Configuration of weekly holiday

Hi All
I am working on negative time management configuration. Company has different weekly holiday/s for their different location. There are holidays on Saturday and Sunday for location A, but only Sunday is the holiday for location B. I want to make it clear that location B is the plant. I am maintaining Employee Group / Subgroup as like;
Employee Group:
01: Active
Employee Subgroup:
T1: Salaried Employee
T2: Monthly wage earner
T3: Contract employee
T4: Apprentice
T5: Retiree
(I was planning to prepare separate employee subgroup for employees of location A, is it helpful?)
Please suggest me to configure weekly holidays in desired manner.

Hi Anand,
Dont prepare a different ESG for location A and B.
The Employee structure has nothing to do with holidays except for grouping for controlling.
This will have to be all done in the Work Schedules in Time Management.
Create two different work schedules one with holiday on Sat and Sun and other with only on Sunday.
I believe your location to be Personal Subareas.
You can group PSA using PSA grouping and then assign Work Schedules to it.

Lets talk with an example.
Go to scalc and then create a public holiday , eg: Dussera.
While creating a Public Holiday u will get a pop-up screen, choose Floating Public Holiday (last option)
Then, go to holiday calendar and assign it to the calendar eg: IN
Here it will ask u for the year. Dussera Holiday is given every year, so u can make an entry for the year and date manually there. These entries will have to be maintained every year.

Weekly lot size configure

How can i configure the weekly lot size which should plan the matrilal in the week days not at the start of the week .
as per my knowledge if it is weekly then As standard the system tries to schedule the receipts for the first requirements date in a period for the weekly lot size (WB).
for WB (weekly lot size ) it will not accept the other lot size in the customization.

The requirement is a new lot size like WB, but the End of planning time fence (10days ) should not be rounded to the start of next week.
actually our client wants to use the Planning time fence 10 days & total replinishment time 10 days for the material & that should consider in the planning the material & in the MD04 screen also it should look with the same date .
i have mentain the planning time fencce 10 & total replinishment type 10 days but when i see the md04 it is showing the differant dates to me
example from todays date for
todays date 31.04.2009 (5 day working as per the factory calendar)
19.04.10 -- end of time fence
If i want "End of planning time fence" date is same like "End replenishment lead time.
14.04.10 -- end of replinishment time
14.04.10 -- end of time fence
how i will achive this .
I have used the material with firming type but i am not able to see the the replinishment time in the MDo4 as mrp element as a .
please provide me a details .

Holidays Calendar switched to Hong Kong!

Today I updated Mavericks to 10.9.4 and the Calendar application started showing the Honk Kong holidays calendar instead of the US holidays
Apparently there's no way to configure which calendar appears when selecting the "Show Holidays calendar" check box in Calendar's General Preferences...
My Mac Book Pro is correctly set ot the US locale and if I open Maps it gets the correct location (more than 10000 miles from Hong Kong...)
I seached through all the .plist files and Calendars data and nowhere found any reference to Hong Kong
Is there a way to configure the default holidays calendar? How Mavericks select the country?

I did some more testing and I found the cause. In "System Preferences -> Language and Region" I have set US as the region but I changed the currency to Euro. If I put back US Dollar I see the correct US Holidays in the Calendar, but if I put any other currency I see the Hong Kong Holidays
It's only the currency that matters because changing the Measurements units to metric or selecting Monday as First day of week does not change the Holidays calendar
My solution was to subscribe to the US Holidays (https://p11-calendars.icloud.com/holidays/us_en.ics) in iCloud (File -> New Calendar Subscription) and disable the Show Holidays calendar check box
In the iPhone that's not happening because you can't select a different currency for each region

How to configure Cisco Unity connection 8.x to play an after hours call handler

Hi,
I have CUCM 8.6 and CUX 8.6, we have successfully configured Call Handlers to play greetings. But the problem is greeting is played complete day and all the day in a week. We want to customize this call handler so that it plays only during the business hours and also during the weekdays.
I have a recorded after hours and holiday greetings recorded but unable to find the way to configure it for Holiday greetins. Please help with the configuration part.

Hi MAC,
What you need to do is configure a schedule for the call handler. On Unity Connection, you can browse to System Settings > Schedules (and Holiday Schedules). In here, you create your schedules to say which times of the day you are open. You then go back to your call handler and apply these schedules that you've created.
Now when a call comes into the call handler, it will check the time against its schedule and play the appropriate greeting.

