome 3.8 then, transmission 2.77 will not keep its configuration. I've already tried to erase the ~/.config/transmission folder in order to start transmission with a "clean" configuration but its not working.
Does anyone have the same problem ? And more importantly, does anyone have a solution yet ?

I don't think that's a good idea, there is probably a valid reason a config file is being overwritten, your solution would disable the actual application from changing its own config file...
I had a similar problem with the transmission daemon,
Basically this is what I have deducted:
Start transmission
It reads config file
Stop transmission
It re-writes the config file with what it first read when it started plus applying changes you may have made via a GUI.
Basically as I said earlier, if you edit transmissions config file while it is running with vim or nano or whatever, those changes will be over written when transmission stops.
The solution is to either change settings from the GUI, or make sure there is no transmission running, then edit the config file and save it. Everything should then work so long as you haven't made a syntax error when editing the config file.

SSO Configuration not working - Still asking for Userid and password

Hi Guys,
I have configured Portal to use with backend server. Configured WAS & ITS and created System Alias.
For Testing SSO I did following steps on portal:
System Administration > Support > SAP Appliction > SAP Transaction
Selected system Alias and tcode se12. Selected SAPGUI for HTML. Pressed Go.
Instead of SE12 screen, I get Logon Screen asking for USERID and password.
I should be getting SE12 screen directly without entering USERID and PASSWORD.
I tested with Transaction iView (SE12) and getting the same logon screen. After entering userid/password it displays SAP Easy Access menu instead of displaying SE12
Please help.

1. Is the username same in the portal and the backend that you are trying to connect, ensure that there is the same username that exists in the system you want to connect to. YES
2. The ticket is imported properly- check the ACL and Certificate list in Tcode STRUSTSSO2.
Ticket is valid from 01 Jan 2009 to 14 Mar 2012.
3. Check for the parameters in place login_accept_ticket = 1 and login_create_ticket = 2 and icm_hostname_full is set to FQDN.
In RZ10 it has 3 parameters:
login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1
login/create_sso2_ticket = 2
icm/host_name_full = sapecc6.tri.com
4. What is the result when you test the system connection?
WAS & ITS Connections are successful.
Connection test for Connectors is giving following results:
Results
Retrieval of default alias successful
Connection failed. Make sure user mapping is set correctly and all connection properties are correct.
My Connectors Details:
Application Host : sapecc6
Gateway Host : sapecc6.tri.com
Gateway Host : 3301
SAP Client : 800
SAP Client : EC7
SAP System Number : 01
Server Port: 3201
System Type: SAP_R3
I am using same userid for Portal and backend.
5. Are the 2 systems that you want to configure SSO in the same domain?
I am trying to connect R3 to Portal.

How to configure a custom link in ESS for LTA?

I have a requirement to display a pop-up alv report, once user click on a link "Leave_Details" in ESS. I am able to display pop-up alv but background screen is empty as its a separate WD application however I want that as soon as user selects any row from that popup alv it should be fetched and displayed on the LTA screen of Portal. It seems link is not configured so its displaying blank background screen while for other standard links this screen is displayed.
Kindly help in this how we can display a custom link in ESS and after fetching any single record it should be closed and single row would be displayed in LTA screen.

Thanks for your reply however here I am not asking how to create popup, it has already created however my question is, how to configure the link used to display that popup alv?
As shown in the screen as soon as user clicks on the given link shown in below screenshot this popup is displayed,
and after clicking on this link, below screen is displayed
Here background screen is empty whereas it should display the ESS screen in the background, so as soon as user select any row from the popup alv, i'll pass the data into ESS screen using BADI.

Error while verifying Websphere Configuration

Hi all,
I am tring to configure LiveCycle ES with WebSpehere.
I configured the Websphere Server and installed the ES server too.
But when i run the "Verify Application Server Configuration" Task using configuration manager its throwing an error.
The websphere application server where i gonna deploy the EAR and the LiveCycle ES server are installed in two differnt machine. I did install a local copy of websphere (in the ES machine) as mentioned in the configuration manager. The configuration manager recognises the local copy of the Websphere where as it is throwiung error when i give test connection for the remote websphere application server.
Can anyone tell me how should i specify the host name for the remote websphere server? I am just mentioning the ip address of the machine.
Pleas ehelp me. Its very urgent.

