Configuration of SLD

Hi All,
We are installaing XI system for that we had installed WAS 6.4 and is running sucessfully, but we are not able to confgure SLD.
When we try to logon to SLD using http://<Hostname>:<PORT>/Sld
then it asks for the username and password and if we enter J2EE_ADMIN username and its password then it displays "You are not authorized "
We tried to Assign user J2EE_ADMIN to group SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR using Visual administrator but it is also giving error.
So please help us out in this.
Thanks in advance,
Gaurav

  • Reg : Initial configuration for SLD

    HI all ,
In the netweaver administration portal we have a option for deploy and change .when we click on that we have some options for initial configuration. Now the doubt that i have is that we have installed netweaver java stack on a server .We have configured local sld on that .We want to connect to a seperate ECC 6.0 system. That system doesnt have a sld configured for it .So we want to bring that system into our sld.I have configured NWA_01 i.e .configuration for local sld and NWA_03 i.e. create a connection to the SLD and Setting required authorizations for SLD (CIM client settings) in netweaver administrator portal.Do i need to configure only these or anything else other than this .One more thing is that when i enter the netweaver administrator portal i am getting these error messages.
System Landscape Directory is not accessible
Only local system can be administered
Any pointers regarding this.Thanx in advance .

    Hi there,
The java stack is installed as standalone or ABAP+Java?
You need to maintian SLD server details in RZ70 on ECC server and test if data is sent successfully. Check for RFCs SLD_UC/SLC_NUC in ECC.
Also, check if SLD server is running.
    regards, Sean.

  • Configure SLD during the Installtion

I am installing the XI and EP system with NetWeaver 04s. At the moment, I am at step "Cental SLD", pretty much the beginning of the installtion. It says that I have to enter my SLD configuration.
    I have the option between:
    - Configure local SLD
    - Register in existing central SLD.
I am assuming that I have to have installed an SLD upfront. Is that true??? If yes, how can I install the SLD before the installtion routine?
    Which option should I choose??
    Thanks.

  • SLD Data Supplier Configuration in AS Java System

    Hi All,
I am trying to configure my SLD manually in SAP Netweaver CE 7.1
    1. Both SLD_DataSupplier and SLD_Client Destinations are created and are successfully.
    2. All the security roles and groups are created and mapped in Identity Management (SAP NWA).
    3. Also SLD is running.
    4. CR_Content is imported from Browser.
When i click SLD_DATAsupplier_configuration in SAP NWA- configuration management - infrasturcture
    Target_Url - undefined.
Both the Destionations are successfully when i ping those destinations.
Also when i click "collect and send data". I am getting this error.
Collect and Send Data Failed. Data transfer failed. Destination SLD_DataSupplier is undefined.
When i see the trace file in \usr\sap\CE1\j00\j2ee\cluster\server0\log\default.trace
    i get the error

How can i resolve this error. What other configurations has to be done for this.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Divya

    Hi Mark,
SLD Configuration works fine with wizard based configurations. But manually when i try I fail in this automatic collect and send data.
Also while creating destinations, i tried using
    http://localhost:50000
    http://localhost:50000/sld
    Ping is successful.
But During Destination creation when i give
http://localhost:50000/sld/ds. It says "bad Request. Parse error".
Also i am referring this pdf.
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/20b1adee-ce37-2c10-16a3-ef3e1ca948da?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true
Here at the picture where the target url is "Undefined". The automatic send property holds a value of true. In my case,
    target url is undefined. But
    automatic send = false.
Can i change this parameter value.
    What other configuration is required.

  • SLD Configuration in Netweaver CE Trial Version

    Hi,
I have installed NetWeaver CE trial version. Now I am trying to configure SLD. When I am logging in SLD then I am getting a message like <b>System Landscape Directory (SLD) is not installed on this AS Java system</b>.
In SLD status it is showing stopped. In SLD check I am getting an error like <b>Status: CIM_ERR_FAILED: Received response is not a CIM Operation Response! Check "http://9.184.168.202:50300/sld/" is the correct URL for the SLD CIM Object Manager (default is "http://9.184.168.202:50300/sld/cimom") and that user "administrator" has access to the SLD via http and is not required to change his/her password</b>.
If anybody have done the same thing please help me to configure the SLD in NetWeave CE trial version.
    Thanks
    Chandan

    HI,
Sure you can. setup Scot in transaction scot.

  • Configure Data Supplier targets in SLDs

I am trying to Configure data supplier targets in the SLD.
The source and target slds are @ same levels - SP 15 NWS 7.0 with PI usage type
In the source SLD i have added a SLD with the following parameters:
    URL : http://<target_hostname>:5<target_ins_no>00/sld
    user: SLDDSUSER
    passw: *******
i started and stopped the SLD, but when i make any changes in the source system i am not able to find that data in the target system
I checked the logs and there is nothing there
I dont think so its related to my configuration because after removing the connection made and starting and stopping the SLD Server we have the same error in the logs
Do we have any guide for getting the right way how to configure the SLD Data Supplier targets ?
    Rgds

    Hi All,
The problem was with the manner in which i was testing this data supplier bridge.
I created a Technical System in SLD1 and thought it should get registered in both the SLD. But since these change dont go via the SLD Data Supplier Bridge these are not updated in SLD2
Later i took an ABAP System and pointed it to SLD1 using Tx RZ70 and the ABAP System was not only registered on SLD1 but the SLD Data Bridge passed this information to SLD2 as well
There is a Fully Syncronizing option in PI 7.1  which also helps in syncronizing the contents of two SLDs
    The paramters i used
    SLD URL: http://<hostname>:5<ins_no>00/sld
    user : SLDDSUSER
    pass: *******
    THanks to all

  • Central SLD Configuration

    Dears,
Recently we installed PI DEV and PI QAS server. At time of configuration we choose local SLD option for configuration.
But now we are getting requirement to configure central SLD.
So please confirm which strategy is good between them and if it is central SLD,Please suggest the
procedure to change local SLD configuration to central SLD.
    Shivam

    Hi Shivam
The SLD planning guide provided previously is the key source to plan, implement and run an SLD landscape
However what it may not deal with specifically is changing an existing SLD landscape to accomodate a local PI specific
SLD and a new Central SLD for Solution Manager (or other purposes)
Some things to consider when selecting Sync options
    1) 1 Dual purpose SLD is not recommended - a central SLD might have different administration requirements than a PI specific SLD
    2) Where possible do not change established import or export lines in either SLD
    3) Keep all SLDs involved in the sync at the same J2EE version, SP landscape and CIM model/content
As the PI SLD can be productive critical - full consideration has to be given to this SLD as you can
still maintain systems manually in a central SLD manually - or indeed in Solution Manager itself (both manually and automatically via RFC) - therefore I would recommend a unidirectional sync from local PI SLD to Central SLD of PI landscape data only - either manually or automatically or indeed explore any available options to have data suppliers update both SLDs (there was some options similiar to this in older SLD versions - but I am not completely familiar with the latest SLD builds)
I would not however encourage full sync or CIM based sync as there maybe established CIM import lines on either SLD nor would I specifically encourage the Central SLD to influence data on the Local existing PI SLD
    Best wishes
    Stuart