Public Holiday text not displaying in PT03 (Special Days)

Hi Experts,
For my client, I have to configure a public holiday and restrict it to only few WSRs. This public holiday is not part of any public holiday calendar. I have configured this holiday as a special day by defining the day type selection rule & special day.
When I checked the work schedule in PT03, it is not displaying the holiday class and the text of the public holiday. It is only displaying the day type for this day.
Please help.

Apple Configurator doesn't see my device

Okay so when I plug my ipad into my imac I see via iTunes, which is all good and well. I just downloaded Apple Configurator this week and thought since we had two ipads at the school I should try this out in case we decide to go to a 1-to-1 environment with these. The first one I plugged in was straight out of the apple box brand new and it worked great. I played around with some settings and checked it out to a teacher. The second one had been in the hands of a teacher for a couple of weeks. I plugged it into the imac and bam it pops right up in iTunes. I click Apple Configurator and bam, it is lost in iTunes and nothing shows up in Apple Configurator! I did an Erase All Content and Settings, and still nothing. If I can keep Apple Configurator out of the picture the iMac will see it just fine, but as soon as I start AC it completely disappears, it doesnt' show up in Finder now!
If anybody has any fixes for this I would love to hear them.

ok, never got the Apple TV to work wirelessly, but ended up moving an AP Express to the TV and plugging in the ATV to the e-net port of the express. not really the way I wanted it to work, but it does.

They unable... I am very despessed .

Not outside.....
I thought expect allow buy aboard sim card useful holiday 1- 4 week or more..

You aren't talking to Apple here. This is a user to user forum hosted by Apple. We are all users here.
The iPad specs are clearly listed on Apple's web site: http://www.apple.com/ipad-mini/specs/
If you didn't read the specs and didn't ask any questions I don't see how you can blame anyone other than yourself for your misunderstanding.
It's hard to see why it took you until February to notice the lack of GPS.
I guess your best option now is to sell your WiFi model and get what you really wanted.

Post-holiday start-up blues

Anyone else had this experience? My G5 is usually plugged in to mains power all the time, whether running or asleep. I powered down and unplugged everything before two weeks holiday and on my return, the Mac won't restart. There's a brief 'ping' the fans do a small lurch and then 'ping' it goes off again.
I have tried the PMU reset - but no difference. It might be the whole power suply unit (but why should that die while turned off?). My next step is to replace the lithium battery. The machine is about 3 years old - does that sound about right for the battery life of a G5 in daily use?
Any other ideas?

Thanks. I had a look at that - and others on the board - but none are quite the same. My problem is right at the very start: fans do not run up at all, hard drives do not even begin to spin, the monitor doesn't even think about waking. We're talking dawn of time - way before you can even begin to think about keyboard strokes. And you can only try a PMU reset so many times.
There is power in the machine, it clicks appropriately when you turn on the mains, and the power switch light comes on when pressed, and the fans do the minutest hiccup - but then it all click right off.
I have tested the PRAM battery - that's okay, also tried one from another Mac (BTW have you ever tried to buy a new one in the UK? You'd probably think the 'flagship' Applestore in London would have one, wouldn't you?)
So it looks as if it must be in the power supply unit somewhere and I shall have to get it repaired. Anyone havea better idea than taking it to the 'Genius Bar'? I just know they'll send it away and it'll cost hundreds of pounds.

Apple Configurator - Consistently Inconsistent - Same failures every time

I use Apple Configurator every week, to deploy iPads in schools and colleges around the country. Lately, I have been consistently having the same issue...
I'm using any combination of MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini (no earlier than 2012) and OS X 10.9.5, 10.10, 10.10.1. and Apple Configurator 1.6 (445). the iPads are nearly always new and they are either iPad 2, 4 or Air, but not too often iPad 2 these days. I use a Lock n Charge trolley, a GoCabby or a Kensington Charge n Sync cabinet.
Simply trying to update the iOS version using Configurator, before turning on Supervised mode, installing apps, profiles, etc. and when I click prepare, with 16 iPads plugged in, it will fail on 8 of them the first time. Without doing anything other than clicking stop and prepare again, it will then fail on, say 5, of them. Then clicking stop and prepare again, it will work on 3 or the remaining 5, then eventually will finish them all. Having changed literally no setting and just stopping and starting again, it completes a few more, but never all of the connected iPads. This takes a serious amount of time for clients that are billed by the hour and it's ridiculously frustrating.
Does anyone have any idea what I can do?