So Machine A has LiveCycle installed. It also has WebSphere installed.
Machine B has WebSphere, which is the target for LiveCycle
Assuming that both machines have the same version of WebSphere, I'd recommend the following:
- deploy a simple sample app to the WebSphere appserver instance on Machine B
- Start a browser on Machine A
- Try to load the sample app on Machine B and see if it works
You can also manually deploy the EARs to the WebSphere appserver instance on Machine B.

SMD Configuration on MDM 7.1 with Solution Manager 7.01 SP19

Hi,
Kindly let me know if someone has faced issue with configuring SMD on SMD 7.1 with Solution Manager 7.01 SP19. Presently I have configured that and System is being shown in Wily Introscope Webview but Saposcol is greyed out in that.
Also system is not showing any data in Introscope Dashboard. Any guess for this?
Earlier while I was configuring SMD, error related to null installation directory (...Invalid root directory: /usr/sap/SID/null ) were occuring. After that when I created a softlink for saposcol service from /usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/saposcol to /usr/sap/SMD/SMDA97/exe.
Still no data and still in SMD Agent logs saposcol service warning is there.

Here is our scenario. SAPOSCOL was not there in /usr/sap/SMD/SMDA97/exe first place. So I made the softlink from /usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/saposcol to /usr/sap/SMD/SMDA97/exe and than re-ran setup again but still of no use.
Our Soltuion Manager saposcol version and MDM saposcol version is same. Below is the SMD Agent log of MDM server:

Our MDM is 7.1 version and Solution Manager is 7.01 (EHP1) with SP19 so we should configure our MDM system as 7.1 version which we did but still data is not coming in Wily properly. Its not showing SID name under the hostname in Wily Introscope and neither is MDM Servers (Master Data Import Server, Master Data Server & Master Data Syndication Server under SID).
Now the interesting thing is that if we configure our MDM server as 5.5 version with Solution Manager and do the configuration than its showing in Wily but in that case MDM Cockpit doesn't work.
We want both to work Wily as welll as MDM Cockpit since our MDM and Solman version matches for both configuration.
Any ides or help steps to do that?

now, I configure integrated ITS with T-code SICF .
I create a external aliases "/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui" ,aAfter that I can connect to the
ITS with the following URLs:

But now ,I have some problem cannot solve as follow:
1 When I logon ITS, the default language is English ,only English and Genman may be
selected,The requirement is that I want to use other language as the default logon language.
When I on the pop-up dialog box "Change External Alias" tab " Service data" ,"Anymous Logon
Data "select a Language "Chinese",the system pop-up a message box show "code page not
supported".how can i configure the default logon language ?
2 I hope use "https"-- Security Reqiurements ,as a security link ,so I selected "SSL",aAfter

3 I hope change the webgui theme , in ITS620 have theme 00,90 ,99 .and we can select
"EnjoySAP". but in integrated ITS 640 , i donot know where to find the its admin page to
setup the theme . can you tell me how can i find the admin page to setup the theme .

Hope this Information is useful.
The SAP Integrated ITS only supports the new "Tradeshow" design (unlike the "standalone" ITS which also supports the well-known EnjoySAP design). The new design is more easily incorporated into the Enterprise Portal and is better adapted to the design of other SAP Web UI technologies (BSP, WebDynpro).
There are also changes to the header area in SAP integrated ITS in Tradeshow: The menu bar and standard toolbar functions are collected on either side of the transaction code field in the buttons "Menu" (on the left) and "System" (on the right). The application toolbar elements are then displayed to the right. Instead of symbols, the system displays the text description. If there is insufficient space to display all buttons, you can display the other elements by choosing the "More" button to the right of the screen.
Exceptions:
In Release 6.40 (NetWeaver 2004) , the new design is only available for the Internet Explorer. As of Release 7.00 (NetWeaver 2004s), it is also available for Firefox and Mozilla Browser. For this reason, the Enjoy design continues to be supported for Mozilla and Firefox in Release 6.40 (but only for these browsers, and even then only for this design, and not Tradeshow).
Furthermore, in Release 6.40, there are some Internet Application Components (that is, Web applications that build on the ITS), which continue to be displayed with the "Enjoy" design. Of course, the "Enjoy" design continues to be supported for these applications.
You can use SITSPMON Transaction to monitor the integrated ITS.