Another issue that has now arisen, is that when turning on supervised mode, the supervision profile does not show up in settings. After I install an MDM profile, the supervision profile then shows up in settings.
Not only that, but some of the iPads, when being set up with Configurator, will give an error message saying 'cannot verify supervision state', even though the iPads are showing up in the supervised tab.
You can no longer download older versions of Apple Configurator from the App Store, only 1.7, which means you have to upgrade to Yosemite and purchase the update for the 'Server' app (if you're using it).
They say a bad workman blames his tools, but without an alternative to Apple Configurator...

Reference Date/Time

Hello,
I have a requirement where I have to adjust the date/time of the deadline depending on the other work items in the users activitiy box. Eg.
User is working from 9 am: 6 pm in the day .It is assumed that the total time required is 4 hours for the review and some addition by the key users of each department
Date / time of a new work item should be automatically configured to start time when it arrived + 4 hours. on the same day or next day when 4 hours are over.
if there are work items already available in the workflow then adjust the starttime = end date/ time of the previous item. + 4 hours is the end time.
Should take care of holidays and weekends.
Can you please suggest how to do this ?
Any idea on the available BADI's where we can write the logic ?
Or how to find the BADI which is triggerred.
Can you suggest how to implement the expression for this kind of requirement where the start time endtime depends on the previous item in mailbox. ?
Detailed requirements and limitations:
u2022 Time limitation for each approval: no more than 4 hours per contract;
u2022 Time adjustments (increase of time limits) should be realized when one department (key user) has several contracts to be approved;
u2022 Working time (from 9-00 till 18-00) should be taken into account when calculating the approval time limits;
u2022 Weekends and holidays should also be taken into account during calculation of the approval time limits;
Example:
One of the approval process participants gets a request to approve a new Contract Card at
9-00 (Contract 1). The next document is received at 10-00 (Contract 2). According to the existing procedure, each department must complete the contract approval within 4 hours.
It is necessary to take into account the time available for the first document approval and calculate the time available for the second document approval.
The time available for Contract 2 approval (from 13-00 till 17-00) starts from the moment when the time for Contract 1 approval is over (from 9-00 till 13-00).
If another document (Contract 3) is received at 11-00, then the time available for its approval will be moved forward to the next day, because the start time for its approval will be calculated as 17-00.

You can try out the following steps:
1. Maintain factory calendar including working times, weekly holidays and public holidays.
2. Write a custom Function module to calculate exact date and time if you add 4 hours to start date and time of the workitem having taken the factory calendar into consideration.
3. Call this function module as a background step at the beginning of your workflow. Pass Workitem start date and time as input and store the (+ 4 hour) calculated date and time in workflow container elements
4. In whichever step you need calculated date and time as deadline, use the respective container elements in the Date and Time fields of "latest end" tab after selecting the value "Expression" in the Refer.date/time dropdown and select + 0 (Zero) Minutes.

Computer won't stay authorized for ADE

I can't track down this problem. Previous threads have indicated that this is related to trouble writing to the registry, possibly from an antivirus program, registry cleaner or "permissions issue".
After using a selective startup to disable all non-essential services and disabling my AVG antivirus and ZoneAlarm firewall and uninstalling all registry cleaners and similar utilities, I am still baffled. I am unclear as to what is meant by "permissions issue." Every other program seems to be able to write to the registry.
Linked to this is the mysterious "Adobe Error -474 that pops up when I am trying to use my Sony Reader Library software. Of course I don't use the Sony Library now because too many attempts will cause the "too many activations" problem which it took Adobe Support a week to reset.
I am considering an uninstall of ADE and manual purge of all registry references to ADE followed by a reinstall of ADE to see if that will help, but I don't have enough information about what ADE normally puts in the registry.
Adobe software is normally extremely reliable over many systems and configurations but this is a sad exception.
I would appreciate any advice.

Well it appears I am not the only one having this problem. Every time I download a library book or a purchased book it asked me to authorize my system either through the Adobe ID or my Sony Reader ID. So, the last time I went to get a library book it came up with too many acitivations on both accounts. I emailed sony and they sent a letter with a phone number to call in. I called on Thursday, explained what happened, was on the phone with them for over an hour and they said all would be working fine. I said great because I had bought a netbook and was going to install everything on that instead of the laptop I take back and forth to work. Well I installed on the netbook and guess what, my account is still showing too many activations. So much for having the problem fixed. Now, yes we can create a new account but then my understanding is we lose everything we have in our current library. I really dont want to lose the books I have purchased. Or am I wrong in this?
Any help would be appreciated. I am leaving in another week for a 2 week holiday and need to take my reader along with me as more than a paperweight!!!
